I had an amazing experience at 7 saints during my time visiting London. Highly highly recommend. I have to say I tried another place which has a Michelin star later that week and 7 saints is wayyyyyyy better in my honest opinion.
First the place is very well decorated and has a cozy ambiance with its limited seatings, the glassware and tableware feel fancy. The foccacia is heaven with the shallot butter, i could eat spoonful of it. I ordered the salmon mi cuit as a starter, it was done perfectly and I could tell the fish was high quality, it was paired with fresh flavors ; cucumber jelly and the sauce , well balanced and light. As a main I had the beef tongue following the waitress recommendation, I was intrigued and unsure looking at the menu but she sold it to me and it did not disappoint. The meat was super tender almost melting. Very pleased to have given it a try, i dont usually go for those type of cuts. It is serves with a side of mac and cheese with truffle on top, as comfort food as it gets , flavourful. I have to say it was quite heavy as a main so beware if you don’t have a big appetite it might be too much. Prices were really decent, the quality I got is hard to beat for what I paid. If I were a londoner, I would be a regular at this place :)
