17 Spots to Sip Cocktails in the Los Angeles Area | Eater

"This Hollywood sports bar nails outdoor drinking and dining with an inviting astroturfed space, complete with outdoor TVs so you won’t miss a second of the game. At brunch, it’s all about pitchers full of Spiked Lemonade, which get a peachy hint from Grey Goose Essences Peach & Rosemary, plus tang from fresh lemon juice, sweetness from agave, and a touch of soda water fizz. Or there’s the subtly sweet My Girl’s Not Hungry, a mix of Grey Goose Original, strawberry syrup and lemon. An ample menu of game day favorites runs from nachos to wings to a fried chicken sandwich, and other day drinking-friendly foods." - Vox Creative

16 Great L.A. Cocktail Spots to Send Off Summer | Eater

"The Brutalist-meets-Futurist architecture should tip you off that this is not your standard cocktail spot. Indeed, cocktails like GREY GOOSE-spiked My Girl’s Not Hungry offer an unusual counterpoint to menu items like the melt-in-your mouth Sleazy Burger and the Warm Ice Cream Bun which pairs the creamy treat with puffed pancake." - Vox Creative

Hollywood’s Former Sports Bar Mecca Gets a Slick New Upscale Look - Eater LA

"A former Hollywood hotspot for brews, burgers, and sports is coming back to life, as a trio of owners have taken over the old Big Wang’s on Cahuenga, and are upping the sports bar ante. The newcomer will be called 3rd Base, and it should be ready to roll before the spring of 2019." - Farley Elliott

Upon my arrival, I was told at the door that my reservation was canceled and that I now have to pay $100 per person minimum in order to have a seat/table. This was not advertised online or during my reservation process. The service was extremely slow, the music was too loud on a poor sound system, and the internet connection prevented guests from viewing the show that everyone paid to see uninterrupted. Overall poor experience and not worth going to again.

I came in just wanting a beer, but apparently that was too much to ask. Sat there for about 15 minutes while staff completely ignored me. The waitress finally acknowledged me, but with an attitude like I was bothering her. Super welcoming. If you enjoy feeling invisible and unwelcome, this place is perfect.

Google
Great evening atmosphere. Super friendly staff and very clean. Now let’s talk food. Super satisfying, good portions and great flavors. The waitress wasn’t wearing much, which was kinda uncomfortable. But it was worth the price tag.

It took awhile for our drinks to arrive to our table, and when they did they forgot one of my girlfriends' drinks. The staff were friendly (when they DID serve us) and the food was good, but our waitress misplaced my debit card and gave my card to another table. They had me put my name and number on a napkin to contact me if the person returned my card, but they never did. I had to cancel my debit card. They gave us a free meal but it was not worth the experience I had.

Such a vibe! This spot was super chill with great music that set the perfect tone. I used the InKind app and got $20 off a $60 tab—such a steal! We came as a group of four around 3 PM, and the weather couldn’t have been better. The windows and doors were wide open, letting in the most refreshing breeze. Parking was easy—there’s both street parking and a lot with security, plus other great food spots nearby if you're looking to explore. Now let’s talk about food—absolutely delicious! Every bite was so good, I seriously wanted to go back the very next day. And the Patrón flight? A total win. Four individual mixed drinks with different flavors to choose from—definitely worth it. 10/10 recommend for a chill hangout with amazing food, great drinks, and unbeatable vibes. Don’t sleep on this spot!

Google
All of the food was small portions. But the food itself was pretty good! And awesome place to grab a drink with friends on a weekend. Our waitress was responsive and the gratuity was included. The salmon was smoked and the eggs were perfectly runny. The mimosas were also strong enough to make me order 2 of them. I would recommend this place to someone else with the desires of a nice outdoor space to eat during covid

Google
10/10 would not order food from them again, I Update from October 2024: I came back and should have listened to my own advice, the food is not work it lol it’s always a miss, come for the vibes and maybe a beer or too while you watch the game but the food aid overpriced and trash. NEVER AGAIN 2023: guess I just wouldn’t go back. Not a good experience, the chicken wings were supposed to be crispy but weren’t. First time they had no sauce on them so I had to send them back and ask for them to be a little bit more crispy with buffalo sauce. Drinks were weak, not worth the price. Overall a miss for me.

Google
Tell me you're a crappie business without telling me you're a crappie business..... Easily, put hidden charges on everything! Let me start by saying that we had a 7pm reservation and we got there at 7:03pm. The hostess was not at her station. We waited over 20 mins for her to show up and seat us. The service was pretty slow and the food is overpriced and mediocre. When it was time to pay we paid a "mandatory"18% gratuity for a party of 3 and a 4% service charge. The menu clearly stated that the gratuity was for parties of 5 or more. No need to return to a business that needs to steal because they have bad business tactics

Yelp
This place is really popular for football games. The parking lot is tiny, but I believe they have valet. Not a lot of room to sit here. Haven't Tried the food yet, but it looks delicious. Going back to eat soon.

Yelp
Service: the first woman that served our group of 4 was not friendly at all. You can tell she was ready to leave. She walked out with her bags about 10 minutes later and just waived at us., motioning goodbye. Jasmine, Lexi, and Marisa were so helpful to us after that encounter! They all were approachable, sweet and Jasmine had a great knowledge of the menu. They made it a good night! Food: I had a Cesar salad which was slightly over dressed but still good overall. The cocktails were tasty! Ambiance: the vibe was awesome! They had a great 90s/early 2000s R&B/Soul playlist. They play music before and after the football game.

Yelp
We came here on a fight night night and we had to pay a cover, even though we were going to get bottle service. Honestly, this shouldve been included in the price of the service but anywho. We were taken to a separate room in the back and I wondered about this, as the whole front section was open and empty, but later that night I saw why. The place quickly became full, there was a massive amount of people waiting to get in line, it got rowdy and crazy, and overall, just not my vibe. Street parking or valet, which is $20.

Yelp
This place looked cool and meet with some clients here. The Bartender was completely oblivious to the patrons needs and was also tied up with the Budweiser guy. He never checked in before getting into the other task of swapping out half kegs. Repeatedly had to try and get him to come over. The food wasn't bad but the Bill for the drinks was definitely heavily inflated.

Yelp
Weak happy hour, understaffed, disappointing food, and as sports bar they rarely put on the game sound, instead they have a live DJ playing the most annoying middle school jams. I was in a party of two at the bar and they charged me for being in a party of eight for some reason. I think the staff is trying their hardest and I feel bad for them :-( for sports bars there are better options within walking distance.

Yelp
First time here & I really enjoyed it. Located right in the heart of Hollywood, the vibe is super cool and inviting at 3rd Base LA. If you want to come in, and just sit at the bar, there's no need for a reservation. We however wanted to try the menu! Our waiter was awesome, offering great suggestions and making sure we were well taken care of. Now, onto the food - it was delicious! We tried mozzarella sticks, buffalo wings, mini smash burgers, fries, shrimp, pasta, mac & cheese, and two delicious mocktails. Everything was flavorful and cooked to perfection. We really appreciated the waiter making 2 creative mocktails for us & making sure everything came out perfectly! Overall, 3rd Base LA nailed it with great ambiance, friendly service, and delicious food. Definitely a must-visit spot in Hollywood!

Yelp
AVOID! I made a reservation here last night to grab food/drinks and watch the Dodgers first playoff game. I'd never been but loved coming here when it was Big Wangs back in the day, and their IG account had a post specifically promoting this game so I figured it was a safe bet. Unfortunately the vibes were sketch as soon as I walked in. The place was half empty, blaring obnoxiously loud club music, and only one of the many tvs was playing the game. When I told the host I had a reservation she immediately asked for a $20 cover. Lol I'm sorry what? NOWHERE on the Resy website, booking confirmation email or IG post was a cover charge advertised. I turned right back around and met my friend elsewhere. Don't waste your time coming here.

Yelp
Absolute garbage of an "establishment" - guy with the man bun behind the bar is not a happy person and makes that clearly felt by the customers. They add a $3.60 "auto gratuity" on top of several other "service charges" and don't bother explaining. The tequila pour was embarrassing and the quality was equally so. Never, I repeat, never, come here. It's literally the worst bar in Los Angeles.

Yelp
Ok so 3rd base was definitely almost a home run! I came here on a Friday night and it was poppin' very good Dj that played good selections! The service was fast and easy at the bar! I did not get a drink but my friend ordered the sunrise tequila and she said it was very tasty and on point! The ambiance is very good and fun environment for sure! I would say that it is for the age group that are 25-35. It was pretty packed but it was still cool because they have booths, a nice bar, and area where you can stand. Overall, 3rd Base is good if you want to dance and have a very good time! They have food options as well if you want to eat! Overall, I will come back the weekends seem to be very fun! I just highly recommend that you carpool or do Uber because parking is pretty high from $15-$25 for parking. They also have valet at 3rd base parking as well if you want to be about convenience! -Marshay D.

Yelp
Drinks are strong, great happy hour options and fun playlist to listen to. I had the chicken tacos which I wasn't too crazy about and the mozzarella sticks which were super crispy and tasty. My favorite was definitely the chicken wings!

Yelp
Best happy hour in town, and it starts weekdays at noon and runs til 7pm! I, of course, had to have their jalapeño margarita while hubby ordered an IPA. We started with their Shishito Peppers, Brussels Sprouts, Vertical Nachos, and 3 types of Tacos! Our entrees included their Flatbread Pizza (hubby only eats pepperoni!), Creamy Shrimp, Pasta, and their Atlantic Salmon. And let's not forget the most beautiful photogenic dessert: Bread Pudding! It was such an incredible dining experience. And definitely some of the best food you'll find at a bar or a pub like this! Also, the wait staff was superb! Definitely such a positive and memorable experience!
google avatar

Yelp
Came here with my friend for happy hour. The vibes are cool and the music is as well. The margaritas are $9, too sweet for me. Parking is on site but it was full so we parked on street. The fries were my favorite. The shrimp tacos are not great because it had a lot of frozen shrimp. Definitely simmer expectations. I'd come back for the drinks and fries only. My friend liked the carnitas tacos.

Yelp
Walked over from the museum to grab a bite to eat for lunch. it's an airy, open place that has a full bar with booths and tables surrounding it. The menu has a variety of options but we most of us opted for the happy hour menu. The service was friendly and the place was clean. We ordered lemon pepper wings, mozzarella sticks, pizza, a salmon bowl and nachos. We all walked out content.

Yelp
We came here on a Saturday in the early afternoon and had no problem finding seats at the bar. There are tons of tvs everywhere here, so there is no bad view of any tv or game here! We each ordered a flight, Mimosa ($50 for 4 flutes) and Spritz ($60 for 4 flutes), and they were TASTY and kept me in a good one here! The flavors of Mimosas were: classic, pineapple, guava, and peach. Spritz flavors were: passion fruit, lavender (only one I didn't like: tasted like perfume), elderflower and black raspberry. We also enjoyed the Mac n cheese and Brussels sprouts, which were both delicious. Will be back, as this was the perfect spot to meet up with friends while enjoying the games and a few drinks/snacks before kicking off our night

Yelp
I'm here for the FLATBREAD!! It was THE BEST I EVER HAD!! This was my first time fl mind to 3rd Base LA and it did not disappoint. First thing- they do have valet for $20 but we found parking the street over. There's plenty of parking, but it does get pretty busy. The host- I had the pleasure of talking to two of them, both super generous and welcoming! The manager was very kind as well. Great smile. The price and menu- I love their HH! Very reasonable prices! Especially for this area. So don't hesitate and stop by!! We had their wings ( Thai chili, oh so good), flatbread, shrimp pasta, and they're all soooo good! Highly recommended! Come watch sports, enjoy good vibes, listen to good music and enjoy good food.

Yelp
I've been to 3rd Base a few times now. Good place to come watch a game and vibe with friends. At night it lowkey turns into a legit club. Music is on point, and I've never had any issues with the staff. During my last visit I tried the 3rd Base loaded nachos, and it was fire! Huge portion and the chips were cooked perfectly! The toppings were also layered just right. It's a must try! One downside is that the bar is on the smaller side, so it can get packed at night. And if there's a big game or event going on, they will likely charge a cover or sell tickets to get in. So not the best play on those days unless you want to pay $20-50 just to be present. Overall though, one of the better bars in Hollywood, especially for Black and brown people. I have to try their famous Patrón margarita tree next!

Yelp
Stopped here on a Friday night with a few family members, so glad we came! The ambience was great and the service was perfect. We ordered so much food, and everything tasted amazing! Waffle fries, steak, pizza, chicken wings, sliders, nachos, ice cream bun, bread pudding, shrimp pasta and a whole lot Of drinks lol. Everything came out in a timely matter we didn't have to bother them and ask "where's our food?" Lol . Everyone here was extremely nice from the security guard to our server, the manager and everyone at the bar. They were very attentive and made sure all of us were comfortable and didn't need anything. Everything was honestly amazing, can't wait to come back. Oh and the music was great as well. We had such a great experience! Great spot for a girls night or even date night!

Yelp
3rd base huh? They should have named the place Home Run! That was literally my experience in a nutshell. The layout and design of the restaurant was definitely eye catching. Showing up during golden hour was prime time for a great atmospheric experience, with those open windows and booth seating. We were greeted and seated by an incredibly kind angel named Nicole. She made sure we were well taken care of. She was there for everything we needed and was even so kind to be patient and give recommendations. The menu was stacked with everything I could want. Unfortunately, I only have one stomach. But we ordered something from every category on the food side of the menu. 1 word that I would choose to describe the taste is "fire." Everything slapped! The Thai chili wings, street tacos, extra sleazy burger, shrimp pasta, and that bomb bbq chicken pizza! They even had a food and drink happy hour. I'm already planning my second and third trip back. I HAVE to try the rest of that menu. Especially their brunch. If you need a good experience with a blast of flavor, I implore you to take a swing at 3rd base.

Yelp
Loved it. Highly recommend. Service was great. Food amazing. I love it. You would look right past it if you didn't know it was here!

Yelp
3rd base is one of my favorite bars in Hollywood to grab a drink and watch a game. I tend to lean more towards happy hour time these days and whenever I've gone at that time it was easy to walk right in and be seated. I like sitting at the bar because of proximity to the TV's and I like quick service. The bar tenders are always on point and I don't find myself waiting long for another drink which I always appreciate in Hollywood. Food wise I usually just get some wings and a small pizza which both are surprisingly good. I always advise people when going out in Hollywood it's probably easier to Uber just because of the parking difficulties. They offer valet for $15-$20 bucks but between that and risking a DUI just Uber lol. If you plan to visit on a weekend or during a sporting event it will be shoulder to shoulder packed. Some don't mind but this is one of those places that's always packed so just know that going into it. Drink and food prices are what you would expect for the area but nothing too crazy. As a frequent patron who never left a review I felt I've had enough good times here that I owed it to them at this point lol.
google avatar

Michelle L.

Yelp
Caution!!!! Check your bill before you leave!!!! Not only was the female bartender HORRIBLE and RUDE. It was only 2 of us at the bar and she charged "large party 18% gratuity" onto our bill without us knowing and wouldn't give us a breakdown copy of our bill. She tried to be slick and just give us the credit card receipt to sign without showing us the breakdown. Sadly I would never recommend this place to anyone.
google avatar

Diane H.

Yelp
Great place to watch the game, have a celebration or just chill. Televisions all over. Great food and drinks. Plenty of street parking. I had a Turkey burger that was amazing. The salmon was also good. We also had the tequila tower. It was very yummy. We're ending our meal with the bread pudding. I would highly recommend the bar. Whether you are popping bottles or coming for a romantic date night, this is the place to be.
google avatar

David C.

Yelp
Great place to watch UEFA Champions League. International, soccer-loving crowd, big screens with both games on, with no other distractions. And most importantly, the commentators' sound on, unlike most bars which mute sports and put on music. I haven't sampled the menu much, but what I had was solid. I appreciate that they carry beers on tap from Golden Road, a local brewery.
google avatar

M C.

Yelp
Stopped by here on a Sunday afternoon to grab a few drinks and watch some football. Everything was fine. Party of 3 seated right away. And we only ordered drinks. The attention from our server was just enough. She came around often to check on us and right on time when it was time for a refill. The 3 stars is because she didn't disclose that the tip/gratuity was already included. The servers come and stick the machine in your face to swipe/tap your card while they are standing there staring at you, waiting for you to tip and sign. I appreciate it when they disclose that the tip is already included in the bill so I can decide whether or not I want to include more. The service was worth the 18% but not more than that as it was standard.

Yelp
This is a nice bar with loud music and great vibes. We came here for Saturday brunch and surprise at how empty this place was. Everyone here is super friendly. The host and waitress was really nice and helpful. The food here is great. Nothing to write home about but it's definitely good. I got their breakfast place which came with two eggs, bacon, hash tots, and two bread. The hash tots had green sauce on it. It's better than just plain tots. The croissant sandwich was yummy. The margarita tree was something fun to order. You get four different flavor of margs on the tree. We got watermelon, strawberry, mango and pineapple. Strawberry was my favorite. Super creamy and yummy. It's a fun place to go with your friends to enjoy a nice chill brunch.

Yelp
I don't know a thing about sports, but you can take me @3rdbasela anytime! If you're looking for an elevated sports-bar experience that is also reminiscent of fine dining and the club, definitely check out @3rdbasela , the official bar of the @rams fans. Overall, I was definitely impressed by their high quality and beautifully plated dishes, which utilize ingredients from farm to table and were definitely an elevated take on traditional bar bites. Their handcrafted cocktails were also delicious and well-made, and I would highly recommend getting the margarita tree if you're with a larger party! What I tried: BLACK MAMBA BURGER: Rib-eye Patty, Grilled Onions, Mushrooms, Truffle Oil Bended Patty, Cheddar, Crispy Onions, Special Sauce MAC & CHEESE: Elbow Pasta, Gouda, Cheddar, Breadcrumbs 3RD BASE NACHOS: Queso, Cilantro Crema, Pico de Gallo, Black Beans, Charred Corn, Guacamole, Grilled chicken ATLANTIC SALMON: Crispy Skin Salmon, Coconut Curry, Basmati Rice with Grilled Onion and Corn, Broccolini My girl's not hungry 3rd base prickly pear This is more of a nightclub take on a traditional sports bar, so expect to be in clubbing attire if entering after 9 PM, and for service to be a bit slower and more casual compared to a traditional sit down restaurant.

Yelp
Great place created and managed by very nice people. Trusted place to have a great time with special guest who loves great energy of sport bars. Super service, delicious food. Thank you for this established gem spot in the heart of Hollywood.
google avatar

Pierre R.

Yelp
This place has pretty good food for a sports bar. Their pizza is bomb. It's a fun place to go to for game day.
google avatar

Randall S.

Yelp
They check every box for me. Happy Hour was amazing! Me and my girlfriend were seated immediately. The birria tacos were to die for. The "Sleazy" burger was so good! The highlight for me was the Philly Cheesesteak fries as appetizer. The drinks were well crafted. Love the lavender martini and the "my girls not hungry" cocktail. Love the dim lighting with the sports bar feel. Definitely gonna return soon
google avatar

Darlene T.

Yelp
Food was okay but not something I would crave or go there for. The service needs lots of work. Waitresses and bartenders aren't really attentive and I would only go on the weekend when there's a dj. Vibes are dope with a dj but regular days during game days not so much. It's just a sports bar.
google avatar

W Y.

Yelp
It's not the best food ever. I wouldn't crave it or go back. I think it's more of a vibe and take pics of the patron tower vs actually enjoying GOOD quality food. (Social media is taking over, the bar for food quality has gone down significantly, it's now more about vibes and videos) Also they charge a 18% service charge for everyone (per there menu it's applied usually for a party of 5 or more, or for the patron tower (neither applied to us)). Our waitress did not say anything until she gave us the bill. At that time (end of august) it wasn't written anywhere. When we asked her why not? She said "they just started". 2 stars for that alone! Communication is key, especially when it comes down to "new unwritten rules" that make a difference on what you pay. This is something that should have been updated in writing prior to the start. Service fees are taking over. Doesn't even make sense that's there's a service fee for the patron tower. And of course employers can do as they please w service fees so you're still expected to tip bc in some places the owners pocket the service fee. It's not split amongst the employees. (Can't speak for this place just putting it out there that it's not considered a tip)
google avatar

Brandon S.

Yelp
I wandered into this place while on a business trip and loved it! Good vibe. Good drink selection. I ordered the Cheesesteak Sliders and they may have been the greatest thing I've ever tasted. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Neisha M.

Yelp
After reading all the reviews, I would have to agree. It's a hit or miss. I always come with my boyfriend and man do the 304$ be mad. Apparently this is where you come to find a Trapper. The service is horrible, no offense ladies but y'all not here to fraternize with the ballers. Y'all supposed to be servicing every table the same. The food is okay, we preferred the chicken poppers when they were smaller pieces instead of the large cubes they have now. The birria tacos are a no, carnitas was okay, chicken taco mehh. You can't go wrong with the hot wings or mini sliders. I would pass on the Earth Bowl it was super oily, had no flavor and was disgusting. The atmosphere was cool besides all the nats and flies flying around, cool music. I would only sit at the bar, if we go again.
google avatar

Lily A.

Yelp
I visited this establishment on 6/9 and while I was pleased with the quality of the drinks and the ambiance, I was disappointed by the poor customer service provided by one of the employees working at the bar. During my visit, the employee in question was smoking an e-cigarette and drinking on the job while making drinks behind the bar. Additionally, he took a phone call in the middle of making a drink for a customer, which I found to be unprofessional and disrespectful to the customer. As a customer, I have never witnessed staff conduct themselves in this manner, and I believe it reflects poorly on the establishment. I hope the management team will provide more attention to the training and development of their staff, particularly in the area of customer service.

Yelp
ZERO STARS-- Came here on a whim for my birthday last night and I'll never return. Besides being seated quickly, our server never came back to check on us after taking our order. My friend and I were seated across from the kitchen door and I was able to see one of the cooks drinking liquor. He was obviously drunk. My friend got his food. I never received mine (they never even started it). I asked them to remove my dish and speak to a manager. He came over said the bill was on the house... geez thanks. Drinks were gross. But the music was good.
google avatar

Erma M.

Yelp
I've been coming to this place for a few years and I must say they don't disappoint. The atmosphere is lit - the DJ is fire and the drinks and food are pretty good. It's hit or miss with your server and there is rarely street parking available. I usually valet which is an additional $20-30 per car. I always try something new to eat and it's always yummy. The Margarita tower is a must and it's shareable. I usually get the mango or passion fruit flavor but they have about 6 different flavors. The bar is usually packed so arrive before 3:30pm if you want to get a booth with friends or sit at the bar solo and make new friends. This place is a whole vibe! See you next time @ 3rd Base
google avatar

Sharleen S.

Yelp
This was my second time coming here. This time, I came on a Sunday during brunch. The music was amazing. The waitresses still acted like they didn't want to be there. I got the chicken and waffles....it literally had no flavor. The first sandwich tasted the celery, so I guess that's a flavor. But the others had no flavor. The chicken was dry, the waffles were wet and soggy, overall not the best. The fries were good though!

Tianna E.

Yelp
The omelette was amazing. Came on a Saturday morning and it wasn't packed at all. Great service and food.

Yelp
Great place to catch live sports & quick bites. Made a reservation the day before & arrived right on time. Reservation was honored & were sat immediately. Ordered the Mozzarella sticks, Philly cheese steak sliders and the patron margarita tree. I'd give the food 8.5/10. Pretty good overall. Loved the live music and being able to tune into the game. Giving 4/5 starts due to pricing. Slightly on the expensive side, but a great experience nonetheless.

Yelp
Game day hot spot. Vibrant atmosphere with stellar bar food options that pair perfect with their drink options. This is a great spot to come with a group of friends for brunch or later in the night as the music and DJ continuously keep the energy brewing.

Yelp
Food was amazing Loved the service The vibe was great Definitely a must try I would definitely recommend the bbq chicken flatbread and the shrimp pasta

Yelp
I came here to meet a few friends here and I had an iffy experience. Usually when I past this place, there's not many people here but Friday night during their happy hour it was pretty crowded. Keep that in mind as you're planning your time here. Happy hour had pretty decent prices for food and drinks (drinks are super strong but so good) but after happy hour, it gets pretty pricey for small portions. I booked two tables (one for five and another for eight). Once all parties arrived and were seated, another host let us know that the minimum is $50 per person to order. I just thought that was so absurd because when I booked it, none of the waitress or hostesses mentioned this to us. This caused half of our party to leave because it wasn't fair nor was it mentioned to us in the beginning. I'm not sure if I would come here again simply because of how much of a hard time they put us through to enjoy drinks and a meal, which is a bummer because I was really interested in trying this spot.

Yelp
I would give this place a zero if I could! To start off the bartender (who I found out was the mgr) couldn't remember what I ordered! I had to tell him three times that I wanted a vodka tonic which is a very common drink and it tells you what is in it! He tried to up sell me some expensive vodka but I had to tell him no three times that the well vodka was fine and he asked me what was your drink again? He then poured me the weakest drink ever! My friend got the happy hour margarita that was so bad that he didn't want another one. After two drinks and some nachos I got the bill and they had added a 18% gratuity for large parties! Since when does two people constitute a large party??? When I asked him he said that was their policy. So they actually don't have to be any good at their jobs (or nice) and get a tip for doing nothing! It's too bad for them because I usually tip better than 18% when the service is good! As for the nachos they were pretty small portions and had diced chicken that were so small that you couldn't even taste the chicken. I will definitely not go back there and don't recommend it to anyone!

Yelp
Fun spot with a great DJ and late night bites. This was a quick walk from the W hotel and was entertaining. We were looking for food around 11:30 pm and stubbled upon 3rd base. We tried the truffle fries, mushroom pizza and fish tacos. Our favorite was the truffle fries with the ranch. The pizza and tacos were filling but lacking in flavor. Our server was awesome and very attentive. Wouldn't mind popping back in here.

Yelp
Still very consistent. I started ordering shots because the drinks were weak a little tonight. Great spot to meet people and get some good bar food

Yelp
3rd Base LA is a great spot to catch a game at. I've been here twice in the past week, and I'll probably be back soon. My friend is a huge fan, and it's easy to see why. Ample TVs, a lively crowd, cool bartenders, and of course, a fun menu. What's not to like? To eat, my friend and I split the Chicken & Waffle Sliders. To drink? Pacifico. I wasn't that hungry, and the main objective was to watch the game. The bar is open seating, and luckily we were able to grab 4 seats in a row. There has been a wait for a table both times I've been. It's hard to beat the view from the bar though.

Yelp
there were only 10 people in the restaurant yet it managed to be some of the WORST service ive ever gotten in LA. from the moment i walked in the hostess didn't speak or tell me where to sit. once i sat at the bar the bartender never came but then promptly greeted a man who sat down after me and gave him a menu etc. i had to verbally ask for a menu, to place my order and for water. the food was cold and i couldn't even tell anyone because they were ghosts. terrible experience. there are plenty of other quick bites in this area that take their job seriously.
