Great traditional food. My farther in law took me here. They have been going for over 30 years. Mostly the same staff. Could not recommend enough

Amazing food. Traditional and great quality. Ambience is old traditional as it should be. The place has an amazing line of famous visitors from the past like Antony Bourdain. Prices are very good for what you will eat. One of the hidden gems that only locals can tell you about it. PS I was late taking the photos so they are not as good. There was nothing left after a few minutes.

A Cozinha do Martino offers not only excellent food from the traditional Portuguese kitchen, but also exceptionally kind service. A true gem We will definitely return!

Stay away from this scammers. They asked me if I wanted the appetizers (picture below) and it costed 29 euros (17.5 the ham and cheese,6.5 euros olives, 5 euros bread), I wanted to come back here because I live in Porto and I liked the place, but this people probably thought that I am turist and played with the price. Not recommended at all, this guys deserve to not get people at all, I hope they bankrupt soon. I was planning also to bring my coworkers (portuguese people) to eat dinner here, but now this is not going to happen for sure.

The food here was nothing short of amazing. Highly recommend for tourists…feels a bit out of the way but man is it worth it!!! We recommend the tripe and veal but fair warning the portion sizes are very big!

Google
Excellent restaurant with an amazing signature dish: Tripas as called in the north, dobrada as called in the south. An absolute must - deliciously prepared. Good wine list too. Great and friendly service.

Yelp
I was not enthusiastic about ordering tripe and veal, but after reading all the reviews, it seems those two are must-orders. The reviews were right. Tripe: I don't like tripe, but this dish really elevates it to another level. So, so tender. The stew was pure comfort food. I loved the beans. The broth was so savory. Veal: The veal was crazy tender and bursting with flavor. The potatoes were thoroughly basted in the veal fat. The bottom was a bit too oily, but that's understandable. I liked the addition of the oranges for a splash of citrus to cut through the fat. Each dish came with a bowl of made from the dish. Both rice dishes were amazing, soaking in all the flavors from the dishes themselves. The cabbage was much appreciated since the food was so rich. Our server didn't speak too much English, but we managed to communicate anyways. He was awesome! So friendly and helpful even with the language barrier. The restaurant was almost entirely empty for dinner on a Thursday night. By the time we finished, one other party had shown up. I hope more people can come support them, as this is my favorite restaurant in Portugal!

Yelp
Ever since I saw Anthony Bourdain eat Tripas à moda do Porto here I had to try it. I love tripa. I grew up eating it the Italian way, but I'd never had it this way. It was delicious and it could feed a whole family. The portion was huge. The vino verde we had with it sent me into a vino verde craze too. The price is very reasonable and the food was excellent. The highlight of the meal may have been the waiter. He was the coolest guy ever. He took care of us like we were family. He told us about the time he waited on Bourdain and kept our glasses full. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
This place is truly Porto's secret. Only one word to describe the food and service....... wonderful!!! I highly recommended this place. If you can come here have the stripe or sardines!!!! The are the best dishes. And don't forget our beloved Anthony Bourdain loved this place. If anyone knows good food, it's Anthony.
