Yelp
I came here twice during my stay in New York as it was right across the street from my hotel and was convenient, well priced, healthy but flavorful. I got a bowl each time and tried the chicken shwarama, the cauliflower and the roasted eggplant. All three were seasoned well but the cauliflower was my favorite hands down. It was nice and crispy crunchy but tender and had the perfect spice on it. Everything tasted very fresh and all of the toppings on offer and great and quite the variety and the tahini and zoug sauces I tried were exceptional. Like the concept of this place, in a sort of market where you can order at different counters and share tables with others. Very good!

Yelp
I used to come here a lot when I dogsat nearby and recently came back. I think the falafel bowls can be a good but rarely great, so my go-to order is typically a side of hummus. I love this side of hummus. Not only is it incredibly affordable, but for me it works as a meal because of the amazing bread they give with it. I'd honestly eat this hummus straight, but the bread is just always so soft and the spice blend on it is so flavorful. Every time I have it I am in my happy place :)

Yelp
This is the only place that makes eating healthy taste so good. I got the chicken shawarma bowl and it did not disappointed. The chicken was juicy and flavorful and all the toppings were fresh. Harissa sauce added a nice spice. Also the crispy shallots are a must.

Fred T.

Yelp
This was my first time at this chain. We have something similar here int he Bay Area called SAJJ. For lack of a better word, it is basically Chipotle with a Mediterranean theme. I chose to build my own bowl. The base was romaine and hummus. The lettuce was fresh and the hummus had a nice garlic taste to it. The falafel was excellent. The green falafel was perfectly fried and had a great herby taste to it and the harissa falafel was nicely spicy and was an interesting counter to the green. I went a bit nuts and added a bunch of toppers. It was an excellent bowl. The service was fast and on point.

Yelp
Post-gym bites Chicken Shawarma pita from Taim. I loved how we can add anything and customize it to however we want. They were very generous with hummus. Next time I'll ask them for extra protein. Very well seasoned & they provide generous portion of ingredients. Definitely recommend.

Yelp
I usually enjoy Mediterranean, but I received a miss from here. This particular chain was located inside the beautiful Jax&Co food hall, with plenty of seating to eat and lounge around. Service was also great. There weren't too many pre-fix options, but I decided to try their new Honey Harissa Bowl ($13.95), which consisted of sweet and spicy steak upon the usual tomatoes, cucumbers, cabbage and feta base. The veggie sides, were fantastic, fresh and flavorful. But the steak was just so jarring sitting there. It was a rather thin cut of steak, and almost close to a beef brisket, and I wasn't expecting for it to be so saucy! Ordering this also probably wasn't the best choice for me since I don't normally go for saucy, but I can't imagine how this protein and sides could have gone together to be an enjoyable meal. The spicy and sweet sauce was overpowering. Experimenting for something new didn't work out in my favor this time around. Would have tried their Cauliflower if they had!

Yelp
I thought this was really great Mediterranean fast food. Taim reminded me of Cava on the West Coast. The location at the airport has ipad smart screens where you can order everything you want in your Pita wrap or your bowl. They have a lot of really great sauces to mix in and I found the food to be delicious!

Eva G.

Yelp
This place is located in Jacx&Co. I chose the falafel as it states it is the best seller. It was really good. I loved how it was flavorful and fresh. I would order this again.

Deanna P.

Yelp
This was my first time trying taim, and it was delicious! Very flavorful, lots of healthy options, generous portions and customizable. I got the chicken shawarma bowl with rice and customized it with many of the included topping options. I also tried their saffron aioli which was so flavorful and delicious. Only gripe is I wish the chicken was chopped up a bit smaller as their were some huge pieces that were hard to eat. Also, first time at Jacx & co in LIC, and what a cool space. So many different seating options/arrangements and it wasn't crowded when we went. It also gives you the opportunity to try multiple places in the food hall.

Emily G.

Yelp
Overall a good healthy option for lunch. It's like a cava (which is like a chipotle) except you say your order, pay, and then get the bowl after a while, rather than them "building your bowl" in front of you. It might not be the quickest if you come during lunch rush (there are a lot of pick up orders!), and my salad bowl ended up costing $20 because I got half chicken ($13.75) half steak (+$4) :sob: if you get a regular bowl with rice I'm sure it'd be SUPER filling. I wouldn't actually recommend the chicken shawarma, it tasted more like curry chicken? I also didn't love the steak harissa, BUT im a sucker for all the hummus and sauces. You can also choose up to 8 toppings so you know I chose exactly 8 toppings. Service was pretty quick and friendly though. Located inside the food court right in the back. Restroom has a code that's on the receipt. Nice space to chill as well.

JiHae L.

Yelp
This eatery is inside a food hall located in LIC. It's towards the back. I couldn't decide between this one and a different spot in the same food hall. I'm glad that I chose this one as it was healthy and filling at the same time. I even shared with someone because the meal looked like it would be too much for one sitting. I ended up making my own bowl. It was huge at the end when it was done. I got the chicken Shawarma it is roasted with their house blend sauce. I don't recall how many toppings or sauces that I got, but it was maxed out for both. I didn't know if everything would mesh well together, but it did. I was impressed! I would most definitely order this again.

Yelp
My first bite of food for this NY Trip. It as some ups and one major down for me. First off this place is located on the ground level of The Jacx & Co Food Hall. They have a few different eateries with a sit-down sushi restaurant upstairs. Anyways service wasn't an issue but since I ordered on the kiosk it was kind of non-existent. They did follow the special request/instructions I put in for my order properly though. I ordered: 1 Shawarma Chicken Pita, Pickled Cabbage, Hummus, Red Pepper Babaganoush, Tzatziki, Pickled Onions, Feta, Crunchy Chickpeas, Tangy Mango Sauce, Spicy Green Chilies Sauce, Whipped Garlic Sauce After taking the first bite I was immediately met with the "crunchy" chickpeas. They were so hard that it almost made the pita inedible. I had to scrape them out. After a few bites I started to realize that it was a pita full of toppings with little to no chicken. After continuing further I realized that it was more about poor uneven assembly of the pita. Luckily this also made it easy to get rid of the rock hard chickpeas. What does redeem them to a degree are the flavors of the individual pieces as a whole. The cabbage and pickles were perfectly pickled. The whipped garlic feta and red pepper babaganoush were great as well.

Ali H.

Yelp
Decided to try Taim inside Jax & Co and I'm glad I did! I got the falafel bowl on half rice and half salad. The flavors in this bowl were so delicious! I highly recommend the whipped garlic sauce, harissa, and lemon mint dressing! You place your order on a screen, which doesn't have an option to customize, so I had to ask one of the ladies to please put the sauces on the side. Jax & Co is a cute place to dine in and enjoy your meal, but it was a little busy at lunch time. The only suggestion/request I have is to make the toppings unlimited. Other places I've been like this don't limit the toppings and I was a little disappointed I had to pick and choose since the bowl was limited to only 8 so I couldn't try everything I wanted to.

Luke B.

Yelp
I don't live in NYC anymore, but everytime I'm back I try to stop in at Taïm. The Impossible Kebab bowl ($14.75) is one of my favorite things on any menu. I also get the Hand Cut Fries with harissa ketchup and saffron aioli ($5.50). For $20, it's a lot of food and it's pretty healthy, so I don't end up feeling unwell after. My favorite location is in the Jacx&Co food hall, where you can grab a table, order from the app, and they'll bring it right to you. A very smart system and one that I wish more places had. 10/10

Yelp
Can't get enough täim! Legit wish I could eat here everyday. Setup inside of a beautiful little food hall, this spot is dark and vibey. This is not your typical bright and sterile food court. Fantastic meat free options - we had the falafel bowl and the cauliflower shawarma. Both were uber flavorful and well done. The bowls are quite large and packed with delicious veggies. It's also nice that you get to customize your bowl with a different salad or grain base. Make sure to download the täim app to save yourself some time. They also offer a discount for first time orders and send new offers regularly. We did have an issue with redeeming this in the app, but they were able to apply it to our order quickly at the counter.

Erik B.

Yelp
This place is fire! It can be difficult to find the spot while being tucked away inside a big apartment complex but once you enter, you'll get so much magic in a tiny bowl. The cost is marginal and the food is delicious. There are a variety of options to choose from including Falafel, specially flavored hummus, toasted pinenuts and other ingredients that all come together as a unique salad bowl. Their fries are delicious and come with an abundant supply even for a side order. They also have BBQ flavored cauliflower as a side dish. A good scenario for eating team is when you want some thing hearty, homemade, healthy yet not expensive meal when you're tired at home. Easily portable and can be found across multiple locations in New York City.

Giovanni S.

Yelp
They constantly mess up my order. Shame too because the food is good. Cant find parking near there so you're forced to get from Uber Eats. Got the completely wrong order AGAIN. Nobody ever picks up the phone and Uber Eats takes 2 days to get back to you and rarely resolved the issue and NEVER actually refunds you your money in full.

Cindy M.

Yelp
Healthy filling fast casual meal. Service is friendly and fast. I like grabbing taim once in a while when im too lazy to make food at home.

Bijal R.

Yelp
Great Mediterranean food for a fast food place. Love the location in LIC! Quick service even with bulk orders. Customizable options available to accommodate for various food preferences. Fresh, quality ingredients and flavorful. The chicken schwarma bowl is always a go too, served with rice, feta, pickles, cabbage, cherry tomatoes, diced cucumbers and sauce. Pita always served on the side.

Darren B.

Yelp
Don't get me wrong, the quality of the food/ ingredients is good, but I had the strangest experience today, 12/6. The staff refused to include lettuce in the falafel pita sandwich. I offered to stuff it in there myself if they put it on the side. They've even done it before, and I saw the very large bin of lettuce in the food prep area. But apparently store policy is that, when it comes to pita and lettuce, never the twain shall meet in the form of a pita sandwich any more. Does the pita contaminate the lettuce in some way? Are they trying to distinguish themselves from every other falafel shop in America that puts lettuce on a falafel sandwich and declaring that a pita sandwich is no proper place for lettuce? I know they don't need my money, but what a weird hill to die on... Maybe next time.

Daniel E.

Yelp
There is nothing worse than eating cold and dry falafel. They also got my order wrong. Ingredients for my bowl were listed on the order so how do you get that wrong? The bowl is a mess! Worst $30 I spent. Oh yeah $30 for a bowl with Falafel on the side. Pretty outrageous if you ask me!

Nathan N.

Yelp
Quick tasty and pretty healthy. I like the variety of toppings and sauces you get. Its not cheap but nothing is anymore. Food court is spacious clean and the nicest one ive been to. Recommended.

Emily C.

Yelp
This Mediterranean spot is great! It's located in the Jacx&Co foodcourt and perfect for a grab and go meal. The food court is actually really nice inside as well if you'd prefer to sit in. They do check for vaccine cards for those who are dining in. Although they are popular, from people ordering on the spot and a ton of take out orders, they work quickly to fulfill each order. I love getting their bowls. You get to choose a base, protein, and any (or all) of their toppings. I typically go for the roasted chicken, eggplant sabich or the falafel. It's all delicious with the chicken being perfectly tender, eggplant fried well but not oily, and the falafel is super crispy! I also like getting their hummus and pita on the side. The hummus side is actually a good portion and tastes great. Don't skip on their sauces either!

Lucy L.

Yelp
The food doesn't look aesthetic, but it's SO GOOD. The fries are thin, crispy, and well seasoned. The sauce comes on the side, and the saffron aioli is so good. It's very rich and creamy, and the saffron is such a good mix in the sauce. The bowl costs about 13 dollars, and the flavor is so good. We got half lettus and half rice base, and it's create amazing texture and flavor. Highly recommend, but the only complaint is I wish it portion was a bit bigger.

Matt S.

Yelp
I been here couple of times...Had chicken shawarma sandwich? the pita and toppings are good had it with boiled egg, Tahiti and French fries....problem is when I get to the bottom of the sandwich the chicken is very dry and bland...The food here is just average not extraordinary....there are better spots for this type of food.

Hunter S.

Yelp
Mediterranean eatery with shawarma, pita, hummus, babaganoush, pickled veggies, salads, and hot crispy fries. They serve their shawarma in bowls or pita wrap. They also serve loaded fry bowls. My pita was HUGE! I had it with garlic and spices. Chicken was juicy and delicious, tons of flavor. The fries were so hot and perfectly cooked. Prices reasonable. This was located in JacX & Co food court (reviewed separately), so it could be a great option for a group who wants different options. There is also a nice bar. Lots of seating options for groups of various sizes.

Kelsey A.

Yelp
I love Taim! This one is inside Jacx and Co which means there's tons of great seating and a nice bar. I highly recommend the cauliflower schwarma bowl with super greens and harissa sauce. I also get the red pepper babaganoush. I've tried to add olives, cucumbers, pickled onions, and hot peppers, but I just like it better without! Not sure why! The marinated beets are an excellent side.

Keshia C.

Yelp
TLDR - Disappointed as this was my first time with this franchise. Ordered delivery via UE and restaurant did not take the time to update their menu or adjust the order to reflect that they were out of the item that I ordered so they just sent whatever they wanted which is mind blowing to me as a former employee in the food/hospitality space. I mean you guys are know for your falafel...remove it if you are out of stock and don't make decisions for your patrons. What was pretty annoying was they ran out of falafel and never amended their menu so instead of calling or doing an in app countdown to chose something else or cancel the order like some other restaurants do, they just chose to fill it with chicken....? The person eating this was vegetarian and ordered a vegetarian item so I am not sure why the first thought was to include chicken which I thought was inconsiderate. If they had mentioned that they didn't have the dish, I could have canceled and placed an order at a restaurant that could have provided the dishes for all the parties eating. Ordered in the evening and ordered a greek salad ($13.90), marinated beets ($5.05), falafel pita ($13.25) and a chicken schwarma bowl topped with a sprinkling of fries ($18), side of white pita and hummus +zaatar pita ($7.60). Agree that the bowls are not the most aesthetic as another review mentioned. The chicken was fine and was tender enough and I had it topped w fries. Not worth it in my opinion. My friend did not get the falafel pita she requested, which was filled w chicken as mentioned. The seasoned beets don't taste particularly seasoned/marinated and we did not received the requested extra pita. The greek salad was definitely on the edge of being tossable. The lettuce lining the bottom was kicked and could have been fresher. No one really wants wilted lettuce with brown spotting all over. The hummus was good, but that is not a reason to return.

Selena L.

Yelp
Stopped by to grab a quick lunch here. I ordered a bowl with eggplant; the service was quick and the food was flavorful and just the right amount.

Gab G.

Yelp
This location of Taim is inside the JACX & CO food court. I recently had a falafel salad and basil mint lemonade, which were both decent. I'd say there are more exciting healthy options in JACX, but when you want Taim, you want Taim, and it's nice to have one in the area.

Ruby B.

Yelp
Because it is almost closing time the crew doesnt care if they still have one customer standing infront of them waiting to get my order. They were just talking . I asked them if my order is done and they just ignore me. Until another crew came in and i asked again . And that's when she took my order just sitting in the counter for a while already. Got so pissed that i cancelled my order.

Chen H.

Yelp
What makes Taim truly stand out is its flexibility, you can choose from falafel to chicken to roasted eggplant for the main, then 6 toppings, then any combo of the sauces they have. I was pretty happy with my DIY bowl, yum and healthy. Customer service was friendly and accommodating too!

Taryn M.

Yelp
Usually love to order from here, but tonight's dinner was disappointing. The menu has changed, there are now fewer add-ins for the price of the bowl, and you now have to pay extra for the pita that comes with the bowl. The portions we received seemed smaller than usual; we usually have leftovers for the next day, but my husband finished his and said he was still hungry.

Essie L.

Yelp
This is inside the big food court with high ceiling, you can get food from around 6 vendors there. Street parking is nearly impossible but I guess most people who come here live around or take the subway. The bowl is kind of like a Chipotle bowl but Mediterranean style. Portions are significantly smaller than Chipotle, and there's only one meat option (chicken). Taste was pretty good for a fast food bowl that's $12-13 bucks. I also got pita (fluffy!) to go with the hummus I picked for the bowl.

Park S.

Yelp
This place is one of my favorite places in my neighborhood. You can choose from a variety of toppings with hummus. This bowl is great if youre on a diet because it contains vegetables, protein, and limited carbs. .but, I think It's sort of expensive. Its conveniently located in JACX & CO which is a food court that's modern, clean and spacious. Every time I eat here I always feel satisfied and not overly full. I sometimes wish they had more veggie options that you could add to the bowl but not a big deal.

Sze Ting L.

Yelp
I got the falafel bowl here, but I was highly disappointed. The order took well over twenty minutes, and even though it was made to order the falafels were extremely dry. There wasn't enough seasoning in the bowl, and it tasted really bland overall. There are probably better options in this food court, and for a much quicker service too.

Vickiana B.

Yelp
I was not a fan of the texture and taste of eggplants until I tried it here at Taïm Mediterranean kitchen. One of my coworkers from we work suggested it and wow now I feel like it's my second favorite vegetable after the cauliflower from same place. Also the service is always on time

Josh B.

Yelp
Great Mediterranean spot located inside the Jacx&Co food court. There's plenty of seating available and you can even order from your table from a QR code and they'll bring your food to you. I ordered the Roasted Chicken Bowl and I was honestly surprised how huge the portion was! The bowl was delicious and definitely worth the money given what you get for it. I also got a side of the Taim Famour Fries, which I thought were pretty good. The Saffron Aioli and Harissa Ketchup were both great sauces for the fries. Will definitely be back!

Marina A.

Yelp
I wish I could give zero stars ! What used to be one of the best falafel places in the city became a sad disgrace of a place. I'm not sure if Einat ( the original owner and the falafel queen) has anything to do with Taim anymore because I don't think that she would've allowed it to be this bad . Falafel was so dry and burnt that my fork couldn't even go through. My order was missing items and non of the sauces that we requested were added . To make things worse before posting a bad review I called the place and explained what happened, the manager apologized and offered a refund . That was a week ago , since then I contacted my Bank and no refund was made and the current manager said that she wasn't there last week and the manager from a week ago is no longer available. Get your shit together and do better if you want to maintain customers . Sadly I would never order from them and for years I used to be a client of their multiple locations.

Raeq R.

Yelp
I had the pita as brunch, and damn it was good! Served hot and fresh in an amazing dine in platter. Definitely a must try! Also the workers are very welcoming. The dine in area is refreshing.

Karina D.

Yelp
I really love Taiim. The West village location is the best one and I used to go to the Flatiron location for my lunch breaks a lot. So, I decided to order through the Uber eats app and the closest location to me was the LIC. So so disappointed! The food came cold and didn't look fresh. They had a deal- free fries with $20+ order. Fries came cold as well and looked like yesterday's leftovers - dark and soggy. That's what you get when it's free?? Never ordering from this place again.

Everett J.

Yelp
Omg the food at Taim is amazing! I had the chicken shawarma and it was out of this world! I will definitely be back for the falafel and roasted meatballs

Vivian H.

Yelp
This place opened recently probably like less than a week. I was checking out places close by to my work and this popped up. This is inside a new building that is like a eatery with many other stalls, I can't remember all the names of the other joints but Mexicology looked good to me. The place also has a large space to dine in, but with covid, no way I am eating indoors. I got the eggplant sabich pita and it was just ok. Eggplant wasn't that flavorful and neither was the boiled egg. Toppings were ok, I liked the toasted almonds and olives. The shroug (green sauce) was tasty and spicy. Friend got the cauliflower bowl. Said it was good. Overall, so-so dining experience but I like that there are these options near work. That wasn't the case for a long while.

Brian S.

Yelp
Great value especially for the area, giant stuffed bowl with a huge variety of ingredients to choose from, everything was fresh and yummy too. I really like this kind if fast casual place comfy seating and you get to choose where you want to sit and move around if you please. Come try. I'm not even sure what could improve, maybe like bulgur instead or rice option. Oh and I like how you can do half greens half rice as a base.

Maria S.

Yelp
I saw this place recently opened in my neighborhood and I decided to give it a try. This place is located in a food court (Jacx&Co). The food court looked great and I would like to dine in once the pandemic is over. I got the Harissa Falafel Bowl and the Impossible Kebab Bowl. The falafel was delicious and cooked nicely. I also liked the vegetarian meat in the kebab bowl. However, I had a small stomachache after finishing the food. Probably the food was too heavy? Not sure. If you are in the area and have a craving for Mediterranean food, you can try it!

Rianna R.

Yelp
Haven't had Taim in forever so was excited this one opened up just a few minutes from my new apartment. Harissa falafel bowl was delicious and enough to have leftovers for lunch tomorrow. I like that you can split the base of the bowl, though the hummus being on the bottom wasn't my fave. I got the other half as cumin rice, which I thought was really nice. Also shared some saffron aioli fries with my husband -- was a huge serving for $4 and the dip was pretty good. Just needed a little more salt, but well cooked.

Annie Y.

Yelp
I ordered the Falafel Bowl with mixed falafel (Green and Harissa). I thought the Green was better and more flavorful. Only caveat was that the falafel wasn't warm and was a bit dry so definitely make use of the Hummus Base. I tried the Turmeric Pearl Couscous Base and the Toasted Cumin Rice Base. The Turmeric Pearl Couscous Base was the clear winner in terms of taste and texture. The Toasted Cumin Rice Base wasn't bad but it does soak up a lot of the juices from the toppings and the purple cabbage soaks or stains the rice. It also isn't as soft as the couscous. Overall, I felt the Falafel Bowl was decent but I have had better. For the area, it's not a bad option if you're looking for Mediterranean or for something with a lot of veggies.

Serene E.

Yelp
I ordered the roasted chicken bowl to-go. It was excellent. You choose two bases. I chose cumin rice and Romain lettuce. Then you pick your toppings. I liked the uniqueness of their toppings. I went for the feta, pickled onions, spicy peppers, almonds, and chickpeas. They give you a beeper and you get buzzed when ready. I think I paid around $13.95. Which is a great deal. I will go back next week for sure!

Rae R.

Yelp
Amazing employees. It's hard to find restaurant employees with wide smiles on their face, and on top of that greeting customers in a nice way. Taim has been my go to. As a vegan, I prefer taim over all the other options. No one else uses the cauliflower as good as they do. Thanks for the amazing experience here
