After reading several Google reviews we had to try this place out. You know when you read a name over and over and over again? Well that name is Manny and he is definitely the main man! Softly spoken, patient and a true gentleman. The interior is next level. You can play the old classic video games at your table with up to 4 people! Now that’s unique and quirky. We ordered a single patty Smash Burger, Fries, Bacon Egg n Cheese and Sweet Tea. All I can say is this place is buzzing as they had an order of 20 Burgers before us!!! The burgers didn’t disappoint. The Bacon Egg n Cheese burger was bursting with flavour and they didn’t skimp on the egg nor the cheese. To be honest I regret not ordering another one. The Smash Burger was tasty and filling. Cooked to perfection. Well done chef! There is no decision to be made….please try this place out. You won’t be disappointed.

8 Bit Bites in Manhattan is a true throwback! The atmosphere brings serious 90’s vibes, and although the location is cozy, it adds to the charm. The service was warm and attentive, and the food didn’t disappoint—delicious, filling, and easy on the wallet. With generous portions, it’s perfect for sharing; our group of four enjoyed a full meal for around $50. Looking forward to checking out their other spots across the city!

8 Bit Bites is a total gem! The service is top-notch, and the retro vibes with throwback music and arcade games make it such a fun spot to hang out. Manny was dope with good conversation and with excellent service. The smash burger was absolute perfection, and the milkshake? Out of this world. Who could say no to the Cinnamon Cruise? Visited all 5 locations in the city at least once with this one being the final one and I can confidently say that this business in general is well run with friendly servers, an accommodating vibe and very good food suiting for whatever taste you have. I'm familiar enough with the vibe of the place so only thing I will elaborate on will be the food. I've gotten very used to the shakes so I would say the one I had when I first came around a place like this in general was not the best first impression but they have since redeemed themselves. The smashburgers are A1, close enough to rival an established franchise like Shake Shack. They are a tad on the greasy side but that's what comes with meat like that so definitely have napkins ready. I had the funnel fries, THIS TIME WITH ICE CREAM and it made eating them so much more enjoyable, I simply can't have them without the complimentary taste and texture of ice cream next to them. Finally I had the cookie land milkshake and it was heavenly. I think I may have overdid it because all of that hit the spot but I don't regret it at all. May the venture of 8-Bit Bites be a successful one because you guys deserve it.

Total waste of money. I got one shriveled up piece of lettuce. The Nashville Hot Chicken was slathered in sauce to the point where things were sliding out and the bread was soggy. I walked less than five minutes so it was not the travel time that affected it. The quality of chicken was subpar, with tendon ruining the texture of the sandwich. No condiments were included or available to take when picking up food. The tater tots were fine, but the quantity was much less than I expected for the cost. Overall, great vibes inside, and it's fine for the price, but there are other better options.

Great concept. With alot of retro games. One table has four controllers. Ordered single patty smash burger with sour apple soda.

If you love burgers like I do this place is a MUST GO👏🏻🫶🏻 I always take pictures of the food but once I tried my burguer it was sooo good, I ate it all so fast I forgot the pictures haha😹 Food was absolutely amazing!! The milkshakes and ice cream were great too. Food portions were perfect, fresh, hot and well prepared. The place has games available so we didn’t even noticed how long the food took bc we were playing, which is great! Service was wonderful as well. We will definitely will be coming back to this amazing spot. 10/10 overall, very happy I found this place 😺

Love this little spot tucked away in between scaffoldings @ Seventh Avenue, Chelsea. I took a group of 11 year olds for a birthday celebration. I ordered burgers, fries and drinks and every one was happy whilst playing video games. The staff were very helpful with ordering and troubleshooting with games too. Thank you for having us!

This was such a fun spot to visit with the kids in NYC! Perfect spot for some budget eats! They had a great lunch special for only $10. The service was available or you could order on a screen. The space was so nostalgic and fun. It was a tiny spot but the lighted floor and decor was great! The kids loved it. We had the best time playing games and there are an insane amount of choices!

Been wanting to bring the kids to this spot for a while. Finally got the chance to do so this week. The big deal with this place is the atmosphere. The fact that you can play retro games while waiting for your food. The colorful colors, deco & Mario lights make it super cool. The music they play are all oldies so it's good. It's nice but , if I am being honest, the food wasn't all that. My burger was over cooked on the edges , it tasted burnt. Everything that was fried (tots, tenders , wings) all came out looking burnt. Which means the oil in the fryer needs to be changed or they just left it cooking longer than what it needed to be cooked. I was a bit disappointed to be honest. Because I did spend about $100 on food and drinks for 5 of us. I think my fave thing was the milkshake. Service was ok. Not bad.

I really liked the food, we got a lunch special that was like $10. Burger, fries, and a drink. The games are pretty fun but some of them didn't work lol. We had to get the waiter to take it off a few times. It's a really fun looking shop and have noises for when you come in

I work down the block from here and decided to try this place out for lunch. I'm so glad I did! This place is super cool and retro. Food was great & Anneta was awesome! Thanks for the welcoming me & the generous hospitality. I look forward to visiting again. Will definitely visit again for lunch.

I took my son to this new location for 8 bit bites in Chelsea. It is a small space with several tables with old school games. I loved the disco floor. For food, we ordered from the kiosk, which had the secret menu. Think cheat codes from different old school games you play, and you will find it. We got churro from the secret menu, which is changed monthly. From the regular menu, my son had a smashburger with bacon and cheese, which he readily ate. I had the Nashville chicken sandwich, which had the perfect coating of sauce covering it. I ordered it with tater tots covered in cheese sauce. Next time, i would forgo the cheese sauce, which makes the excellent crispy tater tots soggy and has little flavor. For games, we played Sonic the hedgehog, and my son learned how to hold a controller. Service is great as the food was served pretty quick and hot. I would go again with my son. Tips: Even though it is small, they do have a bathoom. Ask the front for help starting the game as the qr instructions are not very helpful.

Like many of you, I first heard about this place online. I thought it looked cool from what I saw. My friend had eaten at another location and wanted to come here. The store is very stylish but pretty small. It looks exactly as advertised online. There are several tables with games you can play. You have your choice of old school games to choose from. Pretty much anything from before the 3D era. When I first came I got the funnel cake fries with strawberry toppings. They were pretty good but not something I would get again. Maybe if I were here with friends and didn't want a meal. My 2nd trip was a smash burger, fries, and the rainbow road milkshake. I was also able to try the tater tots. The burger was legitimately one of the best burgers I've had in a while. Unfortunately it is small and at $6.50, too expensive. The fries were also really good, although I ordered tots. As for the milkshake, it was a vanilla milkshake mixed with fruity pebbles. That one was very delicious. The food came out about 10mins after I ordered it. I was able to play Super Mario Bros 3 while I waited. They called my name when it was ready. All in all, this is a great spot to come with friends. Only issue I had was pricing but nowadays everything is expensive.

The place is fun with the old school games at each table, as everybody has already pointed out. You order at the front, just like at a McDonald's. They then deliver to your table. They have a sign saying they charge 3% extra for credit card charges. Not sure if they actually do it. I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich, the tater tots and a soda. The chicken was thin, crispy and a bit spicy (not too spicy). It had a hint of sweetness. The bread was soft. Plenty of sauce. It may have been a bit overcooked. The tater tots were fine. It's not the best chicken sandwich. I did enjoy playing punch-out haha. Anyways, I may go there again next time I want to play punch out again.

I've had 8 bit bites a few times. It's a really fun restaurant that serves pretty tasty food. I wouldn't recommend the chicken sandwich unless you get the Nashville hot chicken sandwich, which is now one of my favorite chicken sandwiches next to Popeyes. They have great deals on Facebook too where you can get a burger, shake, wings, or chicken sandwich for free if you order $10 worth. The burger is pretty good and I'd recommend the double burger although a bit pricey for the size. What I love the most may be the tator tots. I ask for extra seasoning. It's crispy, spicy, and delicious. The tots are way better than the fries. Although not everything is a hit, I know what I really like from here and from that I'll give it a 5. Also the free games is a nice fun bonus.

It took over 20 minutes to get one order of boneless wings and one order of Fries...only one customer ahead of me. My partner's separate order was one milkshake which they forgot about. He had to go ask what was going on after 20 minutes. Is your staff high? That's the vibe here.

Love the concept! The hamburger, chicken sandwich and fries my husband and I got were so delicious! Highly recommend for good food and a nostalgic experience!

Classic smash burger It was good but lacked flavor Unsure will return *might go back to try the Flying Dutchman with the onions as buns but overall the patty needs more seasoning

When researching places to eat while visiting NYC I stumbled upon this restaurant via a blog. I have two boys who LOVE video games and this was the perfect spot for them. The food was really good and enjoyed by all. I wish they offered a kids menu, but I understand that maybe this neighborhood isn't very kid centric. My husband enjoyed the video games as it brought him back to his childhood and the games he used to play. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who like video games and burgers.

The food was delicious! The portion size of the loaded fries was perfect for two people. Everything was seasoned really well. Luis (cashier/waiter), was very helpful and accommodating being that it was our first time. The location is new so it very clean & kid friendly. We will definitely be back

This is a nice spot for a cheeseburger special for lunch. The total came to $10.00 for a cheeseburger, tator tots, and soda. The cheeseburger came with lettuce, tomato, pickles and sauce.

I found this place totally by accident looking for somewhere to eat and was absolutely blown away by how easy it was to order and how sweet Bellamy the cashier was to us. They are an absolute gem and I wish we had a location back home! The food is fantastic and cooked fresh to order and the shakes are delicious and thick! The place took me right back to my childhood and added flair and nostalgia in ways I didn't know I was missing

Came in on a rainy day to grab a quick bite with my family on my way home. The employee had the entire front wide open which made the seating area unbearably wet and cold. We ordered some tenders and a shake. The tenders were over cooked and fried in old oil. The shake had way too much cinnamon. The employee at the front was also incredibly overbearing. Interesting concept but it is not done well here, go elsewhere.

I used to get food here frequently but today will be the last day after the most disgusting experience. As I step in to pick up my order, the worker is in the middle of cleaning out the bathroom trash. They are holding the trash can with one hand, bare hand no gloves. I can see the toilet paper and trash in the can that they are holding. my order is ready so they stop, place the bathroom trash can down on the floor and grab my food bag with that SAME hand and give it to me. I was too stunned and disgusted in the moment to say anything. That bag went immediately into the trash for me. That is so unsanitary and disgusting that they would touch my food bag with the same bare hands as the bathroom trash bag, right in front of me. It makes me wonder how sanitary they are while making the food. There was another worker behind the counter that could have given it to me that wasn't in the middle of cleaning the bathroom.... On top of that there were rowdy kids sitting in front of the steps/door smoking weed and spilling juice/soda all over the floor in front of the entrance.

This is the coolest restaurant I've been too. The food is good, but the atmosphere is crazy. Light up floors, and games to play while you're waiting for your food. The service was also great, very nice people. Only thing is that the place is small, but the games make up for it. Definitely should check it out if in the area.

I have to say for my first time trying a new place. Outside of my regular places are going and eat. 8 bites eat like a kid again in Manhattan off 23th sr the customer service was very nice right when you walk in the door the guy said hello you really find that anywhere. and they was very fast for getting my order ready for me. Very tasty and I gave it five stars but I will give it more than five is that good and the customer service is awesome. I definitely will be going back to that place.

During My Time At Work, I got a free coupon to try one of the selections they had here, and i absolutely love their milkshakes . The burger was delicious, too, and i had so much fun playing some classic fighting games after i finished my meal! The service was very friendly and offered insights on what else to try out next. The ambiance feels like a great checkpoint to relax, eat and have some fun if you have time to wait around!

burgers were oily, games didn't work, barely any space, chairs are uncomfortable and theres a Mario sound when the door opens. I hate it. would not come back

This place is full of great vibes as soon as u step in the doorway. Great music, great food, you could play sega, Nintendo, Atari etc games as u wait for your food or while eating. The service was fast. Didn't wait long for the food. And the workers there are very nice and very attentive! I had chicken strips mild and delicious. Their bbq sauce reminded me of a Korean flavor but delicious. Tartar tots a plus, i had seasoning in mine and there is an option if u don't want seasoning. I was playing Tertris 1988 version while vibing to kriss kross great vibes.

Ambiance is definitely the only reason it's getting 2 stars. It was nostalgic and the games created a fun atmosphere. The food on the other hand, not that great. Burgers were over charred which gave them a funny taste. Chicken tenders and fries were either overcooked or fried in dirty oil (both looked dark brown / burnt). When we arrived, the place was empty. We were a big group that required 2 tables which was not a problem because they were available. We ordered, played while we waited, and got straight to eat once the food came. We spent close to $150, but were asked shortly after getting our food to give up one of our tables so that other guests could sit. They were not rude about it, but we had not hit the 30 min limit, we still had food in front of us at the table (clearly not done eating), and we were still waiting for additional menu items we had ordered. Definitely not the best experience. The milk shakes were great tho!
