The 21 Best Restaurants On Martha’s Vineyard - Martha's Vineyard - The Infatuation

"In a space just off Main Street in Edgartown, this is arguably the best raw bar on the Vineyard—which is something we don’t say lightly. They usually serve oysters fresh from the waters around the island, with a few littlenecks thrown in, along with dishes like lobster roll sliders topped with caviar, fresh and creative crudo, and wet- and dry-aged steaks. The patio that’s tucked away behind greenery (but still lets you people-watch as the masses walk by) will be your favorite hang all summer." - morgen schroeder, tanya edwards

Google
Great dinner on their beautiful patio. No reservations here so make sure you get there before 6 to try and get a table and/or have your wait be under an hour. Food and service were excellent. The burrata was amazing and so were the bay scallops and swordfish!

Google
The weather was amazing and we sat out in the deck. Our server, Katie, was delightful. Very informative, professional and welcoming. The food was over the top delicious. Hubby started with a Smoked Blackberry Old Fashion. We had the Smoked Pork Belly with tomato jam and polenta to start. So yummy. I had the salmon and hubby had the Sushi Grade Tuna. Our sides that we shared were both amazing. The Truffle Dauphinoise Potatoes were to die for! Brussels spouts were also delish. We passed on dessert only because we were stuffed. We will be going back before the end of our stay highly recommend.

Came here alone for dinner just before 8 and was sat right away. Service was friendly and I was impressed by my servers knowledge of the different types of oysters on offer. She was also knowledgeable about allergies so I was confident ordering a fully gluten free meal including oysters, steak au poivre, mashed potatoes and jalapeno creamed corn.

Google
Food is incredible and on an island where all the menus seem to clone one another, you won’t find these dishes anywhere else. The staff is amazing, friendly and knowledgeable. The VIBE is Creative, Fun and Delicious. I’d give it 10 stars if I could. Seriously, go here.

I arrived at 8:00p and the place was really packed. It was a mad house! Not an enjoyable dining atmosphere for the price. Party of 1 so I ate at the bar. Ordered octopus and skirt steak (medium). Octopus was extremely overcooked (felt like leather) and my skirt steak was cooked from a range of burnt to rare 😳 (see photo). Initial thought was to return when I cut into the burnt end but the bartender informed me that its usually well-done on the ends and medium in the middle. A cut mid-middle was medium so I digressed, however the opposite end of my steak was rare 😳! Each cut of my steak became the running joke for the couple next to me. Complete contrast in food and service from years past. Also no longer accepts Amex (which they do not make you aware of until after you have dined 🤦🏾‍♀️).

Google
We arrived just before they closed down for an hour between lunch and dinner. Not once did we feel rushed. The entire staff was very friendly and accommodating. The large back door that opens to the patio was open as it was just a beautiful day!

Google
Recommend going right after they open. We didn’t have to wait and the service was great. We were very pleased with our meal choices and the oysters of course.

That was a great experience, great service, delicious meal. A riding gem in the heart of Edgartown - MA. Visiting the town for the 4th July parade and for the fireworks.

Yelp
We found Table 19 tucked away on a quiet side street in Edgartown and it was exactly what we were looking for! The ambiance was so nice - charming, relaxed and perfect for the setting. We went on a beautiful summer day for lunch and the vibe was everything. Sitting outside with the breeze and soft upbeat music made it perfect. The food was super fresh, delicious and had a lot of great options. Service was quick, friendly and effortless. HIGHLY recommend going to the spot before leaving the island!

Yelp
Frustrating experience at this restaurant. We are a family of five. Our youngest is six. We get it. That said we take our kids to nice restaurants and there were plenty of kids in this restaurant. First disappointment was the waitress getting every upset with the hostess for seating us in her section. Apparently she thought we wouldn't be ordering a lot of food. Second disappointment was being forced to order all the food at once. The waitress did a terrible job at educating us on how much food would actually be coming to the table so we significantly over ordered. Given it was a raw bar we expected small portions. They were huge. Which is great if you can adjust as you go a bit. But once the apps came out within 5 minutes it felt like we were just being rushed out of the restaurant. So when we come back to Martha's Vineyard we won't be coming back here. Food was good not great. Service and timing was terrible considering the cost. Maybe we'd have a better experience if we didn't have the kids but I probably won't find out because we won't be coming back. PS - we ordered nearly $500 in food so the snappy waitress didn't have much to worry about.

Yelp
The ambiance is really nice. We enjoyed being able to sit outside on a Thursday summer evening. Service is friendly but pretty slow. It took a lonnnnnng time for our oysters to come. The food was tasty - we got oysters, a steak, the shrimp and grits, broccolini, and chocolate cake. Loved all of it, except the grits but that's probably because I'm from Georgia where grits are much better. I also got a strawberry margarita. It was just ok - a little watered down by the time it reached me. Lastly, it is very, very annoying that they don't take AMEX!!

Yelp
We enjoyed our night at 19 Raw. This was our second visit to the island and second time at the restaurant - we made it a point to visit from Oak Bluffs. Since there are no reservations, we had to wait about an hour to be sat. Once we were finally seated, we were excited to eat. We specifically remembered the shrimp, crab and lobster ceviche from our last visit, so we reordered and it was good, although not as good as we remembered. The bacon was new to us, but it was just alright. It's not thick cut bacon and it might be slightly candied, so there wasn't much special about it- we probably wouldn't order again. I ordered the duck breast, which was great. My boyfriend's cod was just alright. The real star of the show was the roasted carrots with cashew butter. Those were fantastic! The side potatoes were also amazing. We would likely come back again, although we would really consider whether the wait and price are worth it.

Yelp
This place was great! The food was delicious, portions were great, staff were friendly, and very much worth the price point. Lobster salad was a HUGE portion and had at least 4 whole lobster claws and even more lobster meat throughout the whole salad - so worth it. Steak on the Filet Mignon sandwich was tender and the caesar salad and clam chowder were good too. Outside patio area is much nicer in my opinion than the inside area, with plenty of umbrellas for shade if needed, so definitely worth getting a table out there on a nice day.

Yelp
This place was absolutely outstanding! I will be dreaming about this meal for a while and Terrill was a terrific server. 11/10

Yelp
They don't serve coffee. Why? Not a welcoming thing to deny your guests coffee after their meal. It wasn't cheap and we spent a good deal of $$ for the words. No coffee. Bad form.

Yelp
This was the best meal I've had in a long time. Came with a group of 8 (6 adults, 2 kids) sadly the restaurant doesn't take reservations so we were quoted about a 30-45 min wait. 49 mins later, we were sat! Given the large group, I thought it was going to take a long time for the food and drinks to come but everything was so prompt and timely. The food quality was some of the best I've had in a while! My recommendations: -lobster salad -pork belly Mac & cheese -blackberry old fashion -sriracha fries (AMAZING! Perfectly crispy and flavored) - New York Strip Everything was soooooo good. Haven't eaten that well in a long time.

Yelp
I have nothing negative to say about this restaurant. I wish that we can return but it's on Martha's Vineyard and we were just visiting for a couple of days. We took a nice stroll from our hotel and arrived five minutes before they opened on a Friday afternoon. It's a first come first serve basis and boy do they get busy quick! Service was excellent with attention to detail and timing. We ordered the lump crab appetizer and French onion soup to share. OH MY GOD:: I can't believe I'm saying this buts it's by far the BEST French onion soup I've had and I've had Many Great ones. This soup MAY make me take another ferry ride just to have seconds. I ordered the herb cod and he the prime rib sandwich. My cod was cooked to PERFECTION! Haven't had cod cooked like that before but one Down side was that pollen was falling from the tree and I couldn't tell if I was eating the herbed part or morsel from a fallen tree above. Lol. But definitely a wonderful experience & I hope to return again one day.

Yelp
this has to be one of the best spots on island. The food is always fresh and nails the mark. We started with the pork belly and seafood ceviche, both excellent! The ceviche does have a little kick to it which I appreciate! Then we rounded off with the tuna tartare and the filet tartare. I find it hard to find places that will do filet tartare so I'm always excited when it's offered! Both were fantastic! Our server Maja B (I think that's how it's spelt) was excellent and attentive. They have a great outdoor patio, first come first serve that accommodated our pup. I would have appreciated little plantain crisps or something with the ceviche and the tuna tartare

Kristi K.

Yelp
It was the best food on the island! Freshest seafood, great ambience, and perfect service!! Totally recommend.

Yelp
This place gets BUSY around 6:30/7pm so come early and put your name down. We had an early dinner around 5:30 pm and there was no wait. We sat outside which was great with the breeze. There is an option of a couple of tables inside and by the bar. They had a wide selection of oysters to pick from. Their drinks were strong and had a mix of sweet and non-sweet ones. Our steak unfortunately came medium-well but we asked for medium rare. The manager came and told us it was medium but switched it out for us and offered drinks/dessert. The scallops and fish were also very fresh! I don't think you can go wrong with any of the menu items so definitely stop by.

Yelp
Came here for lunch on a Tuesday afternoon around 12:30. We requested a table for 6 people on the front patio and even though there was a table for 4 and a table for 2 open next to each other they were very resistant to push them together. They kept saying that they don't like to give up tables to a party of 6, which seemed odd because I personally don't see a difference between a table of 6 and two tables with 4 and 2. After we offered to spilt up our group and sit separately they relented and pushed the tables together. Lunch itself was good. I ordered the beet salad and added chicken. The salad was absolutely enormous (though slightly over dressed) as was the piece of chicken that came with it. Hubs said his prime rib sandwich was just ok.

Yelp
My first night in MV was made incredibly memorable with the wonderful experience we had at 19 Raw. Starting with the staff, they were all fabulous, attentive, and very friendly! I was super impressed with everyone and it made the night. We weren't sure what part of the patio to sit on and opted for the high top once we were brought to the other side of the patio and decided we preferred the people watching to the quiet! We arrived for an early dinner of mainly appetizers and enjoyed all of it. Highly recommend the halibut ceviche with their delicious chips! The Northern Belle oysters were also my favorite from the ones we selected. To drink, I had a couple of glasses of the orange wine that I really enjoyed. Would definitely recommend making your way to 19 Raw when in Edgartown!

Yelp
Oh. My. Lord. Some of the best food I have ever eaten. Great service too. Sat outside during sunset, which touched the treeline and gave the whole patio a golden glow. Some no seeums buzzing about caused a minor annoyance but I was too distracted by my delicious meal. I ordered a half dozen oysters, pork butt, and shrimp and grits. Washed it down with a couple of glasses of Guiness. My soul felt all warm and fuzzy after. I was so satisfied and happy I almost cried myself to sleep. I'll be going back this weekend for lunch before I have to travel home to NY..

Yelp
Low-key elegance yet fun in the way Edgartown often delivers. We went for lunch. Just oysters and clam chowder for us. Our perfect lunch. Oh and French rose brut for me and some amazing spritzer for my friend. Incredible wine list. Just a great lunch in a classy restaurant's outside bar on a glorious late August afternoon. Perfection.

Yelp
Great food, service and ambience. One of the best restaurants on the Vineyard. Get there before the crowds start.

Yelp
First night at Martha's Vineyard and we decided to stop in based on the Yelp reviews. It was a quick 4 minute walk from Main Street. We chose to sit indoors Vs patio and was promptly greeted by our server. I ordered a glass of sparkling Rose and my husband ordered the Sangria. Both were really good and not too sweet, which is always a plus. I had the massive Caesar Salad that was more than enough to share. I also tried the lobster bolognese that is super filling, also big enough to share. My husband raved about the Halibut and roasted Brussels. We both agreed the Caesar was easily the best bite. Enter freely, they've been approved

Yelp
Staff is stuck up. Food is over priced and is just okay. Lots of work to do before I'd go back

Yelp
Space and ambiance is warm. In nice weather, sitting and dining on patio is lovely. Oysters were amazing. Try the Honeysuckles!! The Sriracha Fries are a must. We tried the Bibb salad with crab, which was delicious as well. We also ordered the lobster slider, which was salty and the homemade chips were stale. When a server was asked to bring new chips, she informed us that all were like that and to "talk to the kitchen" if we wanted to complain . Our primary server was almost as curt and clearly not hired for his charismatic personality. I am assuming the experience here during high season must be better given the reviews.

Yelp
The food, service, and ambiance are amazing! Wish they had another location for all of the food traffic!!! Always an amazing time and meal!

Yelp
Fresh clam chowder, tasty. My friend had a variety of oysters. He favored the signature. Cowboy steak was so delicious, so full of flavor. Sides were a good size for two. We had the roasted carrots and steamed asparagus. Wine selection was spectacular. Our server was very knowledgeable, friendly and observant of our needs. The decor was hip with adjustable lights at each table, great for these old eyes. My server suggested how my steak should be cooked because the dry-aged factor and he was totally right. Wonderful suggestion.

Yelp
We walked in knowing it'd be pricey, but you get what you pay for and 19 Raw was excellent. The starting cocktails were perfect, the appetizers were very tasty especially the Menage A Trois ceviche. Tuna Carpaccio - very yummy
google avatar

Bradley A.

Yelp
I cannot believe anyone has ever given this restaurant anything but a 5 star review. My old fashioned cocktail and Salmon belly crudo were exceptional. The service was also excellent. We almost went somewhere else based on reviews, but I am so happy we decided to have a drink. This place was a 15 out of 10!

Yelp
Great oyster selection. Excellent, friendly service. We loved the atmosphere. We only had oysters & bubbles, but it is the perfect place to do so.

Yelp
First time stopping in for dinner. Cozy space on a cold October evening. Drinks were all excellently executed. We shared the beef tartare which was perfectly prepared. Next up was the lobster tagliatelle..perfect choice. Lots of lobster, creamy sauce, & bursting cherry tomatoes. All around great experience.

Yelp
Great afternoon stop, we split 6 oysters and a lobster roll and of course a wash ashore! Look forward to a return visit!

Yelp
Arrived around 6PM on Labor Day. The Oyster Bar was full, however, the Steak Bar inside the back of the restaurant had a few seats open. There looked to be a few tables and booths still available at that time. Our bartender, Stewie, was friendly and attentive and knowledgeable of the menu items. We were well looked after our entire meal. We wanted an app, then dinner, but not sure what dinner we wanted. Although the policy of 13 Raw is to take both app and dinner orders at the same time, Stewie kindly agreed to let us just order the app until we were then ready to put a dinner order in. The wine pours are careful, $18 for Jordan Chard. The Cessar's salad had fresh lettuce, could have used a bit more flavor dressing wise. The NY steak was fresh and good quality. I prefer rib eye, however, that was not an option. It was cooked to taste. The mashed potatoes with goat cheese were very good. I would like to thank Steve Z for wrapping up our evening on such a fun note. The cordials were wonderful and it's clear Steve enjoys spreading happiness. It was a nice surprise and cordial ingredients I may have to add to my own personal bar inventory :)

Yelp
What a blast. 19 Raw is such a fun, delicious, and fantastic venue. We decided to go the seafood route versus steak route for our dinner. Erin was absolutely amazing as well, and guided us through the whole menu. So without further ado - Oysters: GET THEM. We watched the truck legit drop them off. Ocean. Restaurant. Guys, you can't get better than that. Lobster Caviar slider: delicious. Large chunks of lobsters. The caviar was a little underwhelming but overall, super thrilled with this. Tuna Poke: good portion of tuna mixed with the appropriate extra stufffff. Crunchy malanga chips which were large and delicious. Butter poached lobster tails: looks small. It's NOT. Decadent. Fresh. Totally get it. Scallop bowl: this is one of the smaller main dishes that they have. Decent size scallops but it's not going to be an overly filling dish. Shrimp and grits: they know what's up. Wonderfully marinated large chunks of shrimp. The grits are on the firmer side. Great dish, highly recommend Sides- Brussel sprouts, shrimp fried rice: FRICKEN AMAZING. Both are winners and you should totally get. Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Excellent service and great location for anyone bicycling or driving in the oldest town in Martha's Vineyard called Edgartown, grab a dozen of sweetest oysters in shell, absolutely gorgeous Poboy Oyster Sandwich with spicy fries and craft beer. The prices are reasonable but the location and service are top notch. I strongly recommend the place. It's a perfect place to stop and enjoy the most scenic small town in Martha's Vineyard. It's approximately six miles from where we got off from a ferry.

Yelp
Not great if you're a vegetarian. Chef fought with me on FB instead of making me something I wanted. Awful experience!!!
google avatar

Rosemary S.

Yelp
Food was 10/10; such delicious and creative raw fish options. I had the tuna carpaccio and salmon belly and both were generous portions, beautiful presentation, and encompassed such a rich diversity of ingredients and flavor. The hostesses were a little confused and disorganized but their POS system had just gone down so they were probably just struggling with that. I got a dozen oysters for free, not sure why but it was awesome. I sat at the bar and the bartenders were very friendly and well versed on the menu. The ambiance is a little more casual than you might expect for the price but it is the vineyard so not that surprising. There were so many options on the menu I wanted to try so I will definitely be back.

Yelp
This review is for 19 Prime which is a sister restaurant to 19 Raw. Went here on a Tuesday night, wait time was about 45 minutes. We were seated within that time frame. The inside was small but super cute for date night, definitely not good for larger parties, at least not being seated inside. It was very cozy. We sat in the corner and my bf was seated in an awkward way. I guess they have to make the most out of their space. Food: I ordered some Oysters and I wish I could remember all of the names but I can not at all. I will tell you that all of them were delicious especially paired with their sauces! They had this red salsa purée that was absolutely tasty! Paired really well with the oysters! I also ordered the octopus from the appz. Honestly I was waiting for the "wow" factor. The pulpo was cooked very well, but the sauce was lacking something. Maybe a little bit of salt? I don't know but I was looking for the moment where I was like "mmm wooowww this is amazing" but I never got it. My bf ordered the filet mignon and added the lobster tail. I didn't try it but he said it was ok, nothing special. It was a small filet for the price. He ordered the fingerling potatoes as a side and again, it lacked flavor. Service was pretty good. Our server was attentive. Is it worth coming back? Sure, I liked the vibe, the music and the ambiance overall. But I would probably stick to the appetizers and drinks.

Yelp
This was one of the FEW places in Edgartown that is actually open in April. I'm vegetarian so finding a place that's actually open with enough non-seafood/meat options was a struggle. You might be wondering "why the fuck is a vegetarian eating here or even talking about this place?" and that is a fair question. While I'm sure 19 Raw has delicious seafood and steak, I was pleasantly surprised by the vegetarian options as well. We had a few drinks prior to our arrival so the fact that we were seated at the bar seemed appropriate. I was able to sample a bunch of their cocktails and really enjoyed the espresso martini and pimms cup. GF ordered the watermelon margarita and paloma and enjoyed them both. GF is a seafood bitch and ordered a dozen oysters, a variety if you will. Her review: "very good. Fresh, salty, creamy." Even though I don't eat seafood or meat, they have a very impressive number of vegetarian sides I had my way with. I ordered the jalapeno creamed corn, smoked tomato grits, sriracha fries, and panko creamed spinach and nutmeg. This was WAY too much and we had to take at least half of it home but it provided for a second feast of the evening later. The jalapeno creamed corn was one of my favorites along with the sriracha fries which were frankly orgasmic. The creamed spinach was pretty good but nothing to write home about. I could have done without the smoked tomato grits, the "smoky" flavor was too much and overpowering. Yes I wanted to take the dessert, but in a box. It was chocolate cake and a large slice at that. Very chocolatey. Would have paired well with ice cream or whipped cream. Service was good and prompt. Would recommend.

Yelp
Indoor outdoor fun spot. The food is fresh and wide options. Chef is talented. Try it out. Great atmosphere. It is now available with both menus and seating is joined with the prime steak house.

Yelp
We walked in on a whim and need to have seafood! Wow! Best choice ever! Seated outside under and heat lamp was perfect for the four of us. The menu from top to bottom caught my eye and wanted to order everything. To start: espresso martini was made as it should with a foamy top and balance of sweetness and vodka. The Raw-Rita, also very good and refreshing. I would suggest family style/sharing to enjoy Chef Joe's creations. Also, would suggest ordering your cold foods first then followed by the hot foods next. Our waiter said to order everything at once as the kitchen 'likes it that way'. DON'T. It ALL came at the same time. Started with 3 types of oysters: Wellfleet then Honeysuckle then the Glidden Point (briny to sweet). Glidden was my favorite along with a touch of the kimchi. Eating the hot foods first as to enjoy them.... HOT. Charred Octopus - SOFT and charred to perfection. Chorizo was a nice added touch. Foie Gras - melts in your mouth with the pineapple compote was complimentary. Shrimp and Grits - jalepeno gave just enough kick along with the blueberry - Tequila vin brightened the taste. Rivals the southern taste I love. Roasted Yellow Beets- sweet and perfect compliment to above hot dishes! Next up, the cold dishes: Ménage a trois - a party in your mouth! Scallop Crudo - Asian inspired take on seafood in ponzu. Fresh, bright and MELT IN YOIR MOUTH! Tuna Poke- instead of traditional large chunks of tuna, it was smaller diced pieces of fish mixed in a creamy tahini-sesame along with the crunch of the malanga chips... perfect! Very rare to want to try the ENTIRE menu. Will have to come back for the other items at our next visit. Compliments to Chef Joe!

Yelp
We took a day trip to Martha's Vineyard and found 19 Raw in Edgartown. Our server, Jessica K, was fantastic. She suggested a mixed flight of the oysters allowing us to try one of each. The oysters were great. We shared a bowl of the yummy chowder. My lobster roll delicious and stuffed with lobster. My wife had the lobster taco which was more like a burrito and it was amazing. We enjoyed our entire experience at 19 Raw

Yelp
This restaurant is located in a beautiful house. It is a beautiful place. They serve about ten different types of raw oysters to choose from. We tried the three types from Martha's Vineyard and they were they absolutely scrumptious. We also really enjoyed the octopus too. There was also a large selection of wines and cocktails. I give the restaurant four stars instead of five because it seems like the rest of the meal was good but not great. I ordered the scallops with the crab fried rice. Both were too salty from the soy sauce. A friend of mine ordered the duck pot pie. He said it was good but the rich duck flavor was overwhelming. He couldn't finish it. My husband ordered the 16 ounce New York strip steak, a Caesar's salad and mashed potatoes. He enjoyed the steak very much. It was little overcooked for a medium steak and was more medium well. The Caesar's salad was fresh and the dressing was clearly house made. Finally our server went away for quite some time between courses. It appeared that a friend of the staff was eating there because several servers went over to the table to socialize for most of the time we were there. However when she was there, she was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable of the menu. I'd say that if it wasn't for those fantastic oysters and cooked octopus, this restaurant would get a much lower rating.

Yelp
19 Raw is a classy establishment. One of the best dinners I have ever experienced. The service was outstanding. The steak (filet and chateaubriand) was perfect and the sides, especially the dauphinoise potatoes and the carrots, were exceptional. Being picky, the negroni was a little watered down and the unavailability of espresso was disappointing but did not detract. I'd heartedly recommend 19 Raw and would revisit without hesitation.
google avatar

Yelp
Cowboy steak was over charred and under salted and overall not impressed and Not what I expect from a $300 ticket which is a shame because they've been so good in past years

Barrett L.

Yelp
19 Raw has been one of our go to spots on island since we discovered it at the start of last summer. Unfortunately our recent experience has us wondering if it was just Monday night inconsistency or something bigger. Hoping it was Monday and the A team had the night off. The oysters were great but the meal overall was mediocre at best. The brussel sprouts were more like soggy wilted spinach, and everything was very salty. Service started out attentive but quickly withered with the sprouts. Our server was displeased with his gratuity and told us as much, asking if the meal was not good. When we said that the meal was pretty disappointing he simply walked away. Mondays are tough, we will try again, hopefully not a downward spiral of one of our favorite island go tos.

Yelp
Dinner for six on the Sunday of the Labor Day weekend was a perfect holiday treat. Note that this seasonal restaurant does not take reservations and will sit you only when your entire group is present. We were fortunate to catch a table on the outside deck with a large umbrella. Our wait staff gave us water and waited for us to settle in. We ordered drinks and a couple of apps such as raw oysters and other delicious looking plates. Our evening was calm and not rushed. We ordered several sides to pass family style to go along with our entrees - everything went well. We ate well, we were treated respectfully and paid our bill.

Yelp
Terrible food, salt levels was too high. We had the charred octopus with porchetta and capers. The charred octopus was over cooked and chewy. The capers and porchetta escalated the salt levels. The tuna tartare was already salted, but they added tobiki, which was already salty.

Yelp
Great service and good food! We tried some seafood appetizers, a salad and steak. All were very good with generous portion sizes. All the cocktails were also great and we tried some of their menu offerings and some classic cocktails. The staff was very friendly, helpful and gave insightful recommendations on some of the menu items which did not disappoint. The interior ambience wasn't great, but outside was beautiful

Yelp
It appears to be a home converted into a quaint restaurant. I sat near the exit so unfortunately I didn't see much of the interior or main seating area. I arrived on a Saturday above the hour prior to the night crowd settling in and was seated immediately which is great at a place with no reservations. Lobster bolognese & scallop bowl: I'm happy that I selected the lobster bolognese since I visited 19 Raw for seafood and it was the most appealing seafood entree aside from the scallop bowl. I tried a little of both, and would say that the scallop bowl is probably one of the best items on the menu. It took me a while to order because in person nothing appealed to me. Considering that 19 Raw is named for its 19 raw oyster variations, you should try the oysters. I did not, but noticed later that it was the most popular dish. As someone new and visiting I would have appreciated more direction with the menu to determine what to order, but it seemed like a gathering place for locals.

Yelp
Not Worth the Money-Spent While the ambiance was excellent, the service and food could be better. After a tab of over $400 to leave an establishment with Luke warm steak is unforgivable. The service needs improvement. The main course came out before the appetizer. My $79 steak was not served as to the requested cook temperature and warm. The asparagus was overly salted. As stated on the website, as the brainchild of experts in the restaurant business through various experiences in the industry on the island, Do better in the product that's put out to your customers. When a customer is willing to pay for your food and service, the quality provided should be up to par. I hope your new restaurant in Vinyard Haven is better....

Yelp
We were expecting a little more based on all of the hype we heard. It was a good meal but not great especially for the price. Oysters were the best part of the meal. Snapper and steak were good but wish it had a little more flavor. We sat on the front patio which was an awesome vibe and had some good cocktails

Yelp
Was a great opportunity to finally check out 19 Raw in Edgartown, MA (Martha's Vineyard). The wait was well worth it! This cozy intimate restaurant has some of the best food and wide variety I've ever seen on the island! The server I had was very friendly and patient as well. Funny enough I got this recommendation from bad reviews of The Atlantic Chop House. Everyone seemed to recommend this place and now I know why. You get even better food and more options without stuffy or rude managers/employees. I'll be coming here for any nice dinners out on the island from now on! The Lobster Caviar slider was amazing and fully stuffed, the fois gras was so delicious that I ordered THREE ORDERS JUST FOR MYSELF... yes... THAT good. The lobster tail add on was delicious (highly recommend having with bernaise sauce). My only complaint was the truffle Gnocchi Side. I was just a bit disheartened cause it wasn't as flavorful as I had hopped considering the ingredients added are some of my favorites. Other than that I enjoyed every bite! Would definitely be back and would highly recommend!
