"Nadine Moore operates this birria stand on wheels (it’s festooned with hearts — you can’t miss it), but she’s anxiously anticipating her first brick-and-mortar location at the soon-to-open Cyanide Cider in South Nash. Until then, you can follow her whereabouts on social media and nab some of her fan-favorite crispy birria tacos oozing with cheese as well as her quesatacos and birria ramen." - Jackie Gutierrez-Jones, Eater Staff

Yelp
Best Birria and amazing owner/staff. My husband and I have followed her around since we moved to Nashville, wherever her food truck was you can bet we were there. The ramen is CHEFS KISS, I can't say enough amazing things about the food and service. We went to the opening inside Cyanide cider and per usual, 10/10! So happy she has a kitchen we can visit more often!!!!

Yelp
What a great idea to make birria ramen. Delicious broth, tender meat. If only real ramen noodles were used instead of cup noodles. Tacos were also pretty good, cucumbers and radishes go very well with grilled taco shells. They just need a little bit more cilantro, perhaps?

Zhi Ming W.

Yelp
The place it's currently located in is nice and very welcoming, a great place to go and hang out with some friend. The food, there is really nothing good to say about it, as someone who have try real birria taco, I could only call this an expensive imitation, the meat was not season well, the shell was hard as an rock and the salsa is no where traditional. If you are looking for an real birria experience, avoid this place at all cost, but if you want somewhere to chill, maybe check it out

Yelp
Tried this place for the first time inside of Cyanide Cider and LOVED it. Got the taco trio and can't decide which taco was my favorite. All three were delicious and the consume was outstanding. The hot sauce had the perfect amount of heat as well. Can't wait to go back and try the ramen next time!

Yelp
Wow! First time at the brick and mortar! Tacos were amazing! I had the beef tacos. The spicy sauce is superb. You can definitely tell the food is made with love. I love the fact that the tacos are cooked like a quesadilla so the cheese blends harmoniously with the meat and flavors! Service was fast but not rushed. You can definitely tell it's all heart in the food

Yelp
Finished my second visit to Birria Babe this weekend (finally trying the birria tacos). Must say, both visits on point. My other favorite place for birria tacos, if you can't find Nadine and crew, is Family Tacos on West Charlotte. This is a small food truck that packs big flavors. I, stupidly, forgot to get a picture of the taco trio (beef, lamb, and chicken), but I did find one of my ramen and a friend's taco from October 11th (both times at New Height Brewery). Food? Very nice flavors. Consume is nice. The small side of pickled veggies and lime top everything off nicely. Of the three, I liked the lamb the best and will opt for the lamb trio (extra $4) in the future. Ramen is also very good, although I wonder how it would be with non-packaged ramen noods (if you want to do it at home, add baking soda to Italian pasta, as alcolizing is the trick - you're welcome: check back here for more helpful hints?). Since I pretty much finish every review this way (except the train wrecks?). Will I return? Yes, wholeheartedly. Love Chef Nadine Moore and her creations. Limited menu? Sure, but limited is not a bad thing when you do it well. NOTE: Menu limited enough, these two pictures are fairly representative. But, limited does not mean bad ... in this case it means awesome (insert gif of cartoon yelling "awesome" here). For those asking, you can look up where the Birria Babe truck is on Facebook. Breweries are common spots and she seems to get out to New Heights a couple of times a month, at minimum. Have also seen the truck setting up at Living Waters on Trinity Lane.

Yelp
They had me at birria. They kept me with the food. Tried this truck at a special event and let me tell you I will follow it so I can try more in the future. The staff was very friendly and even though they had a crowd they had an efficient ordering system. The tacos and consome were definitely worth the (limited) wait!

Yelp
TL;DR: Yes Yes Yes Food: Had the crispy meat trio; one of each - lamb, beef, and chicken and each bite was better than the last. I had just completed 50 minutes of HIIT and the only thing that could bring me back to life were these flavorful tacos dipped in consume hitting my mouth. Service: extremely friendly, even apologetic that they were out of the ramen, even though I ordered after 50 other people! Vibes: people who love food making food for people who love food.

Yelp
BOMB! BOMB! BOMB! You really have had to have your taste buds jacked up from having covid to not like this food! This woman is trying to get extra husbands with this food! I really wanted to take some cornbread and dipped it in the leftover broth from the noodles! Not to mention I only have one taco. I wish I had more! She needed to be slapped that taco was so good! And I definitely want to try the lamb Taco next time! And for you all the sudden I'm allergic to gluten and can only eat vegan gluten free type people... She has vegetarian or either vegan items on the menu as well.

Yelp
A burst of great flavors from the food at Birria Babe tacos! I was searching for good birria tacos in Nashville and saw that Birria Babe Tacos was going to have their food truck at Living Waters Brewery one night so I went there. They are a food truck so they travel around, but they post their schedule on their website and they go all over Nashville. Good food and very friendly staff. The Birria ramen is unique and I was definitely skeptical about it, but it was really good. The soup base is the meaty birria soup and they give you a spice packet to make it spicy. It has birria, ramen, and cheese on top - definitely an interesting combo. For the tacos, I tried the trio: chicken, beef, and goat and I recommend getting this to try all the meats! It comes with consume which is what you use to dip the tacos in for extra flavor. The meat was juicy and loaded with flavors. During this time, they were out of the Birria fries, which I cannot wait to try another time.

Yelp
Overflowing with flavor! Wow! Birria Babe food truck is top notch. Super flavorful with great ingredients and very friendly service with a big smile. I had the Crispy Meat Trio of tacos, which includes one taco with each of the meat options (chicken, beef, and lamb). They were all exceptional. I think the beef was my favorite in terms of overall flavor, but all three were really tasty. Oh, and these are crispy tacos, but don't let that fool you. They aren't those packaged hard shell tacos that crack in half as soon as you take one bite. They are soft tortillas that are made crispy, I assume by frying in a skillet. So these are like soft tacos that are a little crispy when you bite into them. My wife had a trio of soft tacos with chicken, which were also excellent and very flavorful. All of the tacos have just a little bit of spicy to them, which was fantastic. They also have a green sauce (tomatillo, I'm guessing?) that is tasty, and an orange sauce that has more spice to it. The little food truck is adorable and cute, by the way. It is actually a trailer rather than a proper food truck, so it is really small, but it delivers very big flavor! Let me add this: The food truck is still outside right now, and the tacos were so good that even though I'm full I am super tempted to go back out and get another order!

Yelp
We were the lady customers of the night and received service like we were the first. We were greeted with smiles and explanations of the menu's items and apologies for being out of the Goat Birria option. You walk up to a good truck right before close, you know it's a chance they're out of something, so it was really nice how kind they were about it. The tacos themselves were absolutely amazing. Perfectly seasoned and juicy chicken. The taco was so good I really didn't even need to dip it. But when I did the broth did not disappoint at all. The Ramen... ummm.... look its so good and such a different experience that you've really just got to do yourself a favor and try it.

Yelp
I still dream about these tacos. I got the regular beef birria tacos. I am not a big cheese lover so I asked for light cheese and they were very accommodating. Super fresh ingredients and great portion size! The consume had a great flavor with a hint of cinnamon but it complimented the beef well. I loved the crunchy exterior with the juicy meat inside. My sister got the trio with chicken, beef, and goat. She was very surprised by how much she loved the goat over the chicken and beef. The truck was easy to find and everyone was so friendly. I will definitely try it again if I'm back in town.

Yelp
Food trucks are so overpriced these days but these were decently priced, tasted amazing and filling. I tried them at the 12 South Farmer's Market. Surprisingly there wasn't a long for the truck. I originally ordered the soft shelf quesatacos but Nadine (the owner) recommended I go crispy so that's what I ended up going with. It was about a 20 minute wait which seemed pretty long for a food truck that wasn't very busy. It was well worth the wait. Each taco had a very generous amount of shredded chicken which was very flavorful. The shells were also PACKED with flavor. They were not hard shells like I expected which I ordered the crispy version so I am not sure how the soft shell tacos would compare.

Yelp
Literally the best tacos I've ever had, and I've eaten a lot of tacos. I had the chicken quesabirria tacos and they were incredible. If you ever have a chance to eat Birria babe DO IT!!! I'm still thinking about the tacos days later.

Rachel I.

Yelp
With Nashville's sudden influx of birria options, the competition is getting tight, but Birria Babe is quite the contender. I stuck with the usual beef crispy quesa tacos (there's also chicken and goat, or a trio of one taco of all three), and the quality of the meat itself was the highest I've had in town. With three in an order, I held off ordering their ramen too, though it looked and smelled incredible when handed to other customers (and I'll definitely be back for both soon). The service was also super kind, though it honestly didn't have to be when serving from a truck. My friends and I picked our tacos up when Birria Babe was at Jackalope Brewing, and the owner swung by Jackalope's patio a couple times over the course of our night to make sure everything was good. You can find their schedule on Instagram @birriababenash, and trust me, it's worth scrapping your dinner plans at least once this week to follow them wherever they'll be parked.

Yelp
Stopped by Birria Babe Tacos popup at Nolensville Farmers Market (meets each Saturday) and ordered their crunchy 3-taco sampler (see pics). Both me and my wife loved these tacos, which were not too spicy (optional for those with a spicier pallet). The meat, cheese, and other ingredients worked great together. Have the napkins ready though as these are juicy and full of flavor!

Abhishek J.

Yelp
Tried BirriaBabe while they were at one of my favorite local breweries and decided to try the trio. The tacos were messy, as you'd expect from birria, but absolutely delicious and definitely thought about getting more...if they were still open. I even took a bite of my friend's birria ramen and that was delicious too. Definitely want to go back and try more of their menu items.

Yelp
I discovered Birria Babe over the summer outside of Jackelope in Wedgewood Houston, and I've been going back for more ever since. Food: tacos, but she always has something special too, like ramen, empanadas, or tamales. The goat birria tacos are the best, but I usually order the trio of meats because it's fun with the different flavors. It's the best birria in town, and completely worth the price. Atmosphere: it's a food truck, and it's small! The kitchen always looks spotless, but keep in mind you may have to wait after you order if it's busy. It's hard to keep up with a long line in the small kitchen!

Joshua P.

Yelp
Alright so I met Nadine at the kitchen she cooks and preps her food at and she is just an incredibly kind soul. She offered to give me a container of some of her chicken to try out and man was it so incredibly juicy and flavorful! Fast forward a couple days later, I went to her food truck at a farmer's market and everything from the truck itself, to the few employees, and of course the tacos were amazing. I can see the love and passion they have for their food and making sure it's top notch quality for their customers. I'm so excited to see them grow and thrive in the Nashville food community, they deserve the best! Go find the Birria Babe truck to satisfy your flavorful taco cravings :)

Yelp
I was actually on my way to get food from somewhere else when I decided to stop and try out this food truck. I'm new to Nashville, and have been on a search for go-to places to eat. I am happy to add this place place to the list. The service was great. I initially was going to go for the soft tacos, but the recommendation from the server was that they were famous for the hard tacos. So I got the trio, which includes a taco for each type of meat, beef, chicken, and goat. I liked them all, but I think the chicken was my favorite. Everything was seasoned well, and the meat was very tender. I'll definitely try them again. My only drawback is that they are a little pricey, but they are good, so if you feel like splurging go for it. It's worth it.

Raam S.

Yelp
Any idea at what times they open. I ate their ramen one time. It tasted so good. Didn't find a website. Pls let me know what are their timings

Donta' K.

Yelp
Great locally owned business the food is to die for. The food was delicious and well seasoned.

Yelp
I wish I had taken a picture of my crispy taco trio, it was so bright and colorful! If you have not had Birria style tacos before, you are in for a special experience. The meats are perfectly roasted, moist, tender and flavorful. Fresh cilantro and onions on top, fresh cucumber and radish on the side. I love love love fresh toppings. The sauces were all made fresh. The beautiful bright orange habanero salsa and the creamy green cilantro salsa were perfect compliments to the tender meat inside of the crispy flavorful shell. Unique concept, well executed. Wonderful service!

Yelp
Got to try this place finally, they were outside of the Jackalope Brewery WH this past Saturday. Nadine is amazing and really puts a lot of love into her dishes, you can tell! I'm from CA and have been eagerly waiting to find great Birria tacos in Nashville, Birria Babe did not disappoint. Great menu options, I went with the 3 crispy tacos, one order of beef for me and I got an order of chicken to go for my bf. Food came out relatively quick and drinks are available for purchase from the ice chest. I got to sit outside on the Jackalope deck and enjoy my tacos while sipping a Coke, it was amazing. Flavor of the tacos was phenomenal. I will be trying more food options at a later time for sure! Check her schedule out on her IG page!

Yelp
Awesome, tasty, and oh so filling! Customer service on fire!!! You can't go wrong with the monthly special or the signature tacos

Samantha E.

Yelp
Having just moved from Phoenix we have a bit of a taco obsession and these are some amazing tacos. From the tortillas, the filling (we had both the chicken and the beef), to the salsas (so amazing), and it even comes with cucumbers and radish on the side all were delicious. The ladies were so nice making the experience amazing all the way from ordering to eating. Highly recommend finding where they are popping up next and giving them a try!

Sloane M.

Yelp
Not only is the food fantastic but Nadine is super sweet. Love the birria tacos & ramen.

Jennifer J.

Yelp
I had their birria ramen (ordered one beef and one chicken) and their combo taco plate. Everything was SO delicious!! They noticed I ordered one thing with no onions and immediately texted me to ask if I wanted everything with no onions. They are so thoughtful and so sweet! The food was AMAZING! Definitely a food to taste in Nashville!!

Craze A.

Yelp
AMAAZING food!!!! If we could give 10/10 stars on here we would!! The whole experience from start to finish was great! It doesn't matter what we order, we end up loving it!! The birrias and ramen are exceptional!!!!! The food smells so delicious and is very flavorful!!!!!!! We went 2 days in a row it was so good! Great prices for the portion sizes. The owner is awesome! She even took the time out the give us a background in Birria origins. Definitely going for more birrias very, very soon! Such a warm and welcoming environment. If you haven't tried Birria Babe Tacos then you're missing out!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Amber B.

Yelp
I've had Birria Babe Tacos several times now and this babe really doesn't miss! All of the owners food is SO good and you can tell she put her heart and soul into her dishes and into this truck! This is still a super small operation and from what I can tell is really just the owner, her husband, and maybe a couple of other people, so if you're looking to support small and local in Nashville, this is a great pick. The owner Nadine is friendly and cares about her customers getting quality product every time. Will definitely be eating here again and bringing friends!

Pierce A.

Yelp
Beat tacos I've had in Nashville! Hands down. Perfectly crispy. Amazing flavor. Salsas we're great. All around wonderful.

Gayle R.

Yelp
I drove from hermitage to try the birria ramen and ended up with ramen and tacos. They both met and exceeded my expectations. The cheese in the ramen was a bit different but didn't take away from the overall flavor. I would definitely eat here again.

Michael W.

Yelp
Had the meat trio with the consume, and it was great! So flavorful, crispy, and juicy... Paired very well with the beer at Jackalope Brewery, and it resulted in a tasty and fun experience on a Saturday evening

Elaina C.

Yelp
First time having birria, and the tacos were so delicious! Crunchy, savory, and everything was SO fresh. While visiting Jackalope, I got the taco trio and my friend got chicken tacos. It was an amazing meal, and I loved both salsas and the veggies too. I'll definitely be getting them again, and have to try the ramen one day. Thanks again for the amazing food!

Elizabeth H.

Yelp
This is the best birria I have had in nashville! I am constantly breaking my diet for this food truck because it's by far my favorite in town!

Chloe B.

Yelp
So delicious!!! Me and three friends devoured these tacos!! When they came to jackolope brewing co. I also love that it's women owned!!!

Ammar F.

Yelp
Fire food. Great staff I have the taco trio and it was superb. I just wish they were open every day!
