We arrived at the restaurant on a Friday evening, around 6:00pm. There was no wait time, but things did get busier after ~6:30pm, maybe we got lucky :D. The restaurant felt spacious, great service! There are two bathrooms, mildly clean. Definitely would go again! We ordered 4 items:
1. Tteok-bukki:
The tteok-bukki was very flavorful, had great spice (not too spicy, as a person with a spice sensitive partner, he was able to eat this with ease). There was good umami flavor to the dish! The rice cake was cooked to perfection, chewy but not soggy. My only complaint would be the ratio of rice cakes to veggies, I felt that there were too little rice cakes for the amount of veggies that was in the dish.
2. Bulgogi:
The bulgogi comes with a little pot of rice, perfect for sharing! If you're looking to share with about 3 people, this should do. The pieces of meat are on the smaller side, but meat melts in your mouth and the portions are quite large. It was not overly sweet, which I liked! Often times, I think bulgogi is to sweet at some restaurants so this had the perfect balance. Came with onions too.
3. Spicy cold wheat noodles:
This was my favorite dish! We came on a hot day, so this was well worth it. The combination of the coldness, chewiness, and that authentic Korean red pepper flavor makes for the perfect dish on a hot day!
4. Kimchi fried rice with bulgogi (I totally forgot to take a picture b/c it was so good!):
The kimchi fried rice pulled the whole meal together. I loved that they used older fermented kimchi (at least I think they did). I find that sometimes kimchi fried rice does not have that kimchi flavor due to using newly made kimchi or not enough. This kimchi fried rice was acidic and you get that kimchi flavor! Bulgogi was the same as the bulgogi on the hot plate, added a good mild touch of sweetest.
Parking:
Parking is good! There is underground parking behind the building, and also free.
