"A vibrant new takeout place called 2207 that sells, among other delicacies, Korean-inflected kalbi banh mi. The restaurant is the first for its young Korean-American chef, Daniel. The menu features items such as a whole fried chicken leg, an enormous burger made with Flannery beef, and seasonal specials like grilled branzino in classic French sauce vierge." - Luke Tsai

Google
Takeout only, order ahead online because it takes 30-40 minutes. Although it's a takeout place, the food here competes on quality and flavor, not on size for money or expediency. Pretty expensive, but the flavor is unique, delicate and well-balanced. The woman at the front was very nice as well, offered me hand sanitizer and free water without my asking.

So glad to find out they reopened after being closed a while during the pandemic. Currently you have to pre-order a day in advance for pickup so it takes a little planning but so worth it. Their fried chicken is so crispy. I ordered it with waffle fries and they say they only fire up the fries just before your pickup time so that they're fresh. When I went to pick up my order, they let me know it would just be a few minutes because the fries were finishing and when he came out with my order, he said he accidentally made the salad but included both the fries and salad and threw in a vanilla pudding. Everything was so delicious. Even the bonus pudding had flecks of vanilla bean and tasted so much better than the instant stuff. The chicken and fries were enough for 2 meals.

I had no idea this place exists and have passed it a hundred times. Strictly take out, this is delicious korean food- I bought a market grain harissa chicken salad that was so uniquely assembled. Beautiful fresh fruits and vegetables combined in a large serving. I am definitely going to be back to try some of the sandwiches and the fries.

Google
So I’ve been coming to 2207 for over a year. My man discovered this gem . Every single order has been perfect , they literally have no bad meals. My respect to the Chefs for creating such tasty top quality food. It’s worth every single penny spent. Last night we ordered their moco loco and KURABUTA PORK AND TRUFFLE OIL DUMPLING SOUP!! The soup was everything I have ever dreamed of. It’s soo good that I’m getting another order of it today. The patty in the loco moco with the slaw oh my gosh. Delish !!! Explore new items on their menu you will not be disappointed. Oh and customer service is A1 If I could rate them all 10 stars I would.

Google
The kalbi beef sandwich I got was really delicious and I enjoyed it a lot. I missed my Amtrak due to BART delay and wanted to kill time till the next train. Richmond Station doesn’t have many restaurants or cafes in a walking distance, so I was glad I found this place. Walking to the store, ordering food, waiting for the food (it takes longer you might think because food is made fresh to order), and walking back to the station would take 35-45 minutes. Notice no coffee is offered.

Food is very delicious, beautiful, high end ingredients and kind workers. 10/10 underrated spot

Google
First time coming here. I ordered the short ribs. Food was delicious, amazing service, and very surprised I hadn’t heard about this place sooner. Definitely will be back. Too bad they’re not open for dinner.

Google
Lovely little place. IMMACULATE. AWESOME service from the Mom, while the son does the cooking. On suggestion from a co-worker, I had the rice plate w/short rib. 🔥 🔥 🔥 and that salad. Crisp and refreshing! This was the first of many visits to come. Only 4 stars due to lack of seating.

Yelp
Fantastic hole in the wall gem!!!! Uncluttered sleek minimalist interior although not warm & inviting but books, a long table & bench w/plants for decor. Efficient service thru front interior window either: order by phone, online scan available. The outside doesn't look like a restaurant, only the address 2207 is visible so you could miss this hidden treasure if not paying attention ! The menu did not show any vegan selections but I was able to speak w/ Daniel, the chef & he assured me he could make up an impromptu vegan dish not on the menu & modify the grain salad for me - how accommodating !!! It was ready for pickup @ my requested time & packaged up in a brown bag w/handles! I had to open up my cardboard containers to see what he made for me - very impressive presentation for a boxed salad: mixed gourmet greens w/ arugula, grapes, persimmon & apple & pear slices, avocado, fluffy quinoa, radicchio, pomegranate, romaine, cucumber, Shaved radish & carrot & slices of Yukon gold potato, sunflower seeds ! The impromptu vegan dish contained roasted broccolini, large white beans, arugula, tiny brown beech mushrooms resting on a piece of sourdough w/crunchy housemade croutons & olives, shaved carrots & radish & a tasty vinaigrette dressing containing whole olives!! A feast for the eyes & the tummy ! I loved the different textures, colors & variety of veggies ! One of the best "takeout salads" I ever ate ! WOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Daniel has skills My friend got the Kalbi on a robust Acme bun w/ arugula, peppers & sauce ? She was seriously coming back to order something for dinner, although she only finished 1/2 her sammie

Yelp
I love ordering for delivery cause it gives you an opportunity to try different foods in a pinch from far away if you're willing to pay a little extra. I wanted some soup and I wasn't close by home so I tried this place today and ordered the Buta pork and truffle dumplings soup! Delicious!!!! it came with a good amount of dumplings that were huge and the flavor was to die for! The soup had a unique flavor of truffle with chopped bok choy and arrived piping hot! It was a big pricey with delivery at a cost of $31 and some change but worth it not to have to go out and get it as I have a deadline today dis work! Most definitely have to try the other dishes there!

Yelp
I guess I didn't read the online reviews carefully, because I didn't realize this place was takeout only. My husband and I came on a Friday. Ordering system was easy to navigate, but took a while to wait since we didn't know it was online ordering only. Food was delicious. Service was great. The lady working there saw that we were eating inside (probably very rare for them?) and she gave us free water bottles. I enjoyed both items we ordered, the Harissa chicken and the pork belly sandwich. I cannot wait to come again and try more items! Street parking wasn't hard to find. But the area was a little worrisome. I would've never expected to find a bougie restaurant like this within a block of a motel 6, a mortuary, and a Mexican grocery store. And from the outside you can barely tell that it's a restaurant. I really wish they had chairs for sit down meal. Here's the link for ordering ahead: https://twenty2zero7.square.site/?location=11eb70099aab40c6889eac1f6bbbd01e&customer_seat_id=11ed352c3d5c1e0c88060a58f67b29f8#64

Yelp
The fried chicken is the only thing I've ever gotten and it hits every time. First time I had this place was pre-covid and I was so scared they would never come back after covid. They did and it continues to hit every single time. Also the lovely older woman who always helps me is so sweet and lovely. And I wish my home was decorated like the interior. The lights, the plants. It's amazing. Wish I still worked around there to go more frequently.

Yelp
Obaasan is cooking up some of the best fusion I've had. This fried chicken sandwich is delicious - juicy, crispy and with a hint of spice in the sauce they give you. I could eat this over and over and over if my waistline allowed me. Waffle fries - a classic and you cannot go wrong. Salad - I felt that you did not need too much dressing with all the natural dressing from the fruits. It was light, refreshing and not too sweet (a good thing) The scallops were yummy and cooked well; I did enjoy eating the beans and veggies with it as well. But there were about 4 scallops for $25, which I feel is to steep to justify it. I'm definitely coming back to get more sandwiches and salads from this spot.

Yelp
Incredible take-out only eatery offering inventive, well-crafted dishes in a sketchy neighborhood (watch your step on the sidewalk is all I'll say). You order in advance, either on their Square site, by calling them, or else scanning the barcode when you arrive, which just takes you to their Square site. We were excited to finally have a day off that aligns with 2207's limited hours, so we slightly over-ordered: Kurabuta pork and truffle oil dumpling soup, karubi-don (short rib rice bowl), fried chicken sandwich, and Gaufrette fries (waffle fries). First, the soup is STUNNING. The broth was light but had a wonderful depth thanks to the smoked bacon and lemon zest, and adding a touch of the included black vinegar only bumped that up. It had about 5 large, juicy pork dumplings that were beautifully wrapped and packed with flavor. The soup alone gets this place five stars. Our entrees were also delicious. The karubi-don was tasty, with tender and well-sauced grilled beef. The chicken sandwich was ok, although it was outshone by the soup and the rice bowl. The included fines herbes ranch was great with the Gaufrette fries. I'll definitely be craving the dumpling soup and the short rib rice bowl, and can't wait to go back!

Yelp
The restaurant is not difficult to find. Street parking is very limited . Once inside, no tables for dine-inn . Seems to be mainly for takeout . The menu is located on the wall, could be difficult to read because of the layout of the words. Also have a QR code for full menu. Service was good:) the food was delicious . I really appreciate the transparency of all the ingredients for every items . The chicken sandwich was not greasy and the salad was fresh and full of flavor!!

Yelp
Wow - a real cut above the average. Great food! Beautiful presentation. Is that 85 characters yet?

Yelp
Thx to Yelp I discovered this hidden gem. Food was amazing, only thing missing is a dessert menu. Ordered four dishes to share with friends - pork and truffle oil dumpling soup, fried chicken with herb ranch, grilled albacore tuna salad, and harissa grilled chicken salad. Everything was made with fresh and quality ingredients. The flavors were layered and not basic. Excellent value too. Five stars but please add a dessert menu.

Caz C.

Yelp
Kurabuta pork and truffle oil dumpling soup easily served two as did the fried organic chicken breast sandwich on an Acme torpedo roll. Soup was complex and wonderful. Sandwich was hearty. The house-made pickles were just one more excellent thing about it. Will take pic next time. Big sandwich. Pick up times are accurate, if you arrive very early they have beautiful cookbooks to page through. Service is excellent. Once I found parking right in front. More often arrived at pickup time, order was ready, back in car in less than 5 minutes. Also, parking on west side of 23rd just north of Macdonald. There are fewer spots on east side of 23rd because of curb cutouts for the large McDonald's parking lot. (And if you see a hint there, OK.)

Yelp
In search of fresh, local biz, mom-and-pop, SEASONAL, farm-to-table WITHOUT the overly expensive and bougie attitude? 2207 is the holy grail. I was in the Richmond area and wanted to try some place new, and saw all 5 stars for this spot. Let me tell you. 2207 definitely earned all of their stars. IF ONLY there were better parking options. I ordered takeout, same day, for lunch pickup, online menu is super easy to maneuver. They seem to have dine-in option too, but honestly I'm not sure how people do that since street parking is rough out here, plus it's not entirely the safest neighborhood from what I could tell. Regardless, if you're doing takeout, you can call them, turn on your hazard lights, and tell them you're here for pickup so their sweet ahjumma can come running out with your order! I wanted something on the fresh and light, since I was heading to a brewery afterwards and their chicken salad caught my eye. Harissa grilled chicken, stonefruit, bing cherries, satsuma, avocado, sweet Brentwood corn (just to name a few items in the salad) I mean WHAT! All of that nutritious goodness, beautiful colors, and they name where they source their ingredients? Like sign me the eff up! The presentation did not disappoint, even when I opened my takeout box, I felt like I was opening up a Christmas gift. I thought I would have some salad left over, but ya girl demolished all of it. All of the flavors were so juicy, refreshing and textures melded so well together. I love the sesame soy lemon dressing that came with, thank you for the two--I kept the other one in my fridge so I could use it for future meals. I wish I could see what the interior looked like, but being from out of the area, I think parking was the main issue. Both the son and mom on the phone sounded so lovely and kind! Thank you for doing what y'all clearly do SO well, definitely down to support again...maybe dine in? The portions were huge, food so fresh, and service warm-hearted.

Yelp
We audibly gasped when we walked in and saw the sign that they only do preorders now, a day ahead! We haven't been here in a year and remembered how delicious their food was so we drove here on a whim. Luckily, I rang the little door bell hanging near the sign at the window and the owner came and greeted us. I asked with hope in my voice if they only take preorders. A smile spread through my face behind my mask when he responded that they have a few items left. We immediately chose the fried chicken and patty melt. We heard them place the chicken in the fryer by the glorious oil bubbling that gives me a Pavlovian response everytime. Good thing I had a mask to hide my drool. Less than 10 min later, a nice lady handed us the carefully packaged meals. We couldn't get home fast enough to enjoy our chicken with rice IYKYK. We took a bite/ bites in the car and both did a MMMYUMMMM for both the chicken and patty melt. The fried chicken comes with a side salad OR waffle fries. The batter is super crisp and the chicken is juicy. 2 large leg quarters for $14? A steal! The patty melt is on levain bread with pickles. No side salad, fyi. A bit pricey for just a sandwich, but I would get it again. The meat was super flavorful, moist and the grilled onions kept the whole thing juicy. A great place for amazing food. Order ahead or come at your own risk and play food roulette. You can't go wrong with either choice.

Kobe B.

Yelp
I plan to consume every meal on that menu. Service is great as well. Nice design to the shop.

Yelp
2207 is an absolute hidden gem. The food is exceptional--every dish feels like it's made with so much care and attention to detail. What set this place apart is the mother and son duo who runs it. She's so kind and always remembers me, greeting me warmly and wishing me a happy and good lunch every time I stop by. It's rare to find food this good paired with such heartfelt hospitality.

David Y.

Yelp
2207 is an incredible, anomalous thing. As another reviewer put it, if there could be such a thing as a One-Michelin-Star high-brow-low-brow Asian-American-fusion takeout-only place, this would be it. The care with which ingredients, preparation, and presentation are/is given is impeccable for every single time that I've been there (which is into the double-digits at this point). I still can't really wrap my head around why this level of culinary aspiration exists at the periphery of the infamous Iron Triangle (still in a not-particularly-great neighborhood) behind a non-descript storefront that doesn't even have signage that suggests it serves food! Protip #1: order through their Square site roughly 30 minutes before you hope to arrive, unless you need it even later, for which you can schedule an they will oblige. They just need the ~30 minute lead time. Protip #2: if you have to wait, peruse their collection of culinary coffee table books laying about, and you might even come across an issue of Lucky Peach. The David Chang influence is real.

Yelp
One of my favorite places to eat. Its take out only, made to order,(off there daily menu,) does not disappoint. The freshness is outstanding. The salads are top notch in fact all the food is. Myself and my coworkers love this mom and pop. It's the real deal for flavor, consistency, excellent presentation and A+ for environmental awareness in packaging. I love the Kalbe sandwich, the fried chicken sandwich is super filling. Best deal is the salad with chicken.. it's all good!

Carlyn C.

Yelp
Great find in Richmond! The chicken salad is bomb! Everything was so fresh and tasted like it was just prepped on demand. I couldn't stop eating! I don't know any other place that makes such an amazing salad! There were iceberg, arugula, sweet red and green grapes, nectarines, thinly shaved cucumbers, radish, fennel, orange and purple carrots, corn just off the cob, avocado, bejeweled grapefruit and feta cheese. Where else can you get such variety and value? I ate the rest of my salad 5 hours later and everything was still fresh. We also got the fried chicken w/ a side market salad. This salad was also nicely crafted with delicious components, just like the entree size salad! The chicken was crunchy, hot and a generous portion, not greasy at all. Hot sauce added some nice kick. Love to return and try the other dishes. The folks behind the counter are super nice. It's take out only and parking can be challenging, but this place is definitely worth trying.

Monica L.

Yelp
I'll keep it simple. The Kurobuta pork and truffle oil dumpling soup is the best thing I've eaten in North America in the last 2 years. It reminded me of eating in Taiwan or Japan -- impeccably executed, with a clear broth and bacon-kissed mushrooms, but homey in it's flavors. The wrapper of the wonton has a little bit of Q texture, and the filling is springy yet plush in it's fattiness. It kicks ass. No crumbs, no notes. We also ordered the side salad, karubi-don, and pork belly sandwich. All three were between very good to excellent. The pork belly was tender, well-seasoned, nice bitter bite to the greens and sweet-acidity to the pickled onions, along with little crispy bits (chicharrones?) A very well-balanced sandwich, maybe could use 5% less of the spicy mayonaise as it was slightly messy to eat. The side salad had a presentation that seemed both meticulous and homey; apple slices and grapes nestled against a chiffonade of radish and cucumbers, with an absolutely delicious sesame dressing. For me, the karubi-don was the least interesting; short-rib was tended and well cooked, the sauce tasted like a classic teriyaki sauce (although very well made). Perfect medium-short grain white rice, though. 4/4 dishes were good, one was exquisite. The ladies here know what they're doing and the quality of the ingredients shows. Prices are reasonable (dare I say low, particularly given where they source their meat). Will be back again and again.

Henry K.

Yelp
The food is amazing and super filling! The sandwiches are very unique with asian flavors and meats in sandwich form. It makes a great lunch just make sure you order online beforehand as that is the only option to order even when you go in person first.

Janet B.

Yelp
A bright spot in the food landscape. All dishes are constructed and executed well above their price point. Order ahead and don't show up early, but everything I've ever ordered from here has been noticeably great.

Jackie M.

Yelp
An amazing hidden gem in Richmond! I usually get the market grain salad with harissa grilled chicken, it's phenomenal every time, possibly the best salad of my life. The chicken is always perfectly succulent and all the ingredients are seasonal and fresh.

Mxxx P.

Yelp
Flavor explosion! Oppenheimer would be jealous! Now open for same-say service . . . .

Cecilia K.

Yelp
Love this hidden gem! My friends and I learned about it from some food article about Richmond restaurants a few years ago. We tried it and loved it but since I work in San Francisco and they're not open on weekends, I didn't have a chance to eat there often. They closed during the pandemic and my friend told me when she found out they were open but you now have to order at least a day in advance and schedule a pickup. The food is still excellent! The first time I did an online order, I went to pick up the next day and the chef told me it would just be another minute as my fries were just finishing. When he came out with my order, he told me he accidentally made the salad instead of fries but included both plus a pudding. Not only were the fries so crispy and hot, but the salad was delicious and made me think about ordering it in the future even though I usually get the fries. Their fried chicken is so crispy and delicious and you get a huge portion of 2 quarters. This last time I ordered the crispy pan fried noodles with steak and prawns. The noodles didn't stay super crispy by the time I got home, but the abundance of toppings and how tasty it was made up for it.

Yolanda P.

Yelp
The food was amazing. I got the short ribs and it came with salad and rice. I could eat the salad all day. The ingredients were fresh.

Dejeri L.

Yelp
I usually don't order salads from small restaurants because the lettuce isn't always the best, but this was exceptional! Every ingredient was so fresh. Very well made, creative & thought out. I admire the presentation and thoughtfulness that goes into these meals. I also LOVE the sesame soy lemon dressing!!! Omg, I would buy a whole bottle of it!!! The woman who took my order was very sweet & let me order at the last minute so I appreciate that. The place itself is small, so be prepared to take your food to go. It's so worth it! 10, 10, 10's! In a world where everyone takes the cheapest options, I appreciate nice, clean, high quality ingredients. My new fave! Gonna try everything on the menu because the salad & rice/chicken meal that I've tried have both been AMAZING!

Stacey H.

Yelp
The Kalbi sandwich is seriously incredible! It's the next day and I'm still thinking about it. The acme bread is fresh and soft to eat but hardy enough to hold up to the sandwich. The inside had decedent Korean beef which was lighted up with bright toppings of cucumber, apple, picked onion, and arugula. All put together the sandwich was filling but didn't weigh you down. 2207 is an unassuming shop in the middle of Richmond. Parking is a little tricky but you can find street parking. You order at the counter and they make the meal fresh to order. They have some benches to wait at and one communal standing table if you would like to eat there.

Amy E.

Yelp
Only the freshest ingredients. Such a delicious balance of sweet and savory flavors. A hidden gem.

Orell J.

Yelp
Really good food, kinda like a hidden gem, it's hard to miss this place but once you find it, it's super worth it, gourmet style meals and I think it's decently priced

Cari A.

Yelp
I was lucky to get free street parking right in front when arrived at about 1pm. The space is bigger than I thought it would be since I read that it was take out only. It looks like they have enough space to put in tables and chairs for people to dine in, but they only have some benches which people used while they waited for their order. It may be due to staffing? I think there was only one person making the food and one person who took people's order. I ordered their Kalbi sandwich and the chicken with fries. It took about 15-20 minutes to prepare and the wait was worth it because everything came out so fresh. Chicken was super hot, fries were nice and crispy, etc. My favorite was the kalbi sandwich. It even tasted good as left overs. Pros: -generous portions. The chicken pieces were huge -the kalbi sandwich was nice and tasty -accept credit cards Cons: -this place does not focus on dine in. It's more of a take out type of establishment -street parking can be tricky

Kim B.

Yelp
Had time between appearances and needed lunch. Got a recommendation from a colleague. Wanted a quick light lunch. The price was right $8.43 including tax. I am more than happy, thought I got a lot more than I expected. The meal included two chicken legs and thighs and a salad. The salad included sliced apples, mandarin, grapes and pomegranate seeds and ginger. The dressing had a kick. The coding on the chicken was crispy and the chicken was tender and succulent. You can stand at the single table and eat or sit on the benches. There is no table service. If I'm ever in the area and need to get lunch again, I will definitely be back.

Brent S.

Yelp
A hidden blessing in downtown Richmond, a block away from the McDonald's on MacDonald next to a hair studio. First thing you are struck by is the simple, pristine, interior which is a calming contrast to the hustle and bustle outside. ...But you stay for the food -- such painstakingly constructed takeout made with high quality ingredients: lobster rolls, short rib sandwiches, fried chicken, perfectly crispy fries. It's my Friday splurge for lunch and a great way to indulge my stress eating. Pro-tip: order on their website before going. Usually takes about 1/2 hour for food to be ready. I made that rookie mistake, but you don't have to!

Amy W.

Yelp
I read an article on eater SF here about this place - Best fried chicken in the East Bay : https://sf.eater.com/maps/best-fried-chicken-oakland-berkeley-east-bay 2207 is fairly new and as of 10.16.19 it only had 11 Yelp reviews. The article had come out the week prior. It is a non-descript place with ZERO seating - there is a communal stand up table, that stands maybe 8 or 9 people. The mom takes the orders and the son is the only one in the kitchen. We ordered the fried chicken (with waffle fries) and the short ribs (with salad). We waited for a while and they started turning people away who were ordering fried chicken...about 15 mins in they asked what I had ordered and I was hoping they were not gonna say they were outta chicken - but apparently I got the last piece!! - WOOT. The fried chicken was piping hot - the short ribs could have been hotter. The crispy on the chicken was outstanding - an all over coating that shattered. The fries were also very good and hot (I doubt these were frozen). The short ribs were also very good and the salad had apples and a nice dressing - I just wish the ribs and rice had been hotter - maybe that was done first and they waited on the chicken to serve both. People kept coming in and trying to order chicken and he kept turning them away. I asked if he knew about the article - he did not, I asked if chicken orders had been up in the last week - he said yes. I then pulled up the article on my phone to show him. I suggested he better increase his chicken order and brace for the coming weeks. Hours are difficult - only weekdays and only lunch. Looks like you can call ahead and order though.

Debbie R.

Yelp
Okay! He's back! Order ahead and pick up at the time you select. Don't know why this hasn't been updated yet. Crispy noodles with prawns and flank steak. Don't know how he got flank steak so tender. And prawns perfectly cooked. Fresh, Quality ingredients. Welcome back!

Christen L.

Yelp
The harissa chicken salad with stone fruit was delicious! Chicken was perfectly tender. All the ingredients were fresh. Generous portions. And the lemon soy dressing was the best dressing I've ever tasted. I also ordered the fried chicken which was nicely crispy and came with a tasty dipping sauce with chopped herbs. I'm definitely going back there to try the rest of the menu.

Lily V.

Yelp
Crispiest chicken ever!! Better than any fried chicken joint because it's fried to order and batter is crispy. Then the juices are flowing as you tear it apart. Also a very good deal. Super filling all for $7.90 plus tax. If I'm ever around this area it's definitely worth stopping by again.

Wendi T.

Yelp
Delicious food.i wanted to order last few days but close till 1/31. 用心做的食物,是最好的!支持! Korean BKalbi Shortribs

Shannon C.

Yelp
If I could give this place 3.5 stars I would based on service. The street this place is on is a little sketch but the inside of the restaurant is really nice with a modern vibe. No seats but you can stand at a table and eat which we didn't mind so much (this place might be better for pick up if this would bother you though). When I came in, I was not greeted right away. At first this didn't bother me but after 10mins of standing at the register and neither of the two employees acknowledging me I got a little put off. There were only two of them working so I understand they were probably busy but a simple "hello" would've sufficed. Anyway, by the time the lady took my order I was pretty hungry. I got the Korean short rib plate and so did my friend. It took about 15mins to prepare and cost about $13 after taxes. I was pleased with the amount of food and ate it happily at the bar. The salad was really good with little pomegranate seeds that added great acidity to cut through the fattiness of the beef. The beef was nicely marinated and grilled to perfection. If in the area, I would probably go back again but this time I would order to go. Will try the chicken next time.

Yelp
Had been hearing amazing things about this spot since it opened and finally stopped by for a quick lunch during work! Atmosphere is small and cozy. Decor is clean and simple with lots of green throughout, and menu is easy to read while you're in line. Keep in mind, this is NOT a place to sit down and eat, it is a no frills take out spot, but if you must, there's a communal stand up table. And if you've never been deep in Richmond on Macdonald Ave, just know that it isn't in the safest neighborhood. Street parking can also be tough. Now the FOOD, what we are ALL here for. So far I have only had the Kalbi (kbbq beef shortribs) sandwich and plate. UNBELIEVABLE. The sandwich is on an Acme roll, but what was amazing about it was the apple arugula salad and the creamy (mayo based?) sauce in the sandwich. Usually, Kalbi is pretty heavy, but this was a refreshing twist that was more balanced with each bite. If you are not a sandwich person, the plate is just as good and with big portions of shortribs. I must say though, everyone comes here for the Mary's fried chicken, there most popular item. Everyone I know who has had it has raved about it... so if you are lucky enough to make it here during their minimal hours AND it is not sold out, PLEASE go for it. Anyways, I will definitely be back. For the fried chicken. And the scallops. And for the Kalbi shortribs again.

Yelp
Diamond in the ruff! Great seafood and steaks! Everything comes with fresh veggies balanced sauces, lots of fresh citrus and greens. I have been building an apartment complex a block away, and until this place opened, the only other decent option were tacos. This place a so good, it's worth a stop off the freeway on your way north. Not great seating options, but I am sure they will work on that!

Yelp
Wow. Korean Fusion in Central Richmond. Restaurants like this are usually reserved for Point Richmond or neighboring cities like El Cerrito. I am so glad they took a chance and I hope the community rewards them handsomely. The food is amazing. They use high quality ingredients and you can really taste it (they show the process on their instagram @twenty2zero7). I walked in and was greeted by an older lady who I think is the mother of the chef. She took my order and offered me a free drink for it being my first time in. I could see through the pickup window, the chef was in the kitchen grilling the meat for my Kalbi banh mi to order. In less than 10 minutes I had my sandwich. Bread toasted perfectly, meat tender and perfectly seasoned. Fries hot and crispy. I really enjoyed eating here. With an expanded menu (kalbi fries? ) longer hours, and hopefully being added to uber eats/ DoorDash, I can see this place sticking around for a long time.

Yelp
Hands down one of our favorite locals joints for lunch. Not an extensive menu but it has something for everyone. Tried many of the items and nothing has disappointed. The price point is also great for the quality of their food. I agree with another Yelper that we need more places like this. It feels good to support local businesses.

Yelp
This was easily the best fried chicken I've had in the Bay. Think karaage chicken that you get in Japanese restaurants. 2 Perfectly fried leg quarters marinated , dredged in Japanese flour, and fried in rice oil. They were large, meaty, moist, crispy, juicy and perfectly seasoned but not spicy. They come with a large pile of thick cut crispy waffle fries that can't be beat or you can have salad. Comes with a side of homemade ranch and crystal hot sauce. Come hungry because it's a ton of food! You could easily split an order if you're not starving. Interesting menu makes me want to come back for other things like flank steak, sirloin, scallops, short ribs. It's takeout only. Ordering online was easy and was ready at the time I requested. Packaged right. They don't close the covers on the chicken or fries so they stay crisp. It was at least 15 minutes before I tried the chicken and it was still steaming hot inside and crispy outside. I didn't have any issue with having to order for the next day. I placed my order around 9AM for 11:15 pickup. There's no sign, just the address 2207 on the window. Plenty of street parking around the corner. Go there!

Yelp
I love this place! The food is fresh and delicious! I told everyone at work and they all go there now. It is closed for now because of the pandemic, but when it opens again; I will be there.

Yelp
Oh man! Thank you for coming to downtown Richmond! We live passed downtown and been there for quite some time. The Asian restaurants are all Thai and Chinese and there are almost no decent ones towards downtown. So to have this Korean-ish place open for lunch is a gem! The grilled chicken and short ribs are yummy, the chicken, I can't believe I'm saying this, is better than the beef. The salad that comes with the rice plate has seasonal fruit and veggies. The last plates we got had pomegranates and fennel! Also their rice, is always on point, never under cooked or mushy. Please also consider the fried chicken. It's not like Southern fried chicken, which I also love, it's more like a Korean inspired fried chicken, without the sauce on it. It's crispy and delicious, they give you two hindquarters per order and it stays pretty good for the next day. Consider this for lunch if you work/live in the area; I'd love to have this place stick around.

Yelp
"2207" has limited hours, limited days, limited menu. no seating, just order, wait & go. assume all proteins charcoal grilled as this is highlighted in window in a neon sign. offerings: korean eats. korean "fusion" in salad, plate, wrap forms. entrees have rice + salad or french fry choice. eats: charcoal grilled short ribs(11.95) with salad, rice -lots of grilled short rib pieces: semi juicy, semi greasy. not total umami experience as grease taste builds up in mouth. -fresh salad: iceberg lettuce, cucumbers, etc. dressing creamy ala ranch. -short grain rice just ok- didn't eat with grilled short rib as greasy rib doesn't pair well with bland rice... *ate ribs before it cooled, doubt cold ribs would taste good. -eatery in run down part of Richmond.

Yelp
I took a nibble of the shortrib sandwich and had to pull the car over to finish it. Truly delicious. Also sampled the fried chicken and it quite a bit better than Brendas in Oakland. Going back ASAP.

Yelp
This place is awesome! We need more places like this around in our community and I am glad they are here! I just tried the fried chicken with side salad and it was amazing. The chicken is perfect. Crispy skin that doesn't fall apart into a million pieces, juicy meat with delicious seasoning! Cooked to perfection, to order! The side salad was great too. Not only some BS afterthought poor excuse for a salad but rather fresh greens, apple sliced thin, delicious dressing, it's wonderful. Food= 5 stars Service = 5 stars Community contribution= 5 stars 2 thumbs up, I'll definitely be back.

Yelp
Delicious! Hardest part is the wait time and the lack of hours but if you can make it in that window you won't be disappointed. I really wish I had more time to explore the menu and try more things. This Banh Mi sand which was amazing. I would recommend calling in early and picking up, there is no room to eat inside.
