Great food but extremely disappointed in this place. I had a 9pm reservation on Valentines and was excited for an excellent experience. I have experience serving and working in restaurants and found it completely unacceptable that it took over 15 minutes to be greeted, and 27 minutes from the time we were sat to get our drinks. With no mix drinks available, I found it insane that it took 13 minutes to receive our drinks after placing our order. We had to rush through our dinner as we had a second reservation for that night to make. If I’m spending $215 for a dinner for two, I expect service to provide a great experience. This place has no business charging these prices for such mediocre effort.

Pleasant lunch place. We started with a Caesar salad. A bit different than usual presentation wise, it's was whole lettuce leaves but it was good nonetheless because each ones were coated with the seasoning. Our entree were the Fettuccine with Mushrooms and Spaghetti with Tomato & Basil with a side of chicken. First one had nice earthy flavor but a little too saucy for my taste. Second one was flavorful in a way it was letting the tomatoes and basil shine. I am not sure if it was the normal, but the amount of "side" chicken was huge and that made the portion quite a challenge to finish! I didn't mind though since I was starving. Lastly we had a Tiramisu. To me it lack coffee flavor and there was too much mascarpone compare to the lady fingers.

Google
Zero vibe and rushy waiters, we hoped the food would be redeemable but it was awful - lacked any seasoning (mac & cheese balls & calamari), side salad was limp and our mains were even worse. The “braised pork” looked and tasted like boiled blocks of meat and the pasta had zero flavour. Won’t be returning - over priced for terrible food

Google
The food here is amazing. There are daily specials and that's what we went for. The turnip soup and field salad were perfectly balanced with flavor, freshness, and seasonal produce. The ravioli were vegetarian and bomb, but what really impressed me was the service. We arrived 20 minutes before closing and were enthusiastically greeted and welcomed. They let us sit outside and it was a beautiful night on their patio. The server was cheerful and not overattentive and did not rush us. One of the best experiences I've had eating out in Austin.

Google
My wife and I had dinner here after an event nearby. I booked the reservation last minute after reading other reviews. Our meal was absolutely wonderful. The attention to detail was apparent throughout the meal. The Chicken Parmigiana was crispy and delicious. The Crispy Polenta was appetizer a great way to start off our meal. We will definitely be back again.

Google
The service is really great. I arrived little bit early before my reservation time. I was told about specials and I asked specifically if the Ravioli is made fresh and she said yes we make all our pasta fresh. When the food areived, the portion was bit questionable. However the food quality was surely below par my expectations. Ravioli was hard and did not seem freshly made and no offense but the plate was cold.. The place has good ambiance.

Google
Dined there evening of 03 July Staff provided excellent service and was knowledgeable about wine. I enjoyed the soup and bolognese and liked that cracked pepper was provided which I used a lot of. The fresh peaches in the cheese dessert was nice.

Google
Went here for dinner during Austin Restaurant Week 2022. Absolutely a wonderful experience. Atmosphere is cozy and contemporary, staff were very attentive. Crispy polenta was fabulous. Fettuccine with Portabella and Cremini mushrooms was delicious.. fettuccine perfectly cooked, mushrooms were nice and earthy, and oh the sauce :) I will definitely be back. Nice a selection of wines, too.

Yelp
What a great little Italian place on the west-side. I recently ate here for a birthday for the first time and sat at the bar (it is a high top community table and less of a bar). The bread was delicious right out the gate and these guys have a great wine selection with a great understanding of what they are serving. 10/10 for the staff's exquisite wine knowledge. Every comes out made to order and is fresh. I ordered the chicken parm - full order which is huge! I will get the half in the future but take-home is guaranteed for those not ready to eat a huge portion in one sitting. The chicken parm was lightly breaded however the flavor was perhaps off that day as it seemed a little lacking - better to less flavor than a bad flavor so I didn't mind and enjoyed it as so many other elements made up for it. The staff was very quick to navigate the room and there was outdoor seating however given the temps I didn't want to sit under a heat lamp but many appeared comfortable from my view. I suspect the spring/fall caters well to the outdoor vibe. Parking is reasonable and you will need a reservation if you expect to be accommodated as this place has been booked when we tried coming as a walk up before. I will be back perhaps in the summer to try the outdoor seating and to give the chicken parm another try.

Yelp
A friend has taken me here twice for birthdays and the food is wonderful and the service is perfect - present when needed and when asked for something not normally served. This week we were celebrating my birthday again. After arriving my friend asked if they could give me a birthday candle to blow out and some ice cream (which also had several cool shaped cookies!). Even when one is ancient it's still fun to blow out a candle! I liked that my friend knew the person who took care of us too.

Yelp
Made a reservation for 3 for a Tuesday evening and was seated right away. We ordered the fried mac and cheese balls to start which were pretty good. The rigatoni was pretty good as well, no real complaints. The restaurant is kind of small overall and seating is kind of close together inside, so it has a very intimate feel. Our server Matt was amazing! Super kind and attentive and joked around with us; honestly the service stood out more than the food but the food was overall solid.
google avatar

Yelp
Great place for date night! We had a great time. The service here was excellent. Our server provided great recommendations for wine and entrees. The specials offered were all tempting. There are a number of good entree's to choose from. The wine list is nice as well. We loved the Chianti. The only down side would be the size. There are only a few tables so it can fill up. Can't wait for a Return visit

Yelp
Went to 68 Degrees for the first time with friends and we had a great time. Wonderful atmosphere, friendly helpful staff and OMG the food was amazing! Definitely going to be returning soon.
google avatar

Yelp
Great ambiance and service. Both meals were overcooked and the trout was super fishy and not fresh. The vegetables were super overcooked and mushy. The manager took the trout dish out of our bill. I would recommend getting drinks and enjoying the ambiance.
google avatar

Bonnie R.

Yelp
Eight of us had dinner here on a Sunday evening and really enjoyed it. The food was good. The service was good and the atmosphere was nice. Three of us had the trout, which was very good. Others had Bolognese, a linguine dish and shrimp pasta. My friend who had the special Pasta of the night raved about it . The Caesar salad was good, and the special salad of the night looked amazing. it took a while for us to finally get our checks but all in all everyone enjoyed it

Yelp
We got reservations for the outdoor patio, and brought our dog. They were quick about seating us and the outdoor space is nice and shaded, still comfortable on a hot day! We got two pasta dishes: - Bolognese: definitely recommend!! It was surprisingly more flavorful than many others I've had in the past. Chicken parmesan: ok not a "pasta" dish, but it comes with pasta. This was good but i felt like the chicken portions were a bit smaller than I'm used to. Overall a good experience. Not a lot of Italian places in Austin so grateful to have this one nearby!
google avatar

Stacy M.

Yelp
Best Italian in Texas. Hands down. Everything is balanced and made fresh. Unreal experience.
google avatar

Shinta S.

Yelp
We had a very pleasant dinner here. Our waitress is so friendly and gracious. She really did take care of us well. The meals were scrumptious and portions sizes were perfect for us.

GeorgeAnne E.

Yelp
The staff here is exceptional. And the food is really fresh and tasty. We get the fish and salads every time. So so delicious. Very Happy they are in the neighborhood
google avatar

Julia C.

Yelp
Fantastic service and ambiance. Available parking out front and on side of building. The food was fresh and tasty. We arrived during happy hour, so we able to take advantage of the $2 discount on apps. Excited to return and try other items of their menu.
google avatar

Christian M.

Yelp
Was looking forward to our reservations here but unfortunately the food was bland. We got the bolognese and the fettuccine and neither had much flavor. The wine options they had were good but we just wish the food had something more too it.

Julie D.

Yelp
We came here last week with our family because we wanted to have one meal that was just us celebrating our anniversary and one meal with our big kids who are old enough to sit and enjoy good food. This restaurant would have been delightful for either. The food was wonderful- I loved the fettuccine dish I had and everyone else was happy too, the pasta is good. We did our best to save some room for dessert and were glad we did. I also realized after leaving that I appreciated that it's quiet enough to talk and hold a conversation.

Charles W.

Yelp
Wonderful atmosphere. Terrific service! I enjoyed the chicken parmesan! They also have take-out!

Yelp
We stopped here on a whim on a casual Sunday night and we loved it! Quaint atmosphere and delicious food made for a nice date night. We got the baby greens salad, Linguine with shrimp and the three cheese ravioli with bolognese sauce. The ravioli portion size was a little small but it was delicious, especially the bolognese. The linguine with shrimp was absolutely amazing! I would highly recommend.

Yelp
Came to this place and loved the ambiance, not too fancy or too casual but a good in-between where you can sit and enjoy your food. We ordered 3 different appetizers: something with prosciutto and olives, fried calamari, and fried mac and cheese balls. The appetizers disappeared quickly as they were quite delicious. When our entrees came out they were presented beautifully, but when we tasted it we needed to add a lot of salt. I understand not wanting to oversalt your dishes in the kitchen because some people may be sensitive to the salt content, but it tasted like there was none at all. That's really the only thing I would say this restaurant missed for me, but since it was for everyone's main dish it took a pretty big hit there in my opinion. Overall, the desserts we ordered were also quite yummy and the servers were very nice to us even as we were staying pretty late to a little bit after closing.
google avatar

Nikkita F.

Yelp
We made a 7:30 reservation for 3 people for an outdoor table -- we had to wait over 40 minutes. Only about 30 mins in did the host tell the table that they had a reservation waiting. Maybe a good idea to add that into the reservations? The host said this happened all the time. We tried the below: - calamari - delish! - penne with sausage - the sausage was not very good, super basic and not flavorful at alll. The sauce was very good and made up for it! - bolognese - it was very bland and watery. I asked for extra meat and tomato sauce and put a ton of red pepper flakes to have more taste. - desserts were amazing and would definitely get again! It was for a bday so nothing was comped despite the wait as well...a bit annoying Overall, not sure I loved anything enough to really go back. A cool new neighborhood spot though!
google avatar

Jon B.

Yelp
Terrible service and overpriced bland food. We had a 7pm reservation for 6 people. Arrived and seated immediately, but no one came to the table for 20 minutes. The apps we ordered didn't arrive at the table until an hour after we sat down, and they forgot one of the orders. Everyone's food was bland, lots of salt and pepper was used around the table, and drink refills didn't happen until we were done eating. Could've done better at Olive Garden.
google avatar

Emily C.

Yelp
Wait staff was nice and the restaurant is a modern little establishment, and very clean. Food is decently priced and after adding a bit of salt (in my opinion) the food tasted good. Took it home and enjoyed it over the next few days too. They accommodate larger parties easily so that's a plus!
google avatar

Camille J.

Yelp
This is a cute restaurant with nice ambiance inside but near a busy area. Service was good. I didn't try much there so I can't speak to the entire menu. I did have cheese tortellini and corn/cream sauce dish (that was on special) and the tiramisu and both were very tasty. It is a bit pricey for the portion size but the taste was good.
google avatar

Megan L.

Yelp
I've been here once a few years ago, and all I remember is that they serve amazing tiramisu. Years later, I came more recently with my friend, and we had a second dinner here. The pasta we ordered was really yummy, and we also loved the panna cotta. Service was great, and the ambience of the restaurant is really nice too. I highly recommend! Their menu isn't very extensive, but you're bound to find an option you'll enjoy.

Yelp
I love this place. Of all the Italian places we have tried in Austin, this is still our favorite. It is consistently delicious and has great service. We also really enjoy the wines they have here. Found a bottle that is incredible and actually quite affordable (Regina di Reniere if they have it still!). Can't find the bottle outside of 68 degrees. We have tried many dishes here but my go-to is the Linguine with shrimp. It is amazing. I crave this! My hubs often gets the rigatoni with house made lamb sausage (or maybe the bolognese) both he says are wonderful. Honestly, you can't go wrong with any option. We've never been disappointed by our choices. For the starters, the polenta is incredible, rich and creamy and well worth it. This is where we recommended friends try when looking for amazing Italian food in Austin.
google avatar

Monica G.

Yelp
Chose this at the last minute and am so glad we did! Our server was very nice and thorough with their daily special. We started with the caprese salad as well as a mixed green. Bolognase with veal and pork is definitely something I would go back for. Their garlic pasta with pancetta was so deliciously creamy as well. I would consider this again my next time in Austin.
google avatar

Greta V.

Yelp
Plusses: delicious food, reasonable prices, good ambiance, Minuses: it was way too hot. To call yourself 68 degrees one would think you wouldn't be sweating through the meal. Also, our server was kind of awkward. She made too many hand gestures and seemed uncomfortable.
google avatar

Emely R.

Yelp
This Italian restaurant is a go to while you are in Austin or even as a local! Service was superb and the quality of the food was outstanding.. fresh, bold in flavors, and delicious I say. Prices are very reasonable for such quality service and food that you receive. They do take walk-ins but preferably will like reservations for you not to wait a while for a table.

Yelp
My wife and I just had the pleasure of dining here, and I was compelled to write this glowing and superlative review of this small but stylish Italian bistro in Tarrytown. We started with a not so Italian bowel of hatch green chili soup and a plate of calamari as appetizers. Both were full on flavor and right up there with 5 star restaurants with the exception of 5-6 dollars less per entry from the vaulted eateries. Moving into the main courses , my spouse opted for the Ravioli and she commented again after tasting that this was right on par with the aforementioned finer dining that we have been to. I chose the Meatball with pasta and it again was in my opinion a wonderful choice full of flavor and you could taste the chefs choice of exceptional ingredients and individual care with the dishes composition. My wife's wine selection complemented her meal helped along by our attentive and knowledgeable wait person. I recommend that if your looking for a exceptional dining experience in a low key restaurant, then try 68 degrees.

Zachary L.

Yelp
Such well executed dishes with a sublime ambiance and friendly staff. It's a go to for those meals when you need a solid choice.

Yelp
I discovered 68 Degrees Kitchen by one of those lucky happenstances that sometimes the food gods give us. After being told there was 45-minute at a restaurant across the street, we pulled up this restaurant on Yelp and made an online reservation for 10-minutes later. We were seated right away and found a nice bottle of champagne on a wine list with a generous variety of choices. Despite the crowd, our server was immediately there and quite patiently returned several times as my companion and I chatted over the champs and dragged our feet about making a decision. We enjoyed a wonderful arugula salad with pomegranate and parmesan (which was the salad of the day) and they had no problem helping split the salad between us. I chose the Pork Marsala with mushrooms and fried polenta. My dining partner had the Duck Leg Confit with roasted fingerling potatoes and dried figs. You know how so often you taste what the other person ordered and wish you'd ordered that instead? Not a problem here. Both dishes were so wonderfully done there was no wrong choice. The pork was perfectly cooked and the mushroom marsala reduction was rich and earthy. The duck confit, no lie, was the best I've tasted. So succulent! We finished off with a chocolate, fudge cake concoction which spurred spontaneous noises of happiness from deep within. Pricey? A little. But you will not feel like you overpaid. In fact, for those flavors it feels like a bargain!

Yelp
Food was good, no mixed drinks. Atmosphere was good, but some confusion on parking
google avatar

Rebecca D.

Yelp
We booked a Valentine's Day reservation because it was one of the few spots with no prix fixe menu. Well surprise, we showed up for our res and there was only a $68/person prix fixe option. This was NOT communicated or advertised when we booked. Ridiculous. I told this to the waiter and he didn't care. Extremely disappointing because I already canceled another reservation and booked here because of this issue. We asked for vegetarian options, and there were basically only 2 items to order. He even mentioned an item made in chicken broth...obviously not vegetarian. All of the food came out in record time, clearly trying to flip tables fast. We paid over $200 for a subpar and ridiculously overpriced meal with nonexistent service. This restaurant is shady and will 100% not return and do not recommend. Thanks for ruining our Valentine's Day dinner.
google avatar

Kira R.

Yelp
Really liked this restaurant! Nice location and size, cute appetizers. Love the calamari and mac n cheese balls. Food came quick, even during Sat PM dinner, probably because the menu is really small. I think this means it is good- which it is. Wish they would add pizza or something to the menu because I honestly just don't think choosing between 4 pastas and 3 salads is enough. Desserts also weren't super sweet and quite small, but definitely interesting!
google avatar

Van N.

Yelp
This is such a cute little spot! Honestly I've never ventured on this side of town. I am happy we came hwre for dinner. Their wine selection is very reasonable and has a wide range of prices to choose from as well. I had the Manila clams linguini and my boyfriend had the chicken picata. Both were delicious! The flourless torte is a must have. We will definitely be coming back!
google avatar

Yelp
I've been spending a lot of time in the Tarrytown area lately and so it only stands to reason that I'd start trying the local establishments. Last night, after a stressful day at work, my guy and i went to 68 Degrees to have a nice dinner. The restaurant is a cute little space, with sort of a mid century modern look about it. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the food was delicious. We started with the calamari, which was lightly battered and fried and had a nice citrus tang to it, even before splashing it with a bit of lemon. It was served with a kicky little red sauce and some aioli. Both were flavorful and worked well with the calamari. I had the linguini and oyster mushrooms, which is served with an egg yolk, adding to the creaminess of the Parmesan cream sauce. The pasta was perfectly cooked and the mushrooms had a nice meaty quality to them. There was a sprinkling of green onion to make it sing. It was reported to me that the chicken parm was also a winner. My only dislike was the brut rose, but hey, they can't all be winners. I look forward to coming back and trying the ravioli of the day.

Nancy S.

Yelp
Great food, charming, unpretentious. Attentive service. Well priced. Outdoor seating area looks nice-would be a treat when it's not 106 degrees!
google avatar

WD S.

Yelp
The Caesar salad was very flavorful the beet and burrata was way over dressed and soggy. I had the special which was steamed mussels in a spicy tomato sauce. I liked the mussels and the sauce was spicy but it was so runny that the noodles held no flavor. Our other plate was the rigatoni and lamb sausage. Sauce was better but the lamb sausage was not good at all. Flavor was off and were not eaten. It was as if they used really cheap cuts for the meatballs. Ambiance is nice , wait staff was very friendly. Price like most nicer places was pricey. I heard that the first visit was wonderful but my trip was a miss. I will wait to see more reviews before I go back
google avatar

Rick F.

Yelp
Bland, incompetent and overpriced. Our order to go sat on the counter for 15 minutes while they claimed that the kitchen was working on it. No offer to make up for letting our food grow cold, of course. Their bolognese was nothing but a few tasteless crumbs of meat under a pile of pasta, with no sauce of any kind. The chicken parmesan resembled something from a grocery store freezer. Absolutely flavorless panna cotta to top it off. I'll never go back.

Mary M.

Yelp
We ate there on a Wednesday, early evening & it was not crowded- could hear the conversation - always a plus! Calamari was outstanding & big portion. We had classic bolognese & shrimp linguine. Both were very good! Very nice wine. Great service! Not cheap. We will return!
google avatar

William C.

Yelp
Was not a good night for us. Service was good food was mediocre. I will return since I have had servers good meals this was an off night Here is to better days
google avatar

Julia M.

Yelp
Our food was amazing- the patio was so pretty and warm on a cooler night. Our waitress was so attentive and sweet to our group celebrating a birthday. The pos system brought to the table was so convenient but again THE FOOD WAS AMAZING.
google avatar

Natalie B.

Yelp
We love this place! We call in to order pick up and the ladies who have answered the phone recently ( 2 different women) were so sweet and accommodating! They both had a great attitude, didn't rush while I was ordering and were just good natured people. It's refreshing. Not to mention the food is always delicious! The Cesar salad is one of my faves!
google avatar

Jack N.

Yelp
Another "how did I not know this place was here for five years?" moment. I guess its a sign of just how many good places we have to eat now that a gem like this can get lost in the shuffle. Anyway.... go eat here. It's great on all points. Free, available parking in their own lot? Check. Four top inside when we wanted one? Check. Service was excellent all evening, and the food was superb. We are definitely coming back, these folks are doing it right.

Katie C.

Yelp
Our experience was fantastic - service, food and wine selection were amazing. We got the rigatoni and bolognese for entrees and finished with a tiramisu and Prosecco!
google avatar

Yelp
I've been to 68 degrees twice now: once with another couple for a scheduled evening out with reservations, once for a spur of the moment weeknight bite. Both experiences were better than expected. The location has easy access with parking--easy to find. Clean and simple decor. Attentive and knowledgeable servers. Short but appealing wine list and menu. Daily specials. On our spur of the moment dinner--we grabbed a porch table near the deep eddy end and we had a lovely summer breeze with cooling hanging fern baskets all around. We shared a polenta appetizer and a mixed green salad. My Italian husband ordered the Bolognese; I had the trout. All dishes were excellent and thoughtfully prepared with fresh ingredients. This establishment is simple, low key, intimate, easy and affordable. They don't pressure you, try to upsell you. You are able to enjoy your dining companion(s) and your meal without lots of drama, pretentiousness, loud noise or lines. It is a really nice meal that you can eat quickly and get on to your next activity or linger and enjoy a peaceful nourishment of your mind and body. It is in a regular list for me! We will be back.
google avatar

Travis W.

Yelp
The food was great, but the service took far too long. They seemed understaffed which may be a post-covid impact.
google avatar

Crystal J.

Yelp
It was very uncomfortable here, temperature wise. It was very hot in there. I felt like I was sweating. Very uncomfortable experience. Flies were in there as well and I couldn't enjoy my food in peace due to that. Over priced for their "Italian" dishes. The sausage in the penne was very dry and not cooked the way it was supposed to. The sauce on the chicken Parmesan dish wasn't very tasty either, it was bland. It reminded me of the sauce that I ate as a child in spaghetti o's.
google avatar

Dika M.

Yelp
The Classic Bolognese was the most flavorful and moist (which sounds strange when describing pasta sauce) that I've had. The spaghetti was cooked perfectly. The restaurant was busy because of high school prom, but they maintained a high level of service. The Crispy Polenta was a recommendation of our waitress and outstanding! We also enjoy a nice bottle of Pinot Noir from Sonoma that wasn't outrageously priced.

Linda G.

Yelp
We really enjoyed dinner at 68 Degrees, will definitely be back. Calamari puttanesca and lamb sausage rigatoni.

Sandy B.

Yelp
Love this place--food is so fresh and fantastic. Love the homemade ravioli. And love the service -,Donna is our fav waitress- so attentive and sweet!!!
