"Try the khao man gai (Thai variation of Hainanese chicken rice) two ways — the traditional steamed chicken or the deep-fried crispy chicken version over chicken broth-flavored rice. Or pick an entree from the Isan section of the menu, which showcases dishes from the northeastern region of Thailand, including grilled chicken wings with sticky rice and nam tok beef (a Thai beef salad)." - Didi Paterno

Google
Have been coming here more recently after I discovered they have boat noodles and some other authentic Thai dishes. The boat noodles are delicious. Loaded with beefy and herbal flavor and they are very generous with the beef. Whenever I'm craving a flavorful and meaty soup, I come here. They do have some other dishes like the poached chicken, fried chicken rice, and other classics. They are all pretty good but I can't emphasize the boat noodles enough if you have to try a dish here.

246 Thai Grab and Go serves really delicious Pad Thai—great flavor and big portions! I added shrimp and tofu, and everything was cooked just right. It did end up being about $20 total ($14 for the base, $4 for shrimp, $2 for tofu), which feels a little pricey—but considering the location and quality, it's understandable. If you're in the area and craving Thai, it's definitely worth a try!

Google
We LOVE 246 Thai Grab & Go!! We visited on a weekend and like always, had a great experience! Their Pad Thai is perfect!! We also had the chicken fried rice and green curry. We live about 3 hours away and I dream about this food. As recommended by the employee we tried the green curry and wow it was amazing. The perfect amount of heat and served with a bowl of rice. I can’t recommend visiting enough. Yes they are great for take-out hence the name but they also have plenty of seating. Unlike many other take-out places, we were checked on by the sweetest employees which I appreciate. The prices are fantastic for the amount of food you get. 3 adults shared 3 items and almost couldn’t finish it. MUST HAVE!!

Google
Absolutely a gem! All their food is fresh and taste amazing! This is my go-to spot for Thai. Best value for cost and taste as well. Did I mention the chicken and beef are now Halal! Way better than Noodle Wave and other nearby Thai eateries. Their customer service is top notch as well!

Brenda Martinez

Google
They are super sweet, they explained the menu items. The food was yummy and good portion. It’s not too spicy The restaurant is very clean.

Google
I ordered online while shopping at 99 ranch and was able to pick it up when I was done. I was worried about freshness because I ordered papaya salad and kao man gai. Everything was well-prepared. I loved that they had the fish sauce separated from the papaya salad, so it wouldn’t be soggy. The chicken was deboned and came with a dipping sauce. Most importantly, the food was delicious.

Stanley Gill

Google
This is hands down some of the best Thai food around. I haven’t tried the curries yet, but the noodle dishes I’ve had were absolutely top notch—fresh, flavorful, and well prepared. Everything tastes light yet satisfying. Great mango sticky rice. Definitely my go-to spot when I’m craving Thai.

Google
We have been coming to 246 Thai for years and it never disappoints! The food is so flavorful and the portions are generous- I usually end up with a little left over for another tasty snack. It does run on the more spicy side and they have signs cautioning about this as well. The staff is super friendly and will explain what each dish is if you have questions.

Anna T.

Yelp
We ordered the fresh rolls, green curry, pad Thai, and mango sticky rice. We went with level 1 spicy for the pad Thai and the curry, and the curry was definitely spicy! We usually like spicy food but the curry was spicy even for us. We still loved it though and would definitely recommend it! The pad Thai was a lot less spicy comparatively, and was also really delicious. Finally, the mango sticky rice was also amazing! It was perfectly sweet. We also ordered delivery and it came very quickly and everything was warm! We loved everything and can't wait to return and try other items!

Yelp
Came here for Sunday lunch. It wasn't busy when we arrived and we ordered from the counter. The interior was quiet and clean. They also have a dart board for the kids to play. In total we got 4 dishes: Tofu Pad See Ew, Pork Pad Kee Mao, Chicken Curry, and Chicken with Rice. The tofu pad see ew was tasty and appropriately portioned. They used fried tofu and included some broccoli florets as well. But for the money paid, I expected there to be more broccoli. An entire crown of broccoli costs $1 and I was only given 5% of it, lol. Seems stingy if you ask me. The pork pad kee mao was good. P2 ordered it Thai spicy level 2, which is an American spicy level 6 of 10. The dish was delicious as well, and we had to take home leftovers. The curry chicken is how one might expect. Standard curry dish that's hard to mess up. The dish included potato and carrot chunks, as well as a plate of rice to eat. The chicken with rice reminded us most of Chinese Hainan Chicken, except they served it with a different sauce. But the chicken was seasoned and very yummy. Large portions of chicken with this dish, much to our delight! All in all, not a bad place to get Thai food. We'll go back to try their other menu items!

Joy M.

Yelp
Great food and great service. I was hesitant to check out this restaurant because I was afraid it was more like to go type servings with smaller portions on paper/plastic plates and bowls. But our portions and plating was like any regular restaurant. Even though it was an order at the counter type restaurant, someone did still come to check on us. There was one thing that went wrong with our order but they made it right. My main purpose of coming here was to try their boat noodle soup. Glad I came to try it because it was delicious! My boat noodle came out piping hot but somehow the noodles were still bouncy and not soggy. It was a tad bit sweet but manageable because the flavors were there. Kao soi was an off menu curry soup special. I typically would not order this as most places make it overly sweet and too heavy on the coconut cream. Theirs was not too sweet and not too creamy from the coconut cream.

Yelp
SO GOOD. I ordered Uber Eats from 246 Thai Grab & Go, and they have some of the best Thai food I've ever had in the DFW area. Portion sizes are great, and they have such a huge menu that you're bound to find options you love. Their rice and noodles are cooked/fried perfectly, and everything is seasoned really well too. I want to come here in person because if my delivery order was that good, I know my in-person experience is going to be even better.

Yelp
Our 2nd time here. Parking sucks! It's located in a corner so it took us a bit to fond parking. You walk in and order at the register, and they'll bring your food. The place wasn't busy. Very friendly faces and waitress kept checking on us. Hubby had the Tom Yum shrimp and Chicken Pad Ka Prow. The Tom Yum shrimp was fresh and delicious so was the Ka Prow. I had the shrimp wrap and Pad Thai. Both really good. Great place for a quick meal! Food was definitely fresh and delicious!

Andy P.

Yelp
Everything I ate was very good! The beef jerky... the sauce that came with it was okay. Papaya was also good but sweeter than I would have liked. The star of the show was the chicken and rice dish. That was amazing!!! The soup that came with it was also good. Service was good... I think he was the owner? He came and checked on me a couple times. Def would come back.

Yelp
I found this location hidden in the back, and decided to try it out. I got boat noodles, but noticed it wasnt as saucey as i thought it would be, but it had a pretty good spice to it (i got level 4 spiciness). The noodles could have been better, but wasnt bad. The chicken was nice and crispy, but could have been fried a little less. The thai tea was good, and came in a bottle, in which I found to be cool. The thai tea came at a good price, and was quite cheaper than other places with thai tea. This place is generally a to go place, and so they were quick to bring the food. They also had the option of a QR code to order your food on your phone, or just order in person at the register. The place was very clean, and well kept. I would recommend this place.

Jon N.

Yelp
One of our favorite Thai restaurant next to the Dallas Buddhist temple in which we always get the boat noodle soup! We get the level two spice which hit the right spot. Highly recommended and would be back!

June M.

Yelp
Got pad Thai and kao man gai ( chicken ginger rice ) for Togo, both medium spicy, and it's not spicy at all. Very tasty! At first, I thought the portion is a little bit small, but I was wrong, I was so full afterwards. My favorite was Kao Man Gai, so flavorful, and the chicken wasn't dry at all Seating kind of limited which is understandable hinted to the name of the restaurant. I think this spot it's a good lunch stop. Highly recommend

Phyllis C.

Yelp
This little restaurant hidden in the corner of the 99 Ranch Frisco plaza is definitely worth a try. I got the Kok Mai Gai for takeout and it was very quick to pickup. The workers seem pretty friendly as well. Kok Mai Gai is a turmeric chicken and rice dish and a great pick if you're looking to expand out of the usual picks. The spicy cilantro sauce was the STAR, I wish I could buy a bottle. Not too spicy for my American tastebuds, but still brings a good amount of refreshing heat. The portion was also quite big, definitely enough for some leftovers. Would love to come again and try their other dishes!

Martha G.

Yelp
Great service and flavorful food. We a chicken and a beef pad see ew and both plates were perfectly seasoned. I had never added spice to pad see ew dishes from other places in the past so I decided to add spice to these plates. It gave it a a nice kick! The mango sticky rice was so delicious. There's some seating options but I can tell they do a lot of to go orders. Would definitely come back again!

Jessica S.

Yelp
The best Thai food in town! Green curry, pad see ew, and chicken satay are our favorites here. Everything is bursting with flavor and their portions are fair. Beware of their spice levels -- the level 2 out of 4 is spicy enough for me. Can't wait to order again!

Christina M.

Yelp
I would 10/10 dine here again. The Pad Thai wasn't this best I've ever had but it still rivals many restaurants. Their veggies spring rolls were chefs kiss. I would recommend not getting any meat - I got ground chicken and the meat wasn't the best in my opinion but take that out and dip it in the peanut sauce and wah la it's perfect. My husband raved about to their masaman curry saying that it reminded him of our culinary adventures in Thailand. The service was amazing, we didn't find the place till 15 min before closing and the staff didn't make us feel awkward or bad at all and happily took our order. The food came so fast and we were able to get our food and take it out to go 2 minutes before they closed. Because of the superb tastes of the food, fast service, quick food delivery I just have to give credit where credit is due. I'll be back for sure!

Yelp
I was starving last week while in Frisco but I also wanted to try something new in that general area. Usually, I'd go to the sushi restaurant, Chinese, Korean and even Vietnamese; all there and have tried and enjoyed the food many times already. Then I saw this place. At first, I hesitated to go inside because it didn't look like a "Thai Restaurant" or even an actual restaurant for that matter. It looked more like a tiny little dental office with the name of the restaurant on the glass door; just very plain, no flashy or catchy signage, not even a photo of a dish. While a root canal was the last thing on my mind, my appetite was increasingly growing. So out of desperation, I entered the restaurant. I walked up to the counter to put my order. I ordered my favorite Thai dishes. At first, I ordered it "to go." But I suddenly felt light headed, perhaps low blood sugar from not having eaten for hours. So I told them that I have decided to sit and eat my food there. They graciously accommodated. As soon as my orders started coming, yes, I did say, "ORDERS" with an S, my very first bite...oh my! It's a good thing I was sitting down! Are you sitting down too? Wow! It was like fireworks in my mouth! Yes! Flavors exploded in my mouth! Whaaaat?!!!! This dental office-looking joint serves some ginormous flavors! OMG! I mean, I was BLOWN AWAY!!! I am DEFINITELY coming back for more dental work! Wooo!!!

Alfredo E.

Yelp
Food was amazing, service was first class and ambiance was super casual and due to the low affluence it was outstandingly quiet. We tied the Thai fried rice and the Pad Thai, with a Thai Tea. Everything was delicious! Just a word of advice, don't be too ambitious when they ask the level of spice. Level 2 was nice but actually spicy and level 3 should be eaten only if you know you can handle a good spice. (I might try level 4 next time though)

Justin L.

Yelp
I got the panang curry here, and it was very flavorful. The curry leaned more into sauce and meat, and I wish there were some veggies in the curry as well. Also the flavor leans spicier than sweet at level 2 spice.

Susan M.

Yelp
I'm very particular with thai food but I will tell you this place is authentic and if you like spice this is your place. Dishes to get: green curry, pad Thai, drunken noodle, chicken wings, mango sticky rice. Pass on: curry puffs Beware as their spice level is off the charts. I can take spice but 5 is very very uncomfortably spicy. I usually get spice level 4/5 at other places but have to get 2 or 3 here.

Peachie H.

Yelp
Food is delicious! We ordered Kao Mok Gai, Kao Mun Gai Tod, Kua Gai Noodles and Curry Puffs. The atmosphere is nice and friendly. Strongly recommended.

Kim D.

Yelp
My supervisor ordered from here for lunch, and i was impressed! I got the cashew stur fry with tofu, and the sauce was flavorful and tasty. There were abundant pieces of tofu that was well-seasoned. The portion for the price is excellent, i had enough for two hearty lunches. I hope we order from here again soon!

Megha V.

Yelp
Ordered through uber eats and tried for the first time. Got thai fried rice, pad see ew and fresh rolls. All vegetarian. Thai fried rice was good. Seasoned well and flavorful. The pad see ew was okay, have had better. Mostly just spice and very little sauce and brocolli. Mostly just spicy tofu noodles. Fresh rolls. Was hoping for more from for these. The veggies were fresh which was great but something was overwhelming? Not sure if it was basil in it? But kind of was hard to finish both rolls because of it, other wise it would have been great.

Mystii K.

Yelp
Everything I have tried is good!! Pad see eww , pad is great!!! Worth a visit. Call in and puck up- not much dine in room.

Susan B.

Yelp
I've ordered take-out here a few times. The price is on-par for most of the Thai restaurants around; personally, a little expensive maybe for this type of "to go" dining ambiance/establishment. The dishes here are a bit hit or miss; the Pad Thai and Curry dishes are great, but I was really disappointed in the Pad See Ew. The Pad See Ew tasted more like some Curry Noodles I've had at Vietnamese places. I'll stick to switching between this place and Saucy's for my Pad Thai. This place also offers some hand-bottled milk tea and Thai tea drinks!

Tenaya J.

Yelp
I cannot speak directly to the restaurant as I ordered to-go food delivery. The foods appearance was hood, however, the taste was not. It almost tasted dirty. I don't know if anyone has ever been in a restaurant that had a bad odor or looked like they were not following proper food establishment guidelines -- but if it has a taste, this was it. Possibly the food was old, from 1-2 days and that was the taste. I definitely lost out on this order though. I guess I have to go back to my trusted Thai spot.

Hannah P.

Yelp
While the food was exceptional; boat noodle was flavorful; the reason for the one star was regarding service. We decided to give this place a try because a lot of people recommended this place. However please talk to your cashier. She was rude, has this nasty look on her face upon our arrival. We stated it was our first time here, and no response. While she was friendly to other people who weren't of asian descents ironically, we did not feel welcomed there. *edit: the score went up, due to the nice owner who came attentively, asking about the spiciness level and gave us a free thai tea to help. Be aware level 1 is about a 3 in other places.

Tinisha V.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I have been coming here for 2 years. Always great quality food, great service, friendly staff, and family owned! Good music, clean establishment, reasonably priced! 10/10 recommend, thank you 246!

Nancy T.

Yelp
Was craving that food and other restaurants were closed on a Sunday besides 246 Thai grab and go. Decided to give it a try. Food was decent. It wasn't bad but I have had better Thai food. What I do like is that they have vegan options since I'm lactose intolerant which is a plus. We ordered the chicken wings which was my favorite out of all the items I've ordered. Crispy and flavorful. Pad see ew with tofu. Pad Thai vegan option which came with broccoli, tofu peanuts I opt out the bean sprouts. Veggie stir fry. Which was ok and the papaya salad. All level 3 which had a good heat to it. For dessert the mango sticky rice. Very delicious. Perfect amount of sweetness. I love how the sticky rice was a beautiful blue color. The mango that came with it was so good

Allen L.

Yelp
Food was terrific . Delivered warm . Would reorder from them for sure . Liked the Noodles and level of spiciness

Lee G.

Yelp
Some of the best thai food in dfw. It's quick and high quality. Definitely recommend people to try it out.

Alicia C.

Yelp
We tried chicken pad Thai and the vegetarian curry puffs from the appetizers. WOW! So fresh and delicious tasting. I'm beyond impressed, and I rarely feel that way about takeout food, ha! Can't wait to order again.

Christi J.

Yelp
Excellent Thai food in Frisco! We've been a few times and loved the food and experience. They give fair warning about their spice level so they aren't lying. Most Thai restaurants claim their spiciest level is spicy... but it's not. This place isn't one of those restaurants. I usually order the Panang curry with white rice- it's so good! Full of flavor and filled with your protein of choice. There's ample seating inside along with parking. Service is good and the ambiance is just as good. Check out this spot if you're in the Frisco area!

Tanya W.

Yelp
Great food and very friendly service. The owner is very nice. Their food never disappoints. Pad Thai is my favorite from here!

Natasha L.

Yelp
My top favorite Panang Curry for years is ruined. Last few months, they turned up the heat beyond edible. WAY too spicy even at level zero we were dying. Super sad. It was our favorite weekly meal.

Toni L.

Yelp
This is my go to for Thai takeout. It's very consistent and always delicious. Their curry options are very flavorful and their mood Le dishes and papaya salad are great. I have never eaten indoors, so I cannot comment on Service or atmosphere.

Veronica H.

Yelp
This place is legit. We love super spicy Thai food and they did not disappoint. I got a spice level 4 and it was just as hot as I hoped it would be. Our new go to for Thai food in Frisco. There are tables you can eat at even though it says grab and go. 10/10 recommend

Maxwell Valentine B.

Yelp
So tasty! Super quick and easy. Not the absolutely cutest decor but for a grab-n-go who cares? I'll go back for sure!

Brad F.

Yelp
Awesome authentic Thai Food with very accurate heat levels. I recommend ordering a level below your usual, first. I like it to the point of sweat and tears and the endorphin rush that follows. Highly recommend. I've tried their Tom Yum soup, the Nam Tok Beef, Papaya Salad (minus the dried shrimp), and the Larb Gai. All were beyond my expectations. Also, they pack to-go orders extremely well. I wish they'd open another 246 closer to me, such as McKinney. I'd be there several times a week!

Dennis N.

Yelp
We found this restaurant using Yelp. We try to eat here each time we're on Frisco. Very good food. Thanks.

Boris S.

Yelp
Great and unique flavors on well known dishes. I look forward to trying some new dishes next time. Pad sew e ew and pad thai were great

ravi c.

Yelp
We walked in to an empty restaurant, we ordered the yellow curry and pad kee mao with tofu with spice level 4. We got a fountain drink for the yelp checkin. The food was ready promptly, the pad kee mao was really spicy, i would order a number 3 spice level next time. The portions are small, I didn't care for their tofu, it was some weird kind of spongy and tasteless. The yellow curry was good, again didn't care for the tofu. 3 stars because there was a fly and we had to keep fighting it while eating, the owner was sitting right next to us, but didnt seem to care about helping . It was literally around our food most of the time.

Jim S.

Yelp
The food here is really good. Ordered take out and was ready when I got there. Employee was very friendly. Didn't eat there so can't comment on ambiance. Will be going back

Cyndi K.

Yelp
I am so pleased to have finally found a Thai restaurant that offers great and flavorful dishes in the Frisco area! Delivery is offered through UberEats and GrubHub. I had ordered the Pad See Ew for delivery. Delivery was quick. The portion of the dish was generous and it tasted very delicious. I can't wait to try more dishes whether delivery or pick up. Thank you 246 Thai Grab & Go for opening in Frisco! I don't have to travel far for yummy Thai food!

Becky M.

Yelp
I got the Pad See Ew which is my go to dish at any Thai place. This is the worst I have ever had. The sauce was not correct nor plentiful. It was dry and not sure what flavor but too fishy. It's supposed to be a sweet/salty. They did not put enough egg. I got it with tofu and the tofu was not seasoned nor cooked enough. They did put a lot of tofu, but since it wasn't tasty I did not eat it all. They also do not have red chili oil? Isn't that standard at Thai places. It was a liquidy fish sauce with chili in it?? Weird My husband went to the Bahn Mi place right next door and his sandwich looked legit. The guy was baking the bread fresh and it was a huge sandwich for a good price. I should have gone there. :(

Katherine L.

Yelp
Pretty solid fast casual style Thai restaurant in the North Dallas area. I was visiting the area from CA and found myself craving Thai food. I ordered the beef pad Thai for around $12 extra spicy. I love my spice and boy, when they say "Thai spicy" , they mean it. They offer spice levels from 1-5. Spicy lovers, I'd recommend getting a 4 if you want to enjoy your food while tasting the spice because I regretted getting the 5. I called for pick up and my order was ready within 10 minutes. The restaurant was clean and inviting while the cashier and nice and courteous. I have no complaints

Madi L.

Yelp
Great Thai food. We like the Pad Thai, cooked with actual taste and made to the spice level you want, Massamun Curry, really tasty with chunks of potatos, carrots and the meat of your choice, I usually go with chicken and the flavor combination is delicious. The other item we like is the thai fried rice. If you have trouble finding a good thai place then you can stop looking. They are friendly, the place is clean and the food is consistent each time which is hard to find sometimes. Enjoy your experience.

Tracy B.

Yelp
Called in an order. Person who answered was very nice. Warned me about the Thai spice level. I'm Thai so I'm familiar with Thai spice levels. I asked for 5/5, I'd say it was 3/5 maybe. Vegetable egg rolls were small, mushy inside. Would not order again. Chicken pad Thai was bland. Not very flavorful, would not order again. Boat noodle soup with beef (additional $2 for beef) was actually pretty good. Authentic flavor. Would recommend to others.

Nitin S.

Yelp
One of the slew of new places opening up in the vicinity of 99 Ranch in Frisco. At first I was under the impression they were like the Panda Express of Thai food. However we've never tried that but did order and pick up from the place multiple times. As far as taste of the food goes, by far the best tasting Thai food in Plano/Frisco. The quantity is a bit on the smaller side compared to the other restaurants. Oh yes they don't skimp on the spice here ...I normally get 4 stars but here that was extremely hot (needed to tell them 3). Outstanding addition to the Thai food scene in Frisco.

Yashar S.

Yelp
this place is good most of the time. But latley they have been giving me the wrong spice level. I order 1 cause I cant handle real spice. but the food they give me is so inconsistent with the spice levels.

Antjuan L.

Yelp
went there for lunch to try out a new Thai spot I got the Tom Kai gia and steamed rice left and got back to the office and tried it not what I'm use to tasted lie it was just mixed, called and ask if I could bring it back and get a refund since I had only taken one bite was told no because that the manger wasn't going to lose money its sad the young lady at the counter was every nice but the manger will have this place closed do soon

Alvin H.

Yelp
The upside to this place is convenience (well chosen location) and their spice level (hotter and better than most Thai places). Downside is the flavor is...average. I've had all their noodles, all their fried rices, a handful of their curries and I can honestly say none of them truly stand out. Not saying this is bad but I use their crazy spice level to overcome their "meh" flavor in their dishes. All in all, there are better Thai places around (Crushcraft is worth the 25 min drive!) but if you're in the area...and I am often...this isn't such a bad spot.

S ..

Yelp
Love this place! It's our regular go to for carry out. Service is always great. Be careful of the spice levels, if you can't handle any just go with 0. Level 1 is pretty spicy for me. It goes all the way to 5!
