Austin Dive Bar Hole in the Wall Will Stay Open With New Lease and City Funds - Eater Austin

"A new brewery opened in Round Rock in June, as reported by Community Impact. 3rd Level Brewing is found at 1201 East Palm Valley Round on June 10 by co-owners Amy Bradley, Clint Bradley, and Ross Winner. Clint and Ross had co-hosted a podcast where they talked about Texas beers called 3 Beers In, which led to them wanting to open their own brewery. The beers include sours, IPAs, rice lagers, and more, with retro video game references. It’s open from 3 to 1 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, 3 p.m. to midnight Friday, 10 a.m. to midnight Saturday, and then from noon to 9 p.m. Sunday." - Nadia Chaudhury

Google
First time last night and absolutely love it! Been looking for a sour beer for years that I enjoy and I found five last night! I bought cans to bring home and share with my friends. Can’t wait to try their next rotation. The atmosphere is cozy and staff is welcoming. You know you walked into the right place when you see three separate D&D campaigns going on 🤩 can’t wait to bring my friends here, will be returning!

Cool brewery with these guys living our their dream. Beer is great. Atmosphere is fantastic. My friends have been trying to get me to come up here forever. I drank beer. The beer is good. The owners gave me a quick brewery tour. You should come here! Kolaches next door.

Google
Fun brewery serving many delightful flavors and categories, including flights for sampling a variety. They have a video game theme, and we enjoyed playing one of their many board games with our drinks. Their activity programming makes coming back repeatedly an exciting prospect. They have friendly staff, a little tasting room with several tables, and a small parking lot with a food truck.

The price for the flights were really reasonable. The four beers I tried for the flights were delicious. The atmosphere was really nice too. More personal kind of atmosphere. Me and my wife had an awesome time! Thank you 3rd level brewing!!

Can I just say I love the vibes here?! We had a great time!!! A little chilly, but I very much prefer that since there was a Mario kart tournament going on and playing videogames in a tournament can cause a little bit of perspiration! Haha! Great drinks. Tried my husband's beer and it was really good, and I appreciate the mocktails and theming.

Google
Awesome brewery in Corsicana! Great location, friendly crowd, nice staff! Two beer options keep it simple, and the beer is gooooood!!

Hands down glad I learned about this place at the Beer Fest in Round Rock. I have not had a bad beer yet. Plus the decor and events they host are so much fun. Pet and kid friendly!

Yelp
I've been to a lot of breweries around CTX, and this brewery is the one I've went back the most. It's a small brewery, but I feel welcomed in a way. I like the ambiance inside and the games they have. It just feels relaxing to get a beer flight and play a game in this brewery. The workers are pretty nice. I'm looking forward to coming back soon again. I haven't tried the food truck outside yet, but I likely may not because of the cost. Parking is okay. Love the mural.

Yelp
My wife and I love to play games here and savor the tacos. I don't drink so I'm really happy they added athletic. This is a great third space to have in our community.

Yelp
Nerdy beer lover heaven! I can definitely see this becoming a regular place for us based on the quality of their beers and the overall positive and welcoming atmosphere. I love when there are a few interesting beers on the menu and they recently had a Peppercorn one! My favorite beer was Redacted, a dunkle beer. Most of their beers have cute game related names! They have wine and non alcoholic options to choose from too. You an also purchase cans to-go. They have a large selection of games to use while you're drinking and socializing. There is free Wi-Fi and some gender neutral, single stall bathrooms in the back. There are a limited parking area in front and to the side of the brewery. There is a nice covered patio outside with seating and the night we were there they had a wonderful food truck serving tacos. The one downside is because it is small, if you go on a trivia/event night it's very loud and can get fairly full. But with that being said, we accidentally came during a Star Wars trivia night (of which we know almost nothing about) and we got super caught up in the passion and fun. We'll have to come back for a night where we can play. Looks like there is a Holiday themed one soon, maybe I'll see you here!

Yelp
I've been here twice for the non-alcoholic potions, but I hear the beer is also good. The white "restoration potion" is my favorite. It's elderberry lemonade. I also really like the hibiscus tea "health potion." Bar staff is friendly and was very patient with my wandering attention that first visit. On both Saturdays I've been here, there's been a taco truck called Los Regios with a delecious selection. I like the doraditos tacos, which are fried crunchy with your choice of meat and served with cilantro, onion and a lime wedge on the side. For first-timers, there's a dish called "Nunca he Venido" which translates to "never been here." It's basically a sampler with different items, meats and both salsas. The menu is in English except for dish names, which are bilingual. There's also a good selection of card and board games. Cute nerdy decor, too - as others have mentioned.

Yelp
Great brewery with a great story. If you want to try some brews born from creative brewing techniques, this is your place. My favorite El Hefe Grand Imperial Hefe. Cool nerd/gamer atmosphere. Check it out.

Yelp
A sharp turn in after the Sunrise Road intersection is the small building of 3rd Level Brewing, a great new concept brewery with some very fun Easter eggs to bring friends and enjoy a variety of beers or mocktails. The staff are incredibly friendly and let us taste the "Health Potion" mocktail, a strong blend of hibiscus tea and lemon. Each mocktail has edible glitter to make them look more like magic potions, a great touch. I ordered a flight of beers, which seemed like a fantastic deal at $2-$3 per sampler glass for beers of my choice. I got the sour, an IPA (Deadhorse), the hazy IPA, and the oatmeal stout. $9 total! The sour was light and fruity, a refreshing summer drink that wasn't too sour. The Deadhorse IPA was a west coast style IPA with heavy hops and pine notes. The hazy IPA was an east coast style with fruity pineapple notes, but a bit of a bitter and strong aftertaste at the end of the glass. The oatmeal stout was dark (but not heavy) and a little bitter with roasty oatmeal notes. I loved the theme of this place and they mentioned that they will have Switch setups and a projector in the future for movie or anime nights. I'm really looking forward to what they do in the future!

Yelp
Suer cool quirky little brewery. Video games themed and has a fun vibe to hang in. Staff was super cool and friendly, very fairly priced and just a good all around spot. The beer is great as well, had a flight and enjoyed all the varying styles. Lots of board games to play if you are in to that. A bit small, but cozy. Drink local!

Yelp
Walking in the place it is a bit small, BUT the decorations were fun, something cool to look at on each wall. There is a patio outback to enjoy if there are no seats left inside. They have games for playing and a nice selection of beers. They even have 1 seltzer if you have someone with you who may not be a beer drinker, so that's nice. That one reminded me of a Capri Sun, which is pretty easy to drink. The grape sour beer was super interesting. If you're in to sour stuff, this one is a must try! We enjoyed the patio, live music, and food truck. Pretty relaxing day hanging out here.

Yelp
I continue to be so impressed with 3rd Level. In our house we just call it "the brewery" at this point because this has become our regular spot. Over the summer we worked with the owners to rent out the entire brewery for a reasonable price. Staff treated my friends and family like their own and were gracious hosts for a very special event. They continue to pump out new beers just often enough that you can try something new most times you come in. We have our favorites but everything new we've tried we end up purchasing as well. Our personal beer fridge is always stocked up with 3rd Level cans. There is a taco truck that lives there most afternoons that serves some of the best street tacos I've been able to find in the area. We love the barbacoa tacos

Yelp
This review comes from my first and only visit back in August 23'. The establishment was clean and still relatively new. Beer was fine, nothing special. limited seating at bar but cool video game decor and the play/take on their beers. My issue with this brewery was the blatant racism that occurred when one of the owners was having a conversation with a few patrons at the full bar (appeared to be friends) and some racist remarks were made about hiring a couple of specific "help/laborers for the back" to help keep costs down. If people want to speak that way in public, it shows their class but the disturbing part was the owner found it funny and engaged in the banter instead of curtailing that behavior. Paid for our first and only round of pints and left. I wanted to support this brewery near my house but shame on them. Potential patrons... take it up to the 5th level and visit Pinthouse instead. Superior service and beers. Can't support the little guy here.

Yelp
We came here on a rare night we had a sitter so we were pretty excited to finally check this place out. We read it was kid friendly but ...there was no way i was going to bring my kids till i checked it out. There were a few kids there but kids, not toddlers. but what warmed my heart was there was a changing table in the ladies room, with wipes, diapers and everything. now that, is thougtful. That's love. 4 stars for that alone. Most people (dont have kids, or kids are grown) don't realize how hard it is to leave the house when you have babies. so, this was beyond for me. the beer was different and spectrum was wide. there was a purple tasting beer we had (something about ninja turtles) and it was delish. it was the last of that batch and someone else bought up all of it. We shared a flight and we enjoyed it, although it was a tad warm. Happens towards the end of the night at many places. None the less, I was a cute spot with a little outdoor seating area.

Yelp
Delicious beers, friendly staff, small shop but it's clean and cozy! They had 5 draft beers on the tap, I tried everything but the IPA and liked all four of them, especially the strawberry sour and the danckel The taco truck that's parked outside...not so much

Yelp
First visit and so happy we did. I had the strawberry sour which wasn't as sour as most so very pleasant and easy to drink the full pint. My husband had the Japanese rice lager and loved the different flavor. Cool ambience complete with fun, nostalgic board games. Food truck and patio outside so can make a night of hanging our here. Staff were friendly and quick. Will be back soon!

Yelp
Cozy and colorful brewery that opened just a week ago in Round Rock. They're still in their soft opening with 4 beers on tap (two of them IPAs). Come out here to hang out, grab food at the food truck out front, and play some board games!

Yelp
Checked this place out briefly when we needed to pass some time. It's a small spot, but the beer was good and there's an outside area to sit. We went soon after they just opened to the public, and there were a lot of families with kids. Because this is a smaller space, inside was very loud and chaotic with the kiddos. We chose to sit outside to get a break from the noise, but it was a very hot day in August so we didn't stay long. I know they just recently opened, so I'm sure they're working on making things better. I liked the beer, so I'll be back again. There is parking onsite, but it is limited. There is also a food truck, but I'm not sure if it's there all the time.

Yelp
Family friendly and dog friendly. Great food trucks available. We love the selection and the variety. We always live bringing friends to hang out and don't mind bringing our kids.

Yelp
Why did I wait so long to come here?! I love their beer (big fan of IPAs). They also have other things to drink like red ale and fun seltzers. They have cool events each night and I loved the music they played the entire time I was there. ALSO I have little kids and their changing station is amazing! Thank you for thinking of everything! I plan on becoming a regular here.

Yelp
3rd level Brewing is a wonderful family owned brewery! They have amazing beers, wine and non alcoholic options. Dogs are allowed inside and outside. They even have food trucks too! I highly recommend checking them out.

Brian E.

Yelp
Really good beer, friendly staff, and a family friendly environment. They had a food truck and lots of games to play. Try the Dunkel and the Blonde. This will be a great spot once it warms up a bit.

Yelp
Food truck available with delicious food. The service is great and the bartender was able to provide details about the various beers on tap. The ambiance is family friendly with a treasure of iconic board games. Great place to relax and hang out.

Yelp
Great place, cool atmosphere, beer was cold, food truck outside had good tacos. The super green beer hit the spot on a hot day.
