Yelp
2Toms brews all my favorite styles of beer...sours, saisons, hazy/juicy IPAs, and stouts. No undeserving lagers, wheats, or red ales take the place of the more interesting, creative styles. It was fantastic to find a draft list that didn't have a single dud on it. When visiting, we tasted two (2) different hazy IPAs, the lush mango milkshake IPA, the delicious coconut Oat Splitter stout (coconut, chocolate, and coffee), and the refreshing hibiscus-guava sour wild ale...which we all ranked 4.0 or higher on Untapped. As these styles tend to have a higher ABV, I recommend ordering your beer in the smaller 6oz size...plus, you get to try more varieties!
From the exterior, 2Toms Brewing looked to be a so-so chain mall space in a nondescript industrial corridor. But wow, when you enter, you'll be pleasantly surprised by the bigger-on-the-inside, updated interior with modern finishes, concrete floors, and plenty of varied seating options for visitors. There was a neat corner with couches and a large selection of board games, for the gaming-inclined. The Talking Heads and Tame Impala played overhead while we sampled our choices. King Arthur's catering offers a limited menu of baked pretzels and various burgers, but the food offerings are much better than many breweries I've visited (i.e. Hot Pockets and stale chips). Kids appeared to be welcome, which could be a pro or con, depending on where your loyalties lie. Order at the bar; the bartender was friendly and open to questions about the beers' differences in taste/ABV/etc.
2Toms is now my favorite Fort Wayne brewery; it's not often I see a brewery that caters to all my favorite craft beer styles. Visit 2Toms and try something different than your typical order; you won't be disappointed. I can't wait to visit next time I'm in Fort Wayne, to see what sours are available. Hopefully, 2Toms will be participating in the Indiana Brewers Guild state-wide beer fests to save me a drive.
