"Opened in 1993, 888 Seafood seats up to 800 people and is one of the last Cantonese restaurants of its size to weather the pandemic. While many dim sum restaurants have switched from pushcarts to paper menus in recent years, you’ll still find aunties making their rounds at 888 Seafood. The restaurant has an online ordering system and offers vacuum-sealed dim sum to-go." - Kristie Hang

"A brazen thief snuck into the restaurant over the weekend and stole a heart-shaped box containing up to $20,000 worth of cash from a wedding banquet. The crime took place at the beginning of the reception, and the suspect is still at large. Surveillance footage shows the suspect entering, lingering for a few moments, and then grabbing the box of money before quickly running out. Guests chased after the suspect but were unable to retrieve the box." - Mona Holmes

This is our go to restaurant to get our fix. They serve this cold cilantro, onion and soy sauce chicken that we can’t find in the Torrance So Bay Area. The Peking duck was also very good. Dessert was ground taro, chestnut and lotus seeds in a clear sweet syrup. Just a FYI, This restaurant is always booked for wedding banquets on Saturdays. Sundays are better if you don’t like the celebration and music from the main event.

Great dim sum. Food brought out by push cart but is order by menu. Large venue with big TV screens and dance floor. There is ample parking. We got lucky and were there when they did a Lunar New Year celebration.

Instead of picking up the dishes from moving carts, you order from the menu. It gave the impression that dishes were made upon order so would be more fresh. Not really unfortunately: the bbq pork pastry was luke warm, so was the radish cake. The only item that impressed us is the black lava bun, as you can see from the video. Two items never arrived even after we finished all the food, so we ended up cancelling. The restaurant is spacious and comfortable.

I don’t like their steamed meat, like chicken feet (tastes strange), short-rib (rice noodle roll below), spareribs (too fat). But I think the chiu chow dumplings, bean curd and beef offal are ok. Came too early and they don’t have pig blood curd and marinated tofu yet. Today is the first day of summer time so I didn’t wait at their opening time. Service is pretty good though. About 60 dollars for 7 dishes.

We were invited to an event inside the restaurant, the parking lot fills up quickly because it is poorly organized, the staff hardly speaks English, the food is average, the prices are somewhat high, the atmosphere is good, fun, and very safe since they have security guards at the entrance and in the lobby (we loved that). We will consider this place for one of our future events.

Google
Food is pretty tasty, and I am not thirsty after completing my meal. Prices are on par with neighboring restaurants. Yes, I will come back for more. Friday afternoon is not busy at all.

Good parking and nice interior. Dim sum was okay. Was not impressed by the taste. Food wasn’t particularly bad, but not the best by any means. Decent selection on the menu, though.

Google
There is plenty of parking. The hall is just amazing, large LED screens all over. 500 people can easily sit and eat. The food is delicious and portions are large.

Yelp
Ambience: traditional Cantonese cuisine with large tables and spaces. We came here before an event. The restaurant has a section blocked for a baby shower event so the music and host can be pretty noisy, annoying or fun at times depends on how you feel about it. My wife and I enjoye it. Love all dishes we ordered today! None of them were too salty like many of the Cantonese dishes are. I'll ranked ordered them here: 1, deep fried shrimp spring roll: crispy outside and freshly shrimp inside, yummy! 2, Egg tofu: soft inside and crispy outside. Gotta serve it hot! 3, pork dumpling: my usual favorite. 4, Turnip beef tripes 5, sparerib with black bean sauce 6, marinated tofu 7, steamed chicken feet 8, beef tripe with ginger & onions: 9, shrimp dumplings Server: This is a fairly busy restaurant. Some of them were quite, "busy" and inattentive as usual. Some were good and responsive.

Yelp
Our group of 15 had dinner on a Friday night here and reserved a private room. The Main dining room was pretty empty at 6:30pm. There was a birthday party in a room near ours and they were singing karaoke so it was not quiet in our private room. The room was clean and spacious. They set us up on 2 round tables. Our first 2 dishes came out together. The bacon wrapped scallops were actually pretty good and the shrimp dish was served with Crispy green beans. The suckling pig did not have crispy skin so we were a bit disappointed. The abalone dish and wintermelon soup were tasty and prepared well. The fried chicken was stuffed with fish paste and it was different. I would have preferred a sauce with our lobster with green onion. The sea bass steak was pretty thinly sliced and didn't taste fresh. Although the fried rice was good. For dessert we were served a taro soup with dates and lotus but I forgot to take a picture. I really enjoyed the dessert because it was different and not too sweet. Our service was good, but the restaurant wasn't too busy so they came around often to refill our tea pot and clear plates. The food was average for the most part while service was not bad. We will maybe try their lunch and/or dim sum.

Yelp
Came with a part of four and ordered ten dishes for dimsum. Saturday noon time and it wasn't as crowded but got pretty crowded around 1pm. Parking was a nightmare, took a few circles around to find a spot. Pretty decent dimsum choices, we ordered our usual shui mai, chicken feet, pork spareribs, har gow, rice noodle shrimp, and fried shrimp balls with sweet and sour sauce. The sauce was a bit runny but I like it and used it on almost everything I ate! For the chicken feet, they had two different types and we ordered the one with three brown sauce. Not bad since it was crowded so I was already expected a slow service. No one came to refill the tea pot. My parents ordered congee which they accidentally put down as crab congee (38$ family portion). So they had to flag a server to help make the change once we saw the extra charge on the receipt (glad it was showing the price!). So they asked to order the other congee and the server corrected everything pretty quickly. Unfortunately, the congee took the longest to get to the table. Which is understandable but my parents were still critical about it. Bathrooms were pretty clean, but the paper towels machine in the women's side broke...no unisex restroom. They had a stage with large screens showing tropical fish and tv shows. Pretty cool. They also had a fish tank near the front desk, it had three fishes and my toddler (and other kids) enjoyed watching them. But we did have to stand around other people's table which I felt bad about. Total we paid 78$. I might not come back unfortunately due to how far it is from home and parking was awful.

Yelp
My family and I love coming to this restaurant. In the mornings, they serve dim sum and for dinner, it's regular menu. Of everything I got there, the Seabass and lobsters are my favorites. The Seabass dish was huge. Service is good and the place is pretty big. Lots of weddings and banquets here. Check out for photos for the dishes I received.

Yelp
I had my wedding reception at 888 Seafood Restaurant on 3/16/24 and had over 300 guests attend. The 10 course Chinese banquet was a huge success, and each dish was delicious and filling. The restaurant staff accommodated all of our vendors and worked extremely well as a team. They have a friendly and excellent manager named John who is able to help in any way he can. Another staff member named Tony helped us connect our slideshow on our laptop to be played on the big screen projectors. All in all, a perfect experience at the best Chinese restaurant!

Luna L.

Yelp
servers are only nice if you are chinese. very generic interior for dim sum places. most items were mid. overall liked the egg tart and custard buns best. things we would not order again: congee (had a weird taste), hargow (strong fishy taste), barbecue pork rice rolls (not flavorful)

Laura C.

Yelp
Excellent ambiance if you go in before 10:30am Mayhem after that during holidays. Amazing how the servers kept up! And the kitchen must be so organized!! Much respect to all them . It takes a good operation manager and disciplined employees to keep this place going for decades consistently serving great food with reasonable prices. Attended many weddings here as well . Great great place and people working here all all deserved kudos!

Benson K.

Yelp
I came here for dinner with some colleagues, and we had a 10 course dinner. The 10 course came with complimentary tea as well as 2 L of pepsi and 2 L of 7-up. To be honest, I do not remember all the courses, it was quite a busy night and I forgot to take photos. I remember the starter course being crispy pork and jellyfish. The crispy pork was just a bit too crispy for me. The pork was tasty though. The soup was a crab soup, I could taste small shells inside the crab which was ok. I prefer not to have that crunchy flavor in the soup though. The lobster was amazing, very well seasoned, and full of flavor. The sea bass was also super tasty. The abalone was cooked well and did not have that fishy flavor I sometimes associate with abalone. I also enjoyed the dessert which was tongyuan with black sesame inside, that was amazing. Overall it was a solid dinner and I would come back for dim sum in the future.

Yelp
The waiters here are so f*ing rude!!!!!! We left a 18% tip and the waiter (skinny man with glasses and buck teeth) came over to complain that it was not enough!!! He said that they depend on these tips to live!!! Hahahahhahahah. Then I decided to write this review to advocate for them - owners please give your workers a raise!!!! We told him we already signed and it and he demanded that we change it! Never come to this place unless you are willing to leave a 50% tip!

Angel B.

Yelp
Great food and very affordable, the place was really nice as well. My classmate told me they rent out the restaurant for weddings which makes sense for the large tv screens and fancy chandeliers. Will def recommend for dim sum.

Mary Ann C.

Yelp
Had a great time/experience here. Very large Chinese dining. Staff was super quick and prompt. Good always came out freshly prepared. Parking is shared with other businesses in the plaza.

Yelp
A pretty good Chinese restaurant. The inside looks very nice and they have a this huge wall with screens where they displayed the NBA one night i was there and i appreciated that. The parking in my experience has mostly been good though i've heard it can be hard to find parking at times The service we get here is generally good. The servers are usually friendly enough but i never have the highest expectations at some different types of restaurants. I've just grown up going to different Chinese restaurants so i kinda get how it is. The food here is pretty good not the best i've had but i'd still say its pretty good. I've ordered the lobster noodles, beef on top of crispy rice noodle, pekking duck, cripsy pan fried noodles, all of which i would order again. The only thing though that caught me by surprise though, which i didn't used to be sensitive to was they had a whole pig in a shopping cart in their kitchen when i walked passed by, i knew my sister was also going to be taken aback when she saw it which she was. It was an interesting kinda funny surprise.

Yelp
Delicious food no matter what you order! This place is great for big family occasions, as you'll get to eat an amazing variety of dishes. The staff are friendly and very proactive. I always love coming here with my grandmother and her friends for a big lunch or dinner

Danny N.

Yelp
This is one of my wife and I's favorite place for dim sum. I like how we can just order whatever is on the dim sum paper menu and not have to wait for the carts. The food comes out fast and delicious. My favorite is the hargow because the skin is very thin and doesn't break apart. The chicken feet is delicious here too. Lots of parking in the area! Go here for delicious dim sum!

Yelp
Traditional Chinese seafood restaurant: Large portions and many tables available. Good number of staff members to serve your needs. Prices are reasonable. Recommend: seafood pan fried noodles- huge portion! Fried tofu with mushrooms. Not recommended: lobster Yee mien noodles- tiny lobster and with pepper sauce Overall- recommended.

Yelp
What's up: Meeting up with friends for some dim sum yum! It's been a long, long time since I came here so it was a nice opportunity to eat here again. Parking: If you come early in the morning, there's plenty of parking spots. It gets busier later and you'll see cars parked along the side waiting for people to leave. It's also hard to see the parking lines in some areas, so be careful where you park. Environment: Check in up front and you'll be led to a table. The interior is large and well lit with two walls on opposite ends being the TVs. Place your order on the dim sum sheet and hand it off to a staff member when you're ready. They'll bring out the food in no time. Since we had a large group, we ordered a lot and instead of spacing things out, all the dishes came at once! There was a lot of stacking and organizing going on to get the food on the table. Our tea also got lost when they went to refill it and we had to ask a staff member to bring it back. Restrooms are located on the side, towards the middle of the room; it's clearly labeled with a sign. What was ordered: - Tons and tons of dim sum. They were all pretty good, so no complaints here. Yay/Nay/Meh: Yay. Food was good, staff members were friendly enough. As the place got busy, it got louder and the staff became a bit scarce, which is understandable. Credit cards are accepted.

Yelp
Ever since pandemic hit in 2020, it's been best to just order to go if you do choose to eat here. Otherwise, exploring other dim sum restaurants is just as good of a bet. My family just happens to eat here ever since back then when this place was popping and super good. Still going to keep going here only for the convenience and accessibility. Wish service was better or more responsive like they once were.

Sheila W.

Yelp
Back at this delicious restaurant. I had to write another review because todays dish was just out of this world. We got the Alaskan King Crab (seasonal) cooked three ways - steam, deep fried with salted egg and pumpkin, and steam eggs. The crab was so fresh and cooked to perfection. They have limited quantities, so if you like crab, don't wait. Large parking lot. Oh but the restrooms really need some remodeling.

Valerie U.

Yelp
Popped in on a weekday afternoon and got seated right away. Service was surprisingly good. We checked off our order on a paper menu, and it was sent straight to the kitchen. I guess dim sum carts are a thing of the past? It's the third place I've been to recently without them. Oddly our dessert buns were the first to arrive so by the time we got to enjoy them, they were practically cold. But other than that, all of the food came in a timely manner. Some came out more hot than others, but this place is cheap, so I can't complain. Even though the quality was questionable, I thought everything was good for what it was. The best thing was the egg yolk bun. It was still runny, soft, and delicious despite it being cold. Overall, 888 is not a bad place to chat and enjoy some dim sum. I'd rate this place a 3.5, but rounded it up to 4 for the service. They ran out of the truffle siu mai when I came, so I just might have to go back to try that!

Thomas T.

Yelp
Came in around 11am on 3/13/24. Service was terrible. No one stopped by to ask what tea we wanted. Waited a while but no one came to take our order sheet. Even made eye contact to a waiter as we were getting up but the waiter just ignored us. Sucks because I come here from time to time but it's going downhill.

Imran K.

Yelp
This was a political gathering of elected officials at the 888 resturant. The resturant has plenty of parking and the service here is excellent. The Food was well cooked, fresh and delecious. The shrimp dish is the best. Food platters are srved on each table of ten people. The platters keep comming. The final platter is a swwet dish. The Dinner begins with soup. The server puts soup for every person in a cup. All teh dishes were excellent and we loved the food.

Darren L.

Yelp
Took my father out to have some dim sum. We decided to go to Monterey Palace when we passed by 888. My Dad saw 888 and said "let's go here", so I turned around, parked and we went in. We immediately were seated and asked which type of tea. We ordered from a menu and selected five dishes. The tea came out fast as we were ordering, but it seemed like a while for anyone to come by to pick up our order. After 10-15 minutes, I had to flag a staff member down to take our menu order. Once our order was placed, our food was served in an orderly fashion. Food: Chui Chow Pork and Peanut Dumpling Spareribs with Black Bean Sauce Egg Tofu with Shrimp Paste in Brown Sauce Steamed Rice Noodles with Bitter Melon and Shredded Chicken Pan Fried Pork Sesame Bun The food was average as compared to other dim sim restaurants. The buns were a bit dry and had very little filling. Egg Tofu was flavorful as well as the dumplings. The good part of this meal is that there was no wait at 10:30am.

Jackie L.

Yelp
Seriously the BEST Chinese Seafood restaurant in SCAL! That's saying something because I don't like Chinese food because I'm Chinese and food at home is always better. My MIL always tip the waiters with red envelopes so we always get the BEST service. Well except on Chinese New Year. There's no help for anyone who eats on CNY even with a 5pm reservation. The Peking duck is to die for

Jacqueline N.

Yelp
Good place for dimsum. The restaurant is very large and can fit lots of people. I've never had to wait for a table here. Food: 4/5 Lots of options and variety of dimsum. They don't have rolling carts anymore, so you order off the menu, but they bring out the food on the cart so its still fun atmosphere. Dimsum is good. Price: 5/5 cheap and fair Service: 3/5 typical of a dimsum restaurant. You'll have to flag em down if you need anything.

Richard C.

Yelp
Every time my family wants to eat dim sum, we usually go here. The restaurant is really large so there are plenty of tables and there isn't typically too much of a wait. Each item starts at around $5 and goes up depending on the tier, so be prepared to spend quite a bit of money. This dim sum place doesn't push around carts, you get a piece of paper in the beginning and you order how much you want of each item. The food comes out in a pretty fast manner. As with every dim sum, you are going to be charged for their tea so make sure to pick a tea you like. The service is pretty solid, you they are fast to refill your tea pot when you put the lid up. The food is always really tasty. They got all the classic dim sum dishes down. My favorites are their runny egg yolk buns and chicken feet. The buns are all tasty and the siu mai is also a family favorite. I definitely recommend checking this place out if you want dim sum.

Leslie L.

Yelp
Place is not as great as I remembered but it is still good. Morning is dim sum and evening is the full on Chinese 10 Course meal. Service is great for our private room of 6 tables. They are quick and food is hot.

Linh Y.

Yelp
More than one and a half month ago, I had placed a huge dim sum order for lunch. I called the night before and the manager on duty was gracious to take my order. Otherwise, I would have had to call at 9:00 AM the morning of. Prices went up again... this isn't new nowadays. Everything have gone up. I noticed some of the baked (e.g. egg tarts, BBQ pork bun), steamed (e.g. chicken bun), and pan fried (e.g. taro/turnip cake) dim sum have shrunk in size though. I thought I would have to cut the dim sum in half for sharing, but I ended up not having to do that... it was already small enough... almost 2 bite size worth LOL. We're paying more, but getting less??? Hmmm, you would think it's the other way around. At least the shrimp har gow, pork siu mai, and chicken feet are still in decent size. I arrived on time the morning of pick up, but the order was not ready yet so I had to wait a little bit. The dim sum was nicely packaged. All the dim sum were very good except for the size on some of them. Flavors were on point. My favorite are the shrimp har gow, chicken feet, shrimp rice noodle rolls, and pineapple custard filled bun. This was my first time ordering the stuffed tofu with shrimp paste and chicken bun... loved the former, but didn't get a chance to try the latter... will try again next time. Depending on how many orders of each dim sum, they will either put them in the large or small plastic trays. Also if you want the Chinese mustard sauce or hot chili sauce or soy sauce, you'll have to ask for them. The staff and service was okay. If you're going to have a huge or small order, make sure you check your order before leaving. They almost left out one of my items. Luckily, I caught it before I left. 888 probably has one of the best dim sum IMHO. I have yet to try Seafood Harbor Restaurant, but I hear their dum sum are very good... will have to check them out in the near future. I am a foodie adventurer at large LOL... will seek out the best of the best dim sum. Happy 888'ing!

Caroline D.

Yelp
I write this as a white girl happily married into a Chinese family, and this is my advice. If a Chinese restaurant has 3 stars it's gonna be fire! If it has 5 stars it's Chinese with western leanings. If it has 1 star it's a Chinese buffet in kansas that will have French fries. 888 seafood is amazingly good food. Make sure you get some crab or lobster. The service is curt, fast and they have zero interest in making small talk. The dishes come out fast, hot and delicious. Is the carpet a bizarre pattern? Yes. Are the chairs plastic and the tables loaded with lazy Susan's... also yes. This is the traditional American Asian we all know and love. If you aren't part of an Asian family or community, places like this can look and feel intimidating BUT I promise you they want to share their food and culture with you. You just gotta throw caution to the wind and brave the language barrier.

Chester B.

Yelp
Haven't been here for many years so I had to try it again. This used to be one of the best dim sum places in the 626. Sad to say, there are many other better restaurants for dim sum close by. Many of the dishes lacked on flavor and ingredients used looked cheap. On top of that the price seemed way higher than it should have been. Most likely won't come back.

Anne L.

Yelp
I don't know how this restaurant can survive with this kind of service. Giving customers the run around. I asked one of the waiters where to order dim sum to go and he said with the bbq station. I found the form, filled it out, and went to hand it to the staff for her to tell me that it's only her here and she can't fill my order. For me to go to the other side to get my order taken. I went over the other side and tried to hand the lady behind the register my form. She told me she didn't need the form and to just tell her my order. In the middle of me telling her my order, I realize they only had bbq baked bun and not baked bbq pork bun and was thinking out loud. The cashier was being impatient and repeated that she doesn't need the form and to just tell her my order. I told her I know and was about to go on and she walked away. She went to check on something on the wall and then slowly walked back and asked me again what I want to order. Honestly, if I wasn't in a time crunch and conveinent location, I wouldn't have gone here. It's not like they have the best dim sum.

Gary C.

Yelp
Went there for dim sum on a Friday. I haven't been here since years before the pandemic. The food was pretty good! The variety was quite extensive. This restaurant is one of the OG Chinese banquet style dim sum places. We ordered chicken feet, siu mai, har gow, bean curd skin rolls, egg yolk buns, & bbq pork buns. I liked all of it. Very traditional flavors with quality ingredients. At a slightly lower price point than some at around $6 for each, it beats other places that charge over $6.50. The oolong tea was also pretty decent compared to some of those places. I'm glad I revisited today. It's going to be one my go-to. Will also try out dinner here in the summer when family friends visit.

Mary H.

Yelp
We came here on Saturday at 11 am and this place was empty. Not a good sign. After we placed an order the food came out within 5 to 10 minutes. We ordered about 15 dishes. Everything was lukewarm and tasted bland. The portions were small and the prices were $1 or 2 per dish more compared to the other restaurants. The service was slow even though the waiter was standing around. After we had left, both my sister and I had stomach pains. Stay away from this overpriced, mediocre taste average service and possibly diarrhea ( if you are the unfortunate one).

Nina S.

Yelp
Came for weekend dim sum. The push carts have been replaced by checking off items on a sheet of paper that comes with select pictures. Pro: all food comes together, you're not waiting around for your favorites Con: food may become cold over time, and you may over order Service from the people bringing the food drastically differs from those who are always on the floors. The food is good, favorites are the egg yolk buns and the coconut bread (off the dessert menu), and the fried shrimp with mayonnaise. Overall a fine place to go if you're in the area.

Imelda R.

Yelp
Dimsum is good, tasty and above par compared to other dimsum places such as Capital Seafoid Restaurant in Rowland Heights. Service is a notch better than Capital Seafood In Roland Hts. Staff is service-oriented and well trained . Ambiance is spacious, noise is low-key and pleasant atmosphere. The only negative comment is their flooring - carpet needs to be replaced, as it's showing its' age. Maybe a faux wood floor or tiles will enhance the ambience and nice decor (with huge TV's) of this restaurants. Overall - a rating!

Ben P.

Yelp
Been here many times for wedding receptions. Love their 10 courses dinner extravaganza. Enjoyed every dishes. When not coming here for dinner, we enjoyed going here for their delicious dim sum. The place still looks decent and nice. Services can be a hit or miss. Sometimes if you are lucky, you get the right cart with your favorite dim sum dishes. Sometimes you wait forever for your favorite dishes that never came. Overall, we enjoyed eating here. The only negative here would be the parking. Not enough spaces since too many restaurants in this center. On weekend, you will definitely find yourself driving around trying to find a parking space. I recommend parking on the street if you are lucky.

Ed C.

Yelp
Unlike other dim sum restaurants, the first thing you will notice in this restaurant is no hot dim-sum-push-carts going around from one guest table to another. Instead, you will be asked to fill out what you want to eat on the menu. A little intimidating for those non-Chinese-speaking, new customers who are used to the push carts to come for them to select from the carts. Asides from this, the menu is very users' friendly with pictures. Some non-typical menu items without pictures may require further inquiry from your waiter or waitress who are pretty helpful (at least mine was). The food came very reasonably quick almost all at once. So, if you are very hungry, refrain from ordering all at once or some will get cold in the middle of your consumption. The ambient decor made the place very bright and inviting. As similar to other dim sum places, the noise level of this joint may go up pretty high from times to times. All food are cooked to perfection! For the custard egg tart (#53), it is very smooth, gelatinous, and the crust is baked very fluffy & crumbly. You have to go there & taste it for yourself. One thing I noticed, the waiters & waitresses are not quite attentive to their customers. Perhaps, the management might want to help them to make sure to care for such routine duties as refilling tea kettles and removing used plates in timely manner. Food price is very comparable to other similar establishments. There are enough parkings for almost everyone but no EV car chargers on its property. Overall, I believe they deserve a bit over 4.5 stars.

Yelp
Get here at by 10:45am on the weekend if you don't want to wait for a table for dim sum. Great dim sum place! Everything was fresh and steaming hot. The carts came by multiple times and ladies walk around with trays of items as well. The gai lan veggies are cooked right in front of you, the turnip cakes are fried on the cart, great variety with the steamed items, fried items are crispy, pork buns are soft, and the sweet tofu is silky. Of course, service sucks and it took forever to get our tea refilled. We also had to wave down a couple carts. Nothing out of the ordinary with Chinese restaurants. I'd come here for the food again. Parking lot.

Yelp
I haven't been to 888 in a while. Honestly, most of the reasons I go is because it's for a wedding! My best friend got married back in June and it was a very nice wedding! The seem to put in a little $$ to remodel and tidy up the place to make it more classy/ more modern than your typical Chinese Restaurant venue look. The service was great, staff, was very friendly and attentive. Food was also very delicious! Portions are huge as always!

Yelp
This review is more on the music revenue and service of the restaurant than the food which I am sure was ok, but as I come here to watch a concert and also one of the performer is my brother, the process was a bit chaotic. First of the dressing room, they didn't really have one, it was more of a cleaning closet or a room where you would have the bride to stay in for makeup and that's it, very small, the carpet was wet I am sure it was a water leakage somewhere since it was right next to kitchen. The outside floor also slippery not sure what kind of liquid though, but that will be hazard; no security escort for talents, people can just enter the dressing room and bother artists as they please, wow privacy much. Even when my brother was on stage, they jumped on and snapped pictures like crazy, super unorganized. The lack of security also created another problem because yes when I was sitting at the table with my group, a fight broke out at the next table, and yes what if one of them pulled out a weapon, no safety precautions at all, I can see why they got the average 3 stars out of 900 plus reviews, I would come back to try more food, but to book a concert here, probably not, this venue might fitted for a traditional Chinese wedding but will not hold an actual music event.

Yelp
Solid restaurant for dim sum but be prepared to wait. You have to wait to be seated and once seated, you will wait for your order. What I thought would be a quick dim sum lunch turned into a 2.5 hour meal. They don't have the hot carts rolling by the table and you order items from a menu and the plates are brought out individually. I'm not sure if they were short on staff today or if it was busier than a normal weekend..but there was quite a long gap in between our orders. I recommend the garlic lobster noodles, the shumai, har gow, and the fried smelt. Will be back to try more.

Yelp
Service was whatever. It took forever to bring our foods out. They forgot to bring out the chicken feet. When we advised the gal about it, she was like oh they probably bring it out soon. She didn't even apologized or anything and took off. Quality wasn't as great. Ordered the pineapple salted egg yolk buns and they brought out the pineapple custard. Most of the foods were either warm or kinda cold. No wonder the place seemed a bit dead and we were seated right away. On a Saturday at around 12pm, the line used to be super long.

Yelp
This place sucks cause it's order and wait. Wtf I want the carts to go around and convenience. Lots of parking though in the plaza Waited The food service takes so so long. It was annoying. Usually you go to dim sum for convenience too. It took us 15+ mins for us to get the food .

Yelp
Service and food quality going down the sewer...waitress complain less tip.... Sunday morning.... not even at full capacity, definitely no wait time... no one come to place tea order and couldn't waive down a waiter/busboy till 10+ minutes later. Everything we try to waive down a waiter...turns his head and walks away like he didn't see anything. But they all have a nice chat with their usual customer tables, giving service. Family at next table even cancelled their order and left because of the long wait. Lobby no waiting customers, but no one to pickup empty food plates/dimsum baskets. Fried food was oily, literally puddle of oil on bottom of the plate. Food was luke warm. Ordered 7 dimsum items took almost an hour for each plate to be brought to table, individually. We sat down roughly 1015ish...finish and paid to leave at 1300...not because we willingly sat that long, but whole time was waiting for food and tea to fill and serve. Since no service and bad experience... gave $2 tips... short hair waitress came back to table to complain I didn't give enough tips. I normally give full tips, they service, I appreciate it. TIPS (google definition): "A tip, or gratuity, is a small amount of money given voluntarily as a token of appreciation for a service rendered. We tip our servers as a way of thanking them for good service. We might also leave a very low tip, or no tip at all, as a signal that the service was substandard." Since service was "substandard"... why should I give full 15% tip?!

Yelp
I've been at 888 Seafood for decades. The old fashioned carts are gone unfortunately. The food here is ok, not high end yet I love coming here for nostalgic reasons.

Yelp
We've been coming here for many years to celebrate our sister's birthday. We recently came here (post Covid) and they stopped pushing the dim sum carts around. We just have to order from a menu. Food is still delicious but inflation has really hit this place. Each order is averaging to almost $5 +, which adds up quick. What used to cost is $100 is now $300+, for brunch. We love ordering the eggrolls, fried shrimp, shrimp noodle, porridge, siu mai and har gow. And egg tarts (my fave)! Place can get really busy which impacts the service and attention but not too bad. When you're with your friends, the time flies and the slow service doesn't feel so long.

Yelp
Dim sum is trash. Everything is made from frozen food. Nothing fresh. Had a craving for dim sum and was so disappointed

Yelp
Good food.... 1) Pork and duck barbecue, 2) crunchy duck skin and white bread with fish chips, 3) baked-fried whole pig leg

Yelp
Haven't dined in at 888 in a while and it seems this restaurant has gone through some upgrades to modernize the space. There are also three huge screens on the right hand side of the restaurant. Now you can enjoy watching sports while dining in for dimsum! The dimsum dishes ranges from $4.50 to $8 depending on the dish. Most of the typical/popular dishes fall between the $4.50 to $5 range. All food is ordered through an order sheet - the waitresses then roll the food over in a cart so you don't get the full cart experience but I prefer not having to flag down a person for a specific dish anyway. The chicken feet was one of the better ones I've tried as it was very flavorful. We were surprised to find out there was no wait on a Saturday morning around 10:30/11am and the restaurant was never fully packed. Definitely worth a visit for delicious dimsum!
