"Climbing the stairs out of the subway at 23rd and 7th, I was hit by the familiar smell and found the same plain counter, harried cook, and spare menu (cheeseburgers, fries, and old-fashioned bottled Coke) that made the place a sensation; the burger ($6.50) tasted exactly as I remembered — greasier and sloppier than Shake Shack, and more flavorful — and the Impossible version tasted the same but was more crumbly. A hand-scrawled menu addition of fries dressed with burger toppings hints at mild menu creep, and overhearing staff plan a new location and a milkshake machine made me hope they keep the shakes (and sell malts) if the burgers remain this good." - Robert Sietsema
