Aamanns Genbo

I went for a late lunch with a friend who wanted me to be able to try the Danish delicacy of smørrebrod. As I am a vegetarian, he wanted to take me somewhere where I would have some options. We opted for the tasting menu, so I got to try four different smørrebrod and a delicious dessert. The restaurant was relaxed and servers were friendly. The food was really unique and delicious - and very filling! Definitely a great experience and a special occasion - I'd love to visit again.

Great and cozy restaurant! Perfect to sit outside on a warm summer evening. The vegetarian options were delicious. The Grapefruit mocktail was very tasty.

We had a very nice danish evening x-mas dinner with beer and aquavite. Best dishes were stratciatelle with pumpkin, beet salad, pork steak, grilled mushrooms and rice a la monde. All sauses were good as well.

An Unexpected Evening at Aamanns Genbo We had high expectations when we pre-ordered a vegetarian tasting menu at Aamanns Genbo. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to those expectations. The starter, a croquette, had a strange doughy texture that left us a bit puzzled. The main course, consisting of tartlets with salad, was unfortunately heavy with a wet, soggy crust. The entire main course was smothered in grated cheese and so salty that some components almost burned in the mouth. The dessert was okay, but unfortunately, not enough to elevate the meal. On the positive side, the service was top-notch. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, which certainly lifted our experience. As an additional gesture, they gave us a free cafe latte as compensation for the food. All in all, Aamanns Genbo is not a place I can recommend for the food. However, if you’re looking for a drink and good service, it might be worth a visit.

🫦🫦🫦 food guaranteed to make ur bite your lips like fr its SO GOOOD. I salivate at the thought of their starters 🤤🤤😋. 1000% recommend the tartare, croquettes, and gazpacho. Mains were really good too, but smörrebröd were aite.

This was our first time enjoying smørrebrød and we were not disappointed - they were amazing, like little works of art! North Sea Cheese (in the background) was so simple with just cheese, marmelade and nuts, but the flavour balance was absolutely perfect. I'd like to have one of those every day.
