11 Amazing Korean Restaurants in Austin

"It’s worth exploring dishes featuring offal and other animal parts at the casual North Austin Korean restaurant, from chicken gizzards (deep-fried or stir-fried), the grilled guts over on the Korean barbecue portion, to boiled ox knee, and yes, there’s bundegi (silkworm pupa)." - Nadia Chaudhury

The salad is good. The atmosphere feels like a truck store rest stop. I suppose that’s fine because the food was good. It’s a bit hard to find if you don’t use a GPS. One that that was (slightly) annoying was they claimed to offer 4% savings if you pay cash, but it turns out the prices listed ARE the cash savings, and if you pay with a credit card; you pay MORE. I feel they could have explained this better. The salads we got were good, although no better or worse than many other salad restaurants. Overall I enjoyed it, but nothing wow’d me.

Google
I'm from out of town. The first time there was a very friendly place. If confused or had questions, they were very happy to help and assist you with ordering. The salmon salad and the.cobb salad were good and well portioned. Loved the place and recommend it for its good tasting food and would definitely go there on my next trip here to Austin

Google
Salas we're good and toppings were fresh. My only complaint is that the staff did not ask if we had any questions or needed assistance choosing our food. They both just stared at us for 10 minutes until we made up our mind on what to order. When I asked for the club salad, the guy started making the salad and when I said I wanted salmon he took everything off the salad and said that it was a different salad. I wanted the same salad but with salmon I don't think he understood that. Also, just a heads up the salmon is not prepared fresh. That's the other worker cut it out of a plastic pouch. Also, I was charged extra for my protein even though I ordered a salad with protein on it. I feel the salmon should have been allowed as a sub for protein, or at least a dollar or two more-- not $6. Also, my husband got Falafel and it was gross. No seasoning and it was dry. Overall, I was okay. There could be more dressing selection and the chicken was tough and hard :( $65 for three salads were insane!

Google
I don't live in Austin, I was visiting. I went to this place to get a salad. When I saw the Chipotle Chicken plate, I changed my mind and ordered it. I'm so glad I did. Man, this dish is absolutely amazing!!! I actually drempt about it days later. So, of course, I went back and ordered the same thing, not to be disappointed. Don't take my word. Try it for yourself.

Google
It was an amazing experience that I had in 2N1 Salad, It has multiple ranges of healthy food and even has different foods for those who do not want something healthy like the Panini they gave me. All and all, my family and I enjoyed this food and we have recommended it to others

Google
Fresh and varied salad choices. The server makes the salad in front of you using your choices. I chose the Cobb salad with chicken. Eggs , chicken, and the avocado were all cooked and prepared on premise. Sure beats fast food salads. They. also have burgers and other sandwiches... maybe next time. The location is hidden, but it is there.

Google
Great spot to get your salad on. Tried the gyro salad and it was delicious. Menu of other dishes looks fantastic as well.

Yelp
I love this place!! Wraps, Salads! perfect for a fresh and healthy lunch!! The portions are huge and for an affordable price.

Yelp
I order through Uber Eats. It is easy to build your own salad. I usually get a small size and it last me two days. All of the ingredients are fresh. The choices and salad xombina are endless. I highly recommend this place for salads because of the portion sizes and good value. The ranch dressing is so tasty. If you want to build you a amazing salad, this is your place. You get to treat your pallette how you want to vs someone just throwing you a salad.

Yelp
The menu here is HUGE! Like overwhelmingly big. There are also daily specials that are posted next to the cash register, don't forget to look at those before ordering! Both times I went I got one of the daily specials. I had the soup and salad my first visit. There were plenty of options for the salad. Personally, I think they were a little tight with protein. However, it was a filling salad. The soup was served hot. The second time I had the gyro and fries. These are the type of fries I crave all the time. They were delicious. The gyro had all the right flavors. Again, a little more meat would've been great, but it was still filling. The service was friendly and quick. This place is hidden and connected to a thrift store. There is a lot of seating and very high ceilings. There is plenty of parking in the lot. Honestly, the menu is so big that I'm sure I'll drop by again and try something completely different (probably a philly cheese steak).

Yelp
The ambiance is definitely not great - seemed like most of the people who came in ordered to go. The restaurant is located and connected to a thrift shop... kinda dirty and sus vibes but the food is a different story. You go in and you order at the counter. The girl who took our order was super nice and friendly! This place has more than just salads, they have hot foods too! Such a great menu - you can come with multiple people and some can get salad and others can get fries and a sandwich.. or pasta! Food - we got a chicken caesar and chipotle shrimp salad with a large side of chips and guac. Amazing quality and portion side for the price. If you're looking for a quick eat and don't care about the ambiance, this is a good spot to eat at.

Yelp
Really hidden and by looks I was a little worried when I walked in. But the lady upfront was super sweet and the food was pretty fresh overall. I would say some of the lettuce needs some refreshing so I went for the mixed greens. The value for the dollar is pretty good. I got a large and loaded the heck out of my salad. The not so great value I would say is the meat or some of the grains..4.5 for quinoa is a bit wild for the portion. Same with the chicken which was 6. And artichoke was 2.. I'm not sure how they priced those out compared to the salad.
google avatar

Yelp
We tried this place for the first time yesterday afternoon! I loved how customizable the wraps and salad were. We all had wraps and really enjoyed them. I want to come back again and try more options! Great experience.

Yelp
I miss the olden days of salad bar restaurants, Fresh Choice, and Sweet Tomatoes, which have all gone out of business. I'm glad 2N1 Salad Bar is a decent alternative. Their prices were reasonable, and portions were large. I paid $9.99 for a chicken Caesar salad with no croutons. They didn't skimp on protein either. I do, however, prefer the Caesar salad dressing at Whole Foods and Bartlett's.
google avatar

Yelp
Tried the Jamaican chicken Alfredo, was spicy good but was almost $16 for very little food- no side salad or anything but a slice of bread. About 2 tablespoons of cubed chicken. Ok but nothing fancy. Note: the owner of this place intentionally doesn't have a menu or prices posted that you can see easily.

Yelp
I had been driving around all day and had been starting to feel it and wanted a healthier option. I was unsure of what it would be like since it was in a nondescript strip mall next to a thrift store. I walked in and it was quiet which also made me a little nervous but I saw that they had a build your own salad option and I went to work setting up what my perfect salad. I went with the large option and basically filled it with almost everything. There are definitely some options where there's an upcharge but besides those listed and others are anyone's guess. Despite that uncertainty the price was good for what I got: a huge bowl of greens and veggies with chicken. I'm not in the area anymore but if I was I would definitely stop by for lunch.
google avatar

Keith R.

Yelp
WOW FACTOR? None. HAVE AGAIN: Blackened salmon salad was very good and enough for two of us. Good service. NOT HAVE AGAIN: Chicken soup was too spicy for my lunch partner.

Yelp
I happened to see this on Yelp and decided to give it a try. I wanted something that was warm, not too expensive, and healthy-feeling. I saw that they had specials every day and the special for today was tilapia. When I pulled to the parking lot, the outside does not seem very inviting. In fact, I almost didn't go near because the windows look dark and I thought the restaurant was out of business. However, I went up to the door. To my surprise, there is a spacious room with many tables. Each table has a lot of napkins too. The downside is that there is a buzzing sound inside, so sitting inside is not as relaxing as it could be. I went to the counter and got the tilapia special to-go. It took a couple minutes and I could feel the food was fresh. To be honest, the food doesn't look appealing in the to-go box, but it was really warm and filling. I liked the spices on the rice and tilapia. The carrots were beautifully cut and the broccoli was nicely steamed. The meal also comes with ice tea (they have both sweet and unsweetened but I got sweet) and there is a strong tea taste. You will definitely stay awake after that haha. I like it! Don't let the outside or the food's appearance fool you! The food was yummy and this place is like a hidden gem. I hope more people get to try it!
google avatar

Dolly N.

Yelp
Very tasty place with really good portions. I got the blackened salmon salad. I'd say I definitely got my moneys worth and I got to try a combination that I wouldn't have typically ordered myself. I have to try to come here again! It's a bit hard to find unless you already knew about it. It's in the same lot as the thrift store on the far right.
google avatar

Yelp
2N1 Salad bar is AWESOME!!!!!! Don't be fooled, they have more than just salads! Husband and I got their Gyro Pita and its HUGE! Make sure when you order Gyro you say Pita because if not they'll order you their Gyro Salad lol My in laws loved their chowder. Small size chowder is HUGE! Their Philly cheesesteak is super good too. It comes with a side order of french fries. Overall 10/10 recommend this place if you're looking for a place to grab lunch! Their Mexican cola is reallllly good too! Don't knock it til you try it. The best part is after you eat, you can go thrifting right after - since there's a small thrift store right next door! Kill two birds with one stone! :D They have SOOOO much options on their menu! We will def be back to try other stuff they have to offer
google avatar

Yelp
The blackened salmon salad is sooooo good 10/10!!!!!!!! It gives exactly what it's supposed to.

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem. Staff/Employees are very sweet and polite. Food is amazing! Highly recommended!

Yelp
Very tasty salad bar that's hidden in Austin! Loved the selection, the freshness and simplicity of 2N1. The staff was very engaging, the service was quick and simple and the ambiance was SUPER casual! I'm a health freak when I travel, so I'll be back!
google avatar

Wendy K.

Yelp
I really liked the service. The salad bar was so huge. I had not eaten all day , so I over ordered. I didn't care for the seasoned gyro meat but loved the Shrimp. The food was delicious but next time I will get something else. The cucumber water was delicious.
google avatar

Tania S.

Yelp
If you want a GOOD FRESH SALAD that is filling and doesn't makes you feel like you spent money on a couple of sad pieces of lettuce with 2 croutons, go here! Get the salmon salad. Just get it and that delicious spinach blue cheese dressing. It's delicious!

Lisa M.

Yelp
Great little place w really fresh food at decent prices! Don't go for ambiance but the food will bring you back. Glad we found this place!
google avatar

Maria K.

Yelp
This is a nice salad bar plus sandwich shop. I really like the salads to go. It's a nice selection of salad veggies.
google avatar

Dorris W.

Yelp
I know, I know...this place looks like a hole in the wall with it being in a random strip mall on a random road, but honestly their food is really good. Also it's inexpensive! They have preset menu items and you can easily customize your own salad. I got the chipotle chicken platter and blackened salmon salad. The salad was good, it was one of their preset salads. The chipotle chicken platter, however, was really flavorful and delicious. It's creamy and just packed with flavors! It's a dish I would keep getting again on repeat.
google avatar

Yelp
I don't know why there's no hype for this place, because it deserves every bit of it. The salads here are so SO good. The sheer options they have for everything that could go in a salad. Makes eating salads soo much more interesting and fun. The sauces they have are just so refreshing and different. I love that they have so many choices. The service is exceptionally good too. They give you a good quantity of food and priced so very reasonably too. The chicken soup we got was so good too. I bet the other Mexican food they've got is great too. This is now my favourite salad bar. Dine in is pretty quiet and nice too.

Yelp
Had a guest in from out of town that I had to run to the airport. With a day of flying ahead, salad sounded good. We stopped in at 2N1 and were pleasantly surprised. The salad was fresh, served in an enormous portion, and the house-made dressing was really well balanced. I ordered a cheese steak, which was delicious, made fresh to order, and a bargain at $9. The fries I ordered as a side were the real star. Freshly fried, crunchy, pillowy soft interior, great potato flavor. Best fries I've had in a long time, and again very well priced.

Yelp
My husband and I went to Austin for a small getaway to celebrate our 5th year anniversary and we have already eaten at several restaurants that had good ratings on Yelp, but my husband was NOT impressed by any of them. Anyway, we just finished exploring Pioneer Farms. We were tired from the walk and extreme heat so we wanted something light and healthy. As we were driving, I was looking on Yelp and made an impulse decision to go here and I made it at the right time because we were approaching the exit! The name, logo, location, and interior design doesn't seem like it would match the great reviews this place has received. The restaurant has a cafeteria/food court type vibe. I was thinking - oh great, my husband probably won't like this place either. HOWEVER, we both LOVED this place! We typically NEVER order salads at restaurants because we just feel like they're overpriced and simple, but we were in love with our selections. He had the blackened salmon salad and I had the chipotle shrimp salad. They were both huge in portions and the presentation was beautiful. They are definitely consistent with their portions from when they first opened (looking at old pictures - I hate it when restaurants change their portions over time). The ingredients were FRESH - nothing looked wilted and the avocados were literally perfect. The price was worth it to us because there were a lot of ingredients in the salad, instead of just lettuce and a few carrots and cabbages thrown in there. We loved that the meal was light and refreshing, but we also felt full afterwards. We were also happy with the kids meal. We got our son a quesadilla, Capri sun, and fruits. The fruits were delicious and very fresh. I was impressed because usually we would just get a banana or apple slices with kid's meals. All in all, we were very happy that we stopped here. The menu looks fantastic because there is something for everyone! If you want to eat healthy, you have options and if you're looking for something more heavy, you also have plenty of options. The employees were also super nice and the service was fast! You definitely have to try this place. Next time you think of eating at Jason's Deli or Subway, just give this place a try instead. You will be thoroughly impressed and best of all, you will be supporting a local business! (: PS. My husband loved the salmon salad so much that he requested that I try to make him the exact salad for lunch every day.

Yelp
Staying in town for work and was craving something healthy but filling. Had the Greek salad with chipotle chicken and was exactly that. Huge portion and the salad smelled and tasted incredibly fresh. Recommend if you're staying in Domain area.
google avatar

Rello R.

Yelp
They have a bunch of options for your salad. It felt like a chipotle for salad. Any and everything you could think of for your salad is here. I kept it pretty basic but it was good. Gave me what I needed. They have jarritos too! I would go and they accepted my Yelp coupon that was a plus.
google avatar

Daniela R.

Yelp
I absolutely love love love this place. It's legitimately a place I can never say "no" to. This time I got their veggie panini, pasta salad, and tomato basil soup. I called ahead and ordered when I left a nearby gym and when I got there a few minutes later it was ready. And they accidentally gave me a second pasta salad and that made my entire week. I've gotten their cheesesteaks, wraps, and salads and I've always liked everything. I will forever go to this place.
google avatar

Angela M.

Yelp
This place gives you such huge portions and everything was really fresh and delicious. My daughter said she wanted a nice salad of course she completely lied to me and then switched her mind and said she wanted mac & cheese so then I ended up with a large salad which is fine. They are located in a weird place though in the corner of the shopping plaza that might seem a little sketchy but it was fine when we went in. They have a lot of different options to customize your salad and also other cooked items on the menu. I thought everything was really cheap for the quality of things that we got.
google avatar

Tamara S.

Yelp
My Fav!!! I travel to Austin for work frequently and I can never leave Austin without going to 2N1. LOVE the salad bar, so many options and everything is sooo fresh.
google avatar

Yelp
Plenty of parking. Walk in and order from the menu above. Wait for your food and pick up at counter. We got a beef cheesesteak with peppers, cheese, mushrooms and a side of fries(extra$) Hubby and I split the sammich and weren't too impressed. The meat didn't have any seasoning or flavor. Had to add ketchup. Seemed like they didn't open the bread all the way, because there was no meat at the bottom and the bread was super soft. Worth a try

Todd B.

Yelp
Awesome salad for sure. The freshness you can taste. Too bad I live in California, I would be here weekly. Great job to the two ladies behind the counter

Rachel N.

Yelp
I have only gotten the blackened salmon salad and it's arguably the best salad I've ever eaten. I get it all the time during lunch at work. I add jalapeño ranch dressing in addition to the cilantro line dressing and remove the walnuts. It's is AMAZING!!! I could literally eat this every single day. And they give you so much also. Definitely need to try it.
google avatar

Claudia E.

Yelp
Great fresh salad options! It's a hidden gem. We tried a Philly Cheese Steak and small salad. Small is huge!
google avatar

Sarah R.

Yelp
Doesn't look like much but the food is delicious! Decently priced, a good amount of seating, and fast service. Definitely worth checking out! I got the build your own wrap with just their chicken Caesar salad rolled into a spinach tortilla, delicious!
google avatar

Stephanie A.

Yelp
I have ordered here from Lunch Drop a couple times and will give a rating on the average of these times. Today I ordered: Chicken Tortilla Soup w/o corn. Its more of a tomato based broth with huge chunks of tomatoes and diced chicken that did not have the best texture. The oddest thing about this soup, there were no tortilla strips in it so I don't think the name Chicken Tortilla Soup adequately names it, should just be Chicken and Vegetable soup. Also, I ordered the cheese to go with this soup as an option to do so, just no corn and there was not a drop of cheese to be found in the soup or my bag. Gyro Pita: Its huge for the price but the quality is meh. There is no acidity in it like you would get with the tomato/cucumber/onion mix. It comes with sliced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, gyro meat, and Tzatziki sauce. I requested extra Tzatziki on the side as I usually love a bit extra and they did this for me. However, this is the most bland gyro pita I have ever eaten in my life. The Tzatziki sauce is basically non flavored yogurt with no seasoning or not enough. The gyro meat is bland and not much there although its moist and not dried out. Over all, not impressed - think I will take it home to my son to eat - he eats everything. Previously I have ordered: Salad: I ordered turkey and was sad to see sliced low grade quality turkey lunch meat on my salad. The eggs are chopped and not sliced. Other than that, I did like it. I had the Chipotle Ranch and enjoyed this a lot, very flavorful. Just wished they give you a bit more than one lil cup for the size of even the small salad. My hubby says their hamburgers are amazing so if I order from here again, I will try one. Pros: Chipotle Ranch dressing Salad choices Cons: Diced Eggs Gyro Tzatziki Sauce
google avatar

Seema P.

Yelp
I ordered takeout from here and they were quick and easy. The menu is straightforward and you have plenty of options for salads and wraps. I got the greek salad with chicken. The portions are big! The salad was just right. I also got a beef fajita wrap which basically lasted for lunch and dinner. Well worth it! The chipotle flavored sauce that comes with the wrap was excellent.
google avatar

Yelp
I needed something light, so I wanted a Salad. I saw this 2N1 Salad Bar and Grill and I thought let's give it a try. Salad is pretty basic...hard to screw it up, so my expectations were pretty basic. Expectations exceeded beyond belief. I built out a salad with a myriad of ingredients. Everyone of the ingredients was extraordinarily fresh...like the ingredients were picked this morning, chilled and put into my salad this afternoon. The croutons had of been freshly baked. The egg tasted like it was freshly made...are you seeing a pattern? Even the dressing was superb...simply amazing. Literally, this is the best salad I have ever had...even better than what I make for myself. 2N1 Salad Bar and Grill team...thank you so very much. You are now my go to when I order food for lunch! And sorry I didn't take a pic...I ate the whole salad before I could think of reaching for my camera!

Yelp
Can't recommend this place enough. The dining area is spacious, well lit and clean. There is always a lot of available seating whenever I go. The salads are expertly prepared. They have it down to a science. Really inspired me to get my own metal bowl and tongs. My favorite salad is the Cobb, but the blackened salmon salad is also great. I am a fan of the cilantro dressing. The custom salads are cheap and really large! They have a lot of available ingredients and they've been fresh every time I go. I can tell that the staff really care about the food that they are putting out. That dedication really translates to the quality of the final product. I've only ever had the salads, but they have an extensive menu. Based on the meals I've had here thus far, I'm pretty confident that their other offerings (wraps, paninis, cheesesteaks, burgers) are probably legit as well. If you're in North Austin and you want a large, tasty, affordable and fresh salad, definitely stop in here.

James M.

Yelp
Maybe just a poor. Notice on our part looking for something light didn't want a big salad. We elected to split a Philly cheese steak and order of fries. Might have been ok but little meat on sandwich, bread fresh but soggy. Fries were greasy, not crisp. Overall I would have give them a 2 but the people were nice. Should have been a sign no one there at dinner time.
google avatar

Jenni C.

Yelp
For coming in an hour before closing, we were treated very well and enjoyed the extensive fresh options! It's a simple no frills atmosphere but worth it for a salad craving. One person had the sirloin option and it was done nicely. The two people that added salmon to their salad were highly impressed. Overall, we were pleased as out of state visitors wanting a late healthy supper.
google avatar

Mariam P.

Yelp
AMAZING! My fav salad restaurant in Austin! I wish so badly there was one in California. I did a BYO large salad and added so many toppings. It was SO DELICIOUS! They have even more toppings in store than listed on their online order form (like blueberries and edamame!) my friend got the gyro salad and he also really liked that one. pictures added*! It's worth it to get the large since it's only $1 more than the small. The woman who works there is also so adorable and nice! She came up to us while eating to offer a punch in card, but realized we were from out of town so it wouldn't be used :(

Samantha D.

Yelp
I don't know how my husband and I have overlooked this place for so long. Especially since we live so close. I got the Cobb salad with a few modifications and he got the pesto chicken panini with pasta. Both were tasty and I think it's safe to say we will be back to try more options.
google avatar

Frank M.

Yelp
Heatly food, recommend, great price, delicious food. Good customer service, a bit hot inside but it us summer. Overall is good.

Mickey S.

Yelp
Finally found a fresh clean friendly salad place. The salad was amazing. The cheesesteak was scrumptious. The French fries were even good for a change and I think that's because they use fresh oil. A lot of places around here when I get my order, the smell is awful because the oil is old. This will be my forever go to place
google avatar

Yelp
My favorite place I've found all year. This is literally a hidden gem. Tucked away in the Southwest corner of a shopping center but connected to a thrift store!! Need I say more? I will. They have amongst the freshest ingredients I've tasted at any restaurant in Austin with an even better selection. On one side of the menu, you'll find an array of hot food options like Philly Cheesesteak, Soups, Pastas... On the other side, you will find anything cold such as salads, wraps, and more. The menu is one that you'd expect at a Full Service restaurant. I have been here three times within the past month and I don't think I am slowing down. The restaurant is always extremely clean, Covid-cognizant and are extremely kind with service. Each time I have been here, I haven't waited over 5 minutes for my order. I have ordered the Chicken Philly, the Jamaican Chicken Sandwich, and most recently the Jamaican Pasta. Oh and the Shrimp Chipotle Salad. Gosh that salad! Okay but the pasta - When I tell you this pasta is better than many 4 star Italian restaurants in town. YOU MUST TRY THIS PLACE. If you have an hour or so get up, get out, and grab a bite and take a stroll through the thrift store that is connected. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.
google avatar

Bob F.

Yelp
Overall great spot! Came with a coworker & he wasn't sure exactly where I had brought him, but he enjoyed it & I thought the salad was really good. Will for sure be back when I'm in the area at lunch time and want something on the lighter & healthier side.
google avatar

Devynne B.

Yelp
The food is completely underwhelming. I had a Caesar salad that had dried out chicken and was sopping wet with dressing. They put onions on my husband's Philly cheesesteak when he asked for them to be left off. My son normally loves salad bars and devours salads like they're going to disappear if he doesn't eat them fast enough, but hardly touched his small salad. The dining area also looks dirty and has fly traps hanging on the windows. And the staff seem more interested in chatting with each other than helping customers. Will not be coming back when there are better options at other salad bars.
google avatar

Yelp
I'm visiting Austin for a week and was driving around the city to get some lumchnamd wanted a salad and decided to try 2in1. The 0pace is next to the Thrift Store. There is seating for about 50 people or so. You can build your own salad or order one. I decided in the black salmon salad which was $14. It took about 10 min or so for my order. The salad come in a big silver bowl I was shocked by the size of it. The contained walnuts, cranberries, red and green cabbage and a delicious dressing. I sat there for 40 minutes eating my salad because I wanted to eat the majority of it and not get it to go. It was delicious!

Yelp
My husband and I order delivery from here at least once a month and we are always happy with the food. I've gotten gyro, salad and a wrap and they've all beef great!
