Gone are the fresh ceviches and acorn breads served with caviar, but in their place is a new, concise selection of Nikkei (Japanese-Peruvian) comfort foods. This place is "alright" But be prepared to defend yourself. I've had one gun pulled on me in front the building (our security was talking to me at the time, but walked away while i'm de-escalating the situation) I've been assaulted twice here on property. most recently by their security guards, Allied Security to be specific, Allied pretends their guards are innocent and protects them at every step of the way. Document everything that happens here. Get your police reports filled. Look at reviews, AVA went downhill 1.5 years ago, Ava has replaced all of the og staff, the reports of assaults, homeless, and robbers breaking into 1st floor apt's is all true. The latch app (door latch system) people complain about here is real. If someone is trying to get into the building behind you, it takes you almost a min sometimes to get into the door, they will follow you inside. I've been here 7 years. I've seen the ups and downs. AVA will just sweep it under the rug. Also guaranteed I'll lose my security deposit over this review just like everyone else is claiming here... But I'll be dealing with Ava and Lawyers for years from what I can tell. And to anyone who doesn't believe this, Peking Tavern is downstairs, all the neighbors meet up there to talk about the nonsense. Come talk to my neighbors/bartenders before you sign.No one has a good thing to say. Yes it's close to good food and attractions but be prepared to fight for your life.
