49th Parallel Café & Lucky’s Doughnuts - McGill

I love this store, the coffee, donuts, and service are great. But can we PLEASE stop putting the donuts into paper envelopes. It completely rips off any toppings/frosting. It is my biggest gripe about this place and I wish they’d just put them in boxes.

Possibly one of the best cafés in the Old Port area: great coffee and pastries, beautiful interior decoration, spacious, friendly service. Expect a line up at rush hour. Highly recommended.

Stumbled upon this coffee shop while exploring Montreal, and I’m so glad I did! The coffee here is really good—rich, smooth, and clearly made with care. The space itself is cozy yet modern, with a welcoming vibe that makes it perfect for a quick stop or a relaxing break. It’s also conveniently located near some of Montreal’s main attractions, which makes it an ideal spot to recharge between sightseeing.

Fantastic Coffee & Cozy Atmosphere at 49th Parallel! I recently visited 49th Parallel, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish! The moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile and the rich aroma of freshly brewed coffee. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, perfect for catching up on work, reading a book, or meeting friends. I tried the flat white coffee, and it was absolutely perfect—smooth, rich, and expertly crafted with a velvety texture. Along with it, I had a choco caramel donut, which was the perfect balance of sweet and indulgent. The combination of the creamy coffee and the decadent donut made for an amazing treat. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, happy to recommend drinks based on my preferences. The attention to detail in both the drinks and the customer service really stood out. If you’re looking for a great coffee spot, I highly recommend 49th Parallel! I’ll definitely be coming back.

The strawberry donut and the orange cranberry was fantastic. Chocolate cake donut was so so. Place is a little pricy for donuts but some are worth it.

Loved the area and atmosphere. The people and the vibe are super cool, nice to pass by or work there. Tried their donut… found it okay for the price. The cappuccino is strong, hits a spot. Recommended.

Top coffee and donuts, staff is real friendly, probably one of the best places downtown. I really like the Venezuelan coffee, it's a bit sweet but a must in my opinion. The food is pricey I find but it never disappoints. The donuts and croissants are standouts. The atmosphere is great, lots of room to sit and it's very clean. Definitely a must for downtown coffee drinkers, there's a lot of good options and this one of the best.
