this is a review for the eat up food court downstairs of 99 ranch: if i’m being honest, you’re better off eating at new world mall or new york food court near skyview. the only good place here is the corner stall with the large images and has teal coloring. they do stir fry extremely well. the cakes from guo duo cake were DRY, and the people that work there lack basic hospitality fundamentals - someone else mentioned this in a review. even the dry mala fish hot pot tasted off lol laanke and herb nook both made very solid aromatic fruit teas. sushi & more didn’t tell us they ran out of squid and just gave us teriyaki chicken wings instead; wish they would’ve just mentioned it. their takoyaki didn’t come out hot it was lukewarm/cold. the handmade dumplings were okay, i’ve had better at the other food courts. facility is clean and new, but you are not missing much; wouldn’t return here.

Today I visited the newly opened food court under 99 Ranch Market in Flushing, and many of the shops were still not fully open yet. We decided to try Guo Duo Cake because their “solid-style Mango Pomelo Sago” has been trending online, so we wanted to check it out. When we arrived, they were still in the process of making desserts. There was a “buy three, get one free” sign, and we originally wanted to try their signature candied fruit skewers (Tanghulu) and tiramisu, but we were told that Tanghulu wouldn’t be available until next week, and the tiramisu wouldn’t be ready until the afternoon. Honestly, if a store says it opens at 11 AM, I would expect most of their main items to already be available. Having so many items unavailable at opening time was a bit disappointing. As for the solid Mango Pomelo Sago, it was basically a slice of mango topped with yogurt and a little bit of grapefruit, priced at $10. It wasn’t bad in taste, but for the portion and what it included, it felt very, very overpriced and not great value. Overall, this feels like a new shop that is still getting organized. The flavors are okay, but the pricing and readiness at opening need improvement. If the menu becomes more complete in the future, I would be willing to come back and try again.

I think it’s a much more decent Chinese supermarket in Flushing. Things look great here in general but some of the seafood are not that fresh.

Flushing Chinese supermarket has more challenging, a new one is open, and it is good for consumers. The market basically has every fresh fruits, meats, fishes and products. The floor is clean. And there are enough space for two to walk by. Also the price is reasonable. Now the food court is opened in the basement. There are about 15 food vendors.

The newly opened 99 Ranch Market in Flushing brings a much-needed upgrade to the neighborhood’s Asian grocery scene, offering a wide range of essentials, fresh produce, and specialty products you won’t always find in other local markets. While the store still has a few kinks to work through, it already shows strong potential and the attached food hall makes the visit even better. During my stop at the 99 Ranch Food Hall, I tried the river snail noodles, dumplings, and a couple of drinks, and everything hit the spot. The river snail noodles (螺蛳粉) were the highlight bold, fragrant, and authentically sour-savory with that signature funk that makes this Guangxi dish beloved. The broth had depth, the noodles were pleasantly bouncy, and the toppings added the perfect mix of crunch and heat. The dumplings were simple but comforting: tender wrappers, juicy filling, and great with chili oil and vinegar. The drinks were refreshing and not overly sweet, balancing out the richness of the meal. As for the market itself, the selection is solid. Everyday staples are well stocked, and there are plenty of unique items from different regions of Asia great for both discovering new favorites and finding familiar ingredients. Pricing sits comfortably in the middle: not the cheapest, but fair and competitive given the variety and convenience. There are, however, a few maintenance issues, including a ceiling leak on one of the floors. Staff are actively managing it and keeping the area dry, but it’s definitely something that should be resolved for long-term customer comfort. One of the biggest positives is the customer service. Cashiers were friendly, patient, and helpful something that truly stands out in a high-traffic area like Flushing. 99 Ranch Market and its food hall create a strong foundation for what could become a local favorite. With a few improvements, it has the potential to be one of the most reliable and enjoyable spots for Asian groceries and quick, flavorful bites in the neighborhood.

The food court beneath 99 Ranch Market is fantastic! Lots of tasty and unique options to try for an affordable price (most places there don't charge tax). Food tends to come out quickly as well! Being cleaner and less crowded, it's a great alternative to the nearby New World Market's food court!

They have variety products available. I love that they fried fish and you can choose the fish."BUT THE BIG DEAL IS THEIR LAYOUT" it sooooo hard to walk around especially at the vegetable and fruit zone. It's way too small, also all the worker have a very big card walking around because they need to work with it. I would only come back for the fish, I would say no for shopping. It's take me too long to walk around

I was visiting the area from out of state and was excited to see that 99 Ranch has opened here. However, I was vastly disappointed as the chain store is miles better in NJ. One male employee literally pushed my mom out of the way so he can just put some veggies in a bag (for himself or for another customer idk). The aisles are narrow and crowded due to purple preparing for new year. Why the rush and impatience? In another case, a female employee ran past us, grabbed the ladder that's in front and rushed right past us AGAIN in the narrow aisle that was blocked by unpacked boxes. She could have walked the other way, where there was no blockage or customers, but instead chose to walk in front of us, where there was no room! Not sure why the ladder was there in the first place, as it's a major safety hazard, especially during new year rush. There was an item we wanted with no price tag. We decided to buy it anyways, regardless of price. When we checked out, there was no barcode on the item. Usually, in this case, stores will give to customer for free. However, they sent someone to check, even though we told them no price. There were people behind us, and we didn't know how long it'd take, so we removed that item. Not sure how a store can operate, during one of the busiest times of year, with no prices marked, let alone no barcodes- this item shouldn't have been in the shelves then! Did you just open today?? Looking back, or was suspiciously (a lot) less busier than other supermarkets in the area 🤔. We have rewards membership, but no one asked to input our phone number to receive points. I've noticed multiple checkout lanes (3ish at entrance, 3 at exit); however, the space to queue is minimal. If 5+ people line up, they will literally be crowding the aisles, potentially preventing other customers from shopping. Produce: cheaper than Jmart but tbh not that fresh; great selection of mushrooms Fruits- also cheaper, small selection but you get the basics Snacks- only 2 aisles?!? Drinks- great selection of korean, chinese, and japanese drinks Compared to Edison and Hackensack, this store lacks space (duh, it's nyc), variety in produce, fruits, snacks, and customer service (basically nonexistent). The 3 stars is solely for its clean bathrooms (with numerous stalls). Actual store is pretty clean as well. Food court, downstairs, is small compared to new world.

Review for food court in the basement 1. About 14 stalls, similar to other food courts nearby but not impressed. 2. Most stalls serve spicy food. Their pictures literally have red soup everywhere. You can ASK for no spice but that makes the food plain (the worker literally said that when I asked). If the food itself can't stand out without spice covering it, it's not actually good imo. 3. There are 2 stalls with only drinks (which I feel basically makes this place 12 stalls) and 1 stall with freshly made desserts. 4. There are claw machines in the back behind the escalators. $1 per try for palm sized fluffy creatures. Recs for food court 1. When you ride down the escalator there is a stall to the right that serves a variety of food. They have pictures on the bottom half of their counter. I tried the 五香卷 or 五辣卷 or spicy meat balls/rolls. The inside was not spicy and it was mushy and soft (I can't tell if it's meat or vegetables). The outside was crunchy and had a little bit of spicy sauce. It was a spice level I could tolerate and a great clash of texture of taste. It was great but not outstanding, a great snack. 2. There is 1 stall that focuses on serving meat with rice and not just spicy noodles or fish. Their rice is the good old standard, like they cooked it with oil or something. Tastes great with the meat (they have a few choices of meat). You can ask for spice. They give a good Chinese take out taste, but they aren't outstanding. (Btw, not all Chinese take outs have the good oily rice sadly, so I like to note it when I come across it.) 3. The Chopin noodles stall's potato noodles are really bouncy and chewy (and also hard to break). The soup was really spicy for me (I have low tolerance for spice) but it did taste great with the noodles. Red flags for food court 1. When you ride down the escalator the first stall to your left has a large menu. I ordered the 酸菜鱼 and it was fine if it did not have SHORT, THIN fish BONES in it. They could've chosen a better fish with more noticeable bones if they don't have time to pick the bones out like come on. It also didn't have a lot of 酸菜 (a sour vegetable) which I feel literally makes this dish. It had other cheaper vegetables like cabbage and cucumber. The main highlight of this dish was supposed to be the soft texture of the fish clashing with the sour crunchy vegetables and added with a little bit of spice. It was not supposed to be 60% filler vegetables. The fish came in a plastic bowl with a small cup of rice (regular rice with no oil). I can't speak for their other dishes but I will not be trying their fish again.

Heard about the 99 Ranch that recently opened up. The market, itself was bright and clean and looked well stocked. Staff are in aisles restocking as well. I got some ramen, green tea, snacks and Yakult. There's sales throughout the store with yellow tags. No lines, plenty of registers. I did browse the food court, but had already eaten. It seems like it needs some work after reading other reviews. Would recommend for quick and easy shopping experience in the heart of Main.

ALRIGHT where do I even start? So this seems to be a new 99 Ranch Market location and I have to say I was so excited because it's a new addition to Main Street Flushing and u know it's exciting for everyone the people seem so excited u know? The grocery store is ok although a lot of the food products are expensive. But that's not the issue that I would like to explain to u guys. The biggest issue I have with it is the food court area. So I went there for lunch cuz there was a lot of hype for this and I thought it would be promising. I went to a noodle stall cuz that seems to be mainly all they sell in the food court area and so we got 2 orders of Lanzhou spicy noodles, some steamed dumplings, and a tea. The tea COSTED $11 WITH NO TOPPINGS OR ADD ONS FOR IT AND IT HAD SO MUCH ICE LIKE C'MON MAN!!! $11 FOR THAT??? The noodles were hand pulled but they were $15 each so we spent close to $40-$50 on this meal alone. Truly a sales, marketing, and promotional hoax!!! This is unreal!!! I've never seen such expensive prices from a food court before like that in all my years!!!

I was so excited for the food court to be opened at 99 ranch and I was so disappointed when I actually got the chance to try the items in it. I usually love food courts because of the variety of foods that they provide and not to say that there wasn't a variety but it was honestly pretty disappointing. The only items I enjoyed from what was ordered was the intestines which was done very well and this sweet and sour pork dish (not in the photos). Everything else to me just seemed over priced and half heartedly done. I also want to point out that I went on a weekend and even though there is quite a decent amount of seating, it was pretty empty.

Service: 4/5 Food: 3.7/5 Price: under $20 I saw a lot of hype for this food court + I'm a little disappointed. There's not much diversity in food options + simultaneously, I felt choice paralysis. Plenty of seating options + a good meeting point. One call out is that the menu photos for every place in this food court do not actually resemble the dishes you receive. I ended up choosing the vendor in the back right corner once you come down the escalator. They have a more limited menu compared to other stalls. What I Ordered: - Starched Pork Thin Rice Noodle Soup: light + pretty cleansing, I love a thin noodle

I went fairly early on a Friday in the new year so it wasn't that crowded. We started off downstairs at the Eat Up food court (restrooms are fantastic fyi). They also get a thumbs up for the free wifi and outlets and sleek modern look we had the following Laankee: I had the Peach Oolong Milk Tea with bubble and half sugar. It was ok. I should have gotten full sugar Sushi and More - Skipped the sushi and had the fried takoyaki and karaage - both were fried well and not overly battered Fried skewer - ordered the pork belly, lamb - We really enjoyed the lamb skewer, tender nice cumin flavor. The pork belly skewer was unforgetable. Bland and slightly chewy. Master Hong Noodle House: - went with the pork chive and shrimp dumplings. juicy decent flavor The grocery store I was excited since i've been to other 99 ranch locations in other parts of the country. The prices are ok (sale prices are competitive) in some areas and higher in others. It wasn't that crowded since we were there early I can see where it be a less than desirable experience when crowded as the aisles are narrow and it's a small market. But it's NY and if you can navigate the normal hellscape crowding that is a Trader Joes you can't argue the space here. Seafood and meat counter had a decent selection, and were clean. While I enjoyed shopping they didn't have all the items I needed.

If you know the layout when it was HK Supermarket - it's essentially the same. There's not much to say about the market itself. It's a very standard/typical Asian supermarket. . The aisles are kinda narrow, I wish it were more spacious so you're not like saying excuse me at every aisle you walk through, aside from the houseware stuff... . They do take your carts aside when you walk in which is a fantastic idea but it also causes to much blockage. . I'm really looking forward to the food court if anything. The market itself is a tad far from me to go grocery shopping.

I went during the first week. Located on Main st, about 2 blocks from the station. The food court was NOT open yet but store is narrow, somewhat disorganized for a new store, long cashier lines. No merch / minibags available. Prices seem OK but lots of competition. This would NOT be the first Asian supermarket I visit in Flushing given the unpleasant shopping experience. Plenty of security to stop shoplifting.

Enjoyed our visit here. Spent most of our time in the bustling food court. Had beef noodle soup and Lanzhou Liangpi noodles from Chopin. La Portena had a steamed fish, which was fresh and meaty, if not up to the level of a fine restaurant. Watched the demonstration of a tuna being butchered and bought some tuna loin. Shopped for a few items upstairs. Great prices on produce. Would agree that service is brusque.

Don't bother going into the supermarket if you are carrying items from another store. Upon entering, I was yelled at by a security guard and asked if the bag I was carrying contained items from outside the supermarket. When I confirmed that I had purchased groceries from another market, he said I had to leave my bag by the front door. The area by the front door is so chaotic, with people coming in and out of the store and others checking in and out their personal carts. I didn't feel comfortable leaving $50+ worth of groceries by the entrance, where someone could easily swipe it on their way out. Does 99 Ranch reimburse customers if their groceries get stolen? I highly doubt it. So I promptly left and took my business elsewhere. There are plenty of supermarkets in the area that don't have such a ridiculous policy.

Big grand opening at Flushing. The store is big. The prices are average. Some of Manager specials prices were high. A lot of the store employees were unsure of what to do. Some stood around doing nothing. No one took the carts away from check out. Raw meat sitting on top of basket. Shelves were empty. I understand it was a big grand opening but I went back on Monday and store employees looked unenthusiastic and shelves were still empty. I will give this store another chance but they have heavy competition. The food court is still in construction phase.

The food selection was fine. The aisles were extremely cramped and the downstairs food court isn't open yet. There were some good grand opening deals. But it as so crowded even at 6:30 pm that it was hard to maneuver around the store. The baskets with wheels are terrible and they drift everywhere. So it was very easy to run somebody over with your basket on wheels.

I'm not sure why people have such low reviews for a Chinese supermarket so I try to keep my expectations in check. Every space in New York City is going to be weird unless it's a standalone building so I'm not really understanding why people are complaining about narrow aisles or weird configurations. I found this supermarket to be clean also well organized, and have items that I can't find in other supermarkets. Their sale prices are very competitive and their produce, including their fruit looks fresh. It's good to have competition in this area as I find a lot of flushing supermarkets Don't always have everything that I need so I need to go to more than one location. This is definitely not going to be your Trader Joe's or even Aldi experience but for a Chinese supermarket - it meets expectations. I don't expect fine customer service - just people who do their jobs.

99 Ranch Market is just your typical Asian Market in Flushing and there are alot to choose from. Employees at the time I went were friendly and helpful. Store is clean and the clerks were stocking the shelves.

If I can give it zero stars, I would! Place is pure chaos and even their own damn employees don't know how to say "excuse me." I can't tell you how many time they rammed their trollies or pushed themselves into me to get past. USE YOUR WORDS! RUDE ASS PEOPLE! Plus, 1/3 of their items don't ring up correctly so check your receipts! You then need to stand on the customer service line to get it corrected. With all the Chinese grocery store options in the area, go elsewhere!

I ventured into 99 Ranch Market with the same hopeful optimism one reserves for a long-lost recipe rediscovered. What I found instead was a culinary crime scene. The produce section looked like it had survived a mild earthquake -- bok choy strewn like fallen soldiers, mangos with the texture of regret. I sought out the seafood, only to be met with the unmistakable aroma of existential dread. The live tanks were less 'fresh catch' and more 'dystopian aquarium.' And don't get me started on the aisles -- a labyrinth of expired sauces and unrecognizable snacks designed, perhaps, to test one's will to live. I left with a single instant ramen and a broken spirit. Two stars -- one for irony, one because I can't give zero.
