Great Asian fusion dining experience with the new summer menu. Our server Elijah was super friendly and made good recommendations on the food selection. The only thing that missing on the menu is the 🔥 spicy level indicator, we soon learned that and asked the server to help ask the chef to make it mild for us. The hot and sour seafystew was delicious with lots lots fresh seafood, the jasmine tea smoke duck. Leg was flavorful,the presentation was eye pleasing too, except the duck nail😊😊 The appetizers were like tapas,and we ordered the bamboo salad, avocado tofu, the bamboo was super yummy and we added a second order!

I was celebrating my friend's birthday and decided to choose this restaurant after reading the reviews. I called to make a reservation and it went smoothly. It was not so crowded for dinner on weekdays. The decoration was simple and industrial style, and the service staff were confident and calm. The Shishito numbling Tofu appetizer was a bit disappointing and not very delicious. It was all based on the sauce, which was very ordinary. The Scallop Ceviche surprised me and was very delicious. There were 6 small ones in total, which was not enough. The Dry-aged King Salmon Tartare was as lovely as always, and it was the right choice to order it. Although the portion was small and the price was a bit expensive. The Slow-cooked beef tongue was also smooth and delicious. I think the Salt and Pepper Beef Honeycomb Tripe was very ordinary and not worth the price. I wasted my money.

The best Chinese restaurant I ever had in America! 19 Town is an absolute gem in California's dining scene! The creativity and elegance infused into every dish are unparalleled. Of all the dishes we ordered, my favorite was the Cheese Mapo Tofu Tarts followed by the Sauced Crispy Shrimp and Matcha Ice Cream for dessert. Those three dishes were fantastic. The House Special Fried Chicken Wings were also hot, crispy and juicy, and Wok-tossed Lobster Tail was tender and flavorful. We came to celebrate our anniversary, but weren’t really made to feel special by any means like I have at other fine dining restaurants. The front of house staff and servers were nice and friendly, but they didn’t really make an effort to connect with them and the interactions were very short. They didn’t check in with us during our meal and just dropped off dishes without any explanation either, which is possible I’m just used to how restaurants operate in the city of LA. It could be that this is the style of customer service here, as it’s a very different environment. They didn’t seem understaffed for a Saturday night. This place has a lot of potential, but just wasn’t for me. It’s a great spot for food and drinks though especially in the city of industry area if you’re looking for a place to hang out, eat good food and sip on some bevies.

We just stopped for a quick bite during lunch, so we didn't get any mains. The restaurant description promised contemporary Chinese cuisine, but it actually had a lot of Japanese inspired dishes, like shrimp tempura and grilled octopus. I could only taste Chinese influence in the provided sauces. The Crispy Shrimp was absolutely perfect. The Octopus was decent, a bit harder than you'd like. We also tried Grilled vegetable mix and all the ingredients were cooked differently: the potato was well cooked through, but the pumpkin was practically raw. I'm a bit hesitant to come back, but I'd like to give it another try, maybe with the chef's menu. Interior and concept are definitely different from the rest of the neighborhood and provide a welcome respite.

My friend and I made reservations, and we were greeted with amazing hospitality upon arrival. The server came to greet us and answered our questions thoroughly. My favorite dish was the gnocchi with clams—fair warning, it was pretty spicy but flavorful. Drinks were bomb, decor was chic, and their playlist was fire. I appreciate a good ambiance when dining, and this place met my bar. I’d definitely come back to try the other dishes, it’s a perfect spot for date night or a night out with girlfriends.

Hello Everyone, I am visiting SoCal customer, and ask around if there is any recommend restaurant that delivery quality foods and service. it's the customer visit, so I am going to try to enjoy the meal probably no the customer's conversation. the place looks like a fine dinning area, so I made a courtesy calls to book the table ahead of time at 6:00PM. when my customer was late for the dinner for 15 minutes, I receive a courtesy phone call from the restaurant. I enjoy the customer service already. 5 stars while I was waiting for the customer to show up, I went to sit in, then soon realized it's type romantic restaurant for business meeting and couples. definitely not a family/children place, the entire room are set into the dark ambient that maybe children will get lost while navigating to the bathroom. I give a 5 stars for atmosphere. as for the foods, with a late new Chinese influence, I notice a major Szechuan cooking style are growing in popular, chief menu is definitely a french cooking style with Chinese ingredient. while I trying to figure out the foods type, the customer shows up late in style. how do I get her to order the foods I want to try? lucky, I discover the chief meal course that allows me to try many combination, so I decide to go for it. $68/per person. oh well, it's company meal for the main course, I picked wok toss lobster tail, and second course the waitress recommends a lobster bisque style with dumplings (I forgot the dish name already). I enjoy my foods with a bit of heat kicks, so I take the recommendations. when the meals are served, the presentation are nice with delicious color combination, and I can see the chief attemp east meets west style. waitress are very attending, and notifying our meal serving schedule that I found enjoyable. wok toss lobster deep fried lobster tail with Sichuan pepper coating that I was not expected, maybe the lobster taste is too plain that it needs to be seasoning well. shockingly, the 2nd high recommend dish "something something dumplings" is also Sichuan pepper bisque style that my tong did not get a chance to enjoy the food ingredient the chief prepared. Overall speaking, 19 town offers a romantic sit down, skilled cooking style, and great customers service. I will recommend anyone who take their customer to have pleasure business talk while the foods are not explosively large portion. yet, I enjoy the food transition between each dishes, if I knew every dishes I order are seasoning with Sichuan pepper, I will definitely choose a different set of 2nd course. however if you enjoy Sichuan pepper sensation like my customer, it's all day long menu. did I mention the special made ice cream got that the flaky Sichuan pepper sugar? :P Paul

Everything was delicious and servers were very attentive and professional. Top items were definitely the scallop ceviche and ox tail stew! Extremely fresh and the stew was super beefy and filling. Duck breast with vegetables are also a solid choice for a smoky taste and visual aesthetic. Don't recommend the duck leg as it wasn't too big with portion and a little tough. Overall great experience and food with a nice interior upscale vibe.

A high-end restaurant in the 626?! Ok, you caught my curiosity. We needed to find a suitable place to take our fancy overseas visitor to dinner, when we stumbled across 19 Town. The $$$$ is a bit exaggerated but I can see how some folks would categorize it as such (depending on your selection). We had a grand old time at the big table in the restaurant's corner table. Our wait staff brought out the menu, our food & beverage expert ordered all the best items (see photos with captions), along with some delicious drink concoctions (Woodland = Mezcal base, Jade Dragon = Chinese Baiju base, and the Weirdo = Sichuan Baiju base) and wow were we pleasantly surprised! All of the food we ordered was delicious but the top 2 standouts for me were: 1. Flaming pork jowl ($28 at the time of this review): Fresno pepper, peanut butter, Everclear 120 Moonshine. Nice tableside display and the food is piping hot and the meat was tender 2. Slow-cooked beef ribs ($88 at the time of this review): beef ribs, grilled pineapple, and Fresno peppers. The presentation and arrangement was excellent, and the flavor made the bites all the more delectable. tl;dr - great food, great service, chill ambiance. Definitely worth a try!

Honestly, I think the place have pretty good food. It's nice to have a bar ish type restaurant but at the same time it just somehow doesn't fit in the RH area. The real issue probably has to be the super expensive price tag. As far as I know, they have some set meals now? but from the two times that I've came since they opened, they seriously have a hefty price tag hence the 3 stars. I think their food and drinks are both pretty good. I really like the Sichuan margarita. It just works... As for food, I had a few things. From the pork jowl, oxtail, all their small cold dishes(which I thought were all pretty good), tartare. Overall, I honestly like the taste of the food but besides their expensive price tags, their portions are rather small too. I said this on the first time I came here, I don't see them surviving in RH(I mean they have survived so good for them). Service is decent and ambiance is ok.

Looking for a special restaurant to impress or celebrate an occasion or event ? Try this place! Cool vibe and minimalist decor once you enter this Asian fusion establishment. We were invited here by a couple who enjoy dining out. We decided to get the prix fix menu. Also, got some appetizers to start our meal. (See pics on this review .) You start off with a pineapple soda drink which was so delicious and refreshing. Salad was served next which probably was the best I've had. ( I could have had a larger portion for a meal option.) All kinds of goodies thrown into the salad which was a delight. Our appetizer of chicken wings was good as well. The chef makes the food look very appealing with the presentation. The meal was a culinary surprise . * Bring a bottle of wine and see their unusual decanter! (pretty cool) Note, there is a corkage fee of $30.

Very inventive and flavorful Asian fusion offerings in a modern industrial zen setting with table service fitting of the price tag (for 2 tasting menus, 3 drinks and 2 appetizers, our bill came out to almost $300 with tip). There's a hint of spiciness to most bestsellers so if you're into spicy, you're in for a treat--do order the szichuan margarita before anything else--thank me later. We got the tasting menu and the stars for me would be the third course (beef ribs and the lobster)... both were outstanding in a wowza sorta way if you catch my drift. The steak tartare was underwhelming but the pork jowl was pretty good. Having said all of this, would I return? Maybe, maybe not. I thoroughly enjoyed tonight though I might be satisfied with it being a one time visit. Ask me again later when my period is over.

Service is sooooo slow even with the restaurant barely half full..... Food is creative but not well balanced. Ambience is good though.

It's so nice that you can order the chef special and split it with people so I did just that. The salad was alright and the jiaoma steak tartare was forgettable. However, the flaming pork jowl is not just for the exuberant presentation. It was so tender with crispy skin and truly the best I ever had that I only want to eat it served this way now. I also can't forget about how incredible the wok-tossed lobster tail was with the spices sneaking into each crevice of the crispy lobster. I can't believe I'm saying this but the vegetables were honestly a star of the show too for this dish. I also added on the slow-cooked oxtail and it was such a comforting, warm hug every time I took a bite because the oxtail was so tender. We ordered a few additional items like the dry-aged king salmon tartare which was good but not something I'd get again. The sauced crispy shrimp, however, was a much better option since the batter was crispy and the sauce had a nice kick. I saw a lot of reviews saying the grilled dry-aged duck was delicious, and it was, but it wasn't my favorite dish of the night despite how well it was executed. And lastly, the house-made pineapple soda was refreshing and I loved that it came with a thin pineapple spear. Even more, I loved ending the meal on a sweet note with the matcha ice cream. I had my doubts at first as a self-proclaimed matcha connoisseur, but it lived up to my expectations with its decadent rich flavor.

Service was excellent. And ambiance is very modern and spaced out so well. I like that you can order their tasting menu separately. You don't have to order a tasting menu per person at the table. Gives the chance to try other dishes. So my friend and I ordered one tasting menu and several other items à la carte. Tasting menu Pineapple salad - this was so good and refreshing! Salad - cute little side salad, nothing special Steak tartare - tasty dish Flaming pork jowl - presentation was awesome. Came out with flaming fire. And the pork was so fatty and yummy Wok tossed lobster tail - delicious! Cooked very well À la carte Shishito numbing tofu. My friend loves this but not for me Grilled octopus - it was tender, this was good Slow cooked beef tongue - too spicy for me and it was only okay Dry aged duck - best dish of the night other than the pork jowl. Black sesame cheese tart - crust was good. If you like cheesecakes, this is for you Matcha ice cream - very good

Came here Friday evening at 6pm. We made a reservation but it was pretty empty. The servers were so attentive. Constantly refilling our waters and collecting empty plates. I got the ink cocktail which was tequila based with coconut milk and activated charcoal. It was so good. Tasted like a yogurt drink. Our only complaints are from the food. We choose to order off the menu instead of the pre-fix menu. The beef tartare we got was disappointing. It was bland and the meat looked dull in color. We saw another table get the beef tartare from the prefix menu and it looked bright and vibrant. The scallop ceviche was a highlight for me. Loved the flavors of the pickle with the scallop. The beef tongue fried rice was good but underwhelming because the beef tongue was diced so small that you couldn't tell it was beef tongue. I love the texture of beef tongue so it was disappointing that we couldnt fully enjoy it.

25 years ago, we were in this same location on a first date. Back then it was a Friscos, waitresses on roller skates serving burgers and shakes. This is no longer the case. Don't let the fact that it's next to Home Depot fool you. This place is a must in sampling Asian cuisine. We selected the lunar new year chef tasting and every course was delicious. From the wok lobster tails, the seafood gnocchi to the beef tartare, we could not decide which was out favorite. There are many items on the regular menu along with well crafted drinks. Definitely returning to explore the menu.

Eaten here a couple times for work dinners and the food has always been pretty good. It's a sichuan fusion so some dishes can be a hit or a miss, at least for me. Dishes i enjoyed: -slow roasted beef ribs -gnocci (not mala spice, but a good spice kick i enjoyed it) -black sesame tart (so good!! good black sesame flavor) -yuzu cheesecake -fried shrimp -scallop ceviche notable: the wok toss crab and the lobster tails were pretty good as well, i just don't like working for my food xD but not a bad choice for seafood lovers! dishes i'd pass on: -mapo cheese dip; interesting mala flavor, fun to try once but personally didn't vibe with it. The bread doesn't come toasted Drinks: -the teas are good and the setup they bring it in is cute -plum juice was your typical 酸梅汤, a little more concentrated than usual -pineapple soda was nothing special but I preferred it over the plum I think it's a restaurant you go to for a special occasion to try once, but I personally wouldn't think to come back on my own ONLY because I'm not in love with sichuan cuisine/mala flavors.

Heard about 19 Town through Tiktok and saw they had some interesting cocktails so my friends and I decided to try them out one night! I cant say much for the food but their drinks were a hit! We ordered several drinks to share but our favorite was the foggy plum. It was slightly sweet and a bit sour - which made for a really nice balance. I honestly couldn't taste any alcohol in it but it was definitely hitting later haha. My personal favorite was The Weirdo. It tastes like an alcoholic green tea and is pretty strong but great to sip on. The bartender was super cool and made us some custom drinks. Definitely a cool place to grab some drinks and chat with friends!!

The ambience of 19 town is unmatched. Such a nice vibe. Outdoor seating with heaters or modern indoor seating. The service is great. The waiters were so nice. We went around Valentine's Day and they offered us a rose. The food was overall good. The clams were so delicious. Lots of flavor packed in there and easy to get them out of the shells. The scallop ceviche was just ok. I didn't love the presentation on the fake shells but that's personal preference. The cheese mapo tofu and bread was phenomenal and a must get if going here. Flaming pork was so cool. What other spot has anything like that? Lastly we chose to go with the sesame dessert which hit the spot. Liked19 town and would go again. It's a bit pricey, but the vibe is great.

One of the best dining experiences I've had! The exterior of the restaurant is unassuming but once you step inside the restaurant you'll be greeted with a stylish and tasteful design. We ordered the shishito numbing tofu, slow cooked beef tongue, beef tartare, assorted pickles, flaming pork jowl, shiso calamari, beef tongue fried rice, and vanilla ice cream. Each dish had its own unique flavor profile and nothing tasted the same. My favourites were the tofu, beef tongue, and pork jowl. We were a little disappointed by how tiny the tofu was, but were surprised by the way the charred shishito peppers blended harmoniously with the avocado and the tofu, so good that we ordered a second one. The pork jowl was marinated with peanut butter which sounded questionable but weirdly worked very well together. Even though the ice cream was $9 it's one of the creamiest and milkiest vanilla ice creams I've had, and its flavor accentuated by the crispy broad beans and chilli crisps. This is definitely a restaurant worth visiting!

Ambiance: The restaurant has a modern minimalist interior design; indicating that this spot is trendy. From observations for Mother's Day dinner, this restaurant is popular among people of all ages. There were many families and young couples. The restaurant has round tables which are perfect for family style meals and cater towards Asian patrons. Service: The service was impeccable! The waitstaff are fluent in Mandarin and were able to describe the dishes to my mom in her native tongue. I ordered a chef's menu for 3 people and the food came out very quickly. Price: The cost of the Chef's menu was $69, plus $10 for an optional 4th course. The price point is very fair given the quality and quantity of the food. Food: The food was delectable and the flavors marry beautifully to enhance the flavor of the dish. My favorite dishes from the menu were the Beef Tongue Fried Rice and Ox Tail Stew. The oxtail was incredibly tender and melted in my mouth with every bite. The dry aged fish and lobster tail were delicious but I think they were slightly overcooked so they had a slightly rubbery texture. The tea was very strong, which is a great indication that it is high quality tea. The container to hold the tea is smaller to really allow the hot water to absorb the flavor from the tea leaves. My brother and I loved the tea so much, we could not stop drinking it. Overall I had an amazing experience at 19town and will definitely be coming back again!

Of all the 5-star reviews I've written recently, 19 Town is perhaps the most deserving. This place is seriously legit! We came here on a Friday night around 8pm without reservations and sat at the bar towards the side of the restaurant. We were immediately impressed by the menu and drink offerings. The ambience was on point, as well. My night started off with a Sichuan Mezcal Margarita. My friend opted for the Weirdo cocktail, which was made with Ming River Sichuan Baijiu. We both agreed that these were two of the best cocktails we've ever had. Another highlight was ordering an off-menu Sichuan Peppercorn Infused Mezcal Paloma. Saying that I was blown away would be an understatement. If you're looking for a top notch dining experience near Rowland Heights, this figures to be one of the best out there. I'd actually argue that this may be one of the best places for drinks in the greater Los Angeles area. I'm not sure where else you can find handcrafted Chinese-inspired cocktails like this. Although we weren't hungry, we did end up splitting a dish, which was also delicious. Go ahead and give this place a try. I highly recommend it!

I think it's about time we had a trendy & upscale Chinese restaurant and bar in this neighborhood. We have visited this place a couple times. Each time we chose to sit at the outdoor bar. I really liked the casual and low key atmosphere. The menus were pretty big with good varieties. Cocktail menu was pretty impressive, wine list was decent. They carry a wide range of liquor to my surprise! Corkage is only $30 which is very reasonable! Hubby have tried a few Vesper martinis and they were very well made. I liked NA beverages like pineapple soda and plum juice. For food we have tried quite a few dishes. Seafood stew, egg yolk waffle fries and veggie bean curd wraps are my favorites. Hubby liked smoked duck leg and chicken wings. Beef tongue fried rice was comforting and flavorful. Numbing tofu was a very yummy and unique cold appetizer. The only dish fell short was the dry aged whole fish. It was bland and very dry, also a bit overpriced for what it is. I also enjoyed jasmine green tea with desserts very much. The service was top notch each time and everybody was very friendly and accommodating! I am just glad to have a nice Asian fusion restaurant nearby that we can visit all the time!

Modern Chinese fusion cuisine can mean a lot of things. The menu can be interesting and there's even some creative cocktails to boot...and if I don't have to drive into the city, that's a big bonus for me. Did the chef's tasting menu with a friend tonight, and was slightly concerned when we arrived for our 6PM reservation that we were the second party to come in for the evening. It was empty...as the evening wore on, there was a large party in one of the private rooms, and then a few other parties spread across the dining room. There was still plenty of space around us so it was, by no means, a packed house. For those familiar with the area, 19 Town occupies the former Frisco's Burgers restaurant and there are a few elements leftover...the glass brickwork is a constant Car Hop feature. EaterLA did a write up in February and I've seen a few folks visit during the time since. We decided on this place because of location and my curiosity to see if this is a place my parents would enjoy. Highlights: -Shisho calamari that wasn't very shisho but tasted really good -Wok-tossed lobster -Dry-aged fish -Beef tongue fried rice -Vanilla ice cream with chile granola Room for improvement: -Jiāomá steak tartare -Optional 4th course fired & delivered way too early I think I see what they are trying to do at 19 Town. They are definitely shooting for Michelin's attention. I just don't know how successful they're going to be when I see execution or conceptual items of concern. Chef was in charge of the kitchen this evening busting out and expo-ing dishes. This is also open later than most of the nicer restaurants in the area so I also think they want to be a place where folks linger and hangout while having a more upscale menu. My friend lives down the street so she'll likely hang out here more often, and it's close by enough where I'd come in for a drink and a snack. Would I take my parents here? Maybe to order off the menu, but not the tasting menu. They're pretty old school Chinese fans who wouldn't appreciate the dishes that skew more western/fusion. Service was nice and outside of the 4th course issue we felt taken care of and welcome. I'd note that they did forget to ask if we had any allergy issues they should be aware of and I do wish the dishes were presented a little better when the plates arrived. It would have been nice to know more about the components in the dishes. I do hope this can be sustainable because there are flashes of brilliance, and I'd be interested to see where it could go.

Decided to try 19 Town as part of Dine L.A. it is the first modern Chinese restaurant I have experienced in the SGV, so it reminded me nothing of what I grew up seeing or eating. It was a five-course meal with sample-sized portions of their main courses. The service level waa good, no complaints there. The atmosphere was cozy without the warmth you would typically get from floods of bright lights and loud noises that come with some Asian restaurants. I was skeptical of the pineapple juice soda at first because outside of some sodas, I am not a fan of carbonated drinks, but this was really good! Their fire belly was also good too. I had the ox tail and beef tartare as well, which were okay. Finishing off with their house ice cream, which was topped off with chilli flakes was perfect. Price was not too bad. It was a good experience. I would recommend to my family and friends.

Had a really lovely experience trying out 19 Town and their chef's menu! Our reservation coincided with their happy hour which is m-f 5-6 so bonus win! Portions were quite large for each course and we ended up being really full and took home leftovers. We really enjoyed the slow-cooked oxtail and wok-tossed lobster tail. The lobster tail was especially nice with the crispy mushrooms! Felt like a reasonably good deal and we enjoyed the creativity of the food! Would definitely return to try out their other dishes. Parking lot in front of the restaurant and reservations are able to be made in advance. Ambiance of the restaurant is incredible - the space is so nice! Perfect for a date! Staff was friendly and attentive!

must get: Mapo Tofu tart was really fantastic, lots of fun, reminiscent of an egg tart can skip: Gnocchi seafood stew, tasted like the hk style cafe borscht soups in combination to a tom yum soup. The gnocchi wasn't really great with the type of broth either. summary: Hidden gem! The location doesn't help them that they're next to a Home Depot, but the food is fantastic. There are a number of really unique flavor pairings. Service is really out of whack though. The course pacing is really awkward and not timed properly and dishes all came out in a jumbled coursing order. Drinks also came out later than appetizers. Staff probably need more training and education on each dish. When we asked them a question about the ingredients they kinda of just stared blankly back with no answer.

The spicy tomato seafood pot, while a bit too fiery for my personal taste, impressed with its abundant and genuine seafood ingredients, all offered at a reasonable price. 19town also provides an appealing lunch special, making this culinary experience both enjoyable and budget-friendly. The restaurant's staff further enhanced our visit with their professional and friendly service. I wholeheartedly recommend 19town to anyone seeking a memorable dining experience, and I eagerly anticipate exploring their dinner menu on my next visit.

Don't sleep on the Dine LA deal! Across the quality of food, service, and chill ambience paired with the right amount of lighting, the value of the Dine LA menu was definitely met. Courses we chose + Juices: I thought the plum juice was very unique. For those who eat old school Chinese snacks, the plum juice will definitely remind you of the sour plum snacks. I thought the pineapple soda was a little sweet for my own liking but definitely strong in terms of pineapple flavor. + Spinach ball with sesame paste: I was a little skeptical of my boyfriend ordering this but I actually liked this dish a lot. The spinach was covered in a creamy black sesame sauce that was easy to eat up with a strong sesame flavor. + Beef tartare: Met expectations and was nicely seasoned. + Shiso calamari: Slight kick but tolerable. Paired nicely with the bread and very tender. + Miso tofu cheese: Super cheesy! + Grilled pork ribs: They'll give you gloves to eat this properly. There wasn't as much meat as I hoped but I loved the sweet and savory sauce. + Beef rib with pineapple: Very tender and the chili flakes are on the side if you don't need too much spice in this. + Braised oxtail: Fall off the bone tender and very flavorful. Strong five spices flavor. + Creamy seafood stew: Decently large portion with the amount of seafood that included scallops, calamari, shrimp and mussels. Noodles were great and the stew was not too heavy. + Ice cream: Good way to end the meal. The matcha didn't stand out as much as I hoped. The vanilla choice actually had a stronger vanilla flavoring. Great deal and was pleasantly pleased with the portion. Ended up taking the oxtail home because we were so stuffed. Oh and I love they use Jo Malone all over! Get a good whiff of that stuff in the restrooms.

I can't stop thinking about this absolutely incredible 5-course meal for $79, you HAVE to experience it for yourself at 19 Town in City of Industry. This restaurant boasts such a chic interior, great for photos or just feeling like luxury, and here, you won't find orange chicken, chow mein, broccoli beef, you get the point. You'll only find THE most unique fusion dishes made from authentic Chinese recipes. Besides ordering a la carte, they also have a chef's menu which we opted for to try a little bit of everything. For five courses AND a dessert at $79, this is such a steal. Thanks for reading! ^-^

If I ever opened a restaurant, I want it to be EXACTLY like 19 town. This place should have some Michelin stars. Everything from the food to the interior, to the service, is top notch. I can't think of another restaurant in the SGV that can compare. (bistro Na comes close but I still like this place better) Food wise, I literally wanted to eat everything on their menu. It wasn't pages and pages like what you would get at most Chinese food restaurants in the SGV. It was apparent that the menu had been meticulously curated. We ended up ordering 7 dishes and every single one was a happy surprise. I particularly enjoyed the maps tofu cheese tart, the truffle corn, and the scallop ceviche. My husband loved the beef tongue fried rice and the flaming pork jowl was quite fun to watch and eat. When I thought back, nothing in terms of the ingredients were like rare or super fancy, but the innovative combinations of flavors, fun presentations, and superb techniques gave me a fresh take on Chinese food. Location wise, it's located in a classic SGV plaza, with lots of parking in the lot. To be honest, I was a but skeptical driving up to it. But once you walk up to it, you immediately forget that you're in City of Industry. The architectural details and materials are SO chic and modern. The planning accommodates lots of tables without feeling over crowded. There's also a nice little waiting area as well. Service wise, i can't see them doing much better. The waiters and waitresses are super polite. Although many of them are bilingual， they wait to see what you speak first before making the assumption that you just speak Chinese. They were very patient in explaining the menu and checks in at just the right time. We were there at a super busy time and they were all running around like headless chickens but they still manage to serve us well. I loved everything about this place and will definitely be coming back. Just hope it doesn't get a Michelin star too soon and have to up their prices drastically.

We made a reservation for Saturday night at 630pm. The restaurant is located in a shopping plaza with plenty of parking. We order seven dishes for five of us. We enjoyed every dish. The duck we had to wait for about 50 mins so order ahead. The beef is very tender and pork jowl is flavorful. Overall very good experience. It is a bit pricey so minus one star for it. I would recommend my friends.

This easily became one of my favorite restaurants. As someone who grew up in Asia, that's a pretty big statement! The interior is stunning, our waiter was so kind, and the food was so worth what we paid. Highlights: - Wok-fried Crab: I could write a whole review based off of this. We were given gloves and seafood clamp tools to work our way through this and it definitely got messy, in the best way. The crab was an insane portion--the shell was probably the size of my head, and each leg had large chunks of fresh white crab meat. The salted egg waffle fries were amazing as well, would definitely order this even separately (which they do have on the menu). - Flaming Pork Jowl: This was flamed tableside and it was perfectly chewy, savory (not sweet), and not too oily. The perfect texture and flavor. - Wok-fried Lobster Tails (Half): They may look like shrimps in the photo, but these are quite large! For $44, we were very happy with the half portion. The meat was perfectly chewy and bouncy, and perfectly seasoned. They fried mushrooms and red peppers underneath, and we ate every bit of that as well. - Black Sesame Cheese Tart: Not too creamy, but instead was more tangy and sour. This was a surprise, but it was really good. The inside was gooey but not overly flowing, so we didn't waste any bit. - Cocktails: These were beautiful! For such innovative cocktail designs, I would definitely want to come back to try more of their menu. The drinks weren't the most balanced, but still tasty. We also got the bamboo salad, tofu/vegetable spring rolls, and the beef tongue. I liked their warm dishes more as the flavors were brought out from the wok-frying and grilling. Would really like to revisit as their menu has so many good options that weren't even listed on their website. What a beautiful restaurant!

The food, service and ambience were great. Their lamb shank paella was the start of the night . We arrived as they opened, since we didn't have reservations, so it was bit quiet. The slow cook beef rib was so good, overall, the experience was a lot better than expected.

Modern fancy Asian ambiance- clean, beautiful, minimalistic interior decor! DELICIOUS food, on the pricier side but the smaller portions and cost are justified by the flavor and presentation of each dish. All-Asian staff were very friendly and welcoming. China and cutlery are fabulous. Service was excellent- food was quickly served, and they made sure our glasses of water were filled (much appreciate especially with our Sichuan Style Spicy Bullfrog order ) so so good. Great for dinner with friends, family, or a date. Would come back

Stumbled upon this spot during a late night sesh and was craving food at 11 PM, but also wanting something new other than fast food. The whole interior of the location was trying to aim for a Chinese fusion fine dining. To be honest, the location of the restaurant threw me off completely because it was smacked right in the same plaza as Home Depot. In my honest opinion, I don't think that was the best choice for this type of concept, but they definitely spent a lot of money with the core and the atmosphere that they were trying to bring inside the restaurant. I wasn't expecting too much, but a few of the dishes actually surprised me. My favorite was the assorted, pickled/sweet marinated appetizers. Kind of had a Taiwanese lunchbox vibe. Following was the seared/smoked pork belly in a pot that was supposed to be set ablaze but unfortunately there was no dramatic effect because I think they went really experience in the whole process, but I do give them credit because they were fairly new. I think we were literally there on the first or second day of opening. We also got the shrimp with some type of eggplant sauce. The eggplant sauce wasn't the prettiest, but it was pretty delicious. I think they're only open for dinner. So, do I recommend this spot? I think this is a pretty interesting place to check out for the first time but for me I don't think I'll be coming back a second round just because we basically tried everything on the menu.

I can't relate to the glowing reviews because this restaurant was very average. 1. Ambiance and atmosphere: The establishment has a very minimalist aesthetic, but somehow, the music, the "vibes" from the patrons, and the interior decoration don't really blend well together. Also, there were a ton of dishes left on the table every time a table got up and left. I know for a fact this place isn't going to get any Michelin stars, strictly based on this. Maybe a bib gourmet if they really tried. So I disagree with other Yelper's speculation regarding Michelin stars. 2. Service: The service was fine. Friendly wait staff but nothing to rave home about. Average. 3. Quality of Food: My husband and I ordered the mussel gnocchi, peppered beef dish, the steak tartare, fried shrimp, and the pork jowl, topped with a sesame dessert dish for dessert. The only thing we both really liked was the fried shrimp dish, and everything else was forgettable. On the other hand, I loved the creativity of the cocktails. I would say I would return just for drinks and the fried shrimp dish, but I didn't see any bar seating. Would not dine here for dinner again.

When the chefs Menu is only $69, you just go try it and experience something new. But what's more surprising is the taste, quality and portion size of every dish! You would think that at this price point, the food would come out very minimal and the quality to be mediocre. Oh I was so impressed and loved every minute of my dinner at this restaurant! The Chinese inspired dishes had great flavors and the vibe here is 100% amazing. Very chic, modern and open with a patio area leading up to a full bar! Service is impeccable and everything seemed flawless. I highly recommend coming here for a big party or an intimate dinner date. They also offer lunch specials which I'll have to try next time!! The oxtail and beef tartare along with the pineapple soda was my favorite!

Tried the chefs course dinner for $69 (house made pineapple soda, jiaoma steak tartare, kurobata pork, wok lobster tail, filet mignon, and house made matcha ice cream and added an espresso martini) Food and drinks were delicious! The interior is very industrial with modern decor but I like that look. Service was great as well! My only advice for them is to pace the arrival of each dish a bit slower for the course (they kept bringing a new dish when we had just begun eating the previous dish).

We came here for valentine day yesterday did dinner. We also brought our 5 year old daughter with us to enjoy the meal together. We had the salmon tartare, pork jowl, beef rib, 1/2 lobster , fried chicken and the panna cotta. Everything was very tasty and I would recommend all the item. If we didn't bring my daughter we would've heave gotten the fried chicken. The friend chicken was good but nothing special. My wife had one of the mixed drinks and I had a beer. She said the mixed drink were good. Everything was delicious and service was decent. Only things I can recommend is that get rid of that weird door bell when people enter the front door. They should also change plates when they see your plates full with left over lobster shells or anything else.

I really wanted to give this place 4 stars because I thought our server was great, and the decor/ambiance was on point! But when I think about what food I liked there, there wasn't one dish that stood out to me. I felt that everything was just fine, but not amazing. And I felt like with this kind of presentation and price point, they were going for more. The bean curd appetizer was quite tough to chew. The mapo tofu cheese dish lacked flavor, but the cheese was really good on top. The beef rib was quite fatty. Some pieces that I got were just fat, and it lacked flavor. The pineapple sauce that it came with wasn't very good. The fish was not bad, but the skin wouldn't cut well. A little disappointed but wouldn't say it was bad. Just didn't meet my expectations.

Great Asian fusion dining experience with the new summer menu. Our server Elijah was super friendly and made good recommendations on the food selection. The only thing that missing on the menu is the spicy level indicator, we soon learned that and asked the server to help ask the chef to make it mild for us. The hot and sour seafystew was delicious with lots lots fresh seafood, the jasmine tea smoke duck. Leg was flavorful,the presentation was eye pleasing too, except the duck nail The appetizers were like tapas,and we ordered the bamboo salad, avocado tofu, the bamboo was super yummy and we added a second order!

4.5/5. . Food is expensive for a good reason but still a bit over I think. Love Gnocchi con le Conze! The sauce is just amazing. The Lamb Shank Paella is not too flavorful so it goes well with any other dishes I had. Love the waffle fries too. This place is pretty spacious and clean. The interior is kinda work/cafe vibe. The servers were really helpful.

My experience here was great. The location was not where I was expecting for such a nice restaurant. The interior was stunning and so inviting to come with friends. It was very modern. We did a chefs tasting menu, chicken wings, tofu tarts, pork jowl, hot and sour dumpling soup, corn, and three desserts. Prices are def high but worth it for the first time. The lobster tail was simply cooked to perfection, the chicken wings were soooo crispy , and the desserts were phenomenal. Service was attentive and sweet. It took about 2 hrs for the whole seating. But loved it!

Was unfortunately really really disappointed with my dining experience here, mainly due to the timing of the courses and the understaffed staff. Food: we had the tasting menu - I have to say, this was really great for the value and you get to try some of their signature dishes. The lobster tail was a highlight as it was actually cooked perfectly and not too chewy. The rest of the menu was just meh. I thought the food tried to be something unique but fell short in terms of flavor combinations. Ambiance: decor and vibe was on point. It was chic diner vibes as the booth seats were stainless steel and dining room had a lovely emerald, gold, black, and concrete accents. Service: where it fell flat the most. Our server was really kind and lovely, just super busy and barely had time to catch her breath let alone talk to us. The kitchen was severely backed up. We were served the first course fairly quickly then waited 15 min for the second. Third course came 25-30min later and only one of them came. Then both our fourth courses came at the same time 5 min later, then our second third course finally came 5 min later. I was fairly upset as my fourth course sat at our table getting soggy and cold as we scarfed down our third courses. I spoke to my server about my concerns and she explained that this happens every weekend (we visited on Saturday) because they take reservations all at once. We came for my birthday dinner and were left highly disappointed. I will not recommend coming unless they seriously rethink their kitchen timing and even menu.

Came here with my family, we arrived a bit early since parents usually don't like to eat too late Really awesome how they turned this place into a high end feeling restaurant. I remember growing up seeing this spot as an all American roller skate burger and fries place. The interior and ambiance is quite a change and I really like the interior design The staff that helped my table was a very nice lady, outgoing and funny is how I remembered her (it's been over a month so unfortunately I do not remember her name) The food was great, mostly seafood, we started off with some appetizers that were easy to share, the tartare one being probably the hardest to share since there are only a few chips and the tartare itself is a bit small, should probably order 2 orders of that dish Main foods came and all were good, the fish, the crab and the steak were all delicious and my family really enjoyed it I'd definitely come back with some friends next time and check out the cocktails/drinks :)

I somehow needed up here twice in two weeks; once for Dine LA and once for a regular meal. Since I'm limited on pics, I decided to go with our favourite dish both nights, the crab. Between the two visits, I was able to eat the whole menu and overall we were pleasantly surprised. Just an fyi, we assumed we wouldn't be back, so we decided to add the crab to our Dine LA menu. And then loved it so much, we contemplated returning just for the crab. The second visit was a surprise when we received an invite to dinner and then the address was here. Service was very nice and the inside is lovely; so much so quite a few Chinese girls were taking pics all over the restaurant. Food wise, crab was our favourite and we enjoyed most of the items. If you're an eggplant/baba ganoush fan, the eggplant purée under the calamari is fantastic. We also really liked the pork jowl and the sauce for the shrimp. Things we didn't really love were the beef rib and the mapo tofu. The former was a weird mix of sweet, oily, and smoky. Slightly better with the chilli powder, but we weren't fans. The latter I found to be a bit bland; the cheese kind of overwhelmed the tofu. Desserts were average, so maybe head elsewhere for that.

I was so excited that my side of the town got a 'DTLA' type of restaurants I couldn't wait to get a reservation. After all driving to LA can be so hectic and time consuming. But after reading a few bad reviews I'm a little hesitant...DON'T LET THAT STOP YOU FROM EATING HERE! I was so glad I went! I booked a 9:30 'dinner reservation and went with 2 friends. Restaurant was rather empty at that time (of course). I do appreciate the restaurant open so late, The music ended up being super loud though granted I think because of the open concept of the restaurant, the music was meant to drown out the chitchat noise, but since the restaurant was kinda empty, I was like I'm too old for this! Haha The server was nice and quick. The table side service was great too. Corkage fee was $30. Note that they have the best espresso martini I've ever tried in my life! Food was allll so delicious! I loved the cheese mapo dip but wish it was one of those rice bun type of thing instead of toast. 100% order the flaming pork jowl. The oxtail rice was all so delicious too. Lamp paella was great as well! I rarely eat lamp and this was top notch without weird lamp taste haha Over all I would definitely come back to try other dishes or if they add new menu. 4 stars because I'm not sure the price matches the food, but I get what they're doing.

My experience at 19 Town was really great. I was impressed by how well the food really embodied the sichuan fusion idea. All the seafood was really fresh and perfectly spiced! The meat was so tender and flavorful as well. I was also very impressed by the presentation of each dish! All were very well plated and the attentional to detail was great. I really loved the Asian inspired desserts as well; both the yuzu cheesecake and black sesame tart were very delicious and of course, just the right amount of sweetness. The tea was also so fragrant and I enjoyed being able to pour my own tea into a cute cup! The atmosphere is very relaxing and the restaurant has a very sleek, modern feel to it. The service was very attentive as well.

What an amazing experience! I visited for dineLA, and was blown away by the food (for $65 for 4 dishes and a drink, it was a really good deal). 19 Town brings LA talent to the 626, elevating Chinese cuisine in a way that's inventive, delicious, and fun. With its stunning interior and attentive service, 19 Town's dining experience is pleasant in many aspects. There is quite a bit of Szechuan inspiration in their fine dining, with many of their dishes featuring flavorful (and numbing) peppercorns. I'm not a fan of spicy food, but I enjoyed every dish I tried-- my favorite being their hot and sour wonton soup. This dish had freshness, acidity, uber-silky wontons, and a variety of spiciness (very spicy, but in a lot of different ways). The -- shrimp also showcased this. The milder dishes I tried were also good-- sweet and earthy-- but I found the spicier dishes to be delightful and addicting. The technique and craft employed in 19 Town's dishes are impressive. Although its price range may appeal to a wealthier clientele, 19 Town is definitely worth the trip (especially during those special occasions)! So excited to see 19 Town become a RH standout.

A new upscale Chinese restaurant which is a surprising find in the Home Depot parking lot. It took the place of an old diner that went out of business over the pandemic. From the current reviews, some people seem to complain about the price, forgetting that the portions are huge. Drinks are strong and 2x the volume of LA fine dining restaurants. Shareables are basically entree-sized, and if you order an entree then you need at least 3-4 people to be able to sample a variety of dishes. For $95 after tax and tip, I had two drinks and several shareables without dessert. It was probably around $75 for my friend who only had 1 drink. INTERIOR The outside of the building looks promising with its minimalist design. Inside is also classy, mostly black and white and gray with glass accents. Both indoor and outdoor patio seating is available, and there seemed to be a lounge situation near the restrooms. The restrooms were just okay; they matched the vibe of the place, but not the opulence. SERVICE Reservations were easy using Tock. I called the restaurant and was told that the $10 per person deposit counts towards your final bill. The Tock platform charged $1 for their server maintenance fees. However, my card was charged $21 and then refunded the entire amount. We had no issues with service when we came at 6:15pm on a Saturday. It was relatively empty, but the dining room started filling up within the next hour. Our hostess was observant and proactive; our server Liz was energetic and funny. Everyone in front of house was Asian and at least bilingual. The representation! Drinks were the first thing to order and to come out. Overall, service was good but slightly less attentive with plate clearing and general check-ins to see if we need anything. DRINKS ORDERED - Foggy plum grove ($22 - vodka, plum wine, plum juice, lemon, hawthorn, smoke). The best drink we tried, in my opinion. I could taste all the components. The drink had a syrupy consistency. It was salty, sour, slightly sweet, slightly smoky, and slightly herbal from the dried Hawthorne. - Ink ($19 - tequila, lime, coconut, charcoal). The drink was gorgeous and looked like marble. When stirred, it became an opaque gray color. Though it was good, it was unbalanced. The lime overtook the coconut milk, so it was more tart than sweet and creamy. - Gin & Tonic Highball ($16 - gin, herbs, lime). Again, it was too forward with the lime, as you couldn't taste the gin. But it was very strong without tasting like alcohol, so the bartender knows what they're doing! The fizzy tonic was a pleasant touch. SHAREABLES ORDERED - Scallop Ceviche ($19 - 6 pcs). Just okay, though I am biased because I don't prefer ceviches. The texture of the scallop was tender and had a minimal fishy scent. Those who like ceviche will say it's bomb. Those who are just okay with ceviche will say it's good, but one-note in flavor (lime/acid). I ate the shallot, shaved gherkin, and microgreen separately, but the taste was mostly sour. - Cheese Mapo Tofu ($19). Really good and a successful fusion dish. The roasted Sichuan peppercorn flavor came through. While the sauce was a tad salty after bubbling away in the hot vessel, it's not an issue once paired with the soft baguette. You can also ask for a refill once you run out of bread. The silken tofu broke into fine little pieces, which actually provided a nice texture. The only thing that would make this better would be more cheese, perhaps layered closer to the bottom, so that you get a more balanced distribution of ingredients. But I am a cheese fiend. - Flaming Pork Jowl ($38). Amazing! Admittedly, I couldn't taste the peanut butter at all, and the alcohol/flames don't go on the pork - I think it just keeps the rocks warm. The pork itself was a little sweet, a little savory, not too fatty, tender, and sliced thin. The skin was finely scored and super crispy, a great texture!
