Mae’s Que House Review - South Loop - Chicago - The Infatuation

"Operating out of the Wabash restaurant hub in the South Loop, Mae’s Que House serves quality smoked meats and soulful sides. If you’re having a hard time ordering, their duo meals (like the rib tips and hot link) are an easy (and filling) decision. They come with your choice of two sides, and we really like the apple coleslaw and the smoked mac and cheese. Available for pickup and delivery only." - Phaithe Norman

Yelp
This business is closed, but thanks to the old owner for answer the phone and telling me they've been closed for a few years now. How Bao Dat?

Yelp
How Bao Dat @howbaodatchi - South Loop, Chicago, IL First of all, isn't their name awesome? Secondly, who doesn't love bao? @howbaodatchi is serving up bao buns, skewers, stir frys, and more for delivery and pick up only at the @southloopfoodcompany. As a South Loop resident myself, I think this cloud kitchen is an incredible addition to the neighborhood! We got to try 3 different bao, pictured top to bottom: Beef Bao: shredded beef, gochujang BBQ sauce, pickled ginger, fried garlic, scallions Jerk Chicken Bao: shredded jerk chicken, spicy kimchi scallions (loved the spice level of this) Lamb Bao: Grilled and braised leg of lamb, tzatziki, tomatoes, pickled red onions, scallions (just like a gyro) The jerk chicken noodle stir fry bowl was delicious as well! It was loaded with lots of veggies and jerk chicken! Highly recommend checking this place out for food that has familiar flavors (and maybe some not so familiar) presented in a new way! Can't wait to try more of their menu!

Yelp
Really good. Definitely an order again. Should be a 4.5 if YELP would get on board with the half star So by now we have a delivery routine for reheating food, especially with this single degree bs. Our food required no reheat. Great start. What we had: 3 buns: their buns are about service size of a normal taco for reference. Not too chewy which was perfect. Shrimp - really liked this. Season/ cooked well, sauces paired great Beef: tender, not strongly stick-in-your-teeth beef. Very tasty sauces Chicken- solid fried chicken, again, paired with nice sauces. Kimchi: a staple and they serve it warm which I love, if you haven't tried it I suggest it. Pairs great with their seasoned fries. Seasoned fries: good seasoned fries, and we're French fry people. Jerk chicken stir fry noodles: kind of like a lo mein, we added Fresno chilies and it was a bit spicy, just spicy enough if you like some heat. Tasty and a good sized portion. So we will order again and you should give them a try.

Yelp
This place is interesting, with a fusion that surprises with Asian, Mexican, and Caribbean flavors. It is the only place to order for delivery or pick up for me. I recommend Los Baos, Shrimp stir fry, and the breakfast.

Yelp
Had really good 1 Stir Fry, 1 Bun, 1 Side. I had the chicken as the meat. The noodles was fantastic. The bao bun I didnt understand. Not tasty, and the side was slaw. But the portion of the noodle dish was correct and the taste was top shelf.

Yelp
Amazing food! They have selected items all of which seem pretty delicious. Corn was my favorite! I had the mushroom bao bun and the veggie stir fry noodles which were both great. Katsu veggie sandwich was super tasty too. On the meat, I hear the Pork bao bun was the best. However, the wait time for the food pickup was way too lonnngggg.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try How Bao Dat for a minute and I'm so glad I finally did. They did not disappoint! I ordered the loaded fries and 3buns-jerk chicken bao, beef bao and spicy pork bao- the beef was my favorite. The flavors were so unique, spicy and refreshing. Will definitely order again to try more bun flavors.

Yelp
This is one of my new favorite restaurants! The food is always delicious (especially the elote-style street corn if that's your thing) and they follow order notes well.
