Absolutely one of, if not, the best vegan sushi I've had and believe me I've travelled and have had vegan sushi all across the U.S. I was lucky enough to find them at the Hillcrest Farmer's Market. It is a must have if you're in San Diego and looking for vegan sushi. Follow them on IG for location updates.

I will be craving this sushi until I get it again. I got the chefs special at the vista vegan pop up and the smoked tofu one. omg so good. The rice melted in my mouth, and the flavors were amazing! I love that they're trying to change the capitalist society we live in through being donation based. Please offer a class when you have more time!!!

Incredible vegan sushi with a unique donation based business model. They have a new fan. Best sushi I've had, hands down. Gluten free, vegan, no mock meats. Found them at La Jolla Farmers Market. Said he's there every Sunday.

Great value, Great quality. Vegan Mirai is one of my favorite farmers market shops. The quality of their food and service is always so consistently high and very enjoyable even for someone who isn't vegan. This shop is owned by a couple who make and sell vegan sushi rolls for the cost of donations. I love the idea that everyone is invited to pay what they are able to. Because of this, I always make an effort to support them whenever I catch them at a farmers market and I've always been rewarded with delicious food. I've talked to the owner, his partner, and also one of their other employees and they've always been pleasant to interact with. The shop is hosted under a small tent where you can watch the chefs prepare your meal right in front of you and many of their dishes use a blowtorch which is always fun to watch. Go out and support Vegan Mirai at your local San Diego farmers market!!!

This place is amazing!!! I love their vegan sushi, they manage to create such an elaborate flavor profile for each of their rolls they offer. You can really tell how much love and creative energy they put into their food. They don't have a store front so you do have to check their instagram to find out where they will be popping up. Usually at a vegan food festival or framers market. I assure you, it is worth it to go check them out! The staff is always so friendly and sweet, they even have treats for my dog when I go up to their tent. I love everything about this business.

Cheng has been at the new Rancho Peñasquitos Farmer's Market since it reopened at its new location, and the beauty of his food attracted me to his booth. I'm not vegan and have never been interested in vegan sushi, either, but one bite of his "Baked Skallop" roll and I was SOLD. The smokiness of the flame-seared oyster mushroom on top of the roll was absolutely incredible, and the texture was dead-on for an actual scallop. My daughter absolutely loves the California Roll with hearts of palm instead of imitation crab, and we've now told all our friends that Vegan Mirai's food should be on their must-try list! Cheng is incredibly friendly and his donation-only business model is a refreshing change from the norm. Will continue to keep buying rolls each Thursday!

Still swooning over the Baked Skallop roll. King oyster mushrooms shine brilliantly. Tofu is smoked to perfection with a tender texture. The sauce is delectable. Love the smokiness & heat! The owner and chef is so kind, talented, and intentional, I'm estatic to donate again to Vegan Mirai!

I'm a big fan of Vegan Mirai. The sushi is amazing! The "scallop" roll is my favorite - has a great earthy, umami taste. Super filling as well. I have to get a few rolls whenever I come across it at a farmers market.

We love getting Vegan Mirai at the farmer's market and any of the vegan food pop ups we find them at. Best vegan sushi around and the donation based payments are great. My favorites are the scallop and avocado rolls. Cheng is always very friendly as well. Try it when you see them and you won't regret it!

Recently switched back to vegetarian after years of being pescatarian and was desperately missing sushi options until I stumbled across this place at the farmers market. Better than sushi I had even when I was still eating fish. My favorite is the Skallop Roll! Sooooooo good!!

I LOVE Vegan Mirai--wonderful service, beautiful delicious food (so fun to watch them make to rolls!), VEGAN, and it's donation based. The baked skallop roll is life-changing. I literally can't stop ordering it so I haven't tried everything on their menu, but everything I've had so far is great. My non-vegan friends and family love it too.

Vegan Mirai is the BEST. Cheng the owner is amazing and always has the best energy. When I lived in Pb I would go to the La Jolla farmers market every Sunday and would get his baked scallop roll every single time. He always remembers me and my name, even when it's been a hot minute since I've been to get sushi. I really appreciate the thought and this isn't even mentioning how amazing the food is. You really can't go wrong with anything! I used to think vegan sushi wasn't too good and Avo rolls was the best you could get. Wrong. These rolls are so flavorful and delicious I have myself craving them over normal sushi. 10/10 you should definitely go check them out. I happily give them all my money!!

Love to get this sushi at the Little Italy and Pacific Beach farmers markets! Their sushi is fresh, creative, VEGAN!, and they cater to gluten free options as well. Highly recommend grabbing a roll or three!

loved the baked "skallop" roll, tofu and the torched king oyster mushroom create great flavor and texture. avocado roll is refreshing and the shiitake mushrooms are well seasoned! jordan was super kind and helpful, and they had a cute booth at little italy. the donation only model is amazing, and it doesn't compromise the food or service quality at all:) highly recommend!

Found this spot at the La Mesa Famers market and the quality is unmatched! Some of the best vegan sushi I have ever had. Will definitely be looking for this at all the farmers markets from now on! Also only one chef on and he was so quick and his customer service was excellent while being by himself!

Every time I'm at the farmers market, vegan market, night market... (really whatever market), I ALWAYS HAVE TO scope out if Vegan Mirai is there. I'm by no means a vegan -- in fact I am very much a carnivore -- but I'm telling you, this is one of my favorite small business sushi spots and I can't get enough of it. The California roll is one of my favorites because it literally tastes like a non-vegan California roll. If you haven't tried it, GO GO GO. Seriously so good.

Easily the best vegan sushi in San Diego. I eat the scallop roll twice a week. It's donation based so you pay what you can. Chef Cheng is naturally kind and welcoming and remembers everyone's name. It's fresh and made with love. If you eat at one vegan sushi spot visiting San Diego make sure it's Vegan Mirai. They are at farmers markets 6 days a week, sometimes 3 different markets in one day. He posts his weekly schedule on his Instagram so I always know where to get my fix!

BEST Vegan Sushi I've ever had! Cheng and his wife are so sweet and talented and their rolls are TO DIE for. I visit whichever farmer's market they're at, and it's always worth the drive.

I love the sushi! I'm not vegan but if I can find more yummy food like this I'll convert! I got the Skallop roll and one other one but I'm not sure what it was called. Everyone is super friendly and I love that it's donation based. My friend took me to your booth the first time and I went to find you guys again on my birthday in La Jolla because it was so good! I plan on going this week to if I can. Try them if you can! You won't be disappointed
