A scenery like no other. Beautiful view while you eat. The food is really good and so affordable! Pizza, burger, shrimp roll, and 2 teas came out to $58 before tip. Server kept walking past seeing my tea was empty. They have a person filling your water glass that does a really good job though. You only get 1 napkin.

A hidden gem on the west side – absolutely worth the trip This has officially become my new favorite spot ever! From the moment you arrive, it feels like you’ve left El Paso entirely. The place is beautiful, with an amazing lake view that gives off a completely different and refreshing vibe—definitely worth the drive out to the west side. The food was incredibly flavorful and well-prepared, and while the prices are on the higher end, it’s 100% worth it for the quality and experience. The drinks were also excellent, and our server was friendly and attentive, adding to the great overall experience. If there’s one thing to note—it’s the restrooms. Finding them turned into a bit of an adventure, with some back-and-forth between the receptionist and restaurant staff. It took more time than usual just to locate them, which was a little frustrating. But honestly, everything else was so good that it didn’t take away from the experience. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for something special and out of the ordinary in El Paso.

This restaurant is a true gem. Our server, Vince, was very friendly, attentive, and created a genuinely welcoming atmosphere. The patio was adorable—cozy, charming, and perfect for a relaxed evening meal. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. We can’t wait to go back!

We had a nice dinner with a shrimp ravioli and pasta. The pizza was good, (ordinary), but the other two meals were flavorful and were big portions. Beautiful view and setting. Try asking for the patio area, it’s really nice.

Found this place after leaving a dog adoption event near by. We had never heard of it, so as foodies we of course were intrigued. The menu looked solid and seemed to have great scenery. Once seated, I was immediately badgered by flies, which is something in a resturant that drives me nuts. Wait staff was nice enough.my wife had the seabass and that was pretty tasty. Nice and flaky with a rich buttery texture. I ordered the chef special pizza, basically a chicken bacon ranch pizza. The only really enjoyable part was the bacon. Whatever cheese was used solidified so quickly that by the time it got to me it was just kinda separating from the crust/sauce. The chicken was pretty overcooked and the crust was still a bit doughy towards the middle. I'd honestly rather have went to somewhere like pieology. The pizza was very disappointing. We also ordered calamari.it had a good seasoning in the batter, but they magically came out in under 5 minutes. Pretty sure they had been batch cooked and left to keep warm under a heat lamp. The meat itself was even slightly overcooked amd chewy. Overall I was really let down. Some other reviews on here were raving so I was excited. I'd skip this place in the future. Oh yeah, for the flies I believe, they has electric big zappers sitting in the dining area adjacent to tables. I think thats disgusting as they literally explode with big matter when they kill bugs.

Google
Definitely an overhyped restaurant. Came here because it’s all of a sudden trending in El Paso, the service was absolutely horrible. 10 minutes to get sat down, another 10 minutes to get waters and a waitress to greet us. By then we already knew what we wanted to order. To our surprise they took 45 minutes for a chicken pasta and a burger. Was not busy at all. Wasn’t amazed with the food it’s good but not what we expected. I’m sorry but I’ll never be coming back.

Google
A local friend recommended it, thought Ive visited almost all the restaurants, but 40 Love is surely a nice surprise! Very chilling atmosphere, especially seated at the outdoor area by the pond. BUT, the food is only fine ..... Ordered the Onion Burger 🍔, honestly not impressed, the patty is overcooked, and the onion is not caramelized as it stated in the menu.

Google
I was so impressed by this place that I had to leave a review. Went there for brunch on mother's day and was expecting complete chaos like all the other places I have been on mother's day. We made a reservation for 12 a couple of days before and when we got there our table was ready outside near the pond. There were waters and silverware already at the table when when we were seated. Our waitress was very attentive and was on point to visit our table every 10-15 minutes. The menu was awesome and the prices were great! This is the perfect chill and relaxing restaurant that you can ask for. You can sit next to the pond and watch the fish and turtles if you like or you can sit inside at the bar and have a cocktail. I will be back for sure to take my wife for a romantic date. I highly recommend this place! Well done 40 Love!

Yelp
This is a hidden gem! Connected to Tennis West, open to the public. We've dinned here for brunch and dinners and consistently love the food, great selection of coffee drinks and lattes, wines and sake, sushi and a full menu of salads, starters (tuna tartar and hummus are our favs), as well as main dishes. Views are beautiful, there is a small lake with water fountains, a walking bridge, koi fish. Staff is friendly, helpful, and attentive. Would recommend for a date night, gathering with friends, or even special meal.

Yelp
A nice little spot in El Paso. Served was great. I can't remember his name but he did an excellent job. The facility was clean and the food was good.

Yelp
First time at 40 Love Restaurant's, it's like a country club restaurant, it was really busy for brunch. We were seated right away on arrival. For my meal I got the Turkish eggs, French toast, pomegranate mimosa and a side of fruit. I really liked the Turkish eggs, two poached with tri-colored potatoes. The eggs were absolutely delicious, potatoes were crispy how I liked it. They had like a tzatziki sauce that was really good. I really enjoyed how they brought the pomegranate juice separate from the champagne, so you can mix it to your liking. I wasn't impressed by the French toast. It was too soggy in my option. We sat out it was a little warm but the view was pleasing. Great service but it took a while for us to get our food, it was understandable because they were busy during brunch time.

Yelp
The waitress didn't bring me my drink, she didn't tell me that they didn't have the soup I had ordered. I ordered a takeaway dish, he charged me for it and after waiting 20 minutes I asked him what happened, and he tells me that they gave it to another table and that he had to wait 15 minutes for my dish. Too bad the good food but I don't come back for the service.

Yelp
Wow, what a great place. The ambience is amazing. Nicely upscale without being stuffy or complicated. Lovely piano music on this Saturday night. The food dishes coming out are beautifully played and do not appear skimpy. I ordered the spaghetti with pesto and garlic and added the beautiful, plump shrimp for an additional $12- worth the price. I had a glass of Alamos Malbec for only $8. The cappuccino was $5 and dessert was $10- a key lime pie that I shared with four people. So light and delicious. This place is a new hidden gem in Rl Paso and deserves our support!

Yelp
Went there for brunch. Took very long to get our order, messed it up took forever, didn't allows us to seat outside but saw a costumer give hostess a bill and they were sat outside. Nice view food not that great

Yelp
The food wasn't worth the price. The crab cakes tasted like salty tuna fish, and the fish itself didn't have any flavor. The only good thing was that the fries were better than the fish. However, the drinks were good. The service was slow; it took 10 minutes for them to attend to us after we sat down. The ambiance was loud, which I understand they can't control. Additionally, the lake smelled like fish. The price is way to high for the quality of their food.

Yelp
40 Love?....more like 40 HR WAIT! , We waited two hours for our food and we were constantly told "five more minutes " which turned into a two hour wait! We got fed up and left, will not be returning soon. It would have been nice to be warned, instead of waisting my time.

Yelp
First time here and I loved the atmosphere. The ambience was nice and staff were extremely friendly. The food was delicious and there was variety to select from their menu.

Yelp
We had a fantastic evening at Forty Love located at Tennis West. Forty Love, is a new restaurant located at Tennis West in the Upper Valley. It has offers a great patio surrounded by pine trees and a large pond that offers a relaxing zen feeling. It's at 1 Tennis West Lane, along Westside Drive and near Country Club Road. What a pleasant surprise as it is in my neck of the woods! 40- Love offers a combination of great sushi and sashimi with modern American fusion food. A very eclectic menu to say the least and a relaxing and Western Texas comfort decor! Service was impeccable very pleasant and effective. The food was a little bit on the salty side but all dishes were well prepared with original and beautiful presentation. The bar looks great and is a pleasant destination for drinks and cocktails. Come on Yelpers let's support this local business!!!

Yelp
I have been here a few times before. We were busy throughout the day so we arrived at 3:30 to a mostly empty restaurant and were asked if we had a reservation. We did not and were seated in about 10 minutes. The strange part was that they took our food order but said they would not put it in until 4:00 because it was between lunch and dinner. So 30 minutes after we were seated, they put in our order and our food came out at 4:37. We also had to ask for silverware and so did other customers. One customer even walked to the kitchen area to get her own small plates. Good food and friendly server but they should have things like this worked out by now.

Yelp
We had an incredibly disappointing experience at Love 40 Restaurant. As someone who works in the service industry, I was appalled by the lack of professionalism. Our server, Mafr, clearly didn't know what she was doing. It took her 20 minutes just to take our drink order, and once we placed our food order, she disappeared entirely. After waiting an hour for our food, I finally got up to ask the kitchen about our order--only to find out it hadn't even been started. Meanwhile, Mafr was sitting on her phone and only got up after seeing us talking to the kitchen. She claimed they were "backed up with two tables," which is absurd considering the restaurant wasn't busy and only had two other seated tables. After an hour and a half, we still didn't receive our food and decided to leave. This was hands down the worst service I've ever experienced, and we will never come back. Completely unacceptable.

Yelp
We had a great time with friends from the flaming sushi to our individual dishes we all ordered and were happy with. The cocktails and the ambiance were both also great. Bathrooms are clean. Would definitely revisit!

Yelp
Great food and peaceful atmosphere! We really liked the crab cakes and the Amaretto cappuccino (I can't remember the exact name of the drink). Pleasant staff too!

Yelp
Had written a review 14 days ago, waiting on "Alejandra" to get back to me, evidently customer care is of zero importance to this place. I have tried repeatedly to hear back from her, texting her, and leaving messages on her phone. I foresee this place is going to be a failure and miserably so. Its pathetic that you cannot go to a restaurant and get good service, hot food and feel like you are a valued patron. Their food is lousy, WAYYYY to expensive, and usually cold, and it takes forever for them to even attend to the customer. its like this is some kind of kindergarten training center for wait staff, and the cooks ( they certainly are NOT chefs!) cannot make a hot meal to save their lives! I will make sure I let anyone know about how horrible this place is, definitely not worth the aggravation. You are supposed to add a star rating to be able to post a review but this place doesnt even deserve a one star, that's giving them too much acknowledgement, but it be able to post, I had to give one star. That's way too generous!

Yelp
Had brunch here on a Sunday. I ordered the brioche french toast and a rose latte and both were great. Another person in our party ordered the quinoa pancakes and they were not good at all. The texture was too thick and the taste was bland. It was also advertised that I comes with berries and it didn't. Service was super slow. Had to remind out waitress to get us water.

Yelp
I'm giving this an above average grade because I ordered a pastrami sandwich and got some low-grade beef sandwich instead. (see attached photo). Otherwise, everything else was wonderful. The calamari was great, and I heard the mussels were something to die for. I had to get a real pastrami sandwich from Firehouse to renew my confidence in pastrami. Just advising everything on the menu, I'm sure is great; just DON'T ORDER THE PASTRAMI! Good luck!

Yelp
I've been here twice - once for lunch and once for dinner. Both were just spectacular. Waitstaff was super friendly, prompt and accommodating. My new favorite cocktail is their refresher with Botanical gin and Italicus. We've tried the poblano soup - oh so good; the 40 Love salad - fresh greens and wonderfully matched flavors; the bison meatloaf- husband said it was tremendous; but my favorite had to be the green chile pasta which I got with shrimp. Pasta and shrimp were cooked perfectly. Servings were plentiful and I can't fail to mention the presentation- artful. Can't wait to come back.

Yelp
Good food off of the beaten path. Would recommend. Beautiful setting. Matcha drink was good but not filled to rim.

Yelp
Amazing service & delicious food. We come at least once every two months. The Shrimp or Scallops are delicious & cooked perfectly. The golden beet hummus appetizer is a great start for 2-4 people. The Key Lime Pie is a great finish. Comfortable in the main dining area. Suggestion: Get some small air conditioners for the room that faces the pool/ patio. It was rather warm in there. Donna

Yelp
Good food and service. Acoustics are deafening. Can't go there at night when crowded-- it's like a high school cafeteria

Yelp
Nice atmosphere and pretty good food. Very similar to the Greenery menu. Will keep going and recommending. Hope the menu develops a little more. But very solid!

Yelp
We had an amazing dinner here recently! It's hidden back in Tennis West but when you get inside you feel like you have transported to phoenix or Santa Fe the place is beautifully decorated. The background music is the perfect sound level for enjoying your meal. The service was outstanding. Now the food...I had the pork chop which was literally the best pork chop I have ever had! It came with Brussels sprouts and a little bit of sweet potato puree and the three flavors on every spoonful were amazing. It was so good I will return again! Everyone at the table thoroughly enjoyed their meals as well and of course the appetizers were fantastic too. Well done! We will return!

Yelp
Had kind of a mixed experience on our visit to 40 Love. The atmosphere here is great with a modern Japanese type feel to it. The wait staff was also very accommodating and friendly. They did a good job with service. The best part of my meal was the soup. It had lots of flavor and came with a piece of bread on the side for dipping. You can also order sushi here (same owners as Koze). I ordered two rolls and both were fresh and tasty! For the main dish, I had the Octopus. To me it was cooked a bit over (burnt) on the tail and a bit under (chewy) on the main part. The adobada sauce they put on it also did not add much flavor nor did the sides. I can get much better octopus at restaurants in Juarez for much less. My wife got the Mediterranean salad. It was a nice portion, but overpowered with too much mint in the salad. Mint is a very powerful flavor and it should have only had a leaf or two in it. While I know it is a higher end restaurant, I also think it is ridiculous that all of their salads are in the $17 range and do contain any meat. To just add chicken any salad is $25 or $33 if you get steak in it. That is crazy for a salad but hey I wouldn't complain so much if it was a really good one. Overall, I think it is worth giving this place a try if you are looking for a nice dinner out, but it is a bit hit or miss depending on what you order.

Yelp
While the ambiance is great the service we received was terrible. I ordered the Anaheim Pasta with chicken and they brought it to me eith shrimp. Our friends did not get the salad they ordered and one of their pizzas was cold. They never refilled our drinks, we had to ask for place settings snd salt and pepper, which took almost 5 minutes to get. Hopefully they get better staff. I recommend going somewhere else.

Diane B.

Yelp
The ambience is very nice. My sister and I split 2 appetizers (calamari and steamed mussels). Both were very good and the bread that came with the mussels was nice, but there could have been more of it and a side plate to put the shells on would have been helpful. Our service was good and the young lady was very nice. She did pretty good considering it was her first week. We will definitely be back.

Carrie B.

Yelp
We were so delighted to eat at this wonderful restaurant. The food was superb and the service was good too. The owners also did a great job of decorating the place. Very good for many occasions!
