"Head to Main Street in downtown Franklin on a random Saturday or Sunday afternoon for garlic parmesan crab fries, a PB&J Montecristo with smoked pork belly, and trays of char-grilled Gulf oysters. Washing it down: two-for-one mimosas/sangria and a build-your-own bloody Mary bar." - Jackie Gutierrez-Jones

"Named for the stretch of highway that runs between Memphis and New Orleans, Jason McConnell’s Franklin restaurant features Southern flavors — and fresh oysters. A dozen ice-cold Gulf oysters are $5-off Monday through Friday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. during happy hour. If you can slurp down more than 10 dozen oysters in less than 30 minutes, you might earn your place on the 55 Oyster Wall of Fame." - Alex Hendrickson, Clair Lorell

So far, this place is Tosha’s favorite spot in Nashville (actually in Franklin)! She got the Shrimp and Grits, and raved about her perfect choice for the rest of our trip 😁. I got the Chicken Biscuit & Sausage Gravy. It was good. The eggs were prepared very nice and soft. Our server was very astute, helpful and respectful. The location and atmosphere that 55 South offered is second to none! Note: Changing station in bathroom for the babies.

Great vibe I’m down town Franklin. Great whiskey menu. Great apps and delicious diner food. Service was amazing and after visiting Franklin several times in the last couple of years, this is my work groups New favorite. Everyone loved everything they got from jambalaya, blt, wings, to everything everyone ordered was a hit.

My husband was craving Southern-style food, so we decided to try this place while we were in the area. Upon our arrival, the restaurant wasn't too busy, and we were seated promptly. Our server, a friendly gentleman, was incredibly attentive. Garlic Parmesan Crab Fries - These are an absolute must-try appetizer! They were exceptionally delicious and truly hit the spot! Chicken & Sausage Gumbo - Initially, my husband wanted seafood gumbo, but it had been removed from the menu. We settled for this one, and I must say, it was a bit bland and didn't quite meet my expectations. It was okay but nothing spectacular. Grilled Shrimp Salad - The portion size was decent, the dressing was delightful, and the shrimp were fresh. Chicken & Sausage Jambalaya - Our waiter suggested adding a fried egg on top, which turned out to be a genius idea. The dish was excellent, and my dad thoroughly enjoyed it. Fried Catfish - The fish was fresh and well-seasoned. I highly recommend it :) Overall, we had a delightful experience at the restaurant. The ambiance was wonderful, making it a perfect spot for family gatherings or special occasions. I would definitely recommend it!

I just wanted to share a photo of my breakfast yesterday, a lukewarm quiche with a half filled dish of fruit, some again, lukewarm, potatoes. I asked if this was the kids portion as it was the smallest piece I ever seen. It was not and not worth the money.

Loved eating here! Great restaurant in Franklin, TN. The food was great, service was great...the overall experience was so good. Loved the humor of the Walken sign when we arrived. The bourbon/whiskey list was fantastic. Lots of options. Enjoyed the old fashioned. Started with the Garlic Parmesan Crab fries. WoW!! what a combo and soooo good. Great way to start the meal. These could very well make a meal on their own. The seasoning on the fries was good. My main course were the fish tacos. I got them blackend. The sauce, slaw...all was done very well. Refreshing, filling but didn't make me feel heavy. Our server was super nice and had great suggestions. Overall, highly recommend. I will be going back

I loved this place if only I could get these recipes! I am definitely going to spend a lot of my time recreating some of these dishes to my best ability! The workers were amazing and sweet. My one thing i would be little picky was the air-conditioner was on us so little cold but a few drinks in and wasn't a problem, haha.

Party of 7. Our server, Travis was wonderful; very personable and accommodating. Had deviled eggs and shrimp & grits. Both were delicious. Recommend and would definitely go again.

We stopped by for a late lunch per the recommendation from our tour guide at the Carter House and are so thankful we took her suggestion! I had the Southern Smoked Brisket Reuben with sweet potato fries and my friend had the fried chicken plate with grits and sweet potato fries. All of it was simply amazing. My sandwich was very unique and full of flavor. I would eat it again in a heartbeat. The food was absolutely delicious and our server was very kind. She even recommended an ice cream place (Jeni's - don't miss it!! SO good!) before we left. This will definitely be on my list to visit again if I'm in the area!
