09 July 2024 One of the restaurants that must visit while in Tainan. Specialize in milkfish. Pork rice is just normal taste. Their braised tofu and egg are good. And they have garlic rice that I forgot to take a picture of it, it is very popular in this restaurant. But I prefer the white rice. But then, I think you should give it a try while you're here. The star here is the milkfish. I love it both ways, soup or fry, superb. Arriving at 8.30 or 9.00 in the morning, hoping could try their fried fish skin or fried fish maw. But I had forgotten which one is that, sold out. I think you should come really early, like be the first customer to try that 😂 Service is surprisingly good. I mean it's a small restaurant, how good can it be. But the lady boss was very nice, take time to take our order cause my chinese is pretty bad, english communication is a bit hard. Will be back if happens to be in Tainan

Omg I walked 30 minutes in the heat from the train station and it was so worth it! I never like fish balls but they were so sweet here I loved them! Fried fish wasn’t too fishy or greasy, perfect. Veggies and garlic rice also delicious. Super friendly service despite the long lines and many people. Highly recommend! Initially ordered just the soup and ended up ordering many more items because so good! Even their tea egg is mysteriously delicious and fragrant. Ended up getting the fried fish, vegetables, tea egg, garlic rice, fish soup!! Ate it all 😍 Might go again tomorrow!! Largely full of locals when I went.

Went by on Sunday but didn’t know they were not open (have since edited hours on google). Local fish is lovely. Fried and soup both taste great and cooked well! Staff absolutely lovely and up for a chat. Fish maw was sold out so fish meat it is. Didn’t have stomach space or I’d have tried the garlic rice as many others have recommended.

This is a favorite breakfast restaurant for the locals that has exceeded all our expectations. The fish and fish ball soup needed no additional spices. The taste was so yummy. The fried fish fillet and garlic rice were also our favorites. The restaurant usually sold out before its closing time, so you have to get there early. You will also love the very reasonable price.

Hehe we over ordered and ended up with a whole table load of fish, rice and noodles but still ended up finishing and sapu habis everything. That's how good the food is

I came here looking to try their garlic rice and fried fish intestines.... Missed out on the intestines as they are usually sold out by noon. fortunately got to taste garlic rice for the first time and as with most great food it's the simple things that taste the best. If you like garlic definitely a must try. The fried milkfish belly was well done too with a light frying technique.

All small sized featured in photo. - 2x mee sua - garlic rice - Lu rou fan - fish beancurd - fishball soup - pan fried fish Love the mee sua and pan fried fish the most. Fish is crispy but not overly oily. Noodles were coated in braised sauce and fragrant oil. Yums

Easy to find the small restaurant. They speak Chinese but there is an English menu. Went here for breakfast and try the special dish of milkfish. Actually the taste is not mine but so many fish in a bowl. The staffs are friendly. I will come back next time. You will eat on the pavement, in front of the closed shop doors. Stop here on the way to Anping Tree House and Anping Old Town
