"The restaurant part of 801 Restaurant and Bar is why most people come here, but the bar deserves some love, too. If you’re looking for something quiet or more intimate, there’s a bar on the second floor that serves one of the best espresso martinis we’ve had in a long time. If you’re looking for something more rowdy, there’s also a rooftop bar that gets crowded quickly with younger folks looking for a good, but messier, time. " - omnia saed

Brunch at 801 was good! The service was fast and everyone was polite. Since the building is on a corner, seating is fairly close. On the bright side, the food was delicious. From the french toast to the drinks, everything was spot on. The hash browns were a bit bland but there’s nothing that ketchup won’t do! Would definitely go back to try their dinner menu!

So, first visit and I was not disappointed! We went during Sunday brunch, pretty lively crowd! It was refreshing to experience restaurant staff who worked so well as a team; not just our waiter checked on us throughout our meal, and they made sure we were well taken care of!!! My burger was very delicious, but the chicken sandwich wasn't so flavorful! Glad I visited! Stay safe!!! ✌🏿

A great little spot you might miss if you weren't looking! The establishment was recommended by my college kid who has great taste buds, is a lover of trendy spots and can be a little frugal. Great brunch menu options... highlights included the peach bellini, steak and eggs, bottomless mimosas (for a great price!) And this breakfast sandwich! Sunday morning was busy, but the energy was amazing!

We came for bottomless mimosas. But the food itself good have been better. But we got drunk so don't really remember. The presentation of things was nice and the experience was nice. But better places exist

The ladies and I took to the streets of DC and happened upon @801dc. Located not too far from the Howard theatre and Howard University 👣📍. The roof top bar was definitely a vibe but too crowded to fully dig in and enjoy our meals so we decided to sit on the second level. Let’s talk about the food - AAAAMMAZZINNGGG 😋💕 Pictured 📸🤳 Kale salad w/ salmon Asparagus salad w/ salmon Grilled chicken Pura Vida Bowl Food: 10/10 Staff: 10/10 - Bartender played a birthday song for me & gifted us with free shots 🥂 Bathroom: 5/10 - 2 singular bathrooms and 1 was out of order

Service was fast and expedient. Bottomless mimosas are inexpensive and come with 4 flavors which were fun to mix and match. The food was a little lacking which is why I couldn't give a full 5 stars but overall a good time. I'd encourage everyone to form their own opinion.

This is a good spot for brunch! I wouldn’t say one that you visit all the time but definitely one of those that you think of when you’re unsure of where to eat. They have a pretty good variety of juices for mimosas which are served in mini carafes. Super cute! They also have unlimited as an option. What I like about this place is that it’s pretty cheap for the amount of food and quality. I got the 801 brunch which was pretty decent so I would rate my meal a 7/10. The steak and eggs were 9/10 according to my friend. Overall experience 8/10

The food is reasonably priced and came out quickly! The truffle burger and fries were great and the pura vida bowl was well-seasoned. The spiked cider was also nice. Big fan as well that the roof is now covered with heat lamps!

Yelp
Highly recommend brunch on the second floor! There are a variety of seating options, we chose the bar. Both Tago and Kevin were welcoming and attentive. As I explained that day, I found the spot on Yelp that morning and wanted to try the food! The Breakfast of Champions dish was EVERYTHING! (5 stars) It was filling and had lots of all ingredients! My friend ordered the chorizo tacos which she liked but vowed to try the dish I ordered the next time. The Bottomless Mimosas were lovely; especially because you're given the juice on the side. I ordered strawberry and my friend ordered grapefruit. They also offer a good deal with cocktails as well! The only part I didn't like was the $4 charge for one slice of toast. I think I've found my new Sunday brunch spot!

Yelp
I stopped by recently for brunch. This place was packed on a Sunday. They feature 3 floors. 2 floors with bars and a rooftop bar with great views. Staff here are friendly and work well together. We arrived for our reservation time and they are very strict with your 2 hour time slot. We got the bottomless mimosas and cocktails option. Food wise we ordered everything from the avocado toast, 2 egg breakfast, California Benedict, steak + eggs, and the breakfast of champions. Everyone agreed the steak was the highlight today. Meat was tender, cooked perfectly and great fat to meat ratio. The chimichurri demi was amazing. I would request that on the side to dip with your fries. My friends and I stayed for the entire 2 hour duration. The staff was accommodating and allowed us to bring our drinks up stairs. The rooftop featured some tvs, shade and bench seating to do some people watching. Overall, the value here cannot be beat. For $48, bottomless mimosas and 6 other drinks to choose from is a steal in the District. Yes, there are places that have bottomless food as well, but we definitely got our $ worth with each of us having 2-3 espresso martinis. Highly recommend coming here for brunch. They have some fun brunch cocktails to order and a nice variety of food items.

Yelp
Solid brunch that never disappoints me or my friends when we need an easy brunch situation. The staff is friendly and professional. The spot is clean and stays busy regardless of when you stop by. It is essentially on U street so it's not too quiet. But everyone usually is there having a great time especially when it warms up outside.

Yelp
I haven't been to many rooftop spots. I'm changing that, & this spot is one of many to come!! With that being said I went to this rooftop spot on Florida avenue In N.W. D.C. Let's go... . Where I am: @801dc . Location Reviewed: 801 Florida Ave., N.W. Washington D.C. . Menu Includes: *See Website* https://www.801dc.com/ . Items Reviewed: Their 801 Rum Punch (Coconut rum, with a house punch $12). DECENT. More rum than flavor... Their Lemon Crush Mocktails (with lemonade, & a spritzer $7). PASS. One of the drinks had something floating in it, the other, unfortunately was too bitter. Their QuesaBirria Tacos (beef birria, with chihuahua cheese, inside a blue corn tortilla with consummé $18). DELICIOUS. Cheesy, meaty, & crunchy...with the consummé...good. Their Steak Tid Bits (chopped flank steak with sautéed peppers, onions, & horseradish sauce over a bed of fries $12). DELICIOUS. The steak was a tad too tough, but its seasoning was...good. Their Lobster Mac & Cheese Balls (chopped lobster, & deep fried mac n cheese beignets with a marinara sauce $13). DECENT. I needed more flavor, & lobster. Their Pomme Frites (fries with ketchup, & house dipping sauce $8). DECENT. They were ok fries, with a tangy mayo dip. Their Strawberry Salad (with spinach, goat cheese, walnuts, & a raspberry vinaigrette $12). PASS. The vinaigrette was overpowering, & the strawberries weren't fresh. Their Chili Salmon (with chili ancho, Chile guajillo, mashed sweet potato, & a mango pico de gallo $22). PASS. The salmon was old, & extremely fishy. This combination didn't blend well. Their Chicken Al Pipian (fried chicken with pipian Rojo, spinach, & rice $18). DELICIOUS. Well fried, the Rojo was...good. . Online Navigation: Easy . Customer Service: Decent. They spoke. But it just took a while for me & my company to get served. . Parking: ROUGH!! Uber, Bus, Subway, Lyft!! . Music: YouTube-Backyard Band Pocket . Yelp
801 was pretty good. It has a pretty normal, crowd pleasing menu and reasonable prices. You aren't going to be wowed but you aren't going to be disappointed, either. Many of the reviews on here are for brunch, but I visited for dinner on a Saturday. It was pretty quite at ~6 PM. I sat on the first floor, which was a friendly if somewhat plain space. The menu is mostly Tex Mex and American, with dishes like tacos and burritos but also burgers and salmon. To drink, we had beer: Right Proper Raised by Wolves ($8) and Modelo ($7). Then we had the Quesabirria Tacos which had two large birria tacos with consomme ($18). And the Chicken Al Pipian, which was two pieces of fried chicken with pipian rojo, spinach, and rice. Pipian sauce was new to me -- it's a Mexican sauce made with pumpkin seeds and dried red chilies. Both entrees were solid. The pipian sauce wasn't spicy, but had a nice, slightly spiced, savory flavor. The rice reminded me of butter rice when I was a kid, which I liked. The fry on the chicken was very good, although the chicken itself could have used some more flavor, either from a brine or from some spices in the fry. The tacos were pretty standard -- beef, melted cheese, a little bit of burnt cheese flavor, and broth. Service was friendly and timely. Again, pretty good but also pretty average.

Yelp
Celebrated partner's birthday here and it was so special. Wonderful foods great drinks and great birthday desserts! Will def come back

Chiquita R.

Yelp
This was my first time here at 801, and I must say I enjoyed myself. It wasn't busy because it was the holiday, so people probably assumed they were closed. My steak was good, just the way I like it medium rare. Scrambled with cheese, and they do charge extra for cheese. I could have had more, but it's all good. I wanted potatoes, but those fries hit the spot! The sauce on the side I poured some on my steak, which is oil and herbs. Mimosas... 3 different flavors OJ, peach, and I believe strawberry... don't quote me on that because I can't remember. It's definitely worth a visit, and all of my friends' food looked pretty good, too! Check it out!!!!

Candace B.

Yelp
Came here for my friend's birthday brunch. The food was good but the service could have been better. I ordered the steak frittas and said to the waiter does it come with anything and he said no, so then I ordered hash browns. Only to find out it comes with French fries. So the bigger the total the bigger the tip. They sang to her which was nice.

Jessica E.

Yelp
We stopped by for brunch. We didn't do the bottomless since we figured we'd only get 2 or 3 drinks so wasn't worth it. The breakfast sandwich was not good. I took one bite and I was done. It needed more arugula and aioli. The Parmesan truffle fries didn't taste like Parmesan nor truffle. Just tasted like salt. The steak wasn't well seasoned. The steak was only saved by the chimichurri sauce, which also could have been low flavorful. The expresso martinis were sometimes good. They were not consistent, some rounds we ordered were better than others, and the glasses they came in were not consistent. Great music tho! Some reviews said it was too loud. I didn't think so. And great vibes.

Yelp
Came here with my god daughter for her graduation dinner! It's her favorite place! We got the spicy margaritas! Really good and refreshing! Shared shashito peppers. Decent. Maybe needed a little more char! She got the fried chicken which was a large serving with a delicious curry like sauce!! I got the cod in a coconut sauce! Really yummy!! Highly recommend. Service was ok but food was worth it!!

Yelp
Every time I go to 801, it's usually for brunch and it never disappoints me! The restaurant has two levels and although smaller inside, its very cute ! The service is always amazing, no complaints. The real star of the show (aside from me of course) is the brunch! I can rave allllll day long about how those buttermilk pancakes were so fluffy, served with fruit to add a little sweetness to it. The bacon is perfect, not too crunch but just right. I tried the egg scramble, I'm a little biased because I'm not a big fan of eggs, HOWEVER, the egg scramble and the breakfast sandwich were both very good. Of course my day wouldn't have been complete if I didn't have the fries, which were absolutely perfect. Well seasoned with a nice crunch but still maintaining its fluffiness. The drinks were great! They do offer bottomless mimosas, just be sure that your entire table is going to buy into it! I will be going again soon! Happy eating !

Yelp
This restaurant used to be one of my faves within the area. I knew I could always count on them for either some good pasta or their fabulous salmon that they USED to have. For the longest I would always drive by and call, hoping that they will open back up soon. They have finally opened back up and it has come to my attention that they have a new menu. I was hoping to get my favorite salmon dish when I was caught by surprise to find out about due new menu. I thought I could trust getting the new chili salmon, but I was quickly brought to my senses. The sauce alone brought the salmon from a 10 to a 6, highly disappointed. This new dish had me wishing for old management back (they said they kept the same owner, but switched management). With the old salmon dish I got rice AND a vegetable. Not this time though, it only comes with a starch, no vegetable. Break my heart, LOL! Despite the food not being the same, the customer service is always lovely.

Fredrica A.

Yelp
This place is great if you want a good value brunch. There's a bunch of bottomless drink deals, but I opted for the single Bellini which is $10 each. I got the Breakfast of Champions, but mine came with sunny side up eggs. It was delicious but would have been even better with scrambled eggs. It is a lot of food! My friend got the French toast which is also a special. Our bartender/waitress (Lindsey, i think) was very kind and welcoming. Will definitely come back.

Daraja C.

Yelp
I was so pleasantly surprised how tasty the brunch skillet was! Potatoes, chorizo, bell pepper, onions, jalapeños, cheese, eggs how you like them and green salsa??? Yeah I'd order it again and again, whole cast iron was cleeeean when I left the table! Type of meal you eat and wish you had some to save for later! Another plus, we did bottomless and weren't searching waiting for our server to fill our glasses. We left sufficiently buzzed annnnd we were content with the price we paid at the end. For bottomless especially, you can spend over $75 at some of these places in DC but 801 is not on that list and I'm grateful! I hope to be back soon and I hope the skillet never leaves the menu! It was poppin' so I'd recommend a reservation, especially for the weekend!

Shari D.

Yelp
It's been a while since I stopped by and it was just as good of a time as before. They have awesome drinks and daily specials, I always enjoy their rooftop the most, although the fans weren't on so the heat was intense. The service was quick and helpful! Definitely back on my summer list of spots.

Shawn B.

Yelp
Visited this establishment for happy hour and I must say the food was very good. The drinks were also pretty strong. I opened for sitting at the bar because I appreciate how quick bar service can be. I asked the bartender for some suggestions and he didn't steer me wrong. Would definitely recommend this place if your looking for a happy hour spot.

June J.

Yelp
Yelp reviews led us to this brunch at this lovely place! Off the street parking was hard to find, so we parked in the lot down the block, which was $20. Unfortunately we were stuck in traffic, so we arrived too late to enjoy bottomless mimosas. However, we did enjoy an orange crush and espresso martini. Both were really good, but if you're a coffee lover, then the martini is your choice. My husband's first entree choice was brisket and eggs but they were sold out. Our waiter suggested steak and eggs instead, and he thoroughly enjoyed it. I had popcorn chicken and French toast. The chicken was just enough protein to compliment the French toast, which were made with french bread I believe. 5 STARS! I would love to go back and enjoy a brunch full of mimosas!

Rhonda C.

Yelp
Very cute brunch spot with truly bottomless mimosas and pretty good food. Considering our party was about 12-15 people, the waitress kept the bottles on the table Coming. I think there was only one mixup on an order...and again for a table of 12-15...pretty impressive. Okay, so things I enjoyed: - food was pretty good. 4/5 stars for sure. Breakfast tacos and the Benedict were both pretty delicious. - the bottomless was bottomless AND we had several Juice options to make our mimosas to our liking. - the ambience is a fun brunch vibe (at least on a SundAy morning) - reasonably priced - they have an app that lets you split the bill solely based on what you ordered! It was so great. made life easy for everyone. Overall...a good time was had. Will be back to try more of the menu and take a peak at their non-brunch options.

Sharlene S.

Yelp
Brunch, oh brunch! Service- Celeste was amazing. Not only was she by herself but she took such good care of us ( and Dre I say her 5+ other at tables) She was personable, professional, and attentive. Alex in the upstairs bar was pretty lovely too. Shoutout to the bussers, food runners, and manager that was supporting her. Vibe - great lighting, decor is cute, great music brunch selection. We were all singing at one point. Food- great flavors, large portion sizes. We got the calamari, lobster Mac and cheese balls(the ), popcorn chicken to start. And then we got the crab cake sandwich, brisket hash, and avocado toast. I didn't want bred on my crab cake sandwich and Celeste offered a lettuce wrap, yes please! Drinks- it's a 2 hour bottomless. You get your own bottle of champagne and several juice options. Orange, strawberry, grapefruit, and another I can't remember. Choose your adventure. I'm a mimosa purist, so love that I could just do that with no juice. (Why waste the additional calories, hehe) All in all the food, drinks, vibes, and service was terrific.

Rony E.

Yelp
The service, ambiance, food and experience was everything!! I recommend this to anyone. We came in a group out of town and everyone's food was amazing ! Thank you 801!

Eiley F.

Yelp
Solid happy hour menu. Drinks were under $8 and food was under $10. The food was fine to me--definitely not overpriced and nothing to write home about. I felt like it was pretty standard DC HH food. The rooftop is nice at sunset! You can hear a lot of street noise so if you're trying to have a conversation, your best bet might be downstairs on a different floor. Service was quick. There are three floors to the restaurant.

Jocelyn H.

Yelp
Omg so I was a little Leary about this place. But pleasantly surprised! I stuck with French toast to be safe. It was amazing! They don't use the normally Texas toast bread! I liked it! I added bacon cause I love bacon! The place is 3 stories. They put our table outside, so we ended up having to sit at the bar. We would have had to wait another 30 min to move to an inside table. I didn't like that since we did not choose to be outside and it was raining. But overall it was good. Our second bar tender wasn't very nice at all! It was clear she didn't want to work that day!

Anushka M.

Yelp
We were a large party of about 15 people that came for bottomless brunch. I had emailed their manager a couple weeks before to ensure we got a table and they had the capacity. Everything ran smoothly and I had to put down a card to ensure we would arrive for our reservation which is normal. The experience at brunch was ok. Service and employees were really friendly and good about bringing bottles of champagne when we ran out. I love that you can make your own and mix it with different juices, the strawberry was my fav! For food it was definitely pricier than I thought it would be and it tasted average. I got the chicken sandwich which was pretty dry. Most of the traditional breakfast seemed good. The one dish that really stood out to me was the popcorn chicken which came with a really good dipping sauce. It was delicious and a hit at our table. Overall it wasn't a brunch experience that stood out to me, but I didn't have any huge complaints either.

Ethan G.

Yelp
Came to 801 Shaw for brunch. This place was a bit crowded and really loud, but representative of people having a good time! The music were all hits (Spice Girls was a great choice ) though sometimes it got too loud so I couldn't even here the others at my table. I got the breakfast tacos with the hashbrowns which was okay. The hashbrowns were seasoned really well but the choice to put quinoa was... interesting but not really for me. The breakfast tacos I wish had more of an egg flavor than avocado and chorizo flavor, as well as more flavoring, but it was nice and light. A cute place in Shaw!

Al A.

Yelp
Nice brunch. 3rd floor has a patio bar and the breeze is amazing. Food was great also.

Priscilla W.

Yelp
The espresso martini is worth the visit alone! The crab benedict is ok. I had a few shells in mine but overall its a decent menu item. Unfortunately you can't do bottomless mimosas on the rooftop, but that was the only open seating available upon our arrival.

Kyle L.

Yelp
801 is a hidden gem in DC. I was super impressed by their spill on brunch and had a great first time. My friend and I ordered their breakfast tacos, avocado toast, and chocolate cake. Everything was so good, and the food came out fast! It's a little loud, and it was definitely catered towards a younger crowd. Their dinner menu also looks great, so I look forward to going back!

Ashley H.

Yelp
Bottomless brunch! They have $20 bottomless build your own mimosas that includes grapefruit, strawberry, orange and pear juice (all of which were really good). They have a 2 hour limit that starts when you are seated. We ordered the french toast, breakfast burger, and the breakfast tacos. The burger came with a fried egg and was super satisfying, as well as the french toast. They have a really nice outdoor patio that is able to accommodate big parties (they also have a rooftop area too). A really good value for bottomless drinks and a filling meal (~$45 in total including tax and tip), would recommend stopping by!

Jasmine H.

Yelp
If you're looking for decently priced brunch with bottomless mimosas, this is a perfect option. There's 3 floors here with the top floor being the rooftop. Our table ordered the brisket hash, steak & eggs and eggs Chesapeake. The eggs Chesapeake was good & the crab cake was mostly crab, not a lot of filler which was a plus! The steak & eggs surprisingly lacked flavor without the chimichurri but once you add it, it was decent. We didn't get bottomless mimosas but I did order a singular mimosa which was a good size with a pretty reasonable OJ/champagne ratio.

Monica G.

Yelp
I recently went back for a celebration. We made brunch reservation for a party of 15 and this time we ate upstairs, the server was great made sure we had endless refill on our mimosas and drinks. Their unlimited mimosas are really unlimited by bringing out bottles not pitchers. The atmosphere was great as usual this was my second time. I would definitely recommend checking this spot out for brunch especially. After we sat and ate during the brunch time we went outside to the rooftop where it's music a bar and again great atmosphere and nice scenery of the city.

Kell M.

Yelp
Came for the bottomless brunch which I have to say the champagne bottles at the table and various juices make this the BEST bottomless drinks I've had in the area. The food is good, not great but still good. The eggs I have to say everyone agreed were cooked perfectly. The hash brown was different but I didn't love it. Overall though, it's a must visit for the drinks alone!

Chukwudi O.

Yelp
We came to 801 on Easter Sunday to grab some brunch and the place was delightful! We sat at the rooftop bar/lounge area which had a bit of a beach ambiance. The service was fast and attentive, and the food came out quickly. As for the food, everything that came out was delicious! The steak and eggs, the French toast, the drinks! It was all a treat, I and my party really enjoyed the meal!

Pam C.

Yelp
This place is bomb!!! Food is amazing & bottomless mimosas are delicious. For me, a quality bottomless restaurant must NOT serve premixed mimosas. So having the variety of juices along with the Gran Valor champagne bottle, complete does it for me. I rave about this place to all my friends cause it never disappoints! Just a QUICK FYI- during college/school season they get lots of college students and they tend to ask for IDs at the door. Sometimes that line can get a little long but rest assure your reservation won't be cancelled and just try to remember that tasty food and mimosas await you. Also because you got a young crowd surrounding you, expect to feel a bit like at a dorm party, loud music, a here and there birthday shots celebration/clapping etc. If this is not the experience for you, try going in the summer or winter. The crowd is more mature during that time. Above all, just make sure you come to this place, like I said, you won't be disappointed!!!

Romy G.

Yelp
So fun for brunch! Jimmy the bartender on the roof and Dago our waiter were great! Came for a birthday and It was great party vibes all around. Wasn't too impressed with what I ordered only because I think they used powdered eggs for the breakfast tacos. But I loved the bottomless mimosa deal and the chocolate cake we got for the birthday was rich and amazing. Based on ambiance alone I would come back here and try another menu item.

Cherise N.

Yelp
Y'all know if it's brunch, I'ma have it! And of course this spot was sitting in my IG collections, so when I pulled up to the DMV area, I needed to go! I made a reservation the night before for Sunday. Normally I booked more in advance but this was a late night we should get brunch in the morning situation lol Parking was a little tricky but it's free on Sundays, so when you see a spot park. We arrived and the first floor was basically empty. I kinda wanted to sit on the second floor but my laziness kicked in. We were greeted and sat quickly (like I said no one was there). I originally came here to endings in the huge Moscow mule, but I didn't see it on the brunch menu and before I asked that bottomless mimosa caught my eyes (if it's bottomless I'ma have it too lol)! I ordered the 8th Street Breakfast Sandwich with bacon and substituted my fruit for the hash. And for the mimosas I tried the strawberry and peach juices ($20/person). The breakfast sandwich was exquisite and they didn't overdo it with the pesto, just the right amount. I did find the bottom of the mimosas (judge yourself), but I opted to not get another bottle because we had errands to run after and yeah you adulting is all about balance. I would definitely come here again, especially for brunch and to see what the second floor looks like.

Melissa M.

Yelp
You definitely need reservations for brunch! We went yesterday and we're pleasantly surprised by all the food options! We all did the bottomless mimosas and the variety of juices were nice and the bottles kept coming over our 2 hour brunch. The brisket hash was amazing. Very flavorful with plenty of food. The champion breakfast was also very good as were the breakfast tacos. We were very impressed by everything. They were very busy and it was quite loud but we enjoyed ourselves.

Alesia S.

Yelp
Walked in as a party of one and there was bar seating available on the second floor. Greeted and was served by Alex, who was great. He was engaging, especially with me being a solo diner. Ordered the brunch burger, you could definitely taste that it was wagyu. Everything tasted that quality food, down to the fries. Loved that the mimosas were bottomless. Was provided with 4 juices to create your own mimosa (peach, strawberry, orange, grapefruit). Randomly decided to visit based off a google recommendation but definitely will be returning and sharing the recommendation with friends.

Yelp
Made reservations to have drinks and dinner before a concert at the 9:30 Club, the menu looked great and the prices were far more reasonable, so it looked like a win win when we clicked to confirm the date and time! Well a win WIN it was! Arrived early for our reservation and we were greeted and sat immediately! Presented with happy hour and restaurant week menu. The happy hour menu had a great assortment of food and drinks. The grapefruit mezcal crush I ordered was delicious and beef Waygu sliders were cooked perfectly! My friend enjoyed the house white and the shaved brussel chips! The portions were a nice size for the price and did I mention the sliders came with fries that were hot and amazingly crispy! Since we had a late lunch, we opted to share the beef fajitas. I'm so glad we made the choice to share because they are huge! Priced at $18 it was a delicious value on this diverse menu! Hot and sizzling..perfectly cooked steak and vibrant veggies adorned the skillet, the tortillas were hot and fresh! Service was spot on! Friendly and allows you to dine at your own pace. Once of the best meals/experience that I have had in awhile! We will go back!!

Yelp
I was walking down the street and stumbled across 801 and decided to stop in and have a drink. They have 3 levels with different music playing on each. The rooftop was pretty packed so we decided to stay at the second level bar. We ordered drinks and sat and talked and watched games on the tv. The bar staff were really nice. They started cleaning up the bar as we were finishing up and we saw a small roach run across the bar.

Yelp
If you need a spot at the last minute for a large group of people (10-15) this is the spot for you. The food and drinks are very affordable for DC and for the most part, it is very good. The drinks are strong and the portion size of the food is amazing for the prize. Items I've tried recently are the spinach dip, calamari, steak frites, and fish tacos. I would recommend all of the above. My friends endorsed the jambalaya pasta, lobster roll, and lobster scampi. The service is also pretty good overall.

Yelp
I am extremely disappointed with this establishment. Our organization had been planning a significant event for Black Pride next weekend, and we initially discussed and confirmed the details with them on April 12th. We had over 250 RSVPs and a substantial waitlist, indicating the importance and scale of our event. Shockingly, we were informed just yesterday that the venue had decided to give our reserved spot to another group of only 40 people. This decision appears not only homophobic but also potentially racist, given the nature and purpose of our event. The last-minute cancellation has left us devastated, as we now have to scramble to find another venue on short notice. Such discriminatory practices are unacceptable, and I strongly advise others to consider these actions before supporting this business.

Yelp
Steak and eggs with chimichurri, and good coffee. Cures what ails ya. Nothing fancy, the steak came out more medium than medium rare, but it was tender, juicy, and that chimichurri was no joke. Also, brunch and drinks in DC with a friend, coming out to $66 after tip and tax? Get outta here. I can barely find that in Philly anymore. Plus, I got to watch the Eagles beat on the Giants, which I wasn't expecting to be able to do outside of Philly last weekend. Everyone kinda looked at me funny when I went "HOLY SHIT" after a 4th and 7 Jalen Hurts deep pass into double coverage to DeVonta Smith for the TD. I apologized to everyone for my outburst. Then explained I was from Philly. Then thought about it. "You know what, I'm not sorry," and flipped them the bird and had some friendly jabber jawing back and forth because none of them like the Giants either. 801's upstairs bar runs a good service. All the tables were booked up for brunch but the bar was open and honestly, that's my vibe anyway. If you were up til 4am salsa dancing (guilty), 801 has got you covered.

Yelp
I came here for for brunch on a Sunday with friends and it was a good vibe. Music was playing and the service was great. I had the steak and eggs and added an order of hash browns. I'm not a fan of the had browns because it had quinoa and some type of greens in it. All in all I enjoyed my visit.

Yelp
I've been here twice for brunch and everything - service, food, ambiance - is totally fine. I recently had the brisket hash and thought the hash itself was pretty good, although the eggs and toast left a little something to be desired. The location is great, so that's definitely a plus.

Yelp
This was a very cute lil spot with a great variety of seating options. Indoor, outside, rooftop and three floors. The vibe was really cool, the staff was great and the food/drinks were good. We chose to eat at the rooftop bar, which wasn't the spiffiest looking. There were some rusty looking parts and it could use a good wipe down & fresh paint. But evidently that didn't stop me from enjoying myself (ijs, in case someone is looking for a different experience). I had the breakfast tacos (no meat) which were ok, i should've asked to add shrimp or chicken for added flavor, but they weren't bad. I actually enjoyed side of hash browns more, they were perfect! My daughter had the eggs chesapeake which were very tasty and my niece had the Brisket Hash, which looked good and she enjoyed.

Yelp
Quiet happy hour on a Wednesday evening. Only top level of the bar was open, both the weather was nice and wait staff.

Yelp
overpriced steakhouse but hopefully they get better after management and employees get better within the next few years.

Yelp
I celebrated my annual camouflage birthday brunch at the 801 Bar, December 2021. We were on time for our reservation, therefore we were seated immediately. I love sitting on the second floor by the fireplace! It's always intimate and cozy. We ordered the bottomless mimosas with the peach & strawberry purée being my absolute favorite! The waiter brought a bottle and once he realized I was a professional champagne drinker, he brought two! I threw my daughter's bday brunch there in May, so I knew what was delicious on the menu. Therefore I shared that the Bailey's French toast with berries and the Eggs Chesapeake served well-done were my two favorite brunch items. Two of my girls ordered the popcorn chicken & breakfast tacos, which they stated were a little dry. However, the rest of us were quite pleased with the veggie omelet, steak tips, kale Caesar salad, Bailey's french toast, & The Breakfast of Champions. Everything was fresh to order, well seasoned and the portion sizes exceeded their expectations. Our server was attentive and provided us with great service. He even took our picture in front of the fireplace! My friends already express an interest in going back for brunch real soon!
