Exceptional Kara-age. I’ve never had anything like it and not sure if I can get it anywhere outside of here.

Come here every few weeks for Karaage and some other Japanese snacks. Hidden gem in the neighborhood and really all of Brooklyn. Chicken is always super fresh and cheap, the other menu items are pricier but still really well done. Can find some interesting sake here too. Highly recommend overall, need more places like this in BK.

I always go there for lunch, this is a grocery store that has a small kitchen inside. Don’t get me wrong, the place is clean and neat. They have prep meals and ready to eat food that is fast serving and delicious! Such as onigiri (rice balls), ramen kit, beef don, curry, bento boxes, bread, marinated egg… (they have too many things!!!) The ramen is my go to! Very affordable Japanese food! They always being innovative as well, constantly bringing out new products or foods.

There’s dog hair everywhere in here and I even saw a dog walking around near all the food and kitchen. Very rude staff and the food tastes like cheap packaged Japanese food. This place has lots of low ratings for a reason. There’s of amazing food options in the neighborhood but this isn’t one of them.

Google
FANTASTIC! I know that the pandemic has caused them to change around the inside of their store/restaurant but that’s perfectly fine! We were able to find some snacks and frozen foods while we waited for a food order and I noticed that the prices on the grocery items that they sell are quite low! Other Japanese grocers throughout the five boroughs tend to be more expensive so it was a lovely surprise to find that 750 Myrtle Diner had very reasonable prices. The food is phenomenal- I cannot recommend the chicken katsu dish enough! The chicken was so crispy on the outside and so insanely juicy on the inside. The freshness of their ingredients is astounding! I have not had a single dish that I haven’t fallen in love with. If you’re in the mood for some tasty Japanese food do yourself a favor and come here. You will not be disappointed!

Google
Great spot for a date, nice ambiance, service, presentation. We loved two dishes we ordered, the beets and beans and broccoli rabe. The house fried chicken was a little bland, the other options are probably tastier. Will be back to try the rest of the menu.

Chicken is amazing. I took a star off for the KRAFT BOX MAC N CHEESE. You can't make amazing chicken with box Mac n cheese. Make it from scratch

Google
Ambiance and Concept The diner is a unique fusion of a Japanese Steiner, a small grocery store, and a liquor store, all nestled in a cozy corner of New York City. This establishment defies expectations with its unassuming exterior and lack of a traditional Japanese name. The clever blend of dining and retail creates a vibrant, multifaceted experience, reminiscent of the small izakayas and shops found in the streets of Japan. Culinary Experience The highlight of this diner is undoubtedly its culinary offerings, particularly the tonkatsu. After a gastronomic journey through Japan, where I experienced some of the most flavorful tonkatsu, I was pleasantly surprised to find a comparable, if not superior, version in this unlikely spot. The pork chop is cooked to perfection, with a balance of crispiness and juiciness, enveloped in a rich, savory coating that elevates the dish to a sublime level. Service The service is warm and welcoming. The proprietors are not just owners; they are ambassadors of Japanese hospitality. Their kindness and attention to detail add a personal touch to the dining experience, making each visit memorable. Seating and Accessibility The seating arrangement is the diner's only apparent shortcoming. Most customers seem to prefer takeout or delivery, which the diner accommodates efficiently. However, for those who choose to dine in, the outdoor seating on the sidewalk is somewhat limited and lacks the comfort one might desire for a relaxed meal. There's certainly room for improvement in this area to enhance the overall dining experience. Overall Impression This diner is a hidden gem for anyone seeking authentic Japanese cuisine in New York City. Its unorthodox combination of a restaurant, grocery, and liquor store creates a unique charm. While the seating could use an upgrade, the quality of food, especially the tonkatsu, makes it a must-visit for both locals and tourists alike. Whether you're ordering delivery or braving the limited outdoor seating, you're in for a culinary treat that brings a slice of Japan to the heart of New York. **Verdict:** A delightful surprise offering a genuine taste of Japan in an unexpected setting. Highly recommended for its exceptional tonkatsu and warm service, with the hope for improved seating arrangements in the future.

love this place! best fried chicken sandwich, ramen kits, onigiri, snacks, candies, and a well stocked freezer section with fish, gyoza, and mochi ice cream.

Yelp
Great food, good prices, amazing staff! The fried chicken is fantastic. Also, there's lots of cool stuff in the store so be sure to stop by and check it out!

Yelp
I was very disappointed with my experience at 750 Myrtle Diner. I am disabled and the owner denied access to my service dog. I pointed out the fact that he is in fact a service dog and legally allowed to be there and she continued to say "no, not allowed." To quote the government website on the Americans with Disability Act, "Under the ADA, State and local governments, businesses, and nonprofit organizations that serve the public generally must allow service animals to accompany people with disabilities in all areas of the facility where the public is allowed to go." Not only did the owner deny me access, she was extremely rude. Do not go to this establishment if you support disability rights.

Yelp
Ordered the Japanese Karaage chicken. Excellent with moist white chicken on the inside and crispy on the outside. First time having it.

Yelp
A solid takeout situation here at 750. Tried the tonkatsu, a spam and egg onigiri and the chicken curry udon. The tonkatsu was definitely the hit of the selections, crispy and flavorful. Would definitely try some more of the menu here!

Yelp
Ordered on UberEats and the food was aggressively mediocre. The chicken katsu egg don was lacking in flavor and had the egg basically well done on top versus like I've had it at more traditional places where the egg is more moist and seeps into the rice. I had to add soy sauce for any real flavor and it didn't come with that. The mac and cheese was basically Kraft mac and was not good. The $2 potato salad snack was decent but was comically small (basically 2 little bites). Not sure why and how this place has so many good reviews.

Yelp
A couple of months ago I gave this business 3 stars so I had to update my review and give them the flowers they deserve!!! I'm still not a fan of the ramen but the chicken sandwiches and bento boxes are bomb!!! I literally go twice per week and I am never disappointed. Also the rice cakes are so delicious!!

Burnest S.

Yelp
The food was very good! I ordered the chicken livers, fried oysters, Japanese fried chicken, Brussels' sprouts and vegetables, potato salad and Japanese crackers. I asked about using MSG and they clarified which dish. The only problem I had was the choice of music with profanity. Rap music for me was a negative reflection of the business and didn't even fit the demographics of the area or the business culture! If I came back and the music selection was the same it would be for me an insult based on the above. I also was born in Japan and know about demographics of business in this area for I manage a business in this community.

Yelp
Wow! I can't stop thinking about their curry! It is so freaking good! Until now my main experience with Japanese curry has been from Go Go Curry (the restaurant) and Golden Curry (the DIY curry cubes), both of which I love. However, the curry here is on a whole 'nother level. I didn't know it could be like this: rich and flavorful, almost like gravy. I can only imagine how they cook it-- perhaps by brewing it in a huge pot for hours and hours in the basement? Oh yeah and the tonkatsu is perfectly fried, juicy inside and crispy on the outside. It's simply the perfect vehicle for the curry. The Karaage chicken sandwich is just delicious, though of course it does fall apart quite easily. The only downside is the expensive prices, especially for delivery. However, when I'm able to treat myself and spend a little extra cash on dinner here, I don't regret it. In the meantime, I just order the Popeyes chicken sandwich and cry a little because it's not as good.

Yelp
Another covid-era delivery review... 750 Myrtle Diner (strange name for a Japanese izakaya restaurant) is quite good. We didn't have a ton of dishes but what we had was quite tasty. I really enjoyed their kaarage, beef gyudon bowl, and their pork garlic bento box. The potato salad wasn't bad either. I think we'll check them out again and next time order some of the other items. Until then, we feel good about this one.

Yelp
I'm Japanese and eternally grateful that this place has become a mini grocery store during this pandemic. I have a natto and pickled veg addiction that I can satisfy by buying groceries here, and they also offer delivery ! They carry fresh Asian produce like Napa cabbage, enoki mushroom, gobou, as well as frozen items, high end Japanese beef, pantry staples and all the snacks I love. Great sake collection, they make their own umeshu (plum wine) too. And the karaage is great -- fresh made food when you order it :) highly recommend supporting them!

Yelp
This place is adding so much value to this neighborhood. We are so glad that it's here in Bedstuy right on Myrtle! It's a cool small Japanese shop/ restaurant. You can find sake, wine, snacks and food here. We ordered for pick up fried chicken karage and a side of curry and potato salad. So good! Excited to try more things off the menu.

Yelp
Came here for a 1 on 1 date with my S.O. According to the waiter, their menu changes everyday. It's a nice little place with shared plates. For 2 of us, we ordered like 4 plates to share, which was a decent amount of food for me to be satisfied but not too full. Original fried chicken- yummm. I absolutely love fried chicken and this does not disappoint. Crispy outside, moist inside. It's flavorful. It also comes with a side of citrus dipping sauce and that complimented the chicken very well. Chicken gizzards- i also love gizzards. I love the crunchy texture and this place makes it pretty well. I really enjoyed dipping it in the citrus sauce (part of fried chicken order). I don't know if they will give u the citrus sauce if u just ordered the gizzards. Keep in mind, my plate of gizzards wasn't 100% gizzard. They mixed it with chicken heart and some other unrecognizable parts as well. Tuna tartar- this had an interesting flavor which I can't say I loved, but it was decent. It's basically a paste, or pate, and u put it on a toast and eat it. Can taste the hint of Wasabi, the raw eggs. Texture had some getting used to. Chicken liver in butter- this was a mixed bag for me. I can't deny, the butter garlic parsley sauce was delicious. Everything I love. The liver itself takes Alot of getting used to. For those of u who have not tried liver before, it is VERY gamey, and has a very strong distinct after taste. I hated it when I was a kid....thought I got used to it as an adult already but apparently not. My first piece was not too bad. I actually kinda enjoyed it. But I think I ate my second piece too fast. The overwhelming after taste made me want to throw up. Luckily I didn't. I rested my stomach a couple minutes and drank some soju to mask the after taste. I was able to eat 1 more small piece afterwards but my fiance had to finish everything lol. Overall, this is a nice little place with some interesting dishes. I would come back again if I was around the area.

Yelp
750 Myrtle Diner is truly unique. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but you walk in and the decor is amazing, the kitchen basically takes up half the restaurant up against the wall, leaving only room for a handful of tables. Oh, it's most definitely not a diner, so don't get confused by the name. It's a Japanese bistro, with some other Asian influences. The chicken karaage was basically perfect. Giant chunks of perfectly fried chicken. The lettuce wrap with crab was weird. I expected a... lettuce wrap, but it was more akin to a sushi roll with lettuce inside. It was good though, and the portion size was nuts. For our mains, we got the duck soba and the duck with mushrooms and lotus root. The duck dish was really good. Lots of flavors intermingling together. They also have a bunch of Japanese beers and sake on their menu, including sparkling sake! Definitely recommend stopping by.

Yelp
My first visit was for my business with them. We, 4 men had tasted almost all menus, and were awestruck. It was a month ago. Now I came back with my wife, who is very picky for any type of cuisine. I and she experienced the excellent food. Eating one and expecting another was pure joy. My favorite was Vegetable Agedashi. It produces so called 'Umami' in its genuine way. You must try Karaage(Japanese style fried chicken) too. My Japanese colleagues found it superb even by their higher standards. Go check this hidden pearl. It deserves more delightful eaters.

Yelp
Our neighborhood is so blessed to have this place! 750 Myrtle Diner has some of the best Japanese food I've had outside of Japan, at extremely reasonable prices, and we are so lucky to have it in the area. Originally it opened as a sit-down restaurant, but I guess turned into a to-go shop with with a little Japanese store inside. With the change they also pivoted to be more focused on Japanese comfort food (Chicken Karaage, curry, etc) but the menu still has a wide range of bento boxes, tsukemono, American treats like Mac & cheese and mashed potatoes and so much more! I'm in love with the miso salmon bento box, which comes with a ton of different accompaniments, the Katsu don, and the always delicious onigiri. Their potato salad is also to die for and I love to pick up ramen broth and curry sauce when I go in to pick up! Everything is homemade, always fresh, so well presented and so well SEASONED. The flavor jumps out big time. I think they do a majority of their business these days via delivery - you can find them on the delivery apps as 750 Myrtle Diner, and also as Karaage Kid. If you like Japanese food, don't miss this place

Yelp
Omg. Just Omg. I saw only 2 Japanese chefs in the kitchen on Saturday night and those 4 hands made an art of food. It was just amazing. Every plates were flawless. Everything was fresh, seasoned, cooked, and grilled perfectly. Even their special cocktail was delicious. This is THE best restaurant we have ever been in NY. The chefs are serious and genius. So glad to have them in BK. - last night was our 3rd visit and it still is the BEST restaurant in NY. There is NO "Meh" food. They're perfectionists. Love their food. I'm a huuuuuug fan.

Yelp
Hands down the BEST Japanese fried chicken you can find! My absolute favorites are karaage, the Japanese fried chicken, potato salad, pickled veggies, ramen kit to go, and frozen marinated fish all house made by the super talented chef. All the lunchboxes here are freshly made per order. People here are very nice too. Seriously, I cannot say enough great things about them. Stock up your groceries here and don't forget to check out their sake bottles, meticulously selected by the sake sommelier. Not only takeout, they offer delivery too. Enjoy!

Yelp
So I am Jewish who looks Arabic and I go through discrimination all the time but in the end we mostly laugh about it. So this store which is basically12 wide and maybe 30 -49 feet deep. I won a condo around the corner here. So my hands were full and I decide to put a 3 dollar candy in my pocket handing out of my pocket it was pretty long about 2 deet long maybe but less. He handles it out of my pocket and tell me don't ever put it in your pocket. Number one racist I'm a blu color technician unlike his regular customers who probably either work from home or have mommy daddy money, either way I haven't left the store he had no business tanking things out of my pocket or causing me if anything when I was still shopping . The reason I had one of 8 items I. My pocket is because I came to get one item and it happens to all of us. So yea than they are the ones yelling hate crime when in reality they are very judgmental ppl .

Food Jerk X.

Yelp
If you're looking for something different, then this is the place for you. They serve up some of the most innovative and unique Japanese food without any pretentiousness or cliched liquid nitrogen, foams, etc. Example: pork belly, usually delicious but fatty and greasy, is served sliced thin in a light broth with veggies--such a clean, fresh taste. Silky soft tofu with snow crab is another winner, as is duck with lotus root. These and other options are truly unique and things you can't make at home. At the same time, you can also get delicious fried chicken. Service could have been a touch better the last time we were there (they didn't clear our plates when dessert was served) but they were jammed so I'm not dinging them for it. Craft beers are great if they have them. Mixed drinks are so-so.
google avatar

Whitney A.

Yelp
The first time we came here, it was great! The service was kind of slow, but they were nice and the food was good. This time was THE ABSOLUTE WORST. It took 45 minutes to get water. 20 minutes to order and then we got our food they brought us the wrong dish and proceeded to argue with us about their mistake. The food was okay, but there's absolutely no reason to not serve a table water especially when they've waiting for such a long time. Also, blaming the customer for the mistake of the staff is completely unacceptable! Left hungry and disappointed.

Yelp
Super cute place hidden in Bushwick. The chef changes his menu every day. We didn't have a reservation so we were seated by the bar area which faces a white brick wall. But they have this small shelf under the table where you can leave your bag which I thought was super cute. (All restaurants/bars should have that) Overall the food was excellent. Except the chicken honey matcha. The chicken was dried and all I tasted was honey. It was a little weird. There was only one server so service was pretty slow. We ordered two tapas and two entrees finished two hours later .. she did an excellent job keeping our glasses filled with water. I would def be back!
google avatar

Theresa P.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing. I'm new to the neighborhood! A perfect excuse to come two days in a row, due to a not quite stocked kitchen. I couldn't tell you the last time- or if I've ever done that before. It's just that good.
google avatar

Thea B.

Yelp
My husband and I firmly believe this place to be a true hidden gem of Brooklyn (and all of NY). We travel a lot and love any kind of food from Asia, so finding Myrtle Dinner made us so, so happy! The menu changes a lot which is really refreshing. The owners are a delight and the food is always delicious and creative. We love the decor, the relaxed but professional service... and the recyclable dish wear! Can't recommend this place enough!!
google avatar

Clarissa B.

Yelp
I've come back a few times since my first visit. It's in a great location in that there isn't too much competition for these dishes at the price point. I'm a fan of their compostable plates and nice servers. It seems the reason for the timing of food is that there's usually only one chef working; I say it's a place where you get t soak in the avant garde atmosphere and sip a beer talking to a friend or two as you wait on your food later on. It's not a place you go with hurry in mind. I've become fond of coming here on special occasions and hope to continue to come as long as I'm in the area.

Yelp
As a proud and stubborn New Yorker, every time a new, well-designed restaurant opens up in a neighborhood I am immediately skeptical. Admittedly, for the first few weeks that 750 myrtle opened up I walked past it, scoffing at the unique interior, the beautiful plates of food coming out of the kitchen, the ever-changing menu, etc.... I have learned through my years, that my stubborn attitude sometimes leads me to make wrong assumptions. 750 Myrtle Diner is AMAZING. When you enter the restaurant you are warmly greeted by the amazing servers. If you are so lucky to be there when Colette is working, it's like meeting an old best friend (her energy is REAL). Walk past the kitchen window where you will see Chef Mirai and Chef Kaoru always tirelessly experimenting, joyfully collaborating, and creating the most delicious and unique food. Every single dish that they make reflects the authentic passion and love that they have for fresh and seasonal ingredients, various cuisines and influences, and creating beauty out of things that sometimes seem so simple. I could list all of my favorite dishes (the chicken burdock root rice, the age-dashi tofu, the oyakodon, the uni-ikura don, the kara-age, the beef pho, etc.) but i would end up writing down the whole damn menu. I have never been to a restaurant that I can say that everything the chefs create is delicious and worth getting. I have never been to a restaurant that is so refined and appropriate for any type of "celebratory meal", yet so inclusive, communal, and affordable. The staff and chefs at this restaurant demonstrate a love and respect towards the customers, the food, as well as the larger community that they are a part of. For these reasons, I can say with confidence that 750 Myrtle is hands down my favorite restaurant in New York.

Yelp
Honestly insanely good. I rarely leave yelp reviews but have to give props to food made with such quality and care. The teriyaki chicken is something I would rarely order because it's so simple; but seeing that they butcher their own chicken daily I felt it was worth ordering. It was cooked with absolute expertise and was one of the best chicken dishes I've had in recent memory. Perfectly butchered. Crispy skin. Lightly seasoned, but very flavorful. Everything on this menu is simple, high quality and handled with care. It's a little off the beaten path but so, so worth going out of your way for. Wonderful and welcoming staff too. Small operation (literally think it was just two guys tonight) so be patient and you will be rewarded with fantastic flavor.

Yelp
Beautiful, elegant atmosphere and very friendly, professional service! I am impressed that they print out a new menu each day and update their Facebook and Instagram accounts with pictures of the menu, food photos, updates, etc. The management is on point with their business and I wish more people knew about this gem Japanese & European restaurant in Bedford Stuyvesant! The food was delicious (both take out and dine in). Though, I have noticed they like to garnish dishes with many green peppers, which we end up leaving behind. I recommend the hanger steak, duck, Yakitori-don, uni bombs and the ginger drinks. They were all so delicious! We saw photos on their social media accounts of past dishes and drooled over the seafood and sashimi platters. We hope to try more items on the menu when we visit next time!

Yelp
Everything I've had in my mouth in this place has been delicious. Raw fish, cooked fish, fried chicken, buttered mushroomed, grilled rice. Delicious sake recommendation from the server. The interior is interesting -- like a black and white photograph of an upscale hotel diner. When I went around 6 it was definitely a little quiet for the quality of the food.

Yelp
Came here with my girlfriend. Overall a thumbs down. Food was ok but an incredibly long wait. Pros: cute restaurant good ambiance. Cons: literally 45 minutes from ordering to receiving first dish. About an hour and 30 minutes before we received everything. 2-2.5 hours all in. Miso black cod: strange texture. I've had this dish at dozens of places...too slimy Chicken karage: good, daikon is refreshing Snow crab fried rice: just meh not noteworthy

Yelp
750 Myrtle is a hidden gem. Every meal was excellent. Will come back here again! This a great place to a a quite dinner for two or on a first date. You will not be disappointed.

Cao S.

Yelp
I don't know what's wrong with this place. We ordered a fried chicken dish and a salmon sashimi dish, we waited for 50 mins, got 5 pieces of chicken and never my sashimi dish. When I was leaving I looked around and nobody has food on their tables. Not sure about this place and unfortunately since this was our first visit it left a bad impression on us. Very strange for a Saturday night. I don't think I'll be back. Good luck.

Yelp
It was pretty good. Even if it didn't have many options, the menu was great. We had a total of 7 or 8 courses between the two of us. Nice selection. Food was fresh and nicely cooked. Ambience was nice and soft, I just wish they had better tables/chairs, but that's just me :)

Yelp
Everything was absolutely delicious. Great vibes and great drink selection. Personal favorite was the cow tongue.

Yelp
Updated: Ok. I really hate to update our experience from here, because we really liked it here before. However last three times i visited here made me rethink and i will never go back again. Last night, 03.01.2020, as soon as we walked in and the server(kitchen member or hostess, whatever the person's job was) talked to the chef in the kitchen in Japanese with serious face. After they had one 30sec conversation, came to us and saying "we are out of many stuff from the kitchen" with out saying hello. He even was not sure what was out. And giving us weird vibe and left us and go back to the kitchen and cutting some lemon. Also he licked his finger after that. Last time i was dining at the restaurant and i saw several cases like that to the other guests. I was very disappointed and i will probably not go back again. It is sad that their business was slow compare to the beginning of the restaurant. No wonder why. They should hire one more server and they get more chickens from the vendors so half of the menu is not out. Old review: What a fun experience at 750 Myrtle Diner. We did not expect to have such a great Japanese Izakaya at this location. When we walked in, I felt like i was not in New York, it felt like a Japanese restaurant in Paris or something. The food was great. We ordered Mentaiko Zucchini, grilled Chicken, grilled riceball, chicken jerky, and Orion beer. There was only one server which made the service little slow, but it is Izakaya, not fast based restaurant. All the foods tasted so good and different from other Japanese Izakaya. Make sure you get Agedashi Tofu. It is sooo go

A S.

Yelp
Unfortunately the wait for food here is too long. By the time the food eventually arrived both my wife and I wanted to leave and get our Saturday night back. The food may be good but who knows, I'll tell you when I get my order. :/ Until then, good luck Myrtle Diner!

Yelp
Wow, 750 Myrtle Diner was actually outstanding. The staff is pleasant and the place itself is adorable. Such a marvelous menu, it was extremely hard to choose, but I am really happy that I got Pork Belly. Not to mention, the service was excellent and the staff was really courteous. If I am ever in the area again I will love to come back to 750 Myrtle Diner.

Yelp
My new favorite go-to for ordering lunch. Reasonably priced, quality ingredients, and great selection!

Yelp
No phone number. Walked 30 mins to dine here. Arrived at 9:30, they're suppose to close at 10:30. The restaurant was full. They told me they were closed. No explanation given, just closed. No A/C

Yelp
A Japanese Diner in Brooklyn! I love NYC:) Everything is super delicious here and the service is fast. Our new favorite spot for lunch and dinner.

Yelp
I have been to this place before. I've been with friends. I like their food. They have given me good service in the past. But I just left and walked to Dekalb for food at Fan Fried Rice instead, because after I was already seated, given water and menus and the asshat of a waiter that was serving me was already taking my order, he informed me that they had a $20 order minimum!! With no signage! FUCK THAT. I don't mind spending $20 for good food. But I'm not that hungry. I went because I knew it was a small plate place. I just wanted a little bit of food. Not that much. I didn't want a drink. Just a small plate and some water 4 blocks from my home. I'm not a fucking tourist who needs to be priced out of the place. Screw that gentrification bullshit. This is Bed-Stuy. Not Tribeca. Serve your neighborhood.

Yelp
I came here for Dinner on a Sunday night and the place was not busy. First off, I loved the ambiance and the decor: there were real candles lit around the dining areas and the whole place had a nice classy feel. I was surprised that all the food was very Japanese. That being said it was very good! We ordered the Crab Fried Rice, Fried Okra, Fried Shishito Peppers, Smoked Salmon Mozzerella with Brocolli Rabe, and Fried Fish. The fried fish was my least favorite, but everything else was great! I was also very impressed by our server who paid close attention to our table and did an excellent job coursing our meal. We never had to wait more than a few minutes after finishing a dish before the next one was brought out. This is a great place to bring a date or come with friends. There was even one guy working on his laptop while he ate. There are only a few things keeping me from giving a 5-star rating: 1) The chairs were not that comfortable 2) Although the food was great, nothing stood out as truly amazing. I hear the menu changes almost daily, so I might be more impressed on my next visit

Yelp
What an incredibly rude group of folks. Normally, I would overlook nastiness - not let it ruin a nice evening with friends - but this was beyond the pale. When a waiter or the kitchen messes up an order, I understand that no one's perfect. But when they insist they're right and you're wrong, even though everyone at the table agrees the waiter and manager are wrong.... well, it's time to take this one off the list.

Yelp
Three words. NO HIGH CHAIRS. I went in with my 3 year old son and i almost felt like the waitress was confused or almost lost seeing a child in there. I mean if its a restaurant, why are there no high chairs? Nonetheless, the food was great, service was just ok being that the waitress didn't ask me at all if i wanted more water after she saw me chug down my glass of water. It was annoying having to ask for more water. Also, having dinner was a little uncomfortable considering my 3 year old was not in a high chair.

Yelp
Just like a previous review said, we have been turned away from service as well. They were "too busy" - despite the fact that there were more staff than people eating and we had arrived 20 minutes after it opened. We suspect it had more to do with how we looked, because as we exited a white, straight couple with no reservations was immediately seated. Heard from queer friends similar things have happened to them. Not down with supporting homophobia in my neighborhood. Avoid avoid avoid.

Yelp
Every dish we ordered was AMAZING. Menu was interesting, ingredients tasted fresh, and flavor was out of this world. They change the menu everyday, but we had a Harami grilled chicken shoulder/belly dish (so flavorful!), kimchi with sesame oil (really interesting if you're a kimchi fan), grilled edamame, crab fried rice, & soft shelled crab w/daikon + yuzu sauce and everything was impressive... they do a good job combining flavors and inventing new dishes. For drinks, they have sake cocktails, wine, + beer... we just stuck with wine but the sake cocktails looked interesting. Service was friendly & quick for us, and the place is really cute-- perfect for date night in the neighborhood! Excited to go back and try everything!

Yelp
My boyfriend has been coming to this place from the time they opened. From the first time he brought me here I have enjoyed the food. From the daily changing menu to the hospitality and customer service. We even had our parents come out one night and have dinner with us. This is one of our favorite go to date night restaurants and we couldn't be any happier. Love this place!

Yelp
Cute little Japanese store/restaurant. The staff working there are super nice and welcoming plus the food is always great. Great to look around for interesting snacks/condiments while you wait for your food.
