It's a pretty cozy place, the service is amazing, the drinks are delicious. The views? It is the goal of everything. You can see the city and have great photos. You can go with friends, with couples. It is welcoming and even intimate. The prices are quite affordable. Recommended.

Place is clean. Servers are friendly. Food great. Time to receive food not long at all. Just the server could've checked on us a bit more often.

Went on a whim. Our server Jonathan was fantastic. Came during sunset. Amazing panoramic city views. Chill vibe. Good music. Such a gem in the heart of the city. Felt like I was on vacation. Will definitely be back.

Everything about this place is so much fun.. It opens at 4 o'clock. It's get a beautiful view of the city. I like the charcuterie board and I absolutely love the lemon martinis

First things first: The idea of creating a beachfront bar on the 32nd floor of Times Square resort hotel makes no sense. They’re not fooling anyone. Their margaritas are solid, as they have to be. But they do not have their Landshark Lager on draft. Unacceptable. They had some insane explanation like they would have had to pipe it up 32 floors from the basement. As opposed to, you know, SENDING A KEG UP THE ELEVATOR. But apparently the bar is (was?) some sort of cool scene at one point. But hey, only in New York amirite?? 🍹

We wanted to grab a drink after watching a play, and one of my friends suggested Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville. I didn't have the highest hopes for a chain joint in Times Square, but she'd been before and said it was easy and nice. She was more than right. We went up to the 5 o'Clock Somewhere Bar, and it was somehow the most chill rooftop bar I have ever visited, a genuine Times Square oasis, floating above the busy streets. There were open tables inside, and we sat down and ordered before moving outside, where it was worth a little cold to enjoy the city view. We were able to snag a table there, too. I guess 10:00 on a Wednesday is an off-peak hour, but the place really was unbelievably civilized. Service was great, too. We had a waiter who took excellent care of us. The drinks were solid, not the main draw, but at least as good as they had to be. I got the signature Midtown Margarita, made with Maestro Dobel reposado tequila, Grand Marnier, Ancho Reyes, agave, lime juice, and egg white. I also tried my friend's W. 40th St & Agave, with Casamigo's blanco tequila, Grand Marnier, earl grey agave, and lime juice. These sounded less sweet than most of the menu and were still definitely on the sweeter side. I was happy with my margarita and would've stayed for more if it weren't already late on a weeknight. I had a lovely time at Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville's 5 o'Clock Somewhere Bar. I'd highly recommend it if you're looking for a place to drink in Times Square.

Beautiful views in NY! Fairly close to time square if you are in the area! The drinks are pretty good 8/10. It was empty so we had our pick on where to sit with the best view! Must try!

For a side car on this beautiful rooftop i would rather drink out of the toilet on the MTA train . Not only was my glass dirty but it had a very sour smell , and for the high price for the two drinks i asked the bartender to change it and he gave me another glass did not poor another drink and it still was the same outcome . I do not recommend the view is nice on a good day but the service was trash. I won't recommend and i wish i got my money back

My friends and I met here for after work drinks. We got there around 5pm (no pun intended) so it wasn't crowded but as time went on they got busy. First thing of course if the beautiful view and I wish it was warmer that day so we could have sat outside but it was still a great view from inside. For appetizers we ordered the Wagyu sliders, truffle fries and the tuna tacos. The food was great and the drinks did not disappoint but I have to admit, the prices are a bit on the high side. The staff is great and accommodating and the atmosphere is upbeat. Overall, we had a great time. I hope you visit and enjoy!

The service was atrocious! My friend and I were there before our show and it took forever. We asked for wine and water to start - the water came a half hour later and we had asked 3 times. The food came about 45 minutes late at which time we asked for it to be comped. Their idea of a comp was not to bring my friend's entree. Don't go

I tried this place for the first time. It's definitely a vibe. Wide spectrum of ages. All races. All cultures. Great music. Amazing view. Bartender - Hakim- Omg, so nice. And fun. He mixes drinks and dances and songs along to what's playing. Super fun. Place serves good. But by the time we got there. Around 1 am. It wasn't available anymore. It's inside a hotel Margaritaville. It has its own entrance. Just take elevator to the 31st floor. Not 32nd. Which is last floor. You would think it's roof top. But. No. 31st. Enjoy. It's def a nice spot to visit if in nyc and out late night. Enjoy.

A couple friends and I decided to check this out on a lark after MoMA and another cocktail bar in the area. We walked up to this Jimmy Buffett bar named after a relaxing vibe to discover a man wearing a suit serving as bouncer on the ground floor. We were then turned away *from a Jimmy Buffet bar* for wearing shorts in the summer, apparently Margaritaville now has a dress code! Keep in mind these were nice shorts, with a nice shirt, on a warm evening - but apparently Jimmy is OK with his brand in NY being attached to the deplorable snooty bouncer culture of NYC (I say this as a 16 year NYC resident). If you're looking to find a slice of Margaritaville in the city, this is not the spot. We then walked 1 avenue block past this bar to one of the best high-end cocktail bars in the city situated on a higher floor with a better view, and presumably much better cocktails - this bar of course had no problem letting people in wearing shorts in the summer. In retrospect, maybe it's good 5 o'clock turned us away.

This place is an underrated midtown spot! I came here with coworkers for after work drinks and, despite the downstairs bar being packed, the rooftop was practically empty. Though I do not drink, they have a pretty interesting cocktail menu that is more than just margaritas. They are pricey, but not out of the range of what you would expect to pay for drinks at a touristy hotel in midtown. The views were also amazing! If you are just visiting Manhattan, it's worth stopping by for a drink just to take in the sunset views while it is still warm outside. I will probably not be back but would definitely recommend!

This is great and very underrated rooftop bar here in Manhattan! This is a newer bar so it's not as crowded and reservations aren't required! The views are amazing and they have a DJ who plays pretty good music! The drinks are on the pricier side ranging from around $17+ but it's pretty expectable for Times Square. The service was great both times I went and everyone is kind! My boyfriend and I spent around $70 for 3 drinks and fries. Definitely check out this rooftop bar if you're looking for a nice view and good time!

Food and Views are off the hook. Would never have thought something like this existed in the middle of Times Square. You need to enter at Jimmy Buffet's Margueritaville entrance and take the elevator up to the 31st floor. Jesse was so nice and fun and the Bartender's were great too !!! Korean Meatballs and Yucca Fries were Holy $hit good !!!

It was sooo fun and what a great rooftop experience! Went there after eating at Landshark and took a lot of beautiful pictures! There was also a live performer singing and playing his instrument and then after his set there was a dj playing music for the peoples entertainment. It was a good vibe and good experience!

save your time and money and choose a different spot to spend your money in NYC! the view is great but that's where the greatness ends. the server took our order and we waited...and waited...and never got our drinks, it was steady but not packed and most people had their cocktails when we looked around. We decided to leave, stopped at the bar where the server was and let him know he was like oh what 3 drinks did you have again? shoot, I didn't put those in! Also while on the far end of the patio a table became available that I figured myself and friends could move to from where we were. Out of nowhere a hostess comes and is incredibly rude for no reason. "you cannot sit here I have it reserved for someone! if you're in the bar you need to stay in the bar!" Well, it was all part of the bar patio. Don't give this place your hard earned money

AVOID THIS BAR! SCAM ARTISTS! Left card behind the bar with Alberto the bar tender for the tab, had a nice experience, this was all take. Away when I looked at my bank statements that evening to see that the bar had continued to withdraw random transactions up until 1am in the morning even though we had settled up our bill at 7pm? Obviously thought they could take advantage of tourists

Amazing. The view is spectacular! You can see everything. The nye ball in Times Square, the edge, freedom tower. Views everywhere. Our server Jeimar is amazing. Pays tons of attention to detail and is very friendly. Food tasted great. Drinks flowing. Times Square is all of that. Nyc is back. It's beautiful here. Seats soft, vibe on ten. Definitely come here I'll certainly be back.

This place can be hard to find, but once you find the entrance with the elevator, you'll know where to go. It's a vibey area with good music. If you're non-alcoholic, you can get a Bud Zero as your drink. I had a good time with my friend, just catching up at this rooftop. The views were amazing, and it wasn't crowded. Great place to relax for the evening.

Amazing outdoor sunset view and live music with cool breeze. The place has a great cheese platter and the pinapple drink was pretty good. Starts to get busy around 6pm.

TERRIBLE and likely won't be back which is sad because I was hoping to make this the summer after work spot since I work close by. Went Wednesday 5/10 first the elevator looks like the service elevator and was slow hot and gives anxiety. Then the rooftop has an amazing view but the server was slow and inattentive. Our drinks while they were good took forever to come. My first margarita came in a plastic disposable cup and was barely half way full for $20+. I asked for the next drink to come in a different cup as I bartended before and understand portions and to serve a drink in a cup you know won't be full with the portions isn't ok. We ordered the meatballs charcuterie board sliders and yuca fries. The yuca fries were fried in oil that had fish and tasted so fishy... I hate fish. The sliders and meatballs were good and the charcuterie would've been perfect if the Italian salami didn't taste like someone sprayed perfume by the food and the grapes should've been washed. The entire time we were eating we didn't have drinks even though we ordered another round and the server checked on the table next to us three times nor did we have any water. The bus boy would grab stuff before you were done and without asking. I complained to the bus boy and asked if I can talk to someone who cares because he clearly didn't. He didn't get us water but was quick to snatch our almost empty cups. I complained to the server and she got a manager. The bill took 15-20 minutes to come and it wasn't that busy. The manager I also felt like didn't care. The best part was leaving and reuniting with a stranger from the event on the 31st floor to ask about his experience and he shared the same exact lack of service. The elevator leaving was nice but there was margarita spilled on the floor. Leaving there was people saying welcome to us as we were clearly leaving. Really should've tried the roof top across the street everyone there looked to be having a good time. Can't wait to give it a try!

Me and my close friend went to this rooftop bar on the 31st floor and it was some of the worst service that I have ever received. When we arrived it took about 10-15 minutes before we were acknowledged and asked what we wanted. It then took about 30 minutes of waiting before one of got the food we ordered, which was good but was overpriced for such a small portion size. My friend didn't even get the food that she ordered cause we had waited so long that we got fed up and cancelled the order. I understand working in the service industry isn't easy but it wasn't even busy when we came in and there was no valid reason why over an hour of our time was waisted

the drinks here were well thought out and DELICIOUS. i wish we would have ordered food, but we had already eaten, so next time. and we will definitely be back because the views were AMAZING! they even had a dj later on in the evening. the real highlight was the beautiful people they had working. dez surely has the right team to do an amazing job. we loved our tenders tristan and hakeem. it is definitely worth noting how exceptional the staff is because they really made our experience fun and personable. we got lucky finding this little gem! (don't think you can enter in maragritaville, unless you're staying there) there's an entrance on 40th street.

Got a table immediately! And then no one acknowledged us again. A table was sat behind us 20 mins after us and immediately got their drinks. We never even got to order waters. I did speak with a hostess (I think) who assured me someone would be over immediately... but no one came.

So unimpressive...Incredibly expensive for a really long wait time and completely mediocre drink. Rooftop isn't even that nice? Chairs are too low to see any view. What you would expect for a Times Square place but still disappointing.

Update: When they leave a comment telling you to email them about your concerns they don't actually respond to you when you send an email explaining what happened. I sent them an email after they responded to my review. I waited 7 days just to give them time to respond. Just overall a horrible place. I would give 0 stars if I could tbh. So a few things about this roof top bar and it could've just been a one time thing or something. But coming in everything was great. The security guard and hostess were so nice and directing us where to go. Our server seemed very busy which I totally understand. Things get hectic & being a former server with 7 years of experience I understand. But this entire experience made me & my other 9 friends feel disgusting and embarrassing. My boyfriend and I waited 30 minutes at our table before I went up to my server to start a tab. While the rest of my friends got there. We had seen our server go up to multiple other tables so I assumed he would make his way to us. (I was wrong) We waited maybe about 15 minutes for our drinks. When my friends arrived they put in their drink orders & they waited even longer than 15 minutes for some cocktails. My friend who ordered a beer waited longer than 15 minutes for his beer to get to him. My other friend ordered some bites for the entire group. The two charcuterie boards got to us but the wagyu sliders never made it. At this point everyone felt uncomfortable and realized that our server clearly did not want us to be there or just didn't care to take care of us. Then the security guard came out of nowhere to ask if we were doing okay which we thought was strange because the security guard was placed on the level floor and not the 31st floor. And as he walked away he didn't seem to bother any other tables but ours. Not too long after that our waiter rudely and loudly accused us of smoking weed. When we confirmed that it was two tables that were behind us smoking and not us we all decided that we didn't want to put up with it anymore. We cancelled our order of sliders and 2 cocktails (that we had been waiting on for more than 20 min) and asked for the check. The check comes & we were so shocked that after being treated so rudely and terribly that automatic gratuity was still added onto the bill. As a former server I have never come close to treating my own clientele the way we were treated. I get that things happen, it's finally Sunday and we as servers are burnt out from Friday and Saturdays fiascos. But holy shit. This is just a fair warning to any future clients of this rooftop bar. Like I said it could've been a one time thing & I hope it is but Jeeze.

Found this gem taking a long walk to a further train station. This is on the 32nd floor so you have to talk to someone at the front - she was friendly and directed me where to go. Walking in, you can't help but taken aback at the view. Sitting at the bar still gives you a first hand look of the Manhattan skyscrapers and all the pretty lights. Jen was the KINDEST bartender ever. She may have been the best part of it all. She was attentive (but not over the top - gave me space but talked to me), sweet, and super inclusive. She made sure I knew what my drink tasted like before ordering and told me my burger had bacon (which I didn't mind but others may have). Had a great time here after work - 5 to 8 pm is best if you don't want to be in a stuffy environment. Reasonably priced drinks for a times square location but worth it because the drinks are.. really ... freaking .... GOOD! Wagyu sliders were perfect. Already told my friends we need to visit!!

My boyfriend and I ventured up to the 5 O'clock Somewhere Bar to pregame before a football game. We went to the 32nd floor bar and had the best experience!! Our bartenders, Jen and Josh, were the BEST bartenders we've ever had!! Great service. Great drinks. Great conversation. I was sad to leave. We will definitely be back to visit with them soon!

First off, the drinks were amazing as well and the food. But really the star of the show was Jen! We had a large group and she handled it with style and grace and didn't miss a step!

Everything about the bar was amazing. They were able to accommodate my large group outside and it was warm from the heaters and open window to the bar despite it being less than 40° out. Jen and Tristan were our bartenders and they were both great. We somehow managed to stumble upon this place and I'm so glad we did, will definitely be coming here again the next time we're in NYC. View was incredible too!
