I came to the LES location of 3 Times because I had a gift card from an Instagram contest. The space is clean and spacious, and there was no wait time to walk-in. In regards to food, we ordered the following for lunch: Soup dumplings: chewy thick skin Dan dan noodles with minced pork: generally bland, only flavor was chili oil, barely any pork Crunchy pickled persian cucumbers with garlic sauce: only decent dish of our meal Snow pea sprouts and shrimp dumplings (chiu chow dumplings): steamed too long so the skin was soggy, fishy tasting filling We also had a bizarre experience with service. We had ordered pork soup dumplings and the server brought us crab soup dumplings by mistake. When we noted the error, we opted to keep the order to avoid any hassle, to which he responded “these are better any way,” and made no attempt to just charge us for the original pork dumplings ($2 cheaper). They also didn’t know what to do with the gift card, and had me place a duplicate to-go order on their website to pay, which just felt very unprofessional. I would recommend just walking a few more blocks over to Chinatown and getting dim sum/lunch elsewhere.

The decor of 3 Times is simple and the ambiance is cozy. The staff was friendly but too aggressive for us. We ordered 7 dishes for a group of four and we thought it's more than enough. However, she kept recommending us to order more and more. We felt pressured and ended up packing leftover home. Their food was overall delicious and authentic especially the Beef Brisket Stew w/ Potato ($26) and Sautéed Shrimp w/ Salted Egg Yolk ($27). The brisket was well braised, so flavorful and tender. The salted egg yolk sauce was creamy, rich and perfect with fried shrimp. However, we might be hesitant to visit again due to their service or we will consider doing a take out order if we are craving for their food.

The food was delicious! The service was great! And the pork moon cakes are a must! The moon cakes takes awhile to make but the wait is worth the freshness, everything else was served in a timely manner.. I recommend.. manager and staff was really nice and delightful!! I’ll definitely come back

This spot current says temporarily closed but we ate here 2 weeks ago without issue (March 2023). It’s definitely less authentic vibes than some other china town dumpling spots but we realllyyy like the soup dumplings. Tasted fresh and delicious. Nothing to complain about and seemed reasonable price wise!

I like the environment of the restaurant, it’s cleaner than others. And the foods are delicious and good-look. The soup dumplings have a very nice soup in it, that’s my first time eating this style food in NYC. It likes an amazing trip in you tongue. If you want to try a very traditional Chinese food in NYC, I think that is a good start. Then, I will try more flavors dumplings in there.

Farabe and I came here for a quick lunch after a day of shopping and walking around. When we arrived there was no one at the front desk so, we had to wait a few minutes before someone came to assist us. I ordered the chicken hand pull stir fried noodles and it was super delicious. I asked for extra soy sauce and hot oil for zing. I wiped my entire plate clean. The service was friendly and he did come around a few times to check-in on us. The bathrooms were clean-ish.

Fairly solid soup dumpling and dim sum spot. New in the area (although there’s another in Times Square?). Decent prices, good vegetarian options. Not the best but clean and the staff is friendly and would visit again.

Have wanted to try 3 Times for a while, every time we drove by. Finally had the chance last Saturday. Staff was friendly and efficient at taking orders. The dishes are delicious. Ordered Thousand Year Egg, Spicy wings, Pepper Fish and Luo Han Tsai. Since we were taking out, we didn't order XLB b/c they need to be eat freshly served. We will try the XLB next time. Glad we tried and will repeat.

Good classic taiwanese food staples had the pork soup dumplings. They were well tightly wrapped with the perfect amount of folds with seasoned soup and the perfect size of pork meat. I also had the spicy chilli oil wantons the chilli. oil was thick flavorful and had a great smack of flavor with a numblingly good spice with strong peppercorn flavor. The skin was chewy but not overly thick Small but comfy ambiance.

1/1 Ambience; 1.5/2 Food; 0/1 Service; 0.5/1 Value My friend and I stumbled in after discovering 3Times on the Seated app on a Friday evening. The restaurant is brightly lit, modern, hygienic and inviting. We shared the chicken wonton soup, the beef stuffed pancake, the la-zi chicken, and the chicken fried noodles between the two of us. We mostly enjoyed the food, and the variety worked out for us in that the bold and spicy flavors of some items were balanced by the warm mildness of others, e.g. the la-zi chicken versus wonton soup. The stand out for the two of us was certainly the la-zi chicken: the chicken was spicy, and the intense, dry heat packed the perfect punch we were looking for. However, if you cannot handle spice, this is not ideal to get, or at least avoid the red chilis with the chicken and rice. One thing we did not like was the greasiness of the noodles and the beef pancake, however. While this was a satisfying dinner, we found that this certainly ran steeper relative to the portion sizes in an area where there are many dim sum options with competitive pricing. Where we were really disappointed is when we found out they overcharged the original tip we left. The service was fine, i.e. quick and efficient, but it feels deceptive and disrespectful to patrons to overcharge credit cards after patrons leave. The only reason we noticed was because we took pics of the receipts with tip amounts that we filled out as we intended to upload them to the Seated app. Otherwise, we would not have noticed them up charging above the original tip.

The place is nice, yet super casual. You order what you want at the front and serve yourself water. However, because of this and the somewhat mediocre food, I don't think it's worth the price. The dan dan noodles were reasonably sized, but I felt like they were lacking in flavor. They were basically just spicy noodles--I wish it had more to it than that. We also got chicken soup dumplings, pan fried pork dumplings, and the thousand year egg with chili sauce, which were all pretty much what we expected. The pan fried dumplings definitely could've been crispier though. For all of these four things, it came out to about $50.

So rude!!! They took my order over the phone and then forgot half of the items. I was already home before I discovered the missing items and called in again for them to add them. 15 minutes later they still were not ready and all of my original items were now cold and useless. There was not apology or acknowledgement of their mistake. Soup dumplings are not meant to be eaten cold and my $85 dinner was a disaster.

3 stars for 3 times ‍ Overall the ambiance isn't bad, but probably won't come back for the food. We ordered: - Pan fried buns (3/5): These didn't have much soup inside, and had a more pillowy bready exterior. I thought the bottoms could've been more fried, but the overall the flavor just tasted oily. - Pork XLB (3/5): You can tell these are frozen and not handmade based on how easily the skin rips and the uniformity. Flavor not bad though. - Cucumber salad (4/5): This was more like pickles, not fresh cucumber salad. Not what I was expecting but very tasty! - Shanghai spring rolls (4.5/5): I liked these! You can't find these easily, but oddly enough it was served with chili sauce and not vinegar like it's supposed to be? The waiter didn't bring out any vinegar or dipping sauce with anything until we asked, and gave us black vinegar (not rice vinegar). I think that the prices are really reasonable though, so could be a good cheap spot.

Came here late at like around 11 and was told they only offer take out. The server said we could eat inside but it's just take out boxes which was alright. Overall the place is pretty casual. They have a variety of options tho from Taiwanese food to dim sum to Shanghainese food. Good place to come to expose to Asian cuisine. Although there are a lot of options, food itself was okay, not much soup in the baos. Flavor is okay.

Came back for our second visit and was a bit disappointed in their Xiao Long Bao. The skin was too thick and the filling was dry. Not sure what happened since they were really good the first time we came. Their Sheng Jian Bao was still the best thing we had. The Hong Kong fried rice was really nice with bits of crispy rice. The sautéed green beans were nice and crispy and flavorful as well. The shiu mai was nice and hefty. Overall, great food, but quite highly priced for what you get!

I've been here many times for dine in and take out. Unfortunately, it is apparent that it's no longer the same chef based on the food pics I posted. Hot and sour soup was just ok. I was scared to eat the spicy cucumbers. It looks like it's been pickled and stored in a fridge for awhile. It's definitely not freshly cut and marinated. What happened to the Shanghai fried noodles!!! It was plain! I know everything is more costly due to inflation but there was no mushroom, broccoli or red onions. I order it many times and it always came with it. I went back to check the yelp pics and nothing matched what we ate today. Im very disappointed. There is a reason why we were the only table there during dinner time tonight. I really hope I went on an off day. I'm not sure if we will return because my husband was more disappointed than I was!

Tried out this dim sum spot in LES for the first time recently and overall enjoyed my experience, came in around 6:30 on a Friday night and it was empty but more people trickled in throughout the time I ate. The inside is more spacious and modern than you'd expect from a "typical" dim sum spot (think crowded dim sum carts -- which of course has its own charm but this won't be that!) We ordered a number of items which included a cold cucumber appetizer, scallion pancake, beef & tripe in chili oil, stir fried rice cake with pork and mustard greens, and truffle soup dumplings (xiao long bao). Overall, the restaurant hits on all the classics as you'd expect them to taste. My favorite was for sure the beef & tripe in chili oil. Also had to knock a star because the table I was sitting at while clean and spacious had a good amount of flies/gnats around when the food came out and it was hard to avoid them!

I went to 3 Times and I gotta say if you like dim sum, go here!! They had some yummy Chinese food! Nice outdoor area too! We shared Shrimp Dumplings Crispy Duck Chicken Su Mai Pork Soup Dumplings Dan Dan Noodles Everything was so good and I felt full after the meal.

Update: I went back to 3 Times the next day (I was coincidentally in the area), and Paul was so nice! He instantly remembered me and my beef and broccoli lol, and he got it prepared as soon as he could. In addition, I got white rice, and this yummy jar of seasoning to go along with my beef and broccoli. The beef and broccoli was much better than the previous two dishes. It was tender and saucy, though still pricy compared to your average Chinese takeout beef and broccoli. The service here is amazing, though!

This is my favorite 3 Times location, and it's open the latest! A really awesome spot for their soup dumplings alone - the pork classic is always my go to. They come with 6 plump dumplings an order for about $9. My favorite dishes to order with it are the pan fried pork buns 4 for about $11 and sometimes the dan dan noodles. The dan dan noodles definitely need some quality control because each time I order it it comes out different (sometimes saltier, sometimes soggy) but the first time I had it it was so good. $11 I always love the soup dumplings!

I was checking out places to eat for lunch on the entire Clinton Street and only found this and another worth going to. I found out this is closer to Delancey. The menu looks good. But I just wanted A quick bite. I had the crab and pork soupy bun (xia-long-bao) and cold steamed Duck. The soupy bun was very good although it seemed to be more pork. The cold duck is unusual. It was more like an appetizer. Place looks clean.

I've been here twice and have been surprised by how empty the dining room is because the food is REALLY good? (Although my brother says it is much busier on weekend evenings, and we see a LOT of delivery folks picking up food so the kitchen remains busy even if the dining room isn't.) 3 Times first landed on our radar about a year ago because it was being touted as one of the best soup dumpling spots in the city, a huge claim for this city! We came back this summer because we needed a place to eat with nice outdoor seating and surprisingly they had added some very lovely tables outside since our first visit, big vibes with lights and all. I will admit that both times, I didn't expect much of the food and both times, I was like wow why is the food gone I want to eat more of it?? + Soup dumplings (xiaolongbao) are really good, definitely deserve to be shouted out as standouts for the delicious broth. The pork ones and the crab ones are both solid XLB + Shanghai fried noodles are such a satisfyingly thick noodle with an incredibly delicious sauce? This wound up being my favorite item and I ordered it our second visit even though we already ordered enough food without them, I just wouldn't leave without having them. So tasty, I always wish there were more! + Scallion pancake wrapped w/ beef is another simple dish done really well, the flavors and textures are a great balance + The veggies here are also done well, they're seasoned nicely and disappear quick, always a good sign! Honestly, I wasn't sure what to expect from 3 Times but they exceeded my expectations. They got my mom's seal of approval from China and I'll definitely be back, if not here then to one of their other locations.

3Times has a hit on it's hands. I truly enjoyed my dining experience overall. Honestly, it can be a bit of a challenge finding great places that stay open late and still deliver exceptional service and food after hours. I believe, I've officially found one such place. The first thing I noticed about 3Times is how bright the restaurant is, I love that. It was almost as if the restaurant was saying, ha ... come on in, we have nothing to hide and everything to offer. I would agree. As I mentioned, my first dining experience was fantastic. I enjoyed some pork soup dumplings and a plate of spicy shredded pork with a side of rice. I know right - starch heaven! It was freaking good tho. The staff was very friendly and added a bit of fun to the overall experience. The good thing is that it's right down the block from Regal theater and so I definitely know who is going to get my after movie dinner moolah!

Okay, what happened? Maybe it was covid or maybe they changed chefs, but given I haven't been back physically, I did do an order of one of their dishes through an Asian grocery delivery app and I don't remember it being off. They are no longer using the nice paper composable napkins and the restroom is decent, but it wasn't Jesus clean anymore. I wanted to go eat Vietnamese, but didn't realize that restaurant has different operating hours on certain days and the other place I wanted to go to also only opened for dinner. I decided to come here because I remember this place being clean and had good food. I dared to order the scallion pancakes again, because I believed when the owner commented on my review that he was going to talk to the chef regarding the few sprinkles of scallions in the scallion pancakes. Well he must have said DON'T include scallions at all in these scallion pancakes because guess what? THERE WERE NON EXISTENCE. Did covid hurt their scallion vendor, nopes - I found scallions as a garnish on the wonton with chili oil. I am SUPER disappointed in these pancakes. Even if they had scallions, these pancakes had absolute no chew at all. It was just crispiness/flakiness and I don't mean it in a good way. Scallion pancakes should have a 1. Scallions. 2. Good Chew. I checked in here and saw I got a free milk tea, nopes - they no longer have anything like this besides soda. I didn't try this because I am not into Shanghai Pan Fried Pork Buns - the filling didn't look great and A just tried one and was like these aren't great and also agreed regarding the filliings. Fried Dumplings - the dough is so thick and filling looked exactly liked the pan fried pork buns. OMG, how can you mess up dumplings when this is an Asian establishment? This didn't taste like it was before. Soup Dumplings - pork and shrimp. The shrimp tasted and looked sad. The dough wasn't delicate anymore. Wonton with Chili Oil - the only thing that was good here. Also, the only waiter here didn't wear his mask properly, if I can see your nose then you're obviously not wearing it right. Or if you go on a smoking break and come back missing your mask.....why bother? There were also crackheads sitting in their outdoor seating area drugged out. I am beyond disappointed I wasted my lunch here. I should have gone somewhere else. I could have gotten bad Asian food near me.

We came with a big group to get dim sum for dinner! Thankfully they were able to accommodate our large group even though there was a bit of a wait while they had to push tables together. The food came out so quickly and the price was very reasonable!

Very solid dim sum restaurant. I love the decor here-- very tasteful and elegant, and their outdoor seating is also set up well. Dim sum is good but nothing too noteworthy. Soup dumplings tasted fresh and had a ton of soup inside, and the skin was the perfect thickness. Service was pretty attentive. However I can't say that anything was too memorable to me.

Everything was great, will go again. Made a reservation at LES location (only option for RSVPs) and recently had Sunday dinner here with friends. We sat outside and were socially distant from other tables. Staff was efficient and friendly. Food was bomb. Not much more to add... just go ahead and try it if you're in the neighborhood. This week I tried 3 times for the first time. Some of my favorite menu items I tried are: 1. Seafood chili oil wontons 2. Shanghai noodles 3. Eggplant with garlic and chili sauce 4. Chinese broccoli 5. Scallion pancakes 6. Veggie dumplings I can't wait to go back and try more menu items!

Stopped in today and the man at the front immediately come over to ask how he could help. When I told him I was there for a Yelp Elite event, he said I had the option of take out or ordering in if I ordered more off the menu. I decided to take the soup dumplings to go but did appreciate the cute dining area! The 4 pork soup dumplings were pillowy soft, filled with a large amount of meat, and the broth was light yet extremely flavorful! I hadn't heard of this restaurant before but I'm glad I could be introduced. I will be back to dine in!

The food is always so good and fresh, I love the decor here its very clean but the consistency of the quality of food never disappoints. There's always only one server here, but he does his best with the overwhelming amount of takeout orders, and the indoor isn't really packed for seating, but they do well with what they have and it's worth the wait because the food is so fresh.

3 Times was a lovely experience! We walked up to the cute little place on Baxter St. It had bright and open outdoor dining area. We walked it to a kind waiter who showed us in to dine. The space was modern and open and refreshing. The menu was large! I loved all of the choices. Especially all of the steamed dumpling choices! My boyfriend and I shared the braised pork with steamed buns, scallion pancakes, and 4 of the steamed pork dumplings. The braised pork came out first and wow. It was so tender. The ratio from fat to meat, the soy glaze, the steamed buns - all fantastic. And the scallion pancakes! Not too greasy which can sometimes be a problem at other places. And the steamed dumplings - lots of flavorful pork in a thick broth. Each of these took a while to get to our table but only because each dish was hand crafted and homemade. I could really notice a difference. Something off putting though was the cartoon graphic on the wall. It doesn't fit the restaurant and is a "white savior" story. I think it should be taken down. It is embarrassing. It has nothing to do with the service or food I experienced. A great relaxed spot in the lower east side!

I ordered off of Door Dash on a Friday afternoon and I received my food pretty quickly (much earlier than the estimated time). The food was also still warm when I started eating which was a great discovery. I ordered: --DAN DAN NOODLES: Very average taste. The veggies that came with it were a good compliment to the noodles. And the noodles themselves were very well cooked. --PORK SOUP DUMPLINGS: Good flavor and broth. My only complaint is the skin was slightly too thick and I wish there was more ginger that came with the sauce. --Green Beans: Great flavor and a hefty portion. All in all, a good lunch and great option for delivery.

I came here recently because I was craving the pan fried noodles but, I also wanted fried rice. I ended up getting both and they made a delicious pairing especially, with the extra soy sauce and hot oil. Definitely will be getting this pairing going forward.

Came in on a weekday because I wanted my soup fix, and surely I was disappointed. We ordered an order of soup dumplings, and 5/6 of them were popped. So when we ate it, there was no soup in the dumplings! However, the meat filling was good, hence the extra star. We also ordered Dan Dan noodles, and it was a plate of noodles with a SMALL (the size of two quarters) scallop of meat. There wasn't a lot of sauce for us to mix the noodles, and when I ate it, the noodles were really bland. We also ordered the beef noodle soup, which is one of the specials of the restaurant. Super bland, kind of tasted like poorly flavored soap water. I had to add lots of chili oil to make it taste ok. Overall, it can be a great place but maybe I came at the wrong time. It's just not something I would try again.

Very disappointed with my last visit on 1/3/23 . The service and the food was horrible . The Hong Kong fried rice which is usually delicious, the sausage was burnt also the serving size was much smaller than usual.

The soup dumplings, which I was the most excited for, were really good albeit the "special dumplings" were not very special. I could barely taste truffle in the truffle XLB, and the salted egg yolk one was a bit better but the amount of salted egg in the actual soup dumpling was pretty minimal. Also forgot the dan dan noodles which were good but not special, vegetable wonton with chili oil. The scallion pancakes were a bit disappointing, the beef and pepper was quite delicious. Overall, the meal was good but nothing too special!! Also recommend eating the soup dumplings as soon as you get them.

Had a hankering for a meal made up of veggies and it was late enough that most restaurants around me were closed, save for the late night kitchen at 3 Times. They're a multi location Chinese restaurant billing itself as a place to get dim sum, xiaolongbao, and everything in between. I opted for two simple dishes-- eggplant in garlic sauce and pea shoots. The eggplant was pretty good and I especially liked the pieces of wood ear mushroom in the dish that nicely soaked up all the sauce. Biting into the pea shoots was a record scratch moment for me. It was full of sand. I tried to power through it because I was famished and this was my only meal of the day, but biting into sandy vegetables is quite unpleasant. Their vegetable washer dropped the ball on this one.

This is an amazing fresh dumpling place. Came here mid pandemic, and it is impeccably clean. I wish the best for this place! Wish we were closer.

I visited this restaurant about a year ago - I believe they had recently opened. Let me start off by saying that the service was not the best. The restaurant itself is inviting and really nice but when I entered to order my food the server didn't even look up. Hopefully it has gotten better. At the time they had a smaller outdoor area so we opted to get takeout. I had the shrimp fried rice which was just ok, kind of bland. The portion size is big for what you pay; I had some leftovers for dinner. I actually reheated it with soy sauce and it tasted a little better. The scallion pancakes were my favorite thing and really delicious. They also gave us red bean puffs complimentary but I wasn't a fan of the texture. Not sure I would rush to try them again.

I came here for dinner with my boyfriend and we shared beef and tripe, dan dan noodles, pork soup dumplings, and string beans. We really enjoyed the dishes, but did think that the dan dan noodles were just alright. However, we especially loved the string beans. Also, the service was extremely fast. We were able to place our order quickly and the food came shortly after. The waiters were really attentive and it was easy to get their attention. I highly recommend this spot!

Really pleasantly surprised how delicious and tasty the food was here. We randomly chose it at 9 p.m. on a Sunday after a long day's work. We wanted something quick, easy and not too heavy, but Asian. This fit the bill. They lose a star from nearly non-existent service we got, especially considering the place was empty except for us, and they didn't seem to be booming with take out orders. After we got seated, we waited 5-7 minutes to get a menu and then another 10 before I had to get up and get the server to take our order. He was just standing inside. But, it was a slow Sunday night (still no excuse). And, the deliciousness of the food and reasonable prices (not to mention our exhaustion having driven around for 20 minutes and attempting to go to four other places, all of which ended up being closed) outweighed the slight irritation over the service. I had the braised beef noodle soup, which can often go either way with me. But their version was awesome ... and had a nice spicy kick to it. My husband had a few dim sum options, including the pork soup dumplings and spicy pork wontons. Would we come back? Absolutely.

This place was good! We made reservations but didn't need to as it was almost empty. Everything came out quickly and we got a billion different types of dumplings, noodles, etc. The service was also great! We're they the best dumplings I've ever had in my life? No but they were good. If you're in the area stop by!

Love this spot. Everything we ordered was delicious. Not too crowded which is surprising because it really was that tasty. We wished the lighting was turned down just slightly because it was a bit bright in there. Not a big deal though. I recommend!

They'll mess up your order and disrespect you 100% of the time. Go anywhere but here. The food is good enough for me to make the mistake more than once. I always regretted it.

Love the dumplings and used to order $100+ big orders of frozen xiao long bao and other goodies to steam/fry at home. However, they've stopped doing frozen items delivery. Unfortunately, soup dumplings are not nearly as good once they've been steaming extra in a delivery container as they are fresh out of the bamboo steamer. When I'm in Chinatown (which is a trek for me), I'll pick some up, but I'm sad they no longer deliver. It's less of a regular thing for me now (maybe good for my diet though lol).

The soup dumplings are to die for. All the food is excellent and the service is excellent. Their Shanghai noodles are so good and all the vegetarian options are also excellent. Highly recommend!

I ordered shredded pork with hot green peppers. 85-90% are onions. Only a little pathetic shredded pork that you almost can count with two hands. This is not the first time I order this dish from 3 times, sometimes there's more pepper less meat, but none of those experiences are as ridiculous as this time that deserves my time to leave a review on yelp. I wouldn't recommend order delivery from this location; you never know if you will get shredded pork with green pepper, or onion with onion.

Came here for a lunch on a Tuesday. Place felt a little under-staffed, with only one person in the front and he said there's only one person cooking in the kitchen. We ordered the braised beef noodle soup, truffle soupy dumplings, pan fried pork buns, Nanjing salted duck, and sliced beef/tripe in chili sauce. After our waiter came over to apologize in advance that the food maybe slow due to only one person cooking in kitchen, we were mentally prepared to wait for awhile since there were also several delivery people waiting to pick up orders. To our surprise the noodle soup came out reasonably quick. The broth had depth with a slight hint of spiciness, noodle wasn't too soft which was what we preferred, and beef was tender minus one tough piece - we were pleasantly surprised how delicious it was. Then came out the truffle soupy dumplings and the free pork soupy dumplings. I honestly didn't taste any truffle in the dumplings, I think the vinegar overpowered it - not the best combo. Pork soupy dumplings were solid - skin wasn't too thick at all, and filling was flavorful. Lastly we got our Pan fried pork buns, it was steaming hot, got the perfect crunch at the bottom, and the pork inside tasted good (a bit too sweet for me but my husband loved it). Now why only 4 stars? Because after all those yummy hot food, we realized we were still missing the Nanjing salted duck and the sliced beef/tripe in chili oil. They are supposed to be cold appetizers so I was confused why they took a long time to come out. I told our waiter to cancel the appetizers but he brought out the salted duck - he told me they just "made" it, whatever that means because the dish was cold, and lacked some serious flavors. I've had enough amazing Nanjing salted duck growing up that I find it insulting to call it the same name here. It resembles nothing like the tender, salty, melt in your mouth salted duck I was used to. So we cancelled the other cold appetizer and called it good. Overall it was a pleasant experience, minus the hiccups with appetizers. Think we will be back if we are in the area again.
