"Yes, Aba can be kind of a scene. Thankfully it’s one with great food and a huge rooftop patio full of firepits and comfortable couches. And as with its sister restaurant Ema, a lot of things (like the hummuses and spreads) on the Mediterranean menu are meant to be shared." - adrian kane, veda kilaru

"Aba is a full-on scene. The West Loop spot has Mediterranean food, Corvettes at the valet, and prospective cast members of The Real Housewives of Schaumburg. But the rooftop is why you’ll want to push your way past clouds of Le Labo. Its view of the skyline will make you appreciate Chicago’s aversion to having too many skyscrapers, and help you forget about the delivery robots taking over down below." - nick allen, john ringor
"Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises’ Aba serves as the counterpart to Ēma, both of which are helmed by chef C.J. Jacobson and explore the flavors of the Mediterranean. Aba spans 4,000 square feet, including a lush rooftop patio stamped with greenery and killer views, all the better to enjoy both boozy and zero-proof cocktails. Make a reservation through OpenTable." - Ashok Selvam
"Aba’s massive plant-filled space, huge rooftop patio, and unexplainable ability to make anyone eating there look like a movie star naturally lends itself to being one of the buzziest restaurants in the city. This West Loop spot is definitely a scene, so it’s often crowded, but assuming you’re able to grab a table with some friends or a solo bar seat, you’re in for some delicious food. The housemade pita is delicious and luckily comes with most dishes—the smoky kebabs, lamb chops, and our favorite, the crispy short rib hummus. The creamy dip comes with a buttery poached egg and is luckily around for both breakfast and lunch." - john ringor, adrian kane, veda kilaru
