The roasted meats were all quite good, though the duck skin was a bit chewy. Claypot rice had a nice crust, along with a tasty meat patty with a nice dry fish flavor (iykyk). Lastly, the Singapore curry rice noodle was delicious too. Fyi, you don't come here for service or decor, so grab a seat if you just want delicious food.

Uhm, if you are looking for clay pot rice. This is the spot to be. We were seated pretty fast and were warned that it would take a little bit of time for the clay pot rice to come out. Future Rae- get the sparerib clay pot next time. The eel was good but it's not as good as I think the sparerib would go. I also liked how they provided the sauce on the side if you wanted more. The crispy rice was so good! I did think the restaurant itself was a little warm but also this place is so authentic. I wish they had something open like this in CA!

Very loud, Cantonese speaking restaurant right next to the bridge, this is definitely as authentic as can be! King's kitchen is a busy crowded place with many roasted meats options, casseroles and congee options. We stopped by for take out, and I was deciding between this spot and another on also on East Broadway, and glad I decided on this (based on Yelp reviews! Thanks again to Yelp!) We ordered the roast chicken, roast duck over rice, both came with a side of steamed veggie. And also a congee with chicken to go. Note this is a cash only place! Overall will definitely come back as I want to try their casserole dishes!

This place is known for their clay pot rice dishes. Definitely order one of these... They are cooked perfectly and the burnt rice at the end is one of the best parts!

Dongpo's Pork: favorite order on the table. A must-try for any pork belly fans, like myself. Pieces have good balance between meat and fat. I recommend ordering a side of rice to enjoy this dish with, and the table hot sauce compliments this perfectly. Had to get a sauce refill. Taro with Preserved Meat Clay Pot Rice: the naturally sweet taro deliciously counters the salty meats. To get crispy rice texture, don't stir the bottom right away! The rice texture leaned almost too dry for my person liking--but table soy sauce brings back in some moisture. Also, this dish takes 15+ minutes to prepare so order an appetizer and/or prepare to wait. Rice noodle rolls: wide variety of fillings you don't typically find elsewhere. Great appetizers. All of this came to a $50 bill. Lastly, my server was phenomenal! Very attentive, thorough, and thoughtful.

I placed a take-out order on DoorDash and when I arrived the restaurant told me they didn't get my order. I proceeded to cancel and they claimed that they got that. Lousy way to not fulfill an order and waste my time. Won't order again.

Came here on a Saturday night for an early dinner (5:30p), the place was nearly packed! Luckily still a table left for 2. Loved the service here tho the waiters and waitresses were busy. Loved the clay pot experience and the roasted ducks here. Very flavorful. Definitely will want to come back again. Also, thank god for accepting credit card bc we didn't bring a debit card to withdraw money from the ATM! Price was reasonable as well!

King's Kitchen is a popular spot for their little clay pot rices. I love coming here and grabbing rice dish that comes with so many options. I ordered the Salty Chicken clay pot rice, and drizzle on top some of the soy sauce and hot sauce that's offered. The flavors are there and the rice stays warm. As you reach the bottom it gets a little crunchy which happens with clay rice pots. The rice takes a while to come out because they have to cook them a certain way, so definitely order ahead if you don't like waiting. We also ordered a lettuce dish and it was definitely more flavorful than expected. The sauce on the side made it a little saltier than expected so it's good to add what's needed.

When out of town in a city with a Chinatown, it's kind of a time honored tradition to take off on foot way too early in the morning in search of the perfect light breakfast food...Peking Duck. Crunchy, fatty, savory, gamey: all of this screams "breakfast!" to a troubled wannabe foodie like me. And so I did. Across Houston Street, without a map or guidance, in search of Chinatown NYC for the first sight of dead, roasted, crispy duck proudly presented in a storefront window. That brings us to King's Kitchen. I don't know if it's a chain or not (but chains so against my mom-and-pop eatery constitution), but they met my criteria: open at 8am, duck in window, no one speaks English, and no one inside looks anything like me. So I ordered by pointing to the window duck, and set down at a table to eavesdrop on conversation I had no prayer of understanding. The woman working the counter was delightful and incredibly accommodating given my total inability to speak her language. Graciousness was her stock and trade. The interior was actually well done for a low key joint; generally what you'd expect. The duck was cheap ($11 for a quarter duck) and tasty. All the bells and whistles you'd expect of Beijing bird.

Cheap food but understaffed in terms of table service. If you don't mind that, the staff is otherwise kind. Food comes out fast and pricing is pretty good. Beef chow fun could use a bit more flavor but good portion. Roast pig over rice was good - wish there was more of that meat sauce over the rice! They accept Visa here. Ambience isn't fancy, and tables are rather close together.

3 words. Clay pot rice. Amazing burnt goodness. A true hidden gem. Got two different flavors -- beef and pork knuckle. Both very good but I like the pork better. Once you're finished, they pour hot water into the clay pot to scrape all of that burnt rice goodness. Got gailan and some rice rolls but can't remember which ones...because all I cared about were the casseroles. Got the roasted duck to finish off. Why not, since that is what they're known for. Really good too. At the end, the server even gave a chance to roll 3/3 dice to win that meal free, which I was so close. We are all winners at that meal.

The three meat special here is very good! I've been to mott street and other places for the three meat special and I have to admit the quality and price is pretty solid! I ordered the three meat special and the beef chow fun! The dishes were only $10! The portion is pretty amazing as well! The quality of the crispy pork pretty solid due to how crispy the skin is. The chow fun had really good portion and they didn't go cheap on the beef either! Service is normal for places in Chinatown. Ambiance wise this seems like one of those hole in the wall places, I just wanted to try it out, but the food was very solid! This rating is based on the food. I would go back here to try other dishes and do have my eye on the clay pot with rice for my next visit. What they also did was really cool is at the end of your meal you get to roll 3 diced and if you hit 3 ones, your whole table's check will be free! I was able to land all 3 ones on my visit so it's a sign that you can do it too!

I've been coming here for years but I had the worst experience ever recently. The chicken served to me was raw and still had blood leaking out from it. While I know the way the chicken is prepared there is different from western culture, the blood was dripping all over my rice. When trying to tell the restaurant staff they responded to me "that's just Chinese chicken, if we eat it at home there would be more blood" I decided to eat around the chicken and after I finished my meal, I decided to give a $3 tip. Even after the situation with the chicken. The two waitresses hounded me down holding my shoulder preventing me from leaving and pointed down at the price with the tip suggesting, demanding that i paid more in tips. I explained to them I gave them more than the final bill so my costs are covered AND I gave you a tip. They kept demanding for more and more money. The waitress then screamed at me "Don't ever come back here again" Really sad that an establishment treats their loyal customer base like this. Again like I said I've been coming here for years. I will never go back. I do not recommend anyone come here and eat unless they want to be scammed and served raw meat.

We dined in on a Friday afternoon and it wasn't too busy, take-out was busier. We ordered the Mixed Sauces Rice Rolls, Three Choices BBQ Combination on Rice (roasted duck, scallion chicken, roasted pig), and Special Combo Rice Casserole. The rice rolls was ok, not sure why it's a popular dish according to yelp. The roasted duck, and scallion chicken were good, but the roasted pig was pretty dry. There was also less roasted duck compared to the other meats. The rice casserole was decent, it was a little dry even after the sauce was poured in. The rice had a nice crisp to it though. The waitress misheard me when I ordered the rice rolls, gave a different rice roll order, so there was a wait for this order. If you don't know, there is a wait for the rice casserole dishes, so others may be halfway done with their dish until this dish arrives.

Pretty solid homemade Chinese food. The congees were pretty good and they have all the staples you can think of.

Worth the extra walk into a part of Chinatown lesser known, meaning less tourists. The roast meats shine here, the service is warm and the seating is comfortable if you choose to eat in. Saw many people come in just to order take out while I was there for lunch on a week day.

Solid Chinese BBQ. Hay Hay has marginally better char sui (more flavor) and roast duck (less salty), but the crispy pork at Kings Kitchen is scrumptious--the meat tastes like 卤肉 and the skin isn't as greasy as Hay Hay. Overall, the portions were bigger, too. The major drawback was the hard AF rice, but it tasted so good soaked in the char sui juices. The rice roll was pretty standard, but could've used some more sauce. The prunella tea ($2.50) was super refreshing and tasted like herbal jelly. It's on the other side of Chinatown, so probably won't visit again simply because its a real pain to get to.

Ordered the three meat combo with soy sauce chicken, roasted pork, and roasted duck. The meat was tender, and the dish as a whole was amazing in both taste and value. Highly recommended for anyone who loves BBQ!

Braised pork belly is terrible and expensive. No flavor sauce is just tossed on. clay pots which are okay at best

I was pretty excited to come bc so many great reviews. I was very disapointed and will not return. Crispy pork and BBQ pork had good flavor but was room temp. Hence gives me not good vibes, all I am thinking is food poisoning. Rice rolls shu mai, HORRIBLE! Left very unhappy, and an hour later my husband and I both had bad food poisoning. Sitting on the toilet thinking about how I cannot understand how people can keep going here, considering how disgustingly filthy the chef and entire restaurant is!!

Keep coming back here for the Wonton Soup. Boring order I know, but it's very good. Once I got over the sneaking suspicion that the staff was laughing at me, I realized they're all pretty nice there. They're attentive enough and the food comes out quick.

First, understand that this is a chinatown hole in the wall. My expectations for service, communication, "ambiance", and menu accuracy immediately drop to below average. But my expectations for authenticity, traditional flavors and menu items increase to above average. With that in mind, this place did not disappoint, especially their clay pot rice. Of course there was a menu error in their special combo clay pot, but flavors were excellent and most importantly, the rice was done right. Flavorful and saucy on top, slight burnt and crispy on the bottom. Will definitely return for solid food. Just don't expect a fancy restaurant experience. And hey, sometimes that's totally ok. My star rating legend: 5: A+ Worth a special journey (ie. I would go out of my way, maybe even take a flight somewhere just for this; exceptionally amazing) 4: A excellent, a must try, solid place 3: B good; nothing extraordinary, but would definitely go again 2: C personally would never go again (unless invited by someone and I didn't get to pick the place), but I can see how others might find something appealing 1: Fail.  I would never return and recommend no on else goes either.

The food is nice, especially any one of the rice dishes. They serve a wide variety of meats that is cooked perfectly, seasoned well, and plated decently. The staff were able to fill the job well and are clearly hardworking. The prices are decent and not hard to afford while the atmosphere is good. It feels crowded but it's got a nice open environment and is very nice for small groups.

Service was amazing. Our waiter was very kind and we stroke up a great conversation. Quick, amazing food that was delicious! I'd definetley recommend the dumpling soup. The seating is a bit tight but it's NYC. They also have this cool thing where if you get the three dice on the same amount of dots, your food is free. Cute little way to make the experience a little better. Definitely will return!!

Great shrimp and scallion rice noodles. Fingers are very good too. Prices are decent. Surprised this place existed. It's not a place my parents mentioned but it's spot on.

Came here for food with friends. We ordered a lot: noodle rolls, casserole rices, veggies, and other dishes. Liked the noodle rolls, the crispiness of the rice at the bottom of the casserole after it becomes kinda like crackers (btw, they make cracking sound when ingested), and the veggies. Quite delighted of this place, may come back again in the future : )

Whenever In Chinatown I always stop by here to get some roasted meats. It's a casual restaurant where you can order to go at the counter or sit down and order. They have a 3 meat rice combo for $10.25 served with a small side of vegetable and some soup. I got the crispy pork, roasted pork and duck. The crispy pork taste best fresh when the skin is crunchy. Flavor on the roast pork and duck is also great. If dining in, the claypot rice is also great. Service is quick when ordering to to go.

Perfect meal for a cold NYC night. Not only did this place survive the pandemic, it is thriving beautifully. They're best known for the roasted meats, but their entire menu is quite amazing. Today we had some seafood congee and a salted chicken clay pot rice. Both are nostalgic Cantonese fares that conjure up warm memories to any person who might have grown up in Canton, China or just spend time there. They've mastered personal size clay pot rice. And the congee is fantastic. Silky, tasty and perfect for a cold winter night . The ambience is relaxed and the service is friendly.

Got the house special 3x clay pot. Waited for 30 mins for this dish. Good thing is I called ahead to order so I don't end up waiting in store for too long. The pot is tasty for sure. Crispy rice on the bottom and a lot of meat. But the portion is good if you don't eat that much. If you eat a lot, recommend you order another side dishes. Service is ok. Not busy on weekday night.

So happy that King's Kitchen re-opened their dining space. Rather than lugging home, my delicious roasted meats. We can once again enjoy their delicious char siu, roast pig and duck over a piping hot plate of steamed rice and vegetables.

WENT FROM OK TO CRAP I been here before a year ago it was ok. The place has a lot of space but decently crowded. We were seated and given tea pretty quickly. The food, however, came out on the slower side. (Somehow the quickest dish three choice bbq with rice came out last) As far as service one of our servers was pretty rude despite messing up an order. Stating that our messed up order was the same price as the one they gave us anyways. Trying to convince us to not change the dish. NO APOLOGY. This was the server with short hair and about 5'6. Her attitude from beginning to end was terrible. AND SCRATCH! that as I was writing this as a 2 possible 3 star review; they came out to ask for more tip. Didn't see anywhere saying anything about minimum tip base on party size. Despite giving them $15 tip for terrible service; they have the gall to come out to ask for $3 more after we already left the restaurant and leaving us utterly bewildered. Service: 0/5. Food: 2-3/5: let's start with the BBQ meats. The duck; greasy but somehow lacking in flavor. It was juicy but no flavor. The BBQ pork not bad. A little on the drier side of things but flavor is ok. The roasted pig; great crispy skin but also lacking in flavor. We ordered two chicken dish and they were both way too salty. The stewed beef was tender fall apart but dry. Almost like it was left open to air and not inside broth. Overall: Use to be an ok place to go for a quick lunch but now, just not worth the time or money from this experience. Lots of other better places to grab some food instead.

We went to King's Kitchen for dinner, and the experience was very disappointing. The service started off okay--the waiters gave us plates and water--but things quickly went downhill. My dad had to ask for water three times because he was really thirsty, and while they eventually brought it to him, no one else at our table received any additional water after the first serving. The food looked okay, but the taste was very mediocre. When it was time to pay the bill, I was told the payment machine was broken, and they were only accepting cash. It's hard to believe that a restaurant could have a broken payment machine and make no effort to fix it. This made me suspect that they might be trying to avoid taxes by insisting on cash payments. I explained that I didn't have enough cash to cover their mandatory 15% tip but offered to pay part of it. The waitress then grabbed a note from the wall above the machine and told me I could Zelle the rest of the tip. This further raised my suspicion that the machine might have been intentionally "broken." Due to the poor service, we hesitated to pay the tip, and my mom became very upset, wanting to call the complaint hotline on the restaurant wall. The waiter suddenly said it was okay not to pay the tip and just asked us to leave. As we walked out, the server even told us not to come back. I usually tip at least 15% when the service is good, but the service here didn't deserve it. Would never recommend it to anybody.

I was not feeling very well and didn't feel like cooking so I ordered delivery. I was craving for Siu Mei (Cantonese roast meat) that day so I decided to get some from King's Kitchen. I ordered char siu (roast pork) with noodle soup, soy sauce chicken, and roast duck just so that I could have a bit of everything. I was raised in Hong Kong and these roast meats tasted very authentic and delicious, just like the one that I used to have in Hong Kong. Char siu can be a little tricky to get sometimes since it can be very fatty or too lean depending on what cut they give you, and ordering it from delivery makes it even harder since you can't talk to the person directly. Luckily, this char siu that they gave us had the perfect amount of fat on it without it being too greasy! Usually when I order siu mei delivery, I will make my own rice and veggies to pair with it and that's what I did! These amount of meats plus the rice that we made were able to last us for 5 meals! Great value and great flavor! Will definitely get food from there again!

My friends loves there's clay pot rice and said it most authentic compared the limited places you can get clay pot rice in NYC. However as I picky eater I don't think their clay pot rice is half as good as the ones in HK. The tables sauces and kitchen doesn't look very clean as well.

Authentic Chinese restaurant with fast service and good food. We stopped in just for the chow fun and it was yummy! We ordered to-go and the wait was about 8min. The chicken chopping in the front window kept us entertained while we waited.

Today I stopped by here to try the claypot rice since my favorite place in the village went out of business. I got the chicken one. Chicken- good ginger flavor, cheap pieces of cut, lots of bone and cartilege and skin. Not much meat. Claypot Rice- very good crust, the white part could have been fluffier, but overall good. Summary: Will continue to look for other claypot rice places, I'll come back here when in the mood if i can't find anywhere else.

Plenty of seatings and fast service. Lots of various claypot rices. The bottom claypot rice is crispy. The one with Duck and mushroom is my fav. I also love the garlic stir fry bean sprouts and vegetables.

Good was alright but worst attitude server. Food was okay but service was unacceptable. Five of us were doing a food crawl where we order small dishes at many places and we got to Kings Kitchen and ordered two dishes which came out around $17. The lady waitress who took our order was already judging us hard when we only ordered a few dishes. We finished our food in like 15mins and ready to leave, we asked for a check and at the end we gave a 18% tips. The same waitress came to look at the receipt, look dissatisfied, yelled at us how we have five people and give so little tips. One of us then just left $20 cash on top of it to get us out of the situation. Though I disagree with how we resolve it. I think it's disturbing for the waitress to call us out on how much we should be tipping when she did perform an excellent customer service. She would be rated negative 2 out of 5 stars. We understand that this place is operating in America where tips become a big deal if customers don't pay, but at the end of the day it should be up to customers to evaluate how much they're willing to give. This place definitely left a bad taste in our mouth. We will never come back and we will continue to never recommend this place to our friends and family.

King's Kitchen on East Broadway is a hidden gem in Chinatown for delicious claypot rice. Their version is the best I've found in the neighborhood - flavorful, perfectly cooked, and with generous portions. If you're looking for a hearty and satisfying meal at a great price, King's Kitchen is definitely worth checking out.

Was craving some Clay Pot rice and this place hits the spot! I ordered the special combo that comes with either yellow eel or frog and choice of two other toppings; I chose 1) Yellow Eel 2) Spare Ribs with Black Bean sauce 3) Preserved Vegetables with Minced Meat. It takes a while for this meal to cook (~20 min). But rest assured that it is worth the wait. The smells are amazing. You can definitely still hear the crackling of rice when you uncover it. Drizzle it with the seasoned soy sauce and mix away that deliciousness. For the price $14, you get great value and quick service. This is a good establishment for Chinese newbies and those who love home style food. Cheers

This place is known for there Clay pot rice. It is rice cooked with toppings in a clay pot, if cooked right the bottom will have crispy rice. We ordered salted fish and frog legs and chicken, it was ok. Ordered noodle dish, it was took saltly had to make them redo dish. Ordered there kind bbq meat roast pork, chicken and duck, pork was hard and dry, duck very little flavor, chicken no flavor. Ordered a vegetable dish call water spinach it was chewy not fresh.

3.8 Not bad. Crab Emperor Squid - acceptable. Msg-y. Heavy breading. Expected Chinatown quality. Roast meat was pretty good. My HK friends also strongly recommend their roast meat here.

Dine in service is finally open! Waited for two years to have this clay pot rice fresh off the stove. I've only tried the preserve meat one twice, food came out piping hot, and the soy sauce made it even better. The Chinese name of this place translates to Clay Pot King, so you kind of have to get it. Their wonton noodle soup is also amazing. If you don't want carbs, you can get a side of meat for $8.25+, but the portion was smaller than expected. I'd recommend getting the Two Types of Meat over Rice, it's the same price and probably similar meat portion.

Very sad to give this a 3 star review, but had to be honest. I asked for the roast pork over rice, but the cashier kept telling me pork was pig. I told her I wanted pork, the char siu, but she said that was pig, so I trusted her and got the pig. I then looked at the menu and there was two different menu items for roasted pork and pig. It was still a solid place for roasted pig. The pig was fatty, but it did a little in flavor. I wish there was some dipping sauce on the side. The pig skin was chewy and not really crispy. The vegetable was perfect texture though, soft but crunchy. FYI, it's cash only for take out.

They had roaches in our food and when we tried to return it they gave a bad attitude but still got the the cash back they even accused us of putting the roach on there ourselves never coming here again. We didn't even eat a single bite of our food

Wah Fung No 1 was closed so we went to King's Kitchen instead, after reading favorable reviews about the roasted duck. That was a mistake, there was so much more fat, bone and cartilage than actual duck meat, that we left hungry and had to get a second lunch. I know duck is greasy but, ick. I have had much better roasted duck. Not for us.
