It was a little hole in the wall easy to miss type of place, and parking was a little tricky. The place was empty but it was a nice friendly clean atmosphere, our server was nice. My plus one in life ordered pork dumplings for appetizer, they were really tasty. For the main course she ordered the Pannang curry, at a spice level of mild, mild turned out to be a bit too hot, so take caution when ordering spicy food at this place. Over all she said it was really good, the bite she gave me affirmed that. I ordered the Pad Kra Paw, I ordered mine with no spice to it at all, San Diego still kind of spicy but very very tasty. The bill came to 49 dollars which is to be expected, overall it was a good dining experience, not sure but we will be back down this way again to eat here but it was worth it.

Very very solid Thai food ! A few vegetarian options I thought it was a little bit expensive for the amount of food, but it’s quite good The portion size is just right. I was quite hungry, thought the serving seemed small, but a few minutes after finishing I was just the right amount of full For the spice levels, if you use sriracha like ketchup, get Hot or Thai Hot. I got Hot panang curry and ended up adding 3 spoonfuls of chili flakes to get the desired burn The Thai green tea was extremely sweet, like none of us have ever had it that sweet before, too sweet, still pretty good though The texture of the tofu used in the curry is perfect I like the videos played on the tv, nature vlogs in Thailand and mukbangs

I have spent many months in Thailand. 9 Thai’s pad ka prao (basil stir fry) is the closest I have found to the streets of Bangkok. They served it with fresh Thai holy basil and ground pork, which I feel is difficult to find in the U.S. It was absolutely perfect. Khao soi (northern Thai curry noodle) — slightly easier to find in the U.S. — was also super delicious. Hoping to try their boat noodle soon. Service was great and friendly. Place was clean and comfortable. Whether you eat a lot of Thai food already or want to try something new, this place is legit and worth a visit! EDIT: the boat noodles also rock.

I love 9 Thai. This was one of the first restaurants I ate at when I moved to Denver several years ago, and I've never looked back. The food is always excellent. I particularly love ordering from the restaurant on their website platform. They email me discount codes regularly and I always try to be a patron when I can. Order from them instead of the delivery apps! You save money and they reward you. I haven't eaten in the store in forever, but I'm happy to see people eating inside again, instead of just takeout due to the Colfax construction project that never seems to end. I will always be a 9 Thai fan and patron, as long as I'm here. Eat local!!!

9 Thai consistently throughout all the years has great Thai flavors on East Colfax! Even with a recent order mishap on their website system that allowed ordering after they had closed for the day, they made things right when they were next open. 9 Thai is my go to spot for bursting flavors, accurate spice level, and filling dishes

First time visiting - food was very good. Smaller place but very clean and nice decor. Dude working was really busy with takeout orders but still provided very friendly service to the few of us eating inside. The pad Thai was excellent. I will definitely return!!!!

If you’re looking for a consistently good and authentic Thai food experience, look no further! 9 Thai always delivers. Not only do they have specialty dishes i haven’t seen at other restaurants (ie, their Kua Kai is amazing) but they so reliably excel at the classics. And they actually deliver too! Hope this gem of a Thai restaurant stays open forever.

My daughter and I always try a new place when we are traveling out of town. Today, we were 100 miles from home, and this is the place she chose. Parking right on Colfax about a block from Colorado Ave. The atmosphere was great! Newer tables and benches, clean, almost a rustic feel. The menu is digital and was appropriately sized for this type of cuisine. Many selections are classic Thai, and they have a few of their own twists in there too. You also get your own level of heat on each dish. She ordered the Mama Noodles and asked for them Hot. Our server warned us that this was different than American spice and to be careful. We thanked him and continued the order as Hot. I ordered the Pineapple Curry also Hot. We also ordered the Crab Cheese Wontons, Fried Chicken dumplings a Thai tea, and a soda. As they should the apps came out first the fried dumplings were hot and tasty! The wontons were in the frier for about 15 seconds to long but still delicious. Her noodles came out first this was like a Ramen dish on steroids, it was huge. Shrimp Chicken and Pork Squid and an egg ready to burst were the proteins she promptly popped her egg and dug in. The broth was rich and tasty the noodles were done just the way she liked them, and soon, there wasn't much left. She has learned she doesn't much care for squid. While she was inhaling the Mama Noodles my Pinaeapple Curry arrived I ordered mine with Chicken. It came out hot and beautiful. The broth was almost velvety with a lot of color developed there was carrots, the chicken tomatoes and tons of Pineapple. The broth was sweetened ever so slightly by the Pineapple and the heat I had requested was in full force... that can't stop eating it almost sweating kinda heat. This was the best Thai we have ever had! Thanks so much to our server and whoever was in the kitchen, making that magic happen!

Tried out this Thai place for takeout on a lazy Sunday and enjoyed the food! We got the street pad Thai, crab cheese wontons, and khao soi which I'd never had before. Everything was tasty and hot even after waiting for delivery. Also, when they say spicy they do mean it. Most places in Denver don't, so just be aware! We loved the spice. Will definitely be getting takeout from here again!

Stopped by to grab lunch - got drunken noodles and a Thai tea! Drunken noodles (3/5) - honestly for Denver this might be a 4/5, but comparing it to other drunken noodles I've had I would say that they taste good for what they are, but they are the incorrect flavor for drunken noodles. They're overly sweet and lack the umami and wok hei flavor for pad kee Mao. I also ordered it hot, and it was not spicy compared to Thai hot. I feel like what I got for hot is a mild or medium level spice. I got it with tofu and typically it's with the deep fried tofu, this tasted more like normal tofu pan fried. They were generous with the tofu pieces which I appreciated. Portions are good and prices are good! Noodles were a good consistency and although it was not a traditional drunken noodle flavor, the flavors were well developed. The Thai iced tea was good but could be a bit richer as it tasted watered down.

Everything from the presentation, the service, the atmosphere, to the complex flavors...all incredible. One of the best Khao Soi dishes we've had in Denver! We will definitely be back!

I've been here twice and really enjoyed it both times. I ordered the drunken noodles the first time and the street pad Thai the second time. The drunken noodles were good but the pad Thai was out of this world! So great I can't wait to go back. I love the ambiance and the service is quick. Definitely recommend!

The food was not that good as there was bad flavor. The bathroom is very odd and creepy. The environment was terrible the seats were hard to sit on. For a while we didn't have water and when we were ready to leave they ignored us even with us being the only ones in the restaurant For Thai food was very overpriced was about $47 for two people in dinner. The location is on the side of the road.

Stopped in for lunch. Pad Se Ew. Delicious. Everything super fresh. Spice level perfect. Ambiance pleasant and clean. Very much enjoyed.

Fantastic, reasonably priced, and always quick Thai food. They have solid pad Thai and a really kind staff. This has become one of our go to neighborhood spots.

This is my go to spot for Tom kha soup and pad see ew. Always love coming here because the service is good and the food is consistently great. I also love feeling like I am supporting a local spot, will always be back for more!

Not a good experience. Management is terrible. We had an issue with the order and immediately called - within minutes of placing the order online and the management would not adjust the order.

I ordered to-go from this place. Even though it's on a busy street - I was able to pull up pretty close and park along the street. I walked in and also got a soda from the cooler fridge behind the counter. The place is pretty small so I imagine they mostly do takeout. I ordered the Pad Thai (just plain) and was asked about heat level. My fiancé said he told them "low." He got the Basil Fried rice with the highest heat level. The food was ready when they told us (15 minutes). They guy who helped me was very nice and talkative. He let me know I was the first customer of the day. We got a ton of food for the one dish. My fiancé really enjoyed his fried rice - he at the whole thing. My pad thai was just okay. It was a little more dry than expected and it was way more spicier than expected. I can handle spice but I don't like when it turns my mouth numb and the taste takes over everything else. The price for the two dishes also seemed high seeing as though we didn't get protein in either.

I had the pork Tom yum noodle - she was worried I wouldn't like it because they are changing the flavor a little but I enjoyed it a lot. I'll have to try some other dishes as they have changed a lot since I've last been there.

I don't like writing bad reviews, but I feel it's important to share bad experiences, especially consistent bad experiences with a place rated 4 stars. I had bad experiences with this place 2 years ago. I did not write the review and decided to just avoid it. Until today. My husband ordered because it was close and didn't want to go too far away. We had the Panang chicken, fried tofu, and cream cheese pockets. All horrible. Watery tasteless curry, light on vegetables and protein, refried, tasteless tofu/dipping sauce, cream cheeseless pockets. Barely edible. Did I mention the brown rice out of a microwave bag? Ugh. What a waste of money. If you like this place, to each his own. But if your money is dear and you like Thai food, there are many other good options; I would suggest you try elsewhere.

I have been wanting to try this place for awhile. It is only a small 7-8 table restaurant. It was clean. When we went in the cashier/waitress was sitting in her stand. She told us to sit wherever we wanted. We were the only people there. We were brought small cups of water and a bottle of water. The menu is a QR code. The server took our order of fried rice and pad Thai. Brought it out and we never saw her again. I had to go up and get the check. Which I did not even get an itemized bill. She only ran my card. The food was ok. Nothing special. Did not taste medium. So, kind of bland. The service was not good. I will not be going back

Great neighborhood restaurant with authentic Thai- means that medium is HOT! They brought me a cup of Thai tea to help! So sweet! Good vegetable rolls and edamame and the best wait staff!

Awesome for Denver. Now...compared to Chicago or NYC, this is not 5 stars. But for Denver this place is great. I just grabbed lunch there - cute atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious food. Chicken larb and chicken curry were great!

the street pad Thai at 9 Thai exceeded all my expectations. As someone who prefers a pad Thai that's not drowning in sauce, this dish was an absolute gem. The balance of flavors was impeccable, making it the best pad Thai I've ever had. Every bite was a burst of deliciousness, and I can confidently say it's the best in Colorado a must-try for any Pad Thai enthusiast. The lovely ladies at this place are so kind and remember me every time I stop in for the street pad Thai. I work near this restaurant every Thursday and it's the best part of my week.

I am not sure why it's taken me this long to try 9 Thai but my loss. I went in for take out order and it's so cute and quaint in there I will definitely be back to eat in. I'm assuming it was the owner checked me out and he was multitasking big time and needs to give lessons to some other places, he was spot on! He reviewed my order to make sure what I ordered and was in bag was correct. SO greatly appreciated after going to other places only to get home and missing items. The ranges of hot were not that hot/spicy to me but sometimes taste buds are different on different days because my husbands mouth was on fire but he LOVED it all! We had about 4 entrees and a couple of appetizers. All of the items were certainly some of best Thai I've had. The chicken wings were the best we've had in Denver! We will definitely be back for more goodness!

Best Thai in the area, would recommend the Tom Kha and the pad Thai. If you like spice make sure to get at least a medium.

I have dined at this restaurant five or six times in the last 12 months. The first few times were delicious. I ordered Penang curry each time. The last two visits, over the past few months, have been marginal, at best. Both times the vegetables were either over cooked or undercooked and pretty much tasteless. The tofu was rubbery. And I don't think I will be dining there again.

I've ordered for pickup twice and dined in twice, trying different dishes. The food is just "fine", never actually bad, but they seem to lack focus in terms follow through on the little things. Examples: once I asked that my pad thai not be soooo sweet. No adjustment was made. Spice level never seems to be addressed. Today I asked for medium, when I got the food home it was spiceless. Also, no slice of lime to add some acidity to the noodles. Last order was similarly not spicy at all. Today I got pad woon sen. Noodle to veg&tofu ratio was not so good - though I guess the noodles are technically made from beans, so there's that. Still, I'd like a bit more veg and a bit less noodles than what I got. Sauce was very plain, I didn't really taste or smell any fish sauce. Portion was overall generous but we're now paying $15 for a single serving take out order from most places, and due to that I'd like them to take some more care getting things right.

I made reservations for Friday night, but when we got there, it wasn't busy at all so I don't think you need reservations. The inside decor was ok. The place and the bathrooms are clean. We ordered the edamame and fried tofu for starters. Both are good, but nothing special. Then we ordered chicken pad see ew, beef fried rice, and chicken Panang Curry. We ordered all three mild, but it was still a little spicier than what I thought. My favorite was a pad see ew, which had wide pan noodles but thinly sliced which I liked. The flavors were good. Prices weren't bad. Service was great as the waiter was fast, efficient and attentive.

I try not to leave less than 5 star reviews because I take the stance of "maybe they had a bad day". In this case I gave them a 4 star review because of the great service and ambiance of the place. I ordered Pad Thai, and it was less than stellar. I am a bit of a Pad Thai snob, so maybe the chef was off. I thought about trying the street pad Thai but wanted the original version 1st. I would still come back and try it again. The egg rolls and Thai Iced tea were amazing!

First time there. Bad taste boat noodle for lunch. Please remove Boat Noodle from the menu because you don't know how to make a Thai Boat Noodle. Don't recommend this restaurant!

I've been driving past this place for nine months now and I never noticed it. The front of the restaurant is so teeny but inside it's really cute and welcoming. I'm not a Pad Thai person, but I got the stirfry veggies with chicken and it was excellent. Next week I'll try the Tom Yum. Can't wait.

Wow. This was the best Thai food I've ever had. The ingredients are so fresh, the flavor profile was really interesting and complex, spice level was exactly as ordered - and even though I got Mild it there was a lot going on. (This was my first visit and I wanted to get an idea of their baseline spice level for future visits.) I got this for Takeout/Pickup and was pleasantly surprised by the decor/ambience - it's a gorgeous little place. Might dine-in next time (and there definitely will be a next time).

We started off with the Tom Yum and that was delicious! We then got the Green Curry and the Pannang Curry. As another reviewer mentioned, this location makes their curries overly sweet!!! I especially didn't like the Pannang curry and told my server and they offered to make it better after seeing that I didn't touch it for over 30 minutes. Obviously at that point, I just ate what I could from my friends green curry and was ready to go. The server told me that was how it's made and charged me for it...basically saying oh well. After bringing the check we never saw our server again. We even had to get our own Togo boxes since I guess at that point we weren't worth serving anymore.

I was visiting a friend in Denver and wanted some pad thai after having a beer close by when I found this place. The street pad thai was delicious; flavorful and a big portion too! We have some good Thai places in the Bay Area but nothing as good as this one! The restaurant is cozy, when I went it was empty but a lot of people were getting takeout (always a good sign). The hostess or owner was really nice too, very humble. I will deff come back here when I am in Denver again.

Definitely our new go-to for Thai! Decided to give this place a try after googling the best Thai restaurants in Denver and 9Thai came up twice. So glad we did. Ordered the veggie egg rolls for an appetizer- they were a bit greasy in the paper delivery bag but they were really yummy. My honey ordered the Basil Fried Rice with chicken. She said the ingredients all seemed really fresh, the entree was full of flavor, and while they didn't give you an abundance of chicken, the taste and quality were exceptional. I ordered the 9 Thai Tom Kha soup and ate nearly the whole thing in one sitting because it was amazing! So much galangal flavor along with the coconut... Delicious! Shrimp wasn't overcooked. Perfect amount of noodles. I ordered Hot and was only mildly disappointed in the heat level. Could have been a little spicier but the flavor was incredible. Order arrived hot and on time. Can't wait to try more of their offerings in the future.

Rude + Dishonest = This place is dead to me. I've been giving this place consistent business since late 2019 when I discovered it down the street from my place. In my opinion, it's usually really good but sometimes is a bit of a miss (more lately than before). One thing that has always been on point, especially to go, is the Thai iced tea. It's like 32 ounces and always really good. (Edit: you can literally look at a picture on here where someone mentions they have the biggest Thai tea ever.) Until today. I wanted one so I drove the whole two minutes down the street to order a drink, paying my $5.40 for the Thai tea (plus tip, of course) only to have the lady come out with a 16-ounce cup of tea. Let's take things one step further. Upon inquiring, I was met with a firm declaration that that was the only size they had, and that they always had. Lies. I stated that it was simply untrue, and that it was at least 1.5, if not 2x the size usually. She firmly told me they only had one size, and that that was the size. She then budged slightly, telling me it used to be 20 ounces instead of 16. Double lies. 20 ounces is your standard large size from a boba shop. Theirs used to be SIGNIFICANTLY larger, and it was really good. That's why I'd come here, after all. I asked for a refund because I'm not paying six dollars for 16 ounces of Thai tea, and she gave it back to me. She still has my tip money, and that's okay. The rude stare she gave me as she slammed the refund receipt down onto the bar was the icing on the cake to ensure they never get a single cent of my money ever again. I work way too hard to earn it and create value in the world to spend it at a place that lies to its customers and treats them rudely. It appears COVID hit their business, but to be dishonest AND rude about it? You could have apologized about the size and maybe even offered the truth, that you needed to reduce your size for the sake of staying in business? People understand in this world if you can connect and be honest with them. But if you are rude and lie about it, I don't care how good your food is. And the food isn't as good as it used to be, anyways. This place doesn't deserve my business so I'm not going to give it to them. I would suggest you do the same if you value your money and want to be treated decently.

Great Thai food in Denver. Super friendly staff. Delicious thai food. Made to the spicy level you request. Would absolutely return.

Ambiance fine, prices fine. Food okay but lacking in flavor and over salted. Service could be better.

There were 7 bugs in our water just floating and then 1 crawling on the outside. Who knows if they were all infested in the kitchen by that point. When we told the waitress, she got us knew cups, but they didn't comp or discount us because of the experience which was a bummer.

Food was great! They're not kidding around with the spice level - so be on the cautious side and get hot sauce on the side!

Thai coffee: 5 stars. Definitely one of the better Thai coffee I've had. Sweet and creamy and not watered down. Papaya salad: 3.8 stars. Good flavors. Would have given it a five if it had some dried shrimp and the cabbage should have been shredded. Not sure why there were big chunks of cabbage over the papaya salad - the container was too small to try and mix in the cabbage. Pad Thai:3 stars. There was no chili next to the pad Thai on the menu so I assumed it would not be spicy. However it was pretty spicy for some of the people in my group so that ruined it. They should put the chili next to it on the menu to show that it will be spicy. Shrimp and large and tasted good. Panama curry: 3 stars. Seafood were fine but the curry was so watered down like a soup. Not sure if it's just me but I'm used to the curry being a little thicker- more like a sauce vs soupy. Because it was watered down didn't seem to have much flavors. Tom Kha chicken soup: 3 stars. broth had good flavors - creamy and tangy coconut flavors. I didn't care too much for the chunks of tomatoes. Nothing made it standout much. Garlic tofu: 4 my favorite dish of the meal. Savory fried tofu. Tasted great albeit had a bit of heat. Luckily my little one liked tofu and was willing to eat it with rice and water. Food was decent- perhaps those of you who like spicy food will enjoy the meal more than we did.

This is a hidden lil gem!! Warning: if you order the Pad Thai mild- it's SPICY. Be prepared for this. Otherwise it was pretty good and one of the best I've tried in Denver!

Do not order from here! Denver has some amazing Thai restaurants. This is not one of them. Drunken Noodles were gross. Weird flavor, unlike any I have had before. Just a bland flavor with generic spice. The chicken was super over cooked. They also delivered the potstickers in a paper bag, completely stale. Wasted hard earned money :/

My mentee, who is from Thailand, brought me here for lunch because she loves one particular menu item: the chicken noodle soup. She said it really brought her back to her childhood. After giving it a try, I was excited to write about it on here. Except I can't quite find the right words to describe it. Might be something among the lines of, "Yeah, I felt that." This place is quite the hidden gem. On the outside, you might find it a little dusty and hard to find. Once you come inside, there's a cute hipster vibe that doesn't really do its authenticity justice. But once you taste the chicken noodle soup on a cold winter day, life is just beautiful. Worthy to note is also the Thai tea boba here. The glasses must have been the size of my face, if only my face were a little taller. Although the boba could have been a little softer, I was very impressed with its presentation. Clearly we couldn't finish our glasses after devouring the large bowls of soup, so they gave us to-go cups. Overall a very pleasant lunch that made our nostalgic selves and our bellies very happy!

I order from this restaurant often. Always excellent, consistent and fresh. The best Panang Curry I've ever had!

Best Thai food I've had in Denver so far! I tried the cream cheese rangoons, papaya salad, drunken noodles, green curry, vegetable stir fry, and fried banana ice cream. Everything was on point. The vegetables and shrimp were fresh, and nothing was too salty or sweet. Tasted delicious and authentic like eating from a Thai mama's kitchen. I'll be back!

Went to 9Thai the other day for dinner. Environment was self seating and then our waitress came to serve us shortly thereafter. The walls were black and there was minimal lighting which added a nice touch to the restaurants overall environment. The food was served after a short wait and our waitress was very friendly. There was, however, a family who had entered into the restaurant and after about 10 minutes of not being approached by the waitress, they ultimately left. Pad see ew spice level medium: 4/5. This dish was great is was exactly how it was described on the menu and the spice levels were definitely accurate of how I would rate medium, although it is subjective to each individual. There was a lot for the portion size, so I would definitely consider sharing with other individuals at your table or with another person. I also added beef as a protein to the dish which added an extra level of depth. Overall, I think I will definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends who enjoy Thai food because of the tastes brought to our table. This would also be a nice restaurant to visit for take out as well!

Do not talk to me about Thai food in Denver until you've been to 9Thai! This place exceeded all expectations, and threw in a few curveballs too. I came in during a springtime storm and ordered the Khao Soi regular spiciness. Well, it was super spicy and also super delicious. My partner and I laughed with surprise and delight by the slow burn of heat between beautifully rich, sweet, salty, savory flavors of the soup. Luckily we had ordered a thai tea, which is worth every penny. It is a hilariously large glass that you will need every drop of to cool off the Khao Soi burn. The ambiance of the dining room was cozy, pleasant, and modern, and while we were there was curiously blasting early 2000s romantic ballads. This was unexpected and totally fun. Every time I came to after pulling myself out of a spicy chile stupor, I was met by the lovesick voices of Keane, Snow Patrol, etc. I can't wait to see what happens on my next visit.

Wonderful Thai restaurant located on Colfax. The interior is beautiful designed, it is ambient and cozy. The server was wonderful, very kind and attentive. The fried tofu was delicious, I would get it every time. The curry was decent, we got mild spice which was probably the reason it lacked some flavor. Perfect spice and flavor balance. Had the Pad Kra Pao and it was hands down the best Thai entree I've had in the city so far. The egg rolls are a bit on the sweet side but I will definitely be eating here for many years to come!

I'm editing my review to say, not sure if it was the spiciness of the food or something else, but we definitely felt it the next day. We ended up tossing the leftovers, and if you know me-- I hate wasting food! We might have gotten unlucky, but just be warned and make sure you not overestimating your tolerance for spice.

We wanted to try a new restaurant during these covid times and I'm so glad we went with this one! Good packaging to ensure our food got home with us without spilling. I typically stray away from the pad Thai, just because it can be so Americanized but this one was off the chain. I'm glad my husband had a craving for this because it was full of flavor, medium heat was perfect. I was hankering for a khao soi or curry noodle soup and this one was fire. It definitely hit the spot considering it's difficult to find this dish, much less authentic like this one. Shrimp rolls were solid and we finished our meal with the mango sticky rice. Not too sweet and light coconut taste, I loved it! Swing on by and support your local businesses!!

I've been craving Khao Soi for months since a recent trip to Thailand and being exposed to the deliciousness of this coconut curry noodle dish in Chiang Mai. Khao Soi can be a bit hard to come across in the US, so I was really excited when I saw that 9Thai offered it (Khao Soy on the menu). The dish is offered starting at a medium spice level. I usually order at least medium for spiciness so was not expecting too much heat, but WOW. This "medium" was an eye-watering, lip-burning spice, but so tasty that I had no choice but to embrace the pain as I inhaled the broth, even if that meant needing to stick my tongue in ice cream afterward to stop the burning. The curry packed a powerful flavor punch. It did not overwhelmingly remind me of the Khao Soi I had in Chiang Mai, as it had a different type of noodle, different broth consistency, and was not served with pickled mustard greens; this reminded me more of an awesome ramen dish, but was delicious nonetheless. This will definitely be my go-to on the menu. I was a bit disappointed that the dish only came with one chicken leg, especially at the ~$15 price point.

I just spent $80 dollars on inedible food. I use to eat here once or twice a month, something is off... perhaps new ownership. Who uses canned green beans on papaya salad?!?! won't be coming back. I would suggest you save your money and go else where.
