Where to Eat at Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) - Eater Houston

"3rd Bar Eating House is a solid option for fresh Gulf oysters, fried shrimp po’ boys, and Tex-Mex-inspired seafood dishes. If you’re not feeling fish, order a trio of sliders with different proteins or a crisp Cobb salad." - Brittany Britto Garley

I visited this airport restaurant/bar today 3/17/25. First when I came in there was no one to help. I waited and then sat down. A very nice sweet lady came and answered my questions. She was nice, the men? Not impressed I paid almost $30 for eggs bacon potatoes and coffee. Now I know airport food is expensive and not the best. But for $30 ya’ll could do better. Nothing on my plate was good. And the coffee tasted burnt. How do you burn coffee. I went to the bar and advised the coffee was not good and tasted burnt. The man as unbothered as he possibly could be “what would you like” I just said a coke not to bother him any further. He put it on the bar with a straw said here u go and continued about his business. At least acknowledge what I said to you and be polite. He didn’t offer me another coffee or advise they could prepare me a new one. At 8 in the morning yes I’d like a nice coffee for my $30 bill. Lol. I have low standards for airport restaurants but come on now !! The lady was nice, good for her for being pleasant this morning. This is why service is not one star or zero if I could give

Decent service, nice atmosphere, alright food. Nothing to write home about but it was decent for airport food. Over priced but that is also understandable for airport food. My salad was fresh and crisp and pretty good. Fairly healthy and a solid amount of options

Overpriced, underwhelming and under-portioned. But it is what it is I suppose at the airport. No fruit-plate option for breakfast. Ordered a side of fruit (6.49) and a side of Jalapeno cheese-bread. It was half a cup of fruit and a slice of bread (5.99). And a cup of coffee ($5). $22 total with a tip before you’re even served. All that with a painful, cash-less ordering process that takes up considerable time. Payment processing shouldn’t be so difficult and on the front end. Servers should have CC terminals. Or you should scan a qr code to pay your bill after eating. Portions don’t need to be monstrous but don’t make people feel like they’re being robbed and taken advantage of. The place has potential for someone that cares to make for a better dining experience. Otherwise people will continue to leave shrugging and disappointed.

I payed $30 and waited 40 minutes for a tiny piece of meat, probably barely 20g, in a “sandwich” with no condiments, not even a piece of lettuce or a slice of tomato. They also didn’t have the drink I wanted and substituted it with a cheaper one than the one I had already payed for, without reimbursing the difference. would’ve gotten better quality food and for way cheaper and faster at the Whataburger next door

Bartender was awesome. Food took a while to come out. Did not taste too good. The fried pickles was a combo of fried pickle vegtables. Soaked in some weird sugar/vinegar broth. Dont reccomend. Good fish though.

I walked in to the restaurant (I have anxiety flying and had a headache) and was greeted warmly by staff. Terrific staff. But especially with a pleasant smile from Mark the bartender. He offered me to order from the app or from him, I appreciated the option. He patiently waited on me and made a very delicious margaritas and martini....just what I needed to calm my nerves. The crab cake w/ the strawberry salad is a must try! Wow! Mark and I created that! Lol.... so stop on in when at IAH at the United Airlines B terminal.

Takes forever to get your crappy overpriced food. Save yourself the trouble. My burger took almost 40 minutes and then had most everything missing on it.

Terminal B Houston Intercontinental. Always great service and food/wine. Bar seats are well equipped with electrical outlets. Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner. Very convenient to all B-Gates.
