Elevated Mexican specialties & cocktails; tuna tostadas & duck mole

"A Tí made such a strong impression on Echo Park as a pop-up that this creative Mexican bar food spot decided to stick around for good. The menu is small in size but big in flavor, with a few tacos on blue corn tortillas like al pastor with cinnamon-y pickled pineapple, and larger plates like duck confit with a smoky-sweet date mole aged for 500 days (!). Add a few ume palomas on the patio and you’ve got the makings of a great place to start—or finish—a night out on Sunset." - brant cox, sylvio martins
"The only time A Tí stressed us out was when we didn’t know if this excellent Mexican bar food pop-up in Echo Park was going to stick around. As far as we know, it’s here to stay, which is great news for anyone into thirst-quenching cocktails and creative antojitos like “cool ranch” chicharrones. A Tí’s bar seats are always open for walk-ins, and there’s almost always seats open at the bar or patio. So, for a go-with-the-flow evening of lemony tuna tostadas and al pastor tacos with pickled pineapple, look no further." - sylvio martins, brant cox, garrett snyder, cathy park
"Kushiba's run was short-lived, but in its place, Echo Park now has a fun replacement in A Tí, a pop-up serving Mexican bar food from a Bestia alum that’s slated to run through at least the end of the year. The decor is minimal and the menu is short—a few small plates, four tacos on blue corn tortillas, a plate of duck mole—but every dish we’ve tried pops with flavor, like a suave tuna tostada with lemon aioli and fragrant salsa macha and crispy, juice-dripping shredded beef tacos with shredded cheddar that taste like sexy Tito’s Tacos. Add in ume palomas and tomato dashi micheladas and you’ve got the makings of a great place to start (or finish) a night out on Sunset." - sylvio martins
"If you think about it, double dates are still dates (in a weird way). So, if things go well—i.e., you and the couple that just moved in next door “have chemistry”—A Tí gives you plenty of reasons to prolong your plans. This Mexican bar food spot puts a creative spin on every small plate and cocktail on its short menu, so it’s perfect for a night with let’s-order-another-round energy. Show up for salted ume palomas, and stay for various tuna tostadas and juicy al pastor tacos with pickled pineapple." - sylvio martins
"A modern taqueria from former Bestia chef Andrew Ponce replaced the fried Osaka‑style skewer spot in late September 2024 after the previous concept closed and flipped into this new operation." - Eater Staff
