Been a fan of Lechugas since 2011. If you're a fan of Mexican Seafood, you need to visit Lechugas. The tostada mixta is my favorite.. Super tasty, solid portion and modestly priced at $8. Still had enough for a Mexican soda or fish taco.

as someone who gets grossed out by seafood, i loved everything. the ceviche was very refreshing and flavorful. the shrimp tacos were so tasty.

I always enjoy getting shrimp tacos from this truck. It is by far the best taco truck I have been to. The pricing went up by a dollar, but for what I am getting I do not mind it. Whenever I am in town I always make it my mission to stop by this truck as I always crave it whenever I am away. I tried to make it at home with no success but that's okay because I know when I am in the area I will always be satisfied.

This truck has been a community mainstay for at least 20 years. They serve up solid tostadas and the especial tostada is very filling. Their tacos are always a crowd pleaser. Call your order in ahead of time so you don't have to wait.

This place is wow! Fresh fresh fresh! Unfortunately they are only open I believe Fri-Sun. They sell out quick and is usually gone early afternoon. Must try this place! You won't be disappointed!

Great lunch truck with great food. I ordered the fish & shrimp tacos. These were perfectly cooked and not overloaded with stuff inside. I will definitely be back here soon as it is the nearest good seafood spot by my job. The prices are reasonable for what you are getting.

Hidden gem. Excellent mariscos. Great prices. I wish they were open more days! I keep it simple with the jaiba tostadas and I usually will ask for an extra tostada because they give you two but one order it makes about 3.

I can't believe I never tried this before and I live so close! Definitely a solid 4.5 stars!!! Let me start off by saying the truck is very clean. The food is FRESH!!! You can watch them prepare everything through the glass window. There was a steady flow of customers but there is plenty of room to socially distance. I tried a few different items since it was my first time here are my thoughts. Shrimp taco / Fish taco 5 stars full of flavor and perfectly crispy. Shrimp ceviche- 4 stars I'm not a fan of onions so my review could be a bit biased but there was just to much. Shrimp cóctel- 4 stars was he flavor was good and there was a generous amount of shrimp. The cost was $10 and it was a small cup.

Stopped here the other day after wanting to go for a long time but never finding the truck there. The schedule seems to be somewhat random or at least to what posted schedules I've seen. No matter... I finally saw it there and decided to get a couple of things even though I wasn't hungry. I didn't want to miss the opportunity. They didn't disappoint. The food was excellent. Fresh. And inexpensive. A very well run spot. The ceviche tostada was real good ,as was the fish taco. They don't have a big menu .They seem to specialize in a few things and at least two of those were real good in my opinion. I'll be back.

At $2 each the shrimp tacos and fish tacos are the bomb here! nuff' said! They are parked in front of the library. If you get there right when it opens at 11am you actually might have to wait 10-15 minutes for them to set up the kitchen. But otherwise the waiting time is pretty decent. Bring your own wipes because it can get a bit messy! I've never gotten it to-go so I don't know how the tacos will hold up, but it's fun to have a quick picnic in the car! Whenever I'm in the area, I try to stop by this truck!

The truck is usually parked next to the library, but if there's a lot of RVs and cars like today, it might park closer to the Big Saver. You can order ahead by phone, so you don't have to wait as long. Also, they put out stools if you want to eat there. The shrimp tacos are my favorite, it's flavorful enough. The fish tacos, however, I would recommend adding a bit of salt (they give you salt packets). The mixta especial is also really good, it's just like the ceviche, but with octopus, abalone, and imitation crab meat on two tostadas. It's good with some salt, lime, and a bit of hot sauce. The campechana is like a tomato cocktail of seafood. It contains all the same items as the mixta especial, but submerged in a tomato fluid. It also comes with tostadas and crackers.

Food is good but NEVER place an order by phone, you will wait longer than people who order on the spot. I was told 20mins when I ordered by phone so I went after the 20 minutes, i still had to wait 20 more minutes when I got there. Like I said food is good just skip the garbage phone orders since they still make you wait even longer

Fish and shrimp tacos are bomb. The batter is not too thick but has a nice crunch to it. Seasoning is on point. Not too much mayo are drenched on like some of the other fish taco places I had. They make it after you order and pay. So when you get the food, it's nice and hot.

Their shrimp ceviche tostadas are amazing!! I crave it almost all the time. Because it is a taco truck, they serve fresh ingredients every single day. The last time we called in to make an order they told us they weren't open because their fish delivery did not arrive. I'm glad they communicate with their customers rather than letting it go to voicemail. One of my favorite lunch spots. I would order for dinner too, but they close at 5pm.

Their tacos are juicy and flavorful and a good size for only $2 per taco. While they don't offer traditional meat options, there's something to be said about a food truck that specializes in one thing, but does that thing very well. The only minor issue I have is with them not always being at their location even during their posted hours, perhaps due to inclement weather? Either way, call ahead before you head out.

This place is pretty LEGIT! The food, the price and the location (okay...maybe not the location) were AMAZING. Food: Shrimp tostada, shrim tacos and shrimp ceviche were all fantastic. You can taste the quality/freshness. Best of all, they do not skim on the GUAC. Just look at all the pics posted here! Price: Fairly reasonable. Don't be deceived by the pictures here...the price / portions were great Parking: Plenty of street parking and on the weekend you can park in the library parking/ Wait time was my only complaint.

Me and my boyfriend have been chasing this truck for the past four days, and in all times we've gone to the location and they weren't there. Tip #1: CALL AHEAD - they may not be there! Tuesdays they are closed. They're also very particular about fresh catch of the day. If they aren't able to purchase fresh seafood in the morning, they're not going to open! THEY DON'T OPEN EXACT HOURS Today we finally caught the truck, but not after we missed them the first time! Came to the location at 11:05 - the truck wasn't there!! We stopped by food4less and I decided to call, they said they were going to open in 10 minutes. Did a little grocery, came back and they were there at 11:20 am. THEY DON'T CLOSE EXACT HOURS EITHER We asked and they said they closed depending on when they run out of seafood, which is usually within 4-6 pm. Don't underestimate the fact that this is just a food truck in El Sereno. They don't compromise the quality of their food when they aren't able to get fresh catch for the day. I had the Tostada Mixta Especial and Let me tell you after chasing this truck for many days, IT'S WORTH IT! I have never had seafood taste so fresh. Every bite was perfectly cooked too - nothing too soggy or over marinated. Shrimp, octopus all had a fresh crunch/bite to it. You could see/taste the fish and the surimi were fresh. My boyfriend loved it so much he ordered a campechana to go. I took a sip out of the seafood cocktail too and it was delicious! Like the tostada mixta, the ingredients in the cocktail were fresh. I saw some people order tacos and I believe they cook it to order. Takes a while to get your order, and their hours may be odd but trust me when I say it is worth the wait! Oh funny thing! me and my boyfriend were laughing at why it was called Mariscos Los Lechugas (he told me it doesn't really make sense) then we saw the signage at the truck and I wondered why there was an apostrophe and why it was "los" instead of "las" -- we believe the couple running the truck's last name is Lechuga! Fun fact??

A couple of friends and I went during our lunch break. We found parking on the street and walked on over to this food truck. There was a bit of a wait but boy was it worth it! Food is fresh and made to order. The most delicious shrimp ceviche I have ever had! I love that their shrimp is diced up with a dash of tomatoes. They are definitely not cheap of the shrimp. It was perfectly sour and seasoned. A must try. Tip: order it to go or tostada on the side. It's a bit easier to eat this way and they give you 2 tostada chips instead of being served on one. I also had the shrimp taco which was good. Battered and fried with a bit of veggies. Thankful my coworkers took me to this gem in El Sereno.

WOW! I'd say one of the best fish tacos I have eaten including one's from Mexico Also the shrimp tacos are phenomenal. Prices are 1.50 for either a Fish or a shrimp tacos which is goood. Also I had to try the Tostada Especial which has shrimp, ceviche, octopus and some other delicacies.. great stuff Its usually there around noon but doesn't stay after dark so get there fast. Must try!

Great customer service and the most delicious shrimp tacos! I love this place so much and I especially love that I live 3 blocks away! I've probably eaten over 100 of their shrimp tacos. Always check your order if you're ordering to go. We all make mistakes sometimes! No need to get rude about it. If you're ordering to go on a weekday, it's best to call ahead so your order is ready when you arrive.

We've been devouring ceviche tostatas recently and so had to come here. Funny thing is, it is so close to South Pasadena (and yet a world away). We usually do eat there, but this last weekend we ordered to go and BOY oh boy, that is the way to go. They pack the stuff really well, the tostada elements are packed separately so the crunchy chip stays crunchy. Also the portions seem overly generous on the to go, hubby got two fish tostadas to me it seemed it was equivalent to three "for here" tostadas. The fish tacos are superb, best eaten there as they are fried so (for me) I want to eat it as soon as possible before it gets cold and/or soggy. I prefer the fish tostadas to the shrimp, the fish is moist and superb, the shrimp tostata is a bit dry to me. I love the shrimp cocktail, the seasonings are just right and fresh (chopped tomato, avocado, cucumber, etc.). Sometimes I get the campechana cocktel just for variety. If you want to eat there you *may* want to bring a camping chair because I've noticed when it gets busy all their little plastic bar stools get taken up.

Have to give this place 5 stars! I am not a Mexican food fan but my co-workers have been trying to get me here for so long. It is a staple in East LA and El Sereno. Amazing is all I have to say. No wonder the lines get long. This is a food truck with very limited seating. Probably best to get it to go. I got the fish and shrimp tacos and I still taste the ingredients in a good way. So fresh and tasty! Like wow!!!!

I love this place since I was a kid, the owner & his wife are super nice! They are always smiling & always deliver excellent service. The fish tacos are tooo fire here they taste soo good & then w/ extra salsa on top! Wow MOUTH GASM! The tacos here are my favorite. Then I enjoy the fish ceviche to w/ some tapatio!!

The best Baja style fish tacos and ceviche. All there food is delicious and they are clean and polite. They also allow phone orders so you do not need to Wait since they are often busy.

Best Mariscos I've ever tasted no questions asked ! Great customer service they helped me out with all my needs. The food is just oof. Flavorful and great amount for the price. If you haven't tried the fish tacos here you haven't lived life at its full.

The Fish tacos are the best and you cannot beat their prices...$2 each... The shrimp tacos are delicious too. I like their Shrimp Cevice, I get 2 of them at $3 apiece, 2 fish tacos, take it home and wash it down with an Ice Cold Corona..... AYYY Dios Mio!!! I am Intrigued. I will keep going back. So good! Told them I'm on keto so hold the tostadas. Went inside Big Saver (where they're parked) and got jicama- sliced them real thin and - voila!

We buy from here at least every week if not every other week! But their fish tacos are BOMB!!! Today I actually tried their shrimp taco and that was really good as well! (I had actually order fish tacos but they gave me shrimp but no complaint because it was good.) I think they have one of the best fish tacos that you can find! Their mix tostada is really good too! I like that their salsa size to go for there tacos is really reasonable, their not stingy with it. The tostadas sauce is Smaller but I'd say it's still enough. If your craving fish tacos I honestly recommend you to come here. They sometimes do run out of Fish for their tacos, but just call ahead of time and they'll let you know. It's not even summer and you'll see this place always having people. Their friendly and not mean, I've never encountered bad service here so hope you don't either. Most of all I really like that it's a food truck because you can see what they do. I recommend you to come and try these delicious tacos!

First of all ... No prices posted. Second of all, they don't give you tostadas or galletas, you have to ask for them smh. And third of all, their "ceviche de pescado" looks like fucking tuna!

Best. Tacos. Ever! Soooooo delicious! They hand-batter and fry each piece of fish and shrimp when you order it and you can taste the quality of ingredients. The shrimp and fish tacos are hands-down the best tacos I have ever had. I like how the tortilla doesn't get in the way, and how there is plenty of fresh lime juice to go around. I ate a lot and it doesn't feel heavy or greasy in mah belly. Can't wait to come back!! They are parked in front of the library. Closed Mon and Tues.

I was looking forward to trying this for so long and what I ordered didn't live up to its hype for me :( I got the fish taco and mixta regular tostada. Fish taco: 4/5 - I enjoyed this. They use one tortilla instead of two, which makes it taste a lot lighter with more emphasis on the goods than the carbs. Solid. Mixta regular tostada: 1/5 - MAN. I was so excited for this but I think I ordered the wrong thing. While it looked delicious, the majority (70%) of it was all imitation crab meat. The rest was a couple shrimps, salsa and avocado. I ended up throwing some of it away :( I tried my friend's mixta especial and it was, like mine, filled with a lot of imitation crab meat but he had fish ceviche on the bottom and a couple of what tasted like scallops. The ceviche was salty and nice. Learn from me and don't order the mixta regular tostada.

¡Los mejores tacos de camarones! The most authentic shrimp tacos you can find in the area. They always are super kind and welcoming to my family and have really quick service. The business is owned by a kind Mexican family: The price is fair $2 dollars for a shrimp taco and $2 for a fish taco. The only flaw which most people don't seem to mind when they eat here is that they typically don't de vain their shrimp but sometimes they do. All of their mixtas are also worth a try! My favorite mixta would be the shrimp with octopus. The avocado topping is also super fresh and delicious. I would rate 5/5 a must try for great friendly service and delicious mariscos.

The Fish Tacos and Ceviche are so Fresh and Delicious...posting this just makes my mouth water for more . You will just have to try them for yourself. You won't be disappointed with these Mariscos.

My brother in law put me on to this little food truck and I am sooooo thankful that he did!! So me, bro in law, and the fiancé visited this mobile eatery at his suggestion. At first I was expecting a restaurant or a little hole in the wall place, not a trailer hooked up to a Chevy. There was a crowd around so I thought it must be good. I ordered a fish taco and a mixta especial. The taco was excellent. I wasn't sure what to expect with the mixta especial, or even what all exactly it contains, but he said it was the best thing they sell so I went ahead and ordered it. It was fabuous! It's like a ceviche on a tostada. All of the fish was fresh and delicious. I poured on a few drops of Tapatillo and dug right in! One negative is that it is cash only. Its a hassle for me but one that I am willing to take on to get to this food. Overall 5 stars. I have already been back a couple of times and I will continue to be a regular here.

This is one of the best marisco trucks in the area. Fish tacos are excellent and the shrimp cocktails are fantastic. Jaime The owner is a cool dude and he runs a tight ship. Fresh is the keyword here! They also have a great ceviche and crab tostada. Try them out!

Wow! I was completely surprised by how delicious this food truck is! I've passed by it so many times (at least 3 times a week for years), what a waste of days :) . I prefer the shrimp tacos over the fish tacos, so good! Also the fish ceviche tostadas is so delicious very "limey" and full of flavor! The mixta is also delicious and big! I would come here at least 3x a week if possible ! Super clean ! It's seafood and when you think of seAfood and a food truck you may think twice about it, but don't hesitate ... see for yourself ... it's really really clean
