Decided to try Sadelle's after reading great reviews and hearing about it on a celebrity gossip blog (apparently it's frequented by celebs in NY). I arrived 10 minutes just after they opened, as I wanted to make the most of my day and time in NYC, and I was surprised to find the restaurant almost half full already. I did not have a reservation but was happy to be seated quickly and attended to very well. The service was extremely attentive and professional and I knew from reviewing the menu I wanted the Leo omelette. And it was amazing! Simple with obviously eggs, caramelized onions, salmon and creme fraiche on top. Not too oniony or fishy with the salmon, just a good balance of flavors all around and a great breakfast to start my day. I had a side of rye toast with jam and butter but should have ordered the challah instead (just preference, the bread was fine) coffee and a mimosa that really didn't give me the buzz I wanted but the meal made up for it! I will add that the restaurant was extremely warm! I get it, it's winter and cold and rainy outside, but it was almost unbearable inside but I was too embarrassed to mention that to the waiters. From where I was sitting, I was placed closely in between two groups of people and didn't want to be that person complaining but idk if that's normal for the heat to be cranked up so high for a restaurant already small and practically full of people? Just a thought but glad I got to dine at Sadelle's and would recommend it as a great place to dine at.

A CLASSIC for a reason! Sadelle's is an absolute MUST VISIT when you're in NYC, doesn't matter if you've been before or have never tried, you have to make time in your trip to go. I'd recommend making a reservation beforehand so you don't have to worry about any wait times, and if you're coming straight from the airport like my girlfriends and I did, they let you store your luggage at the side of the restaurant so no worries there ;) We ordered the bagel tower and french toast, both of which you cannot skip out on! Next time I come back, I'm getting the exact same thing - it's THAT good. For the bagel tower, we ordered 3 Everything bagels with the House Salmon and Whitefish Salad. Insane. Literally speechless. Both were perfectly seasoned and the combination of the House Salmon with the cucumbers, tomatoes, and capers was heavenly. The Whitefish Salad was not too fishy whatsoever and completely blew my mind! I didn't know what to expect, but it was amazing. For the french toast, also a must order! It's famous for a reason. I'm not even a french toast girlie but theirs is on another level. It's not soggy and texture-less at all, which is why I'm usually not a fan... it's perfectly crunchy on the outside but fluffy and soft on the inside, SO GOOD. And with the syrup, wow, literally you cannot come here without ordering it. So impressed by the food and super cute interior, and would highly highly recommend coming! I know I'll be bringing friends/family and stopping here each NYC trip I make!!

i got the sadelle's tower and the french toast. we went here at 8am---we put in full effort to get that bagel tower. i've heard great things about the french toast at this place, and it did NOT disappoint. it was so so delicious. honestly, probably one of my favorite french toasts i've ever had. the bread was so moist it almost had a donut like consistency, yet the slightest crisp on the outside. it was utterly delicious, especially with the berry compote. as for the bagel tower, it was so fun. we all fought over the everything bagels. we did not know it was unlimited bagels however--that somewhat, not close at all, but somewhat explains the $125 bagel tower. i do think $125 is a ridiculous price for this though. it also came with smoked salmon, tomatoes, tuna salad, salmon salad, cucumbers, capers, and other smoked fishes. although it was really fun to make my bagel have all different topping combinations and it was fun to eat, it definitely was overpriced for what it was. honestly the value should be more around $60. especially since i don't think people would eat MORE than two bagels each and eat all of the refilled bagels. oh well, i guess it was worth trying once. it had a great NY brunch ambience though, not sure how to describe that but i liked it.

The French toast still can't be beat and neither can the latke royale although the atmosphere continually gets worse. This time we were shoved into a corner so that the person on the bench seat (me) was walled off by the wine cooler. The poor guy (separate party) next to me basically was in the person next to HIM (another separate party) lap to give me enough space to use utensils. Ugh, but I just can't give up the best French toast in town so it is what it is lol.

Walked in without a reservation on a Wednesday morning around 9:45am and was told there would be a 45 minute wait. We put our names down and walked around soho to kill some time. The wait ended up being closer to 70 minutes though. We got the sable and eggs Benedict, which both were delicious. The sable was perfectly smoky and paired well with the seasoned tomatoes, cucumbers and capers that came with it. The bagel was tiny. Like very tiny. But honestly, I was pleasantly satiated. The eggs Benedict with salmon was also tasty, but just a tad bit too salty. Food and vibes were good overall but I personally don't think it's worth the hype. Definitely recommend booking a reservation because I wouldn't say it's worth the wait at all as a walk in.

Sadelle's is such a cute iconic tourist spot in NYC. the food is delicious and brunch is just such a vibe here. Service is great but fairly quick since they're trying to seat and get people out quickly. I would recommend making reservations here when you plan to visit since it's always crowded.

The sole purpose of this review is because I miss New York. I miss my bestfriend, I miss Sadelle's. My best friend and I have eaten there several times & every time it smacks !!! All the workers are super friendly. I look forward to my trip to NY this summer & eating at Sadelle's

Absolutely 10 out of 10. Came here for breakfast - note: be sure to make a reservation - they opened at 9:00 and there was a line when I arrived. I was seated promptly and I have to admit, the overall decor of the restaurant is very nice. They even have outdoor seating for those that want to sit outside. They have a bar area where you can get coffees and mimosas, etc. I ordered the house smoked salmon on sesame bagel with coffee. The coffee was nice and strong and I didn't have to wait long for my food. The salmon with tomatoes and cucumbers are brought out on a tiered tray and the bagel with cream cheese was separate. The salmon was very good and paired with the tomatoes, capers and cucumbers was amazing. The bagel wasn't too big which was a good thing for me as they fill me up fast. They do have other offerings such as eggs and French toast and when I go back again I will try one of them. Can I take a minute to talk about the service? It was amazing -my waitress checked me repeatedly and didn't allow my coffee cup or water glass to be empty. It was a very nice experience and one I wouldn't mind experiencing again.

I was excited to try Sadelle's as I had heard good things about their brunch. I suggest making a reservation if you are going to their weekend brunch. We were sat upstairs and had a lovely view overlooking the downstairs part of the restaurant. Our table ordered several things not knowing how HUGE their portions are. The matzo ball soup is served in a bowl, not a cup, so keep that in mind when ordering. The tuna melt was delicious. Our table also enjoyed the triple decker sandwich. The star of the show were the veal dumplings. I would go back just for this dish! Our waitress was quite lovely and very kind. I would definitely recommend! I can't wait for my next visit!

Fabulous brunch place with delicious salmon and bagels elevated. There's also eggs, French toast, pancakes etc. everything is delicious and place is fancy. It costs a certain amount but is worth it for a special occasion. Service was good and would definitely recommend. Reservations needed a month in advance.

I came here for the Bagel Tower, and it did not disappoint! Not only was the Tower an experience, but the pairings were delightful! The tower comes with dill, tomatoes, cucumber slices, and regular whipped cream cheese. Each protein you order will include 1 bagel but you could always order another one the side if you're sharing. The salmon serving was enough for 2 people to share.

Try to reserve super early. We tried to look up for reservation 2-3 weeks before our vacation to New York. But the only time available was at 8:30 AM. Fortunately, it's only few min walk from our hotel. Once we were fully seated, it's already half full in the big restaurant. We tried: - House Salmon( w/bagel, cucumber, tomato, cream cheese): I like how there is gluten free option bagel. But surprisingly this didn't end up to be my favorite. - Egg Any Style( sunny side up eggs w/ potato and bagel): potato's are super crispy but very flavorful. It's not like those barely cooked mushy potato. Recommend. - Tomato Soup: sweet tangy. My favorite item ordered from Sadelle. Highly recommend!

To be contrarian, and because I loved it, I'm going to go five stars on this breakfast/brunch experience despite the high prices ($27 bagel with lox and cream cheese) the hostile "we won't seat you until the entire party arrives" policy, and the $50/person late-cancellation or no-show fee (which applies on cancellations less than 12h in advance). Why? The food was great, the bagels were made right next to our table in a glass-walled kitchen. The smoked salmon was epic. The service was great. The scene was, well, the scene -- the kind of place where people wear pink shirts with linen jackets and Loro Piana baseball caps straight out of Succession. And bring their dogs? Reserve early, it's not easy to get a table. Show up with the whole gang, otherwise you'll wait. And beware that everything is pretty darn salty, which I liked but let's say they are liberal with the salt on everything (even the lox it seemed) so if you're not cutting it with the cream cheese it can be pretty salty.

Came here for friday brunch with some friends! I love how cute the vibe is here and getting to sit right next to where they were making the bagels fresh, was so cool. I highly recommend getting the salmon lox and whitefish salad, breakfast potatoes and sausage!

Amazing house salmon bagel platter! We ordered the whitefish salad and house salmon platter- the whitefish salad was decent, but the house salmon stole the show with its delicious flavor and perfectly thin slices. Service was excellent, making the experience even better

This is one of the best brunch spots I've been to. Aside from the amazing presentation, the food itself was so good. The bagel and lox were good but the tuna salad spread was even better. We also ordered the French toast. When it came out, I was a little surprised at how basic it looked. After taking a bite, I realized how good it was. Possibly one of the best French toast entrees I've ever tired. Outside was crunchy and inside was fluffy. Definitely the top dish there.

Perfect for any occasion, it's a must-try for bagel enthusiasts and brunch lovers alike. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!

Deducting one star only bc it's so annoying to get a reservation here and impossible on a Sunday to walk in at actual lunchtime. Otherwise, gotta say that despite the sceneiness, Sadelle's is impossible to walk into for a reason! The salads are perhaps the platonic ideal of salads -- ingredients are all fresh, delicious and somehow chopped to precisely the right size to mix all together perfectly. The Cobb is one of my favorite lunches in the city, period. And the pancakes -- which somehow never show up on best in the city lists -- are, well, among the best in the city! Crunchy griddled butter flavor on the outside, fluffy and light on the inside, not heavy....perfect, from a pancake connoisseur! The pigs in blankets are also amazing on every level and a must order every time. I keep doing Resy alerts (which do often work out) for weekend brunches here for a reason!

I'm not a huge breakfast person but I LOVED this! The entire experience was great! The atmosphere was absolutely adorable and the food was delicious as well! I got the smoked salmon bagel and it came out on a tower! It was worth it just for the presentation, let alone the fact that everything it came with was delicious! We also had the salami omelet which was a first for me; I would have never thought to put salami and mustard in an omelet but it worked! This is the perfect spot for a celebration breakfast for a birthday or something!

even for tuesday brunch you should probably make a resy! i was glad i did as there was a line but maybe it was because it was the tuesday before thanksgiving. the food was as good as I was hoping for and service was kind. this was the best lox i can remember tasting - omelette, bagel, cream cheese and drinks were great too. I enjoyed the chives in the cream cheese and sprinkled on top. Definitely a cute and trendy brunch spot and my only wish is that prices were a bit lower for the portions.

Literally the most PERFECT place to have brunch in Soho on the weekend! It has a cute little vintage feel I loved how you were also able to watch them make their bagels in the center of the restaurant. I was able to make a reservation in advance online for a Saturday and I would highly recommend doing so because this place was packed! The food is incredible and I loved the variety on the menu. The only downside is the seating arrangement. As a party of 2 we were stuck in a corner with an extremely small table that barely fit the 2 dishes we ordered and looking around it was the same case for other parties of 2. As for the food, we ordered the smoked scottish tower and the leo omelette. I loved how thinly sliced the smoked salmon was and just because it's thinly sliced doesn't mean there wasn't a big portion of it!! Both the tower and omelette had a hefty amount of salmon and it was delicious!

Love this place. On of my favorite for a good bagel and lox. The ambiance here is transformative. The food and service is some of the best. Brunch is a must!

Came here for the bagel tower. We liked the salmon and it's a pretty good deal to split among 2 people. Also had the orange juice which was a bit steep at $8/glass and would probably skip next time. Service was good.

Go for the French Toast. Seriously the best I've ever had. Everything else we ate was very mid and you can get better smoked fish and bagels at many places in NYC (at half the price)...but I will be dreaming about that French Toast. Service is efficient and it's a fun scene if you like dressing up for brunch.

Say yes to the bagels, bacon, and grapefruit. You can't go wrong. Wonderful service as usual. Cool ambiance.

MMMmMM this socal girl has never had bagels like this before. We got the tower with a side of potatoes and eggs benedict salmon bagels, which was perfect. The meat, veggies, condiments, water, bagels, and service were all delicious and top-notch. I absolutely loved the atmosphere inside. It's a 1.5-floor restaurant with high ceilings, so it feels grand and luxurious. You can see workers making the bagels in one glass room and butchers(?) busily catering fish orders, which all adds to this restaurant's glamorous industrial brick-and-mortar core New York feel. It gets really busy and crowded, so always reserve ahead of time! The effort is worth the food & experience.

Can a brunch place be any better than Sadelle's? The answer is no!!! LOVED it! Will move to NY only for this place! Yes you need reservation if not you should expect 1:30 hour to get in. But the neighborhood has so much to explore so of you are not starving, you ll be fine! The fish and bagel bring life back to your mouth! Fish tower is a must! We got house salmon and sturgeon! Ah was melting in my mouth! The bagel itself need another review! Make sure to order side of bacon too. You have not had anything like that before. It cooked perfect amount crispy but still juicy! Who does brunch without mimosa? So order couple glass of mimosa so fulfill your experience. Again loved everything about this place.

5 Stars Sadelle's is a true gem in NYC, and their French toast is absolutely phenomenal! Hands down, the best I've had in the city. Each bite was a perfect balance of crunch on the outside and moist, fluffy perfection on the inside. The flavor was divine--just the right amount of sweetness without being overpowering. I can't stop thinking about how delicious it was--like a little slice of heaven on a plate. If you're in the city and love French toast, Sadelle's should be at the very top of your list. I'll definitely be back for more!

This is hands down the greatest brunch you probably ever will have. The FRENCH TOAST alone is absolutely to die for. Not to mention the incredible eggs Benedict. Both dishes are truly top tier culinary creations. You will NOT regret coming here.

Although it was the most expensive breakfast I've ever had, it was worth it. The food items are wonderful, and we got to watch a true artist--the salmon slicer--preparing the most thinly slices lox in NYC.

Came here for brunch with my kids before a show and service was wonderful, the atmosphere was beautiful, we were just left a little uninspired with our meal. Everything was good, don't get me wrong, it just wasn't amazing as I suppose I was hoping for. They did an excellent job accommodating a dairy allergy so that was appreciated. If in the need for some place fun and cute I would recommend this spot.

Unbelievable. Came here on a Sunday morning and it wasn't too busy (but of course make a reservation)! We were pretty hungry, so we got the House Salmon and Scottish Salmon for our bagels and the French toast - heard it was great from a rec and it didn't disappoint. Everything was amazing and the fish was refreshing. The house salmon was a bit fishy, so if you don't enjoy that try the smoked Scottish. We were dying to try another fish after finishing everything so we ordered the Sable afterwards. Not the biggest fans of the sable, but it was nice to try a fish that was more soft and oily. Next time I'll be back with a bigger group so we can order the Sadelle's Tower!!

Got off a plane and went to Sadelle's really early to grab a table. They started turning away people after that so go early or get a reservation. Had to get the salmon stack and two extra bagels and it fed three people. Incredible but everything bagels in New York are crazy salted so warning if you're not used to that as in you but Costco or Trader Joe's everything bagels it will be different when you get them fresh.

Came to Sadelle's with super high expectations after hearing/seeing all the good reviews. The food was good but definitely overrated and overpriced. My friend and I split both the French toasts and the salmon eggs benefit. The eggs benny was good but a bit too salty for me (ironically I think it was the salmon that was too salty, which is what they're known for). And the French toasts was sooo oily - like not to be dramatic but I almost felt like I could squeeze the oil out if I tried. Service was decent (nothing spectacular) and the restaurant itself is quite cute, but it is a bit on the louder side if you're looking for a quieter place to talk!

Hostess with short black hair and nose piercings was super rude, Monday Oct. 14z wouldn't even let me get a yes or no answer out when asking me a question. Main reason why i'm leaving such a low review. First asked for my name upon check in however i didn't give my name, just my number( i guess they use resy and i was unaware) and was saying " i didn't leave a name, but my number is..." and was proceeded to be cut off in an angry tone asking for my name again. After she found my name, she asked if outside is okay, and before i could even reply, she said "great!" in the most monotone, off putting-rude tone. I can't even say it's her personality because we heard her talking in a friendly tone to her coworkers. As someone in the industry, I never have wanted to leave a bad review but she left such a sour taste in our mouths at Sadelle's, especially when you are the one who's suppose to greet every customer.. And it didn't happen with just us, she did this with each group she sat. Our server was nice and helped pick the french toast. Bagel's are honestly really small though. I understand making profit but when a bagel is half the size of a normal one, for 20 bucks with just 1 egg, bacon and cheese, it's a bit of a rip off.

A NYC breakfast MUST! If you're looking for a fresh bagel, fresh lox, fluffy soft eggs and strong coffee - this is the spot! Super cozy ambiance, especially on a cold day. The decor is super cute, quaint and the service was also attentive and kind! Will definitely be returning!

Visiting from Florida and going intoSOHO to shop so my daughter researched restaurant places to eat. We chose Sadelle's because we both like smoked fish and wanted to treat ours. We recently were elsewhere for it so were wanted to compare places. The interior is upscale and lovely, service was fine. We ordered the Nova lox for 2 and bagels. It came with sliced cucumbers, capers and cream cheese as well. Sesame bagels were lightly toasted. This is the first time I have had capers with the fish nd found it to be a very nice addition. The cucumbers were a nice palate cleanser. The fish however was a little disappointing. I understand it should be sliced on the thin side but being able to see thru the slices was quite disappointing. Would I return, Maybe but not for the fish. The other offering looked interesting, so maybe.

Fancy place for bagels and lox - you are paying for the ambience and pretty dishes etc. who doesn't love their bagels on a pole and lox on a layered tray- fancy fancy The bagels are on the small side but tasty. Lox sliced super thin and my favorite was the house salmon (whichever is the first on the list-lol) I had an espresso martini but my girlfriend wanted a cortado but they didn't have any espresso drinks-so I'm guessing no real espresso in my martini- shocking - only regular coffee!?! For a NYC breakfast/brunch place?!?

My recent visit to Sadelle's for a Saturday brunch was nothing short of exceptional. This is definitely a trendy social media spot. But I'll admit, it was fun just for the experience. Bagel tower. Just do it. I preferred the Smoked Scottish over the House Salmon. I also asked for extra cucumbers during our brunch (I love the crunch). My friend didn't love her Benedict for brunch. French toast was also a perfect sweet bite. We split this as our brunch dessert. One star knocked because I do think it's overhyped and why is it so difficult to get a reservation??

Sadelle's doesn't quite live up to their hype. The ambiance is rowdy, plain and not suited for special occasions. The salmon eggs benedict lacked flavor, texture, and was small in portion size, especially considering the price. The french toast was overly sweet and too dense. Overall, the quality here is lackluster.

Leaving review to warn people that a plain lemonade or arnold palmer is 15$ each .... Apparently it's the same button for any non alcoholic drink? Sounded wrong but she wasn't budging. Food is average at best, bagel extremely thin and not New Yorks best. Tuna melt was good and only 3$ more than a lemonade so do with that information what you will!

Sadelle's is my top brunch place (thank you to my bffff for taking here for my birthday way back in May, and now my fiance for enjoying as much as I do lol). Like. Yes. This place is worth the hype. The bagels are itty bitty, but the fish, tomato/onion/caper helpings, and set up makes all the difference. The soft scrambled eggs with caviar (the splurge on the baeri royale IS. IT.) wowowowoow. And finish off with that super fluffy french toast. Ambience wise.. it's always full. Unless you're one of the few last customers still sitting around at 3pm. It's that good. Grab that reservation DAYS ahead.

One of the best brunch I've ever had!! At first, I thought it was meh, since it looks like a regular American brunch, nothing special.. BUT!! This is my favourite brunch so far in NYC! The smoked salmon is really good served with poppy seed bagels and the soft scrambled egg with fish roe is A MUST ORDER!!! We had 3 orders for only 2 of us hahaha and we devoured all of it! Love the ambiance and it is located in the heart of SOHO. The service is phenomenal as well, food came pretty quick. All in all, Sadelle's NYC is a must try

Amazing, delicious, cute brunch spot in New York. Always crowded but worth the wait and quick service once seated. By far my favorite place in the city. The bagel toppings and sweet selections are unmatched. Everything on the menu is a must order--your table will be filled but it's all worth it!

One of, if not the #1 eating experiences we had while visiting The City. We ordered the Blueberry Pancakes, The Cobb Salad, the Breakfast Sandwich (not the healthy breakfast sandwich) and the Chicken Sandwich. We did not order the French Toast or The Tower and that might have been a mistake. Also, for drinks we ordered the Cucumber Margarita and the Blood Orange Spritz... the Margarita was the winner! Overall, everything we ordered was top notch! Our server (Jeff) was awesome! The only negative would be that there are only two (one person) bathrooms. The line for the WC can get long and it's right outside the kitchen. This is not a reason not to try this amazing spot. We will go back the next time we visit The City.

We did walk-in on a weekday for brunch and waited around 20 minutes to get called back for a seat. We ordered the french toast and salmon omelette! French toast was so fluffy but too sweet for me, so we didn't end up finishing all of it. My favorite was the salmon omelette since I love salmon and the sauce tasted so good with it.

I had a reservation for 3:45 pm on a Saturday. It was such an odd time to eat, but the only options were 8 am and 3:45 pm. I got a Cobb salad and my friend got blueberry pancakes. The Cobb salad was super filling and the perfect amount of food. My friend liked her pancakes but didn't finish it because it was a lot of food and again, 3:45 pm is a weird time to eat. Despite it being 3:45 pm, the entire restaurant was packed! I would come again for a proper brunch and try one of the towers and French toast'
