Love this restaurant. We've been to our share of Mediterranean restaurants on the island and this is by far our favorite. Their food is fresh and their service is impeccable. My kids are requesting to come here because they like the food choices and how they feel when we come to dine here. The ambiance is clean and comfortable.

It was my first time coming to the restaurant. I have heard so many good things about it. Now I can see why. When you enter, you are warmly greeted. The waiter was kind and attentive. Their food was delicious and fresh. We each enjoyed our choices. Appetizers: Assorted Mediterranean mezzes: This was a good choice because we had a little bit of everything. My favorite was the smoked eggplant dip and the hummus. SIGARA BOREGI- my favorite Cigar-shaped pastry with cheese and parsley FALAFEL PLATE Deep-fried falafel balls paired with parsley and seasonings ADANA KEBAB- delicious! Hand-chopped lamb, red bell peppers, and spices skewer-grilled, accompanied by a house salad and rice LAMB CHOPS- grilled to perfection! We went to Riva Mediterranean and Turkish Cuisine on a Saturday morning to grab some breakfast before studying. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly and seated right away. The atmosphere was nice and cozy, perfect for a relaxing morning. We had already decided what we wanted, so we ordered the Eggs Benedict Avocado and Lamb Doner Wraps. While waiting, we were given complimentary bread and butter, which was a nice touch, however the butter was too cold and hard to spread on the bread. When the food arrived, the presentation was amazing. My fries were perfectly crispy, and the lamb doner was tasty, especially with the delicious sauce that came with it. My girlfriend enjoyed her Eggs Benedict Avocado, but she did mention that the potatoes were cold, which was disappointing. Overall, I enjoyed our breakfast experience and would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a spot with good food.

Went for a birthday dinner with my in laws. Tried the sigaro (like a mozzarella stick), mixed Mezze platter (delicious), and falafel (perfect, not dry). Also got a gyro platter for dinner. Everyone enjoyed their dinner very much, service was great. Was also surprised by how busy this place got. Desserts were all delicious as well.

A must-go!!! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was friendly with comfortable seating, and the staff were welcoming and accommodating. We had a party of 9 for brunch. For breakfast food, pancakes came with fruit, whipped cream, and a scoop of vanilla ice cream! The rest of us ordered off the lunch menu, starting with the mezze platter and the falafel which were fantastic and served with bread. The chicken doner plate was yummy, with flavorful chicken, fluffy tasty rice, and a side salad. Our server was super helpful, attentive, and funny! Would highly recommend this place for a larger family outing or casual gathering with friends.

Delicious food and very attentive waitstaff! Went with my family on a Friday around 5:30. We ordered the yogurt dip and gozleme for appetizers which were absolutely delicious. Our entrees were also very good. Two family members got lamb dishes, the lamb was cut so thinly. For dessert, we ordered the kunefa which was great. My mother mentioned to our waiter that she was thinking about getting the pumpkin dessert which was online but not on the regular menu (assuming it was a seasonal special) but decided against it since no one else at the table wanted it. The waiter then brought a sample for her for free which was so kind! Will definitely be coming back!

Our New Year's 2024 dinner at Riva Mediterranean Turkish Restaurant was truly exceptional. The ambiance was warm, and the aroma of Turkish spices set a delightful tone. The food was the standout, showcasing authentic and beautifully prepared Turkish flavors. The service was remarkable, with our waiter, Kasi, providing attentive and warm hospitality. His thoughtful gesture of offering a complimentary dessert to my daughter added a personal touch to our family dinner. Riva is more than just a restaurant; it's a memorable experience of genuine hospitality and exquisite Mediterranean cuisine. We left feeling like part of the Riva family, eagerly anticipating our next visit.

Staff is very Polite Food Is Amazing my go to is Mediterranean Salad with Hummas and Chicken and Beef shish plate with substitute Salad for steamed veggies 10/10 Definitely come here

I went here with some family. For starters we got the mixed mezze platter and it was amazing. The Shepard Salad is absolutely incredible, I would recommend getting it with grilled chicken. We also ordered the Chicken Doner which was super tasty. Everything from this place taste so fresh. I would highly recommend this place.

Update to my last review: Management contacted me, said it was an honest mistake, and gave me the $70 overcharge back! Everyone makes mistakes, we're all human, and I was impressed with their promptness and attention to this matter. So now I can whole heartedly recommend them, as the good and service were excellent, as I had stated. More details: We were a party of 6 people. We ordered mixed grill, mezze platter, chicken wings and a cheeseburger Food was excellent and fresh. Server was friendly and attentive. The entire atmosphere is very homestyle and warm. They welcomed my senior citizen father, as a respected elder and an old friend. And, if you have any issue, let them know, as management does their best to be fair and make you satisfied. What else can you ask for?

This place never disappoints! It's my family's favorite place to go on the island. The food is amazing and the service is just as amazing every time. We've been here countless times and every time they keep their standards of service and quality of food top notch. They're also very nice about kids and family friendly. We have a toddler who can make. a mess and they're always so kind about it. All the food is amazing, we've tried most of it at this point. Couldn't be happier!

Let me tell you this is one of my favorite places in Staten Island, the service was amazing, the food was perfect, the warm hospitality from the owner and workers where so nice. We got take out here today 1 cold appitieser 1 hot appetizer 1 main course 1 dessert for 2 people more then enough we still have half to re heat for tommorow and the quality was good

Fresh, real lamb gyro, perfectly cooked chicken chops and kebobs, the falafel was herbacious, chickpeas were nice and course, and they make amazing breakfast omellates as well.

No good for the price the order 4 shrimp and without test high price for nothing this is first and last time made order for this place

Great mediterranean feast every time we come back . the mixed meat grill is amazing. Hummus, Baclava and please try the red wine from Turkey .

Undercooked vegetables. Cold food. Lack of care. I really want to like this place. The first few times I ordered it was delicious but the past few times the food has been rushed undercooked and bland

Fabulous food and service. Staff couldn't be more accommodating. Restaurant is spotless, and decorated beautifully. We've been here several times, and the food is consistently delicious. We haven't had any drinks yet, so I can't say if it's a generous pour or a measured shot. Place could be a little dimmer,to make for a nice drinking atmosphere.

Came here for lunch today I had a salad with chicken and my husband had beef shish it was very tasty, food portions were good and service was on point. I will definitely be coming back.

This was my first time dining at Riva and it will not be the last. The Food was excellent. I had a chicken gyro wrap with fries and for dessert Turkish coffee with Kanzandibi (Turkish custard) Which was an excellent dessert choice I highly recommend. The Waitstaff was excellent attentive and friendly. I now think I did not tip them enough. The Decor and cleanliness of the place is great. The only complaint is that some people will have their high beams on in the parking lot shining inside which is not the owner's or staff's fault. ( to those drivers in the lot You are on a busy Staten Island street with lots of lighting, so there is no need for HighBeams) 5 out 5

Very good food and beautiful atmosphere. The staff was wonderful explaining the different menu items. The lamb donar and beef saute were absolutely delicious. Plenty of parking too.

I waited for 2 hours on Mother's Day for food and had to call and cancel then got the food and was iced cold and food was terrible will never order from Riva again if I could give them a zero I would

Total rep off on my way home from work. Wanted lamb over rice. Figured I would give them a try. They're a new business in town. I usually go to the Halal guy on Richmond and Arthur kill. I got half the portion for triple the amount and it wasn't even half as good, I won't be going back!

This is now my favorite restaurant in Eltingville! I've been here numerious times. I love the modern atmosphere, authentic Turkish food, and friendly service. I order online from them a lot and go in for either brunch with friends or dinner because they have a FULL BAR! great addition to the area.

We went to Riva for the first time yesterday, we will definitely be going back very soon. The hummus, baba ghanouj and grape leaves were excellent, the chicken kebab with rice and salad was delicious. And ... The rice pudding was one of the best I've ever had. The servers were vey efficient, and extremely polite. I would definitely recommend trying this restaurant. Open.
