Hi, I recently was at your establishment. I found this gigantic piece of plastic in my hot pot, and when I told my server, their concern was non-existent, just asking me if I wanted another one. This is a serious matter and feel like my concerns were not addressed during my eating time. See photo below. I attempted to email them and the email address they gave was no longer in use. The atmosphere is great, with big-headed dolls singing birthday songs; barbecue and hot pot, various recipes, good quality and low prices! There are special discounts for seniors over 70 years old

I tried the all you can eat BBQ it 😋 was cooked for you. There was lots of sauces. They had edamame fries chicken nuggets and buns. They also had pumpkin soup included. We tried different meats and veggies. The service was attentive and nice. If it's your bday you get a song by monkey 🐒. It's a festive and upbeat ambiance. I would definitely recommend 👌

Always a great experience. I was alone and even though I was going to take a whole table just myself I was welcomed and well received. I was asked to share the table with another lonely wolf like me which I didn’t mind. I also had a great conversation. Food is always good and service always terrific. There’s a new buffet at the center of the place added after the renovations from which you can get more food for the same price. This place it is always a nice place to visit for dinner. Thimb up👍🏻

Went back after their renovations - food quality still the same, service was lacking a bit but probably due to new staff. Really enjoyed the buffet style appetizers/drinks/desserts bar they set up. Kenny is as always, polite, friendly and professional. Recommend

This is a franchise All you can eat Hot Pot or Korean BBQ. Prices are reasonable and many options to choose from. There are a wide selections of Meats, seafoods, Vegetables, and etc. Couple different broths to get as well. Sauce are self served, you create your own as to your liking. Best part is this place opens late, meaning 2am. It's so beneficial to open late especially in NY, where the city never sleeps. The hot pot items was super fresh and delicious. We would definitely come back!

99 Hotpot in Brooklyn is a gem! My wife and I, sharing the same birthday, are always treated to fresh food, great prices, and top-notch service. The staff is consistently attentive and their birthday celebrations with the monkey mascot are unforgettable. Their BBQ is a must-try. Highly recommended for a fantastic dining experience!

Great spot for small meet ups with friends and family. The staff is friendly and very attentive. I had the opportunity to have both hotpot and Korean bbq, both did not disappoint. Endless food options to try, some tasty, some not. Definitely trial and error, just make sure you don’t over order or they’ll charge you for whatever is left. Overall pretty good spot.

This is my second review but I guess because they have renovated the place is like my first one. I love 99 Favor Taste.I really enjoy to go there,they always treat you well,always great service and good food. There's a new buffet now from which you can grab food included in the original price. I went there last night,I was alone and I was asked to share a table with another guy as well by himself. I didn't mind it at all and I had a nice dinner and conversation.Also,the person I was sitting with was from Hong Kong and he told me that 99 Favor Taste is the best place around Sunset Park for hot pot and also the closest one to the original taste.Like I wasn't enough satisfy while leaving the restaurant because outside was raining hard the kind man at the entrance (owner,manager?)gave me a plastic rain poncho. This review is for dinner. Unlike the Chinatown location, this one did not have a wait (even for weekend dinner). Restaurant is a good size (similar to the other location) and would be good for larger groups. Cleanliness was fine, service is what you'd expect (not necessarily friendly), but quick and efficient. This is AYCE hot pot and I think it's a good value, especially to other places where you pay a la carte. Veggies seemed fresh and meat was fine as well. Lots of veggies, meat, seafood, and dumpling options. My absolute fave are the fish roe dumplings. There's also a self serve sauce bar. Dinner comes with a little thing of ice cream as well.

Great value AYCE BBQ and hotpot. They offer a free birthday meal three days before, on the actual day, or three days after, but you must be with a group of four. The service is good, and they have a variety of options to choose from.

For AYCE, this place is great. What's even better is if you go on the day of your birthday because you get to eat for free. I've been to 99 many times and at different locations. I find their AYCE to be pretty affordable compare to a lot of new places. The hotpot options has all the basic and necessary options; except some items are "sold out". For 99 Favor, I would rather hotpot than BBQ; their quality of the meat is not the finest but still tasty. The service is attentive and a lot of workers are kind. The ambiance is pleasant as the seating are pretty individualized which usually fits 4 people per table. There are a couple of rooms for larger crowds. There is also a new game against the wall which seems very tempting.

This was my first ever hotpot experience and I truly did not know what to expect. The service made it super comfortable and easy for me to enjoy my meal and I never felt like I was forgotten as I ate by myself. I enjoyed the overall experience and I would love to come again. This is not only perfect spot for a friend setting but an overall great dinner spot

New free events: - Challenge of pressing the button and if it stops at 9.99 seconds, the whole table is free (beverages excluded) - Tag them on Instagram to get one Thai iced tea - Snacks in the front counter (Sweet buns, Veggie rolls, Popcorn chicken, Edamame, French fries) Service was great! Each time I was looking for chopsticks, napkins, and gloves there was someone nearby. There was also staff nearby with iPads for orders. AYCE Hotpot was $27.99 per person + tax. A good selection of meats and seafood. The veggie options there were a few items that were not available. Overall the food was good. I really like that the food came in a wooden boxes with smaller portions than just plates. I think that helps with wasting and if people want more they can reorder. Great variety of spices and sauces in the back.

There are a ton of other hot pot places in the area, but we keep coming back to this one. I come here often with one of my girlfriends since the service is consistently fast and the ingredient selection is pretty good. We usually get an assortment of meats, veggies, and a ton of fried tofu skin which is one of my faves. The star of the show here is the crab though. Somehow, some way, they always have crab with the most roe, so we easily go through a few orders. We haven't tried the Korean BBQ here yet, but I plan on it. Dinner ends with a free ice cream. I always try to protest this a bit, but I have a hard time turning away a sweet treat - even if I'm bursting at the seams. The restaurant is always packed, and they have separate rooms for larger groups. A clean space for the most part, although the sauce station is usually a hot mess. It could def use a bit more attention from the staff.

Came here for the free birthday meal and the service was so outstanding! You do have to visit 3 days before or after your bday and show your ID with a party of 4 or more to get your free birthday meal. The staff was so attentive and also came out in a cute monkey costume at the end to sing happy birthday haha! It was a bit embarrassing but also quite cute. They also gave the patty ice cream cones with a candle stuck on it which was so unexpected but very appreciated! Theres also a good variety of options for AYCE and you can opt to have separate hot pots or a shared hot pot. They also have BBQ or an option to do both BBQ and hotpot. We opted for only hotpot. The food was fresh and good quality for the price! They also have private rooms for larger parties if needed. Highly recommend coming here with family and friends for a fun and enjoyable meal!

Price per $$ reasonable. All you can eat for 2 hours. Loved it. Friendly manager and staff. Vivi was our person to help us. Loved her in helping with the cooking and recommendations. Most desserts were sold out but if you go with the ice cream it's all you can eat with your meal. If you're a wine drinker reasonable price $10. We did for our party the $32.99 BBQ special. Delicious everything. When you go here go hungry. Try to car pool. Parking horrible but I got lucky. I love the singing when it's someone birthday. they get into character. Then in the end before you pay they let you play this quick game. More fun and challenging. If you stop it at exactly 9.99 your entire table is free except drinks. So fun.

After renovations, they've officially reopened for business on 8/22. Customer service was superb. Very bright and clean. Unlimited beverage and ice cream. They have a hot food and fruit station in the middle of the restaurant. Love the minimalist wooden design. Coming back again on 9/2 for my father's birthday!

Great options on the menu for hot pot or Korean bbq! We love coming here! The staff is helpful! The kimchi is also very good here! The place is very clean as well! Deff worth a visit!

Not sure yet. Was going to go but may go in a bit. Kids prices are under 8 year old is FREE!!! Someone posted $19.99 for kids but didn't mention anything about age... DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THAT CREDIT CARDS???? We got there!!! There are a few items to choose from from hotpot. Ohhh the server don't speak English so use google translate to talk to him... Sometimes you have to wait for the server to be available. For the price is not too bad. I used to love this Korean BBQ spot--it was my go-to place for delicious, authentic Korean BBQ. The flavors were always spot on, and the service was impeccable. However, my recent visit left me disappointed. Since the new management took over, the experience feels rushed. The once perfectly marinated meats now lack the depth of flavor that made this place special. To make matters worse, the meats weren't fully cooked by the end of our meal, which is a serious concern. I hope they can return to their former glory, but for now, I can't recommend this place like I used to.

Hot pot and KBBQ?! It doesn't get much better than that! They have so many options for food selection and condiments. I have been here several times and they are always so accommodating, whether it's 4 people or 12 people. I really like that this place allows the table to split hotpot and KBBQ. The selection of meats, veggies, and carbs is really extensive and there's plenty for everyone to find things they want to eat. The broths are flavorful, my favorite is the spicy " Ma La" which is a numbing spice. Perfect for the winter time! Depending on the table/group size, some pots are family style where you can have up to three flavors, or it's your own little pot. Service is pretty solid, they will check back to clear away empty dishes, change your grill, and ask how things are going. Sometimes if it's very busy you might need to flag them down but they are very efficient. It's a great place to go with friends and definitely a perk that they are open late. It's reasonably priced and has a great selection of foods, you really can't ask for more. On top of this, the last time I came here I saw an ad for 100 bottles of soju for $30 some dollars....

I had high expectations for this place as I thought I'd heard good things about it. I was pretty disappointed by both the food and service. Both left a lot to be desired. For around $30 pp, we ordered AYCE hotpot. They have both the option for individual pots or a big pot with 3 different dividers. We got sat a table for both kbbq and hot pot, so it was difficult for everyone to reach the communal pot. When we asked to switch to a table for individual pots, which they had plenty of, they refused even though we hadn't received our food yet. Our server was clearly annoyed and rolled her eyes at us before asking the manager. The manager told her to make a random excuse and say it wasn't possible. We were appalled that they wouldn't even try to accommodate our request even though the restaurant was empty. As for the food, it was alright. They brought out the veggies first, including fish cake and quail eggs. The meat didn't come out for another 30-40 min, which is a bit long when you only have 2 hrs to eat. That meant we couldn't order more easily. They didn't come around really asking if we wanted to anyways. I don't think I'll come back. Even though the price was alright for AYCE, there are so many other places with comparable prices and better food and service. I was pretty disappointed in the experience.

This place was very nice. Came for my birthday and my birthday meal was free. Food was good I would season on your own as they grill. Customer service was amazing

Decently priced spot for AYCE. Our family of 6 went in for KBBQ for lunch on a Saturday and it was pretty empty. It was hot out so we decided to skip the hot pot. I never say no to KBBQ because 1) I don't have to cook at home and 2) my husband enjoys doing most, if not all, of the cooking while we're dining in. My younger 3 boys are fascinated with the sight of a grill in the middle of the table and KBBQ doubles as entertainment for them when we are out. Win-win. We were seated in a huge booth and our server came over to take our drink orders shortly after. We did a round of water for everyone and then I eventually caved and got my kids some orange juice and Sprite to keep them occupied while we looked at the menu. We scanned a QR code for the electronic menu and my husband asked for a couple of meat varieties and rice right away. My first impression of the restaurant was how clean and well kept everything is. The dining room itself has plenty of seats and tables to accommodate on busy weekends, and they have party rooms for special occasions and big groups. While we waited for our meat and rice to arrive, my husband went to the sauce station and came back with a bowl of dipping sauce he curated for him and I to share. It was delicious and I had to send him back for more. Before the food came, our server brought over plates, utensils and scissors to cut the meat into smaller pieces for our kiddos and a jug of water to refill our cups while we ate. We tried everything from lamb to beef, chicken to seafood and we weren't disappointed. My 11 year old loves shrimp and he thoroughly enjoyed the selection. My younger 3 boys did not complain with the beef and chicken selections, as long as they had their rice. Right after we paid the bill, our server asked if the kids could have some ice cream to go and they were happy with the chocolate and vanilla choices. We left with full bellies and even my picky 3 year old has been asking when we would be going back.

NYC Hot pot enthusiasts are well aware of what 99 Favor Taste brings to the table (#1): a combo hot pot + bbq experience in unlimited quantity. This recipe (#2) for success has lead to locations throughout the boroughs, with this location being the first of two in Brooklyn. Compared to its sister locations, the interior is pretty nice and modern. It has its moments of feeling clean and sleek, but also shows its wear and tear in places like the restroom and common areas. Groups shouldnt't have much trouble getting seated and the waits during the weekends can be a little overwhelming. (#3). I think they've done a good job with the ventilation, considering all the hot pot steam and BBQ smoke. For between $32-38, one can have unlimited hot pot, or a combination of hot pot and bbq. The quality of the food is mid, but this is expected of an all you can eat spot. Either the dual (yinyang style) or triple pot is the way to go for hot pot with soup bases of their original, pig bone, and Chinese herbal. The sleeper broth is the tom yum kung, which gives some of the proteins some surprisingly in-depth flavor. The selection of frozen foods they have is fairly good. I like their Fuzhou fish balls, which are stuffed with pork. The cuttlefish balls and fish tofu are good additions as well. The regular meat selection has the standard items such as beef, lamb, pork, and luncheon meat but also things like pork blood, duck feet, chicken gizzard, and cow throat. In other news, the vegetarian section seems to be more robust than ever. On the BBQ front, the cuts are a little disappointing. Beef filets and steak ribs are not great. Their pork belly slab was underwhelming and most of the seafood is not easy to cook. The prawns and squids get stuck to the grill a little too easily. At least the BBQ comes with the option of ordering seafood pancake. Service has always been up and down, but mostly up in my experiences. They've been fairly good about getting foods out to folks and are usually conversational in Mandarin. When the crowds aren't as intense, the service is way more efficient. It should be noted that the prices here are cheaper than the Manhattan location by a couple of dollars. (#4) Lastly, this is a good birthday "free meal" spot. Come within 3 days to claim it. ___________ (#1) Literally. (#2) Or perhaps, appetite? (#3) Ahhh, suddenly another location in the same neighborhood makes sense. (#4) Even cheaper are their Flushing, Queens and Staten Island locations.

The timing was superior when it came to order time though it was a little hard to order drinks and get more water. The food though small in portions was highly filling as we ordered what pleased us and not our eyes. A very casual place with k-pop and some more modern music playing giving the place life. Would always visit these kinda establishments til next time

Had a fantastic time at 99 favor taste ! When you first come in, they greet you by letting you spin a wheel (might just be a Chinese New Years event, unsure). Prizes range from a free soda, beer, a 10% off lifetime card, or lobster ! Regardless, it's a nice gesture for the new years. Options are pretty typical of a AYCE hotpot/bbq chain, though admittedly I wished they had a bit more bbq options (grilled scallions would've been fire). Service is relatively quick, they can cook and manage the BBQ grill for you, and there's a dancing bear mascot parading around for people's birthdays ... what else would you ask for for under $40 per person?

Google said open at 12 we drove 1 hour in traffic and the plane is closed down I checked the website no mention that they were closed.

Came here last night to celebrate a family friend's birthday. Gave them ice cream cake to put in their freezer and had the restaurant mascot Monkey come sing "Happy Birthday" with photos. Overall food was good but nothing amazing. Service was okay; understandable slow due to the busy staff running all over the place. But need cleanliness all over! They hardly removed our dirty/empty plates and some plates were dirty upon arrival. Thank goodness for the stack of clean plates at the table. 99 favor is known as a birthday dinner spot. Birthday person gets a free meal on their week of birthday; either 3 days prior, on day of, or 3 days after birthday. Must show ID and must be in a group of minimum of 4 people. It was crazy crowded/busy as usual. I saw a waitlist sign now; we had called in reservations to book a private room. 2hrs max but sometimes it rolled over just a tiny bit due to the kitchen being busy. Condiment bar was mostly depleted and messy. There wasn't any bowls (did the bowls get smaller?) when we arrived and had to wait for the staff to replenish the entire condiment bar. It took awhile. They never did refill the Korean Bbq sauce- heard it was out all night (not that I wanted that sauce in particular). I wanted the satay sauce which looked watery without the actual satay sauce filling as if they diluted it. Restrooms- in particular the women's restroom-- a 2 stalls tiny room only had 1 working stall. They had cover the entire left stall (accessible stall) with black trash bag to show that it was out of service. The right stall was the only one working with limited toilet paper and the trashcan overflowing. Restoom need attention but all staff was busy on the floors running food, cooking and with the 'Happy Birthday' songs/clapping. Lines were out the door and we just wanted to wash our hands before eating. That made the other female customers thought we were skipping them and they all decided to go and wait inside the tiny room. Noticed they changed up the menu. It had been awhile since we were last here. There are 2 menus- drinks with appetizers and new dishes (rice/noodles al la carte) and the Hot Pot /BBQ menu. It is much simpler with larger font. Did the selection get smaller? They ran out of the dried fried bean curd so my vegetarian sister in law was sad. We always have to clarify that all vegetarian options must be separate from the meat/seafood options so that they are not touching. That also means any meat/seafood dumplings/meatballs can't touch the vegetables stuff. In the pictures you can see that 2 plates came all mixed. Raw chicken/pork/fish filet was next to the vegetarian stuff (udons/corn/daikon/wintermelon/tofu, etc). Giant clam next to ramen, mushrooms, pumpkin, etc. I wish that all hotpot place should make the platters separate- veggies should be all veggies. Raw meat/seafood on its own platter (separate if necessary due to seafood allergies) and such.

99 flavor is a classic ayce hotpot chain. I haven't been for a while, so it was refreshing to revisit it. As like years before, they have their birthday promotion where one person can have a free meal on their birthday as long as the party is 4 or more. The costumed monkey came out more than 4 times throughout our meal, so don't be surprised when you hear birthday music randomly and quite frequently in your meal. My friend and I were luckily seated in the back which was less busy and bustling - so our meal felt more comfortable and less loud. Note the pork isn't pork belly meat (which we would have preferred). Portions and prices are reasonable, and it's your standard ayce hotpot flair. Call for a reservation during the winter months if you want to avoid the wait!

I have been a regular at this hotpot restaurant for years, and it is always my go-to spot for birthdays. The free birthday meal promotion is a great value, and the staff is always accommodating. As I recall, you do have to visit +/- 3 days from your birthday and be prepared to show your ID but overall they were extremely accommodating. I wasn't sure if you needed more than a party of 5 if you wanted 2 free meals but they assured me that a party of 5 was okay! On my most recent visit, I celebrated my father's and fiancée's birthdays. We were seated in a private room in the back of the restaurant, and the service was impeccable. The staff brought out ice cream cones with candles for the birthday celebration, and a staff member even came out in a monkey costume to sing the happy birthday song. The food at this restaurant is simply outstanding. There is a wide variety of options to choose from, including fish balls, meats, seafood, noodles, and vegetables. The hotpot broth is flavorful and the ingredients are fresh. Whether you are celebrating a special occasion or simply looking for a delicious meal, this restaurant is a great choice. The restaurant is clean, the food is excellent and the service is top notch. Would recommend taking all your friends and family here.

This is a decently priced hot pot AYCE here in Brooklyn, this is my secondary choice when my primary has a long wait time. Usually I and my guests would dine here on weekends, they do have long waits but if you reserve in advance you will be seated immediately. Walk-ins are accepted but with a LONG wait. The front desk tries their best to get you in and out but this all depends on the dining parties. As for the variety of broth's they are acceptable but limited. The variety of proteins and veggies are varied so you can have many combinations. Ambiance is chill but interupted by loud Birthday music from time to time or just loud diners in conversation. You will have a good time none the less if you choose to dine here.

Service was off during my visit. The sauce station was out of sa-cha sauce. I informed a staff but it was never refilled until about an hour later when we were done eating. We also were missing an order. We waited a super long time for our second order, at least 30 minutes. Checked with the waitress and found the order was "lost" (whatever that means). She had to take the order again. When the food finally came, the meats were missing. The waitress had to go into the kitchen to follow up. I usually go to the Chinatown location. First time in Brooklyn. Not sure if I would come back again.

Totally wasn't what I expected, but once we were seated, my feelings changed. The atmosphere was funny and cool. The service was great. Our waitress was very helpful and nice. The food was great. Getting to cook my own food was fun. It was my birthday and they sang for me plus the birthday person eats for free

5 stars for hotpot 4 stars for Korean bbq 99 favor's forte is hotpot which they do very well. They include premium items like large clams and crab. The kbbq was good but fell short from real kbbq. They didn't have much banchan ( sides ) so you're pretty much using the hotpot sides for kbbq.

Pretty good time and fun experience overall. A bit hectic with a large group as the tables have a limited number of hot pot burners and BBQ grills. Staff try their best given staff shortages and a high volume of customers and orders. I'd recommend getting the Hot Pot and BBQ option which will cost approximately $39. Also pay attention to what you're ordering in the app. There are certain food items that carry an additional cost - like the already cooked appetizers.

My go-to hot pot place. Good service, good selection, and always a good vibe. I go here for every time I need to celebrate an good thing that's happened in my life.

Hot pot was good but not the Korean bbq. If anyone wants Korean bbq, please go to a Korean restaurant. Service was great but ambiance? Too loud for me. I'll be back though.

Good customer service. Good Ambiance. Food was Good. There were free appetizers and new shrimp and tofu options and the free ice cream is back and they let you get as much as you want.

99 Favor Taste is really the way to go for AYCE hot pot at a good price. The beef and shrimp were fresh and just wonderful. It seems like they downgraded on the fish tofu and mini sausages because they definitely did not taste as good as before. I think the table we sat at had older heating tops because it was take a long time for the hot pot to boil. The bone broth was also super oily for some reason. But had an enjoyable experience overall. Service was attentive and fast. There was always someone coming by our table to check on us even tho they have the online ordering thing now. Also they had strawberry ice cream!

The first hotspot restaurant is also the worst Rude, and disrespectful to the elderly, I don't expect you guys to smile at me, y'all look like you just finished a funeral and came back to work, everyone has a different answer to every order, there's a lady waiter talks so loud and whenever we ask her about anything she's voice goes deep and low, how you transfer your gender so easily maybe that's the reason why your business goes down so badly a few years ago, I came to this places there's no empty table every day was fully book and now worker more than customers, I would never come to back to 99

The glass cups were oily and dirty. The service was terrible too. We had to get up multiple times to get someone's attention.

Really aesthetically pleasing place. They also seem pretty busy. The choices are pretty common. Most of the food are fresh and decent quality. The hot pot broth was good with a nice level of heat. The beef was great! The lamb quality was subpar. The choices are pretty average. The best are the clams and the crab! Overall decent choices, far and few good ones in between. Not much that stands out too much. The wait and ordering process was lackluster. Takes too long for them to come by/ send plates out. It's ok, but certainly better places around.

Like any 99 Favor Taste. If you live in NYC, you've definitely visited one before. The service and food options are great for the price. The food options are pretty good, but not as extensive as other buffet bbq and hotpot places that charge more. You get what you pay for, but I'd say it's worth the price. Not the best hotpot ever, but definitely worth what you pay, and the service is pretty good! I specifically visit the Brooklyn Location because they offer unlimited ice cream. The Chinatown and Flushing location does not offer free ice/cream or dessert unless it's your birthday. The 8th Avenue Brooklyn Location offers Ice Cream whether it's your birthday or not and even offers a free dessert if it is your birthday! Can't beat unlimited complimentary ice cream! Best 99 Favor. Hands Down.

I was there with my friend for dinner and I can't tell that the food is solid and at a decent price! We had a lot of food and meats and also had the hot pot. The service is also good and they will come fast when we order more meat. I heard people celebrating their birthdays there and that was cool and I think they get to eat for free. I love the decoration by the entrance too.

I suggest making a reservation here since I overheard other diners that came in without a reservation on a saturday at 630 needed to wait for an hour to an hour and a half for a table. They do have an online waitlist so you can sign in there a little early. They do check vaccination cards which is a plus for me! The menu was a typical hotpot place menu with all the staples. Seafood was an extra $1.99 and seafood pancake was an extra $1.99. Not sure if they have other setups but the table my group was seated in did not allow for individual pots and I think this was because there just wasnt enough space for both hotpot and the bbq station so it was a shared pot. Be prepared to smell like food when you leave, much like most hotpot places, but it did seem like they lacked ventilation. This location also didnt have "sweet soup" dessert, only vanilla ice cream.

Loved the food it was very good and the place was clean I just felt very rushed and even though there was nothing wrong with the food my whole experience was blown because I felt like my every move was watched I already hate eating out and getting anxious but the staff was not even making it lowkey they were all up in our faces and demanded more than 10% for a tip. it's just crazy BUT I would go back for the food and the food alone and honestly it only cost me like $30 and I ate a good amount.

First time dining indoors during the pandemic and came here on a weekday afternoon right when they open. We were the only table and servers were busy prepping for the day. It's been a long time since I dined in at 99 and they've certainly changed their menu for the better. Hot pot is now $24 per person. I love how they add some appetizers like their seafood pancake to the hot pot menu now. Before, it was extra side order or only inclusive with their KBBQ. The owner of 99 came up to us and gave us food suggestions and asked us for our feedback on the menu and if there's any specific items we would like to see added to the menu in the future. I appreciated the personal conversation. I did see a lot of new items and broths they didn't have before like tom yum and curry. My only complaint was that the broths aren't very flavorful compared to their competitors. The broth was pretty watered down from the beginning and I was disappointed with their spicy broth. Wish it had a spicer kick. Overall, I was pleased with my experience here and I made sure to leave a 25% tip to show appreciation for restaurant workers and their hardship during this past year.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant as it was a comfortable loudness. I do have a few complaints as they aren't really as compatible to a few of my dietary restrictions when I called in ahead of time to ask, but it is what it is. They had a lot of extra items around the shop that you could get on top of everything else which was cool. The food was really good. I only enjoyed the hot pot from this restaurant and it was delicious. I wish we could eat the hot pot and the Korean BBQ together but that wasn't really available which was a little down but it is what it is, I guess.

We had a reservation for 2 but due to transportation, we ended up being late. We called and they were very flexible with changing our reservation time and waiting for us to arrive. When we arrived we were seated immediately! We chose to do hotpot only and selected the Herbal Broth. I was a little confused with how the pork came out, I expected it to be thin slices like the beef but this pork seemed like it was meant for the KBBQ side. There were many sauces at the sauce bar and lots of things to choose on the hotpot menu. However, the staff rarely came by the table and when we used the QR code to order more to our table, it did not come out until we asked a waiter 20 minutes later. It was like they forgot about us the whole time. We also waited a LONG time to get our check and card back. Overall, the food was okay but the service was not the best.

We got the barbecue so prepare to eat lots of meat and ask for lettuce. The food is really good, you can grill it however u want, they give you minced garlic and oil to cook with, and if u get cumin powder from the sauce station and add it to your grilled food, its so amazingly delicious. There's a sauce station, you get to make your own sauce. There's soy sauce, sesame oil, and a lot more. Definitely recommend using satay sauce for the base of your sauce. Drinks are really good, and so are the customer service. They cut the shrimp for you and help you flip the food.

This a frequent flying spot of mine :) Neighborhood classic all you can eat KBBQ or hotpot. Prices are very good. Can also do combo if you want both hotpot and bbq. You can cook yourself or choose for your server to. Great meat selection. Self serving sauce bar. Ice cream comes with all you can eat. Also free to eat on your birthday ! I will never stop eating at 99 favor

Honestly 99 Favor taste has fell off the face of the earth. My niece use to love coming here Precovid. We decided to come here on a Friday afternoon. It was dead and slow. No host at all. There was one guy working the front and the table I guess. Service was slow and it was just not it. The food selection is not the same as it use to be. Half of the menu is gone and the price went up. We've order multiple of certain things and still only got 4 pieces of each? The table was gross we had to wipe it down with Clorox wipes. The bathroom is DISGUSTING and GROSS! It's super dirty. As if they have never been clean it before. There is no paper towel to dry your hands and to close the faucet. So basically you're washing your hands to touch the dirty faucet and to eat again. How disgusting and disappointing. Definitely will not come back ever again! YIKES.

Went here with my friend for her birthday, since she loves hot pot. The place is OK. The restaurant is clean and the service is excellent. Since it's AYCE, you do get a great bang for your Buck $ here, especially since everything is fresh and cut well to be cooked in the small pot. My biggest issue is the lack of flavor in both the broth and the sauces they offer. Full Disclosure: I'm not a huge fan of hot pot because I prefer that GBD you get from the Maillard Reaction. I'd give this place 3.5 * if I could, since it's a great late night dining option, especially for groups, and you eat for free on your birthday.

I've been to the one in the city multiple times and this Brooklyn location is even better than that one. So much street parking right outside on a Friday night! For about $30/head, you get to eat as much steak, shrimp, beef, and veggies as you want bbq'd right on your table! Everything tasted fantastic. We even had a mascot sing happy birthday for my niece! I definitely will come back.

Came here for a birthday dinner, I have never been to a restaurant like this before so I was excited, I love to try new things, the staff was very pleasant at the front, and I loved the wish tags that were hanging all over the front. We were seating in what I would describe as a private room, aka maybe booth, but you're pretty much private from the main restaurant room. The seating is a bench, and everyone has there own circular burner in front of them for the hot pot, and in the middle there is the bbq. I really wish the waiter would have explained the way things work...because there wasn't any clear indication how to order. So from what I have learned is if you're going for the hot pot, you basically tell him the flavor of the soup first, then you select the noodles, then the meat/seafood, then the vegetables. I didn't know the meat/seafood would come raw and you would have to cook it in the hot pot.... Plus whatever everyone orders basically comes in a huge tray to your table, and everyone puts the items in their own pot, so it's confusing knowing what noodles and vegetables are who's..... Then it was time to order the stuff for the bbq, steak, lamb, prawns, squid, chicken.... You get the point The waiter actually cooks everything while you're enjoy the hot pot, the thing that grossed me out is all the meat was on the same plate, so steak was touching chicken & lamb, and the juices were all together which completely grossed me out, every time I seen the blood on the bottom of the plate I gagged. So basically I only ate the hot pot and dumplings, I didn't cook anything in my hot pot, and I definitely didn't eat any of the meat, my husband tried the steak, and didn't care for it. So basically I've come to the conclusion that I rather not see my food cooked, rather it be prepared in the kitchen with me having no knowledge of what is going on. They also don't have a bar, only beer & wine.
