Initially this was gonna be a 4 star but I will gradually get to why I ultimately give this spot a 5 star review but starting off with a few grievances. First coming to the spot, it is small and condensed, there's no seating anywhere inside the place so not gonna lie, I was disappointed that I won't have the comfort of eating in, especially with the weather because it was COLD outside. Inside, the menu is rather limited. Think of In & Out where the staple food is a burger, fries and a drink. That's literally all that's available there so I settled on a double Cheeseburger, fries and I got a drink elsewhere because the place doesn't have zero sugar soda, another disappointment but I digress. Pricing of the food isn't too bad. It was only $16 and in NYC that isn't bad. The fries, were alright, passable but not amazing. Now we get to the burger itself and my goodness this burger, even slightly small in stature was BIG in taste. It literally saved this review. The beef was tender, the potato bun that covered it was firm to the touch, the cheese, grilled onions and the house sauce...I don't know what's in that sauce but I want some more of it. Heck, THIS IS WHAT WENDY'S LOUSY EXCUSE OF A "KRABBY PATTY" SHOULD'VE TASTED LIKE! Forget what they were marketing, the 7th Street Burger is the REAL Krabby Patty! You could come to the spot just for the burger and you won't leave here disappointed. They may have a few things on their menu but the burgers are definitely done well. The burger through sheer will and determination, brought what would've been a 3 or 4 star into a 5. That burger is SOLID!

The double cheeseburger is packed with flavor and delectable grease! Delicious. Only downside is that there is no dine-in option and for the burger price of $10, it was relatively small.

Great burgers for sure at a reasonable price. Make sure you grab some ketchup before you leave.

I had the double stacker burger and it was delicious. The bun was nice and soft and the patty was crispy yet juicy. The only down side was that it was a little on the oily side. Overall, solid burger 8.7/10.

The burgers are simple and delicious. They are smashburgers with a crispy crust. We got two cheeseburgers, order of fries, a Mexican Coke and a Sprite. The price was right and the fries were crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside and very delicious. 7th Street Burger is primarily take out only with a couple small tables out front so know what you are getting into before you go. I highly recommend them!

Food at any 7th Street burger is phenomenal, but this location stood above the many other locations I’ve been to. Here, your patties are super crispy and seasoned so well, so if you like a burger with excellent charred flavor, this is it. The fries are also always amazing. Service was excellent, and we were able to get our food made exactly as we wanted - a double cheeseburger for me and a double impossible burger for my friend. We also had to get their cokes in glass bottles because you can never argue that coke tastes the best from a bottle!

Tight little walk up ordering with no seating inside and maybe one tall table outside. Extremely friendly and pleasant cashier. Ordered a double cheeseburger with everything and fries. The burger was everything greasy and flavorful I was looking for. A bit sloppy but totally delicious. The fries were bomb as well. Ate standing outside at the lil table with two friends. A little on the pricey side for what you get. Must try though. Will definitely come back and recommend.

Fries were a 10! Crispy and perfectly seasoned. Burger was an 8. Very good! Fast and efficient.

Sticking to my 1 burger a week tradition , I sought out a new venue! This place is mostly take out and have some great reviews . I strolled over to this simple burger joint with high hopes. Disclaimer - this is not the place is you want a lot of options as it is fairly straight forward in the menu . I ordered the double cheeseburger and fries . The fries are stellar and seasoned nicely with excellent crisp . The burger is very good as well ( a tad greasy ) is perfect for those who like a no frills. In sum - great take out for a quick old school greasy smashed burger !!

Quick service, tasty burger, but little to no seating, this Chelsea location of 7th Street Burger on 23rd st and 7th ave is definitely more of a local takeout spot. Highly, highly recommend eating your burger freshly made as it will be much more flavorful, versus allowing the burger to cool and reheating later. It makes a huge difference. The burger was so tasty that we got a second right after. And at $6.50 for a single cheeseburger, it won't break the bank either. (An extra burger patty will set you back another $3 for a double cheeseburger, and an order of fries $4.50.)

Simply burger! World class delicious burger! Heard so much about this burger joint, it even appeared in Yelp's 50 burger joints in 50 states list. Luckily one of their store is right next to my work, perfect for lunch takeout. This store has a simple menu, burger fries and soda, that's it. No place to sit or dine, only to go. Got the double cheeseburger. It took about 10 minutes to get the order. The burger was amazing. Soft bun, yummy paddy, perfectly cooked, mixed with onions and sauce. I'd have loved the burger to be little bit bigger for its price. None the less, it's a must try.

Too much growth too quickly. I loved the original 7th Street Burger and was excited to see them doing well. I thought it was one of the best and most competitively priced smash burgers in the city, far and away better than chains like Five Guys etc. Well prices are up and quality is WAY down at their expansion locations. I think Chelsea is the newest and while the fries were pretty tasty the burger was straight-up bad, and they didn't put cheese on it (lol). The burger also looked like it had been run over by a car and then tossed in the Hudson River before being fished out which I would have given a pass on if I had gotten delivery but I picked it up. Five Guys far surpasses this location now which tells you everything you need to know. Bummer.

Typical 7th street burger spot. A take out spot with a burger that hits the spot on a late night. Not high end but does the job. The sauce is what makes this burger good.

If you're looking for a burger on your cheat day in a casual ambiance then you found your place. They have vegetarian option, but other than that- not healthy for you in any way. We ordered double cheeseburger, single cheeseburger, two fries, and two drinks and it cost $30. That is pretty pricey if you ask me. Tasty food. Although, we picked the food up(there's no seating available) and walked to Madison square park a block away and ate the food there. Food came out in under 10 minutes, and employees were kind. I would return back if I was in the mood for a greasy burger to eat in the park nearby.

If you're lucky, the personable, attentive, generous, and funny Keishawn will be your guide. (I'd get the t-shirt if he was on it). The Impossible burger is my wife's favorite burger in the state. I liked my meaty and cheesy double burger on potato bun with generous house sauce, which came out pretty quickly. They claim they use American cheese (which I don't like despite it's superior melt factor), but this tasted more like cheddar. The wrapper was damp with grease, not that there's anything wrong with that. If I could get extra pickle and chopped onions, or maybe a squirt of mustard, it'd be even better. The only thing else on the menu is fries- but you can order them loaded and ask for ghost pepper house sauce. Sadly, there's no room to eat there, and no diet soda options (just water and Mexican Coke), so plan accordingly. And, your wallet might not be super happy but your tummy will be.

Ambiance : none ; but there is a beauty in a small place that gets to the point; order food and go . Service : great , nice staff with quick service . Food : Limited topping makes ordering super easy and the older I get , the more I appreciate the simple things and pleasures of places like this. As for the burger, it melts in your mouth , perfect mix of juicy burger fat ( that I love in a burger ) and taste ! I personally loved the grilled onion smell as I open up the burger and the taste. Now as I ate it, I thought to myself this burger, it's like Shake shack and White Castle had a baby and it's 7th street burger. I Would recommend if you are craving a burger on the go or are hung over !

Let's start with service. Girls were smiling, took my order and delivered quickly when ready. 23rd St is very small with only 2 stand up tables to eat at. Light music playing in the background. Now for the meat and potatoes, no pun intended. Had a double with all the fixings. A little on the greasy side, makes for more deliciousness. Fries crispy, complemented with Heinz ketchup packets. Wish they had bulk dispensing since I like fries with my ketchup. Finally, 7th Street Burger serves Mexican Coke and for the first time I've seen, Mexican Sprite. Overall, definitely a good burger and fries.

Came here with my friend for burgers and this place was decent. Pros: + Friendly staff + Great vegetarian burgers + Short wait + Fast turnaround Cons: - Limited selection - No restrooms - Absolutely no seating - There are a few nice parks you can stop by though - Pricey for the service you're getting. This place was a great. By no means healthy but I really enjoyed the burger and fries. Really hits the spot when you have a craving, or perhaps a hangover that can only be cured with greasy food. A little pricey, but it's NYC! Overall solid, I would return! Staff were nice too, always a plus!

This 7th Street Burger location is great for stopping in to grab a delicious burger and fries. The menu is pretty limited with a cheeseburger/double cheeseburger, veggie burger, and fries. I did find out while I was there that they do have a few items that are not on the menu like their loaded fries which are apparently pretty good. Though the menu only consists of burgers and fries, they definitely do these things well. The burger was the perfect amount of messy and greasy to make the cheat meal worth it. The fries were well seasoned and the crispy on the outside while still fluffy on the inside. This location is small with no indoor seating at all and only two small tables outside where you can stand to eat so I would recommend planning on taking your food to a nearby park to enjoy it. The service was pretty good, they took our orders quickly and had the food out to us within 5 minutes. If I am in the area and have a burger on my mind, I would definitely stop in again to grab one of these delicious burgers.

After a five hour flight, I was so starving, found this place and demolished the food before taking a picture. Sorrrrryyyy... If you want a good burger from a simple and straightforward place, this is the spot. Tiny hole in the wall, close proximity to hotels. Walked in, three people in line ahead of me. Staff were all attentive and nice. Placed my order and had it in my hands and out the door in under 5 minutes. There's no seating, it's a grab and go kind of place. We'll probably hit this up again!

Great and fast service. Provided a plentiful amount of ketchup and napkins. The seating inside is a bit cramped - more of a grab and go or quick bite place. Definitely get a double, and their loaded fries were were a very generous portion size. Would highly recommend for a quick and filling bite.

The burgers are delicious but they are small. It reminds of a better version of White Castle burgers. The burger is good when Im craving for it. I say this because after I devoured my burger I was still hungry. For a $6 burger and still be hungry I was not happy. Otherwise the restaurant is small and lovey as well as the people how handled my food.

Small shop but a great place to get a quick bite. The burgers we juicy and tasty. The fries are crisp and firm. The loaded fries were amazing!!! Love the toppings and sauce! You can add a burger on your fries too! They have bottled coke and sprite! There were no tables in the store but they did have a few tables outside on the street. The only disappointment was that they did not get my order right. My burger turned out to not be a double cheeseburger. One of the loaded fried turned out to be plain. . Hoping the next time it will be correct. Willing to try this place again

Out of all the locations this place makes the best burger! Meat is hanging over them buns, so gooddd. The loaded fries were also so fresh that they stayed crispy under the heaping pile of toppings. I'm a weirdo though and enjoy soggy fries (when and only when they have toppings lol). As always it you gotta get creative on where to eat if you don't plan on going home but we made it work!

The food at 7th Street Burger is delicious! I ordered the double cheeseburger and loaded chopped beef fries, they were both very tasty and cooked well. I really loved the loaded fries, usually there's not enough toppings for the fries, but this has the perfect amount and was very filling!

This is a great location to open up a 7th Street Burger! Very close to the high line and other great outdoor places to take the food to eat. 7th Street is always a reliable go to for burgers and fries. You won't be disappointed, their sauce is what really makes it stand out from other burger places.

This really was a perfect burger. It was a little greasy, the patty was perfectly cooked and slightly smashed with grilled onions, and the bun was super soft. The fries were hot and crispy too. The place is small mostly with standing room to wait inside and outside there are two high-top tables outside. The menu is simple and straightforward so the ordering goes quickly and the wait was not long.

I came to the 7th Street Burger in Chelsea for the Yelp Elite event last week. It was a little intimate spot where you can order your food to go. There is one table outside where you can eat. Food wise, they offered us free burgers, fries, and drinks for ourselves and a guest. The burger was flatter than I expected LOL but not sure if that's because it got smushed in transit. I also ordered a single. It was still pretty yummy though. The cashier was also super kind and understanding and even gave us some extra coupons for free burgers!

Nothing at all has changed. Consistent great burgers, loaded fries and drinks from 7th street. I went in today around 1pm, there were 2 people ahead of me but the line moves very fast . As most 7th Street burger joints, they are small inside but the flavors of their food is always big. The establishment was very clean and smelled delicious. I got 2 double cheeseburgers 2 loaded fries and 2 Cokes and of course course tipped my good sis DOMINIQUE $10. I want to say a big thank you to Dominique for making me feel welcomed and warm. It was so good talking to her as I waited for my food. To see her as the face of the business as soon as you walk in is a plus for the establishment being her great personality and customer service. I will definitely come back and visit whenever it's a cheat day for me . Thank you 7th Street burger for always showing up for the community.

I heard about this burger spot and really wanted to try it. The burger is so flavorful and juicy it literally takes you to another world. The house sauce complements the burger so well. No frills. Just delicious food. The fries are also delicious and travel very well after a 40 minute ride in the car. Get a side of ghost pepper sauce to dip your fries and thank me later. Also the service is good and food is ready very quickly so you can be that much closer to enjoying one of the best burgers out there.

They've been quickly branching out. This new location is tight no seatings both inside and out. It's an order and go! Got a double cheese burger, loaded fries and regular fries. Food came out quick. Burger was hot and juicy. Fries were crunchy. Also got two Mexican coke. Everything is better when you wipe it down with a good glass of coke !

Amazing smash burger! I forgot to take a picture but it was super flavorful and one of the better fast burgers in the city! I would also order the loaded fries, the spicy rendition isn't too spicy and really hits the spot. There isn't much seating at this location (two tables outside the shop to stand at) but it is right next to a subway line

If you thought Shake Shack made the greasiest burgers, well now there's a new contender in town! And in case it wasn't clear, it was 100% worth it and delicious. The double cheeseburger featured two perfectly cooked patties covered in melted cheese. The fries were so crispy that I thought I was eating potato chips the entire time. One thing to keep in mind about this Chelsea location is that there's no indoor seating, so be sure to think about your eating location in advance (there's a standing table just outside). Overall, the service was incredibly friendly and efficient, and I'll definitely be back to one of the many locations across the city for my next burger fix!

Came here for the first time after a buddy of mine recommended it. This location is new and seems to be slightly smaller with a reduced menu than the other locations. Still, we came for the burger and did not leave disappointed. The cheeseburgers are legit - I love cheeseburgers and normally am not a fan of onions on them, but love the combination for these. Their special sauce reminds me of In-n-Out's. French fries are delish - perfect combination of crispy and tender on the inside. Love that they stock Coke and Sprite's with natural sugar too, although I do hope they bring the banana pudding to this location. You are only a few blocks away from the park so grab your burger and go enjoy it in the park!

The burgers are flavorful and delicious. My bf and I went for impossible burgers and they didn't miss a beat. He had a double impossible burger and I, a single, with loaded fries. Their secret sauce was made to be served on those buns. We will definitely come back for more and may even invite the kiddo next time, lol.

7th Street Burger is my favorite burger chain in the city and I'm glad they opened up another one in Chelsea! Service was v quick after ordering. Get their loaded fries - it's a must try!

Got the chance to try the double cheeseburger and loaded fries and it lived up to the hype. The smash patties were crispy on the edges and tender in the middle, and they paired well with the onions and soft bun. The loaded fries were also good, super crispy and hot so they were definitely made fresh. Customer service was friendly and they got our order out fast.

Definitely the best classic burger in NYC! Both the cheese and impossible burgers taste great but they're on the smaller side so I would recommend getting 2 if you're super hungry. As a heads up, the Chelsea location doesn't have seating but other locations usually do.

This burger doesn't disappoint and always hits the spot for me. Just another locaation serving up solid burgers. Service is solid, and the space is kind of small, but you can just take these and eat down the street

Cheeseburger & Soda. GOOD. I've eaten at a few SmashBurger places and I'd probably suggest someone try 7TH STREET BURGERS first 'cause they have 8 locations in NYC now. Opted for a single Patty today and spent the extra $3 on a MEXICAN COKE. Couldn't tell the difference. The Cheeseburger was more than satisfactory. RECOMMEND.

Place is small and not a dine-in location. I've had 7th street burger and been underwhelmed each time. I decided to try their loaded fries. It costs about $11, which is around the price of a burger and fries. The loaded fries are a chopped burger mixed in with fries, covered in onions, and slathered in cheese and House sauce. To my surprise it was actually good. Way better then their burgers. The loaded fries redeemed 7th St Burger for me. I do wish it was bigger though.

The fast-service no thrills burger here is great. It's a classic smash burger that has a nice char on it. Comes with onion, pickles, sauce and cheese. Eating it hot and fresh is a must. The fries here are also well-seasoned. They are a little bigger and thicker and remind me of five guys which I think is a good thing. The menu is pretty much just burgers and fries, and that's all they need. There really isn't any seating at this location so be prepared to take your food to go or eat outside at a standing table.

Could it be the best burger in NYC? Burger is cooked to perfection and comes with grilled diced onion, cheese and a secret dressing. 5/5 worth it.

The food from this place is amazing. The burgers and the spicy loaded fries were so good & I would get it again & again. Everything was so flavorful & their house sauce is chef kiss. Service was pretty quick so we loved this place for a quick bite. I would order several items as one burger is not filling enough but it's super worth it.

I had the basic cheeseburger and it was quite tasty and prepared and ready in a few moments and reasonably priced. The cashier/order taker was pleasant. There is nowhere to sit but there were 2 stand up tables outside to eat standing up with other customers. The small bottle of Coke was $3.50 and a ripoff.

NGL this was top 2 meals of my whole NY trip. Their house sauce is sooo good!! So worth the hype. It's more of a grab and go type of place but my boyfriend and I were lucky to have found seating outside (there's only 2 tables I think.) Their menus are small & simple but I guess it made us easy to pick what we wanted! We each got a double smashed burger with and a side of fries to share. SO SO GOOD. And their service was top notch. Good vibes all around :)

I am really happy this place is nearby. I get the Impossible burger which is delicious . The toppings are great. Love the fries as well Service is friendly and super fast.
