"Hidden behind an unassuming façade, you'll find this smart modern bistro with a team that’s eager to please and food that offers fabulous value for money. The concise menu makes sure the kitchen doesn’t overstretch but instead packs heaps of flavour into every unfussy dish, be it herring toast or fried skrei cod. Desserts are a highlight, with the kitchen’s creative streak coming through in the likes of milled cornflake ice cream." - Michelin Inspector

We had an excellent dinner here. The rainbow trout and steak were both outstanding, the mashed potatoes were delicious, and both desserts were great as well. The wine and beer selection was excellent too. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful. We'd love to come back again!

I liked this place. Food was good, but maybe I expected a bit more :) Staff was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately there were a lot of unavailable options.

Our best restaurant during our Polish tour. Service with a smile is possible! Food was really good and the cocktails too. Wat started as a quiet Monday evening turned out to be very busy indeed They handled it well and quality did not suffer. All the little details, also on the interior contributed to a splendid evening. Thanks for your Smiles!

A solid 3,5. Food was good but, more aspiring than accomplished. Tartar was superb as well as the truffle mash that came with the lamb. The “risotto” was creative but not super inspiring. Chanterelle soup was good but short of delusions. Plate presentation could have been better. Service, though, was really good.

Probably the best restaurant in Sopot right now. Feels cosmopolitan – you can get an Espresso Martini, great appetizers, fantastic bread, and the service is friendly and professional in both Polish and English. We had sturgeon, a tomato starter, and beef tartare with Polish cheese. The bread under the tartare was too big, but the flavors were good. They also have Polish wine. Just a few tables inside, so you need to reserve. And yes, it’s definitely pricey. The only real letdown: desserts. Way too many ingredients, trying too hard – nothing really worked. Sometimes less is more. Still, a solid four stars. It’s the one truly contemporary spot in Sopot right now. I’ll be back.

We came here by Michelin bib gourmand recommendation, but I'm really sorry to say the experience fell way flat of our expectations. The food was good (especially the duck and the potato pancake with the delicious cheese sauce), but unfortunately we just didn't feel too welcome. It wasn't quite clear what to order and what the pacing would be (we were asked separately and decided with just getting everything at the same time). Our wine arrived only shortly after we'd finished one of the starters. The aperitifs were nice though, so props to the bar staff! There are other restaurants in the tri-city area with the same recognition that punch way above this grade, unfortunately.

Our first visit in 2024 was amazing but sadly this year’s visit didn’t live up to that at all. My girlfriend my daughter and I ordered the steak tartare, bread with browned butter, beef tenderloin, risotto trout, the mashed potatoes with truffle and the cucumber. We got the first two dishes. The homemade bread was fantastic but I honestly don’t understand why you’d place a good tartare on a three centimeter thick piece of bread that soaks up most of the flavor and turns everything soggy and wet While we were waiting for the rest of the food our drinks ran out and we tried to get the waiter’s attention but had no luck. 55 minutes later our last three dishes finally arrived. They also forgot the wine I had ordered. Worth noting there were only three booked tables in total. The chanterelle risotto was undercooked. When I pointed it out they said it’s supposed to be al dente. But when the rice sticks to your teeth like glue and crunches as you chew it’s just not cooked properly We were happy with the beef tenderloin. The trout unfortunately wasn’t good. It was swimming in a salty lobster sauce that completely overpowered the flavor of what could have been a really nice fish. Please don’t order the mashed potatoes with “truffle” because it was honestly just bland and completely lacked flavor.

Yelp
This is the best restaurant we have experienced in our European travels. The details on presentation and preparation is outstanding. The bread and butter served is done in-house. Food is outstanding as well as service. My wife is an outstanding cook and was raving about everything at 1911.
