Best Crab and Lobster Rolls in the Seattle Area | Eater Seattle

"Many Seattleites aren’t averse to making a trip up to Edmonds specifically to sample the wonderful seafood at this highly acclaimed restaurant and fishmonger. The Maine-style lobster and Dungeness crab rolls are terrific, stuffed with succulent meat, poached with garlic brown butter, and topped with Old Bay aoli." - Gabe Guarente

Best Restaurants in Edmonds, Lynnwood, and Shoreline for Takeout and Delivery | Eater Seattle

"Downtown Edmonds’s acclaimed restaurant and fishmonger serves pan-seared shrimp katsu, lobster rolls, chowder poutine, and other hearty seafood items. There are also ways for diners to support crowdfunded causes during the COVID-19 crisis, including sibling restaurant Salt & Iron, which has converted into a community kitchen." - Eater Staff

*Fast Eddie's?* They always have a really good deal on some random things behind the glass. I've rarely been disappointed when purchasing tech and even then I knew what I was getting had a battery that was likely failing due to it not being used. Got a sweet 4 in 1 cable for 11 bucks in a pinch one time. Another time, I got a Dale Earnhardt emblazoned pocket knife for $2.99 of such high quality that I bought another one for my brother. This place is a neighborhood staple. Anyone remember when it used to be "Fast Eddie's"? I heard some wild story about the way that ended that I will not repeat here (PM me if you know the real story or want to hear gossip) with so much drama in the MLT, it's kinda hard being so far away from the sea. **" Shout out to the Mountlake Terrace OGS. On a more serious note; I try to stop in here instead of other corner stores (especially big chain stores a la AM/PM) when I can. Plus, it's the nearest to the Transit Station, and the next nearest is about a mile. Hey, Fast Eddie's, I mean 56th ave market! Thanks for having a selection of coconut water for the same price or better than most grocery stores! Y'all make me feel some semblance of continuity in this rapidly growing and changing suburb. Due to the light rail stop opening as of last August (2024), there's a new city growing just around the station. It won't be a suburb much longer, I do reckon. The tramps we now see from the city are a harbinger of what is soon to come. Also, they sell and refill growlers of local and microbrew beers... Almost left that out. And it's priced great as far as I remember. Vagabonds and locals alike. Although there are 3 brewery tap rooms in walking distance. Four really. Lots of breweries, overpriced condos and retirement homes. $500,000+ you can buy a small home in a small lot. I don't understand why anyone would choose to buy a condo instead. I must be missing something there... Also, they sell more RYO tobacco here than any other corner-store locally along with many other smoking accessories.

We stopped here for coffee and hot chocolate. We were satisfied. The person working the register was professional. Our needs were satisfied.

I love this store. It's got the best selection and the staff is amazing especially the tall handsome man from North Africa who works hard and still serves with a smile and a generosity like no other. Thank you!

Update to my original review (from 5 years ago) Yet another terrible experience. Any and all attempts at decent customer service are long gone. This store takes it's regular customers completely for granted, and literally acts like they could care less that you were there supporting them instead of going to the 'store'. Their service has become straight up unfriendly, consistently bordering on rude. They advertise 2/$4.5 deals but they don't automatically apply, and only the owner even remembers to honor them. For being a rundown neighborhood business entirely based on reselling from Costco wholesale, they are Extremely entitled for no reason! Sad.

Extremely rude. I went in last night to get a drink and a snack after a long day. I went for a couple of cheaper options, figuring if I didn't have enough to cover the total that I would put something back when I got to the counter. When the man at the counter started to check out my items, I had already given him my card thinking that I could just put something back if I didn't have enough. He didn't tell me the total before he swiped and charged my card (didn't get an opportunity to put in my PIN) and this left 68 cents on my total. I did not have any change whatsoever on my person or any other money. I told him I would be more than willing to put an item back. Before I could finish my sentence, though, he cut me off saying "I already charged you". I apologized and repeated that I wouldn't mind putting something back. He waved his hand in my face and said "Go. Leave. Get out." And walked away from the counter. Needless to say, I'm not going to come back here. I would have put something back or even returned with the remainder of the balance, but the cashier decided to be rude to me instead.

Yesterday I went to this store to fill a growler. I used to work in that area almost five years ago and have been there for the same reason several (less than 10) times. Location is in about 5 miles radius of my home not the regular spot for filling Growlers. And those days oh, there was a gentleman running to store making connections with almost every single customer, and you were feeling hey we will take care of your needs. But yesterday there was a new face, no greeting at all (which is not the main point, just a comparison that comes to the mind). There was me and another person walked into the store almost at the same time and we both wanted to feel The Growlers, after the store runner took care of one customer, he walked toward The Growler filling station and helped that person, couple other customers walked into the store and he turned to me and said I am the only person who runs this is store, that means I need to wait for him to help them, which doesn't make sense because I'm a customer too and helping me may took couple more minutes but since I've been there before they walk into the store, that was my right to be served before them, but he walked toward cashier spot and started helping other customers and again other people walked into the store and he continued helping them after he helped 5-6 other customers and new customers coming into the store, he turned to me again and said "look I am the only person who runs this store." This is unacceptable! what is the difference between me and other customers? Just because it was easier money for him? Unbelievable! I just told him "you need to tell me that you cannot help me 10 minutes ago, just wasted 10 minutes of my time" and walked out the store and I would not go back there again.

Two problems: 1. Cost of the items are marked up beyond reasonable market retail value. Example: Ritz single packs are $2.29 (w/o tax). Compare to Rite Aid, Safeway, and other major grocery stores of lesser price such as $3.49 for a 4 pack box. 2nd problem: Chris, the owner and G.M. runs through purchases too quickly and seems in such a hurry to get a person out of the store as quickly as possible making the friendliness and service experience highly unprofessional. Variety of product is a little short to, but it's a small convenience store so that's understandable. 10/27/2024 Update: Wanted to buy a single Mt Dew for $3.89 and was just a little low on cash. Had a Morgan Dollar coin still legally tenderable as coinage and Chris tried to refuse it saying it's so old and out dated that it's not useable. Argued until he figured it was worthless to do so. I even showed him the proof of it's accepted legal tender status from online resources verifying it's legal tenderability. Suggestion to people coming here, don't waste time with him. This is one of those places where money is the only thing Chris cares about and doesn't seem to have a respectable heart. Even when he's being handed U.S. legal tender cash/coin that is worth more than the purchase as a whole.

I'm very appalled by the Manager's insistent disrespect upon entering. I wrote a review last year that obviously hasn't had any impact on the Manager's conduct toward the homeless in ML.T. I'm one of those who constantly buys from Chris and Kim's 56th Corner Market on almost daily basis when I have money to do so which is about 3 out of 4 weeks a month. When I don't have money, I don't normally go in. If I do, it's for hot water. Chris and I haven't really had any problems from 2007 till now, but he confronted and incessantly harangued me about constantly coming in for water over the last 2 weeks and even showed his true attitude towards the homeless as being against them in the process of haranguing me. Normally, I'd ignore this, but after bringing a selfish and biased attitude toward a class of American citizen, that's the end of my tolerance for such disrespect. Must be nice having a business, making money, having a wife and car, not having the struggles of surviving on the street because of outside uncontrollable circumstances. I'm not homeless by choice of my own. If it was up to me and I didn't have the roadblocks in my life I do, I'd already have my own life in Japan married to my fiance, kids, large feudal era house, and a permanent job.
