It's always 5 o'Clock in Margaritaville! Located on the 31st and 32nd floors of the Margaritaville Resort, the 5 o'Clock Somewhere Bar provides guests with sprawling views of New York City, including the iconic New Year's Eve Ball and the Hudson River. If you are looking for a quick bite or a craft cocktail before a show, or just want to unwind after a long day at the office, this is the place for you.
"Despite being in the middle of Times Square, this bar at the top of the Margaritaville resort has a bright blue couch waiting for you no matter what time you walk in. You won’t feel super immersed in the Buffet Universe up here (that’s saved for the booth inside the replica Statue of Liberty in the restaurant downstairs), but this a perfectly fine rooftop with good vibes and a lot of chill, embodying the Margaritaville spirit if not the aesthetic. Lines aren’t chill and neither are stuffy dress codes, so come here to skip all of that and drink a big colorful drink in your flip flops. " - neha talreja
"Despite the huge, sparkly Margaritaville sign welcoming you into this resort in the middle of Times Square, this rooftop bar doesn’t feel as on theme as we’d like. Maybe that’s a good thing for some—but if you're not looking for at least a couple of fake parrots, why would you venture into the Buffett universe in the first place? That said, 5 O'Clock Somewhere is a perfectly good rooftop with good vibes and a lot of chill, embodying the Margaritaville spirit if not the aesthetic. The menu is distinctly over-the-top (truffle, so much truffle), you can get a huge brightly-colored drink with an umbrella in it, and it’s definitely fine to show up with flip flops on." - Neha Talreja
"By then, it was 5:30, and we were finally allowed to head up to the two-story 5 o’Clock Somewhere Bar, on the hotel’s top floors with views of nearly the whole island. There was barely a smack of Jimmy Buffett there. Inside there were smooth midcentury modern chairs and tasteful patterned wallpaper. A woman with a guitar was singing mellow pop covers. On the outside deck, aqua booths were separated by fabric ferns, and the bar was lined with brushed-brass cocktail shakers." - Jaya Saxena
