Could Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood Save ‘The Great American Baking Show’? | Eater

"Reportedly exploring a high-profile judge reunion from the original British series to revive a struggling U.S. baking competition; the network president is said to believe the duo could be persuaded 'depending on schedule.' The network has previously brought in one of the British judges and added a popular host for Season 3, but that season was pulled after one night following breaking sexual-misconduct allegations against a co-host." - Greg Morabito

Their meteorologist Brianna Ruffalo is a goddess…

Google
Shame on you for starting that video late. You failed to show the cop smashing that lady's face into the concrete. I'm so glad we do not watch your filth

Michael Vargo

Google
Called to ask if they would like to cover my story of me helping someone that was stuck in the water in Huntington Beach. They said murders happen every day and depending on the day, news gets to choose what's covered. Said they speak with lifeguards and police so not sure why they would not cover this story, but the public should be informed that depending on the day, news gets to choose what's covered.

Yelp
My review got deleted last year by yelp. I posted how uncomfortable and unprofessional Leslie Lopez the morning weather reporter dressed. I'm not sure why yelp feels like it wasn't my first hand experience when it's on live televised news that I'm watching on my own television. I also noticed, I wasn't the only person who got their negative reviews deleted. I remember this other review regarding the morning weather girls dressing like they are going to a cocktail party. I also remember a review about Leslie Lopez talking to fast and off topic a lot. What happened to all the negative reviews on yelp?
google avatar

Kj D.

Yelp
Brianna Ruffalo is the worst meteorologist ever. You can NEVER see the 7 day forecast because she's Always standing in the middle of the screen. No one cares about their outfits Do better KABC.

Tony V.

Yelp
Could someone at ABC7 tell Weather Reporter Danny Romero to tone it down with his presentations. His "fast speak" is most obnoxious and unpleasant to listen too. Also he is a lazy weather reporter, repeating the same phrases for each area weather temperature slide. Please put him back to traffic reporting.

Somis D.

Yelp
Why can't they seem to get the SOUND correct when they switch to GMA??? It is like we are in a 3rd world country

Morgan C.

Yelp
Kristi Noem DHS ads on during news hour praising DJT. I immediately switched to another channel, then gave feedback via their email link. Three days in a row. Boycott til the ads are removed!

Jan B.

Yelp
I see you are calling Danny Romer a meteorologist. His bio does not qualify him as a meteorologist! Please DO NOT equate him with Dallas, and DO NOT replace Dallis with Danny. There are several weather reports out there who are much more pleasant to listen to, and a couple seem quite knowledgeable about the weather.
google avatar

Katy J.

Yelp
Absolutely love this morning weather forecaster... She's real, authentic and great at her job and makes me smile. I tune in just for her! She is amazing! Keep your forecasters real and your audience

Yelp
I didn't think ABC 7 news was as tainted as some of the other news that's available until today. They reported that gasoline is more expensive because oil is more expensive and the more expensive summer blend is now expensive. Really? Good investigation. Maybe it has something to do with our puppet President shutting down our pipelines and buying oil from other countries at a higher rate. They say the same thing every year when gas goes up but why is it so much higher this time? That's the question.

Sam H.

Yelp
I really enjoy ABC 7 news. The 11 o'clock news normally only use one anchor person. I can stay focus listening to one person broadcasting the news. Other channels always have too many news casters. Sometimes they try to compete who can read the news first. Keep up the good work. ABC7 Team

Yelp
Watching the news in TV is a rather rare pleasure for me. Mostly early weekend mornings and maybe early evening. When I do, I tend to gravitate toward Channel 7. Love the style - direct, professionally presented, and a pace I can absorb. Some would say slow and boring but I like it. The news tends to be factually reported with what I believe to be little speculation. I seldom see the Channel 7 reports being "walked back" due to factual errors, and often see them expanded to add new information. And then there are the news readers and reporters... very "approachable". Especially love the news team of Dick Gregory and Annabelle Munoz. But let's not forget Johanna Lara... Things I don't like, which may not be unique to Channel 7... the abuse of the term "Breaking News" as a sound bite rather than an alert that some news just broke... and the weather girls who really strain to make our boring weather sound exciting. But overall... an excellent news presentation.

Ant V.

Yelp
Weather reporting is like watching a "Flash Card" presentation - now you see it/now you don't. "Here we Go- Danny Romero" is a total "Joke". His definition of presenting the weather is to use "Motor Mouth" fast speak, saying the same thing over and over for each weather area slide. That and his wanna-be Dallas Raines hair make him a most obnoxious fellow to watch.

Yelp
ABC7 disgusts me! What that station did was to cut out a majority section of the Republican National Convention... According to YouTube, the RNC was supposed to be 2.5 hours, but only 1 hr was broadcast.... Compare that to the 2.5 hour broadcast that ABC7 gave to the DNC last week... This is what Trump means when he says "Fake News". This is an example of ABC7 modifying and editing actual news content, to favor the Democratic Party and the Left, hoping to mold the audience into favoring Beijing Biden. ABC7 just lost a viewer, because it delivered fake and altered news....

Yelp
Channel 7 has gotten so bad that you cannot even believe the weather reports. STORM WATCH !! All for .10" of rain. Also they've removed all the comment section as most of the comments were critical. I've given up on broadcast TV but even online Channel 7 is bad.
google avatar

Sergio D.

Yelp
This is a channel I watch when I have no other option. I watch this channel to watch the news and I am seeing people dance in their front yards and I'm supposed to look at it and laugh I get it but it's not funny I'm trying to watch the news. Instead I'm looking at small clips from people sending them to the channel and the channel post them out of sympathy or who knows what? Just stick to the news.
google avatar

Brendan M.

Yelp
This news station is horrible. They are completely wrong on how they present their view of news. Channel 7 reports their views and not facts. Seek out other real news sources.
google avatar

Russell W.

Yelp
Geezus when is Miriam Hernandez gonna retire? Seriously, she struggles through her reports and shows signs of her age which is far too old nowadays for TV News ! Put her out to pasture already!

Frank S.

Yelp
Can someone please show Ellen Leyva how to read a teleprompter? It is so frustrating listing to her stumbling over words while trying to narrate a story. One of the reasons I stopped watching.
google avatar

Celine L.

Yelp
A lot of the reviews are based on their opinion of the news channel, but not of the actual station itself. So... insight time. As an intern who has been here a couple of months, the people I have worked with are extremely genuine and hardworking- I see the news department on the first floor up and about all hours of the day, and it is crazy down there 24/7. The amount of traffic they hold is amazing- and I'm so glad I'm not in news! There are many other departments here- finance, sales, news, public affairs, engineering, and more. The studio itself is massive and beautiful; the CEO said that back in the day, KABC7 used to be scattered several blocks around Glendale, and it was a giant struggle going back and forth to everyone. The buildings were run down and had bugs around the wall, so I am super glad to be working in this beautiful building. The studio does give tours to people who are interested in the news industry or want to learn more. They also have two giant studio spaces- one that can be rented out for events. Overall, I'm glad I got to spend a few months here- I've learned so much and I've met so many great people here. We do try our best to answer all the questions and concerns people may have, so try not to get angry and go off on a rant at us! I've had to sit through a few of that.. and let me tell you- that was not fun. Thanks KABC7 for a great few months!

M C.

Yelp
I'm here to complain about abc7.com. This website will take over your phone with ads and probably gathering information. Does not run right, freezes up constantly as it tries to load ads, half the pages aren't showing, it forces you to try to watch videos and commercials, it cranks up the volume on your phone automatically, the next time you go to anything with sound, you will be embarrassed by this. It honestly takes possession of your phone. So arrogant.
google avatar

Yelp
KABC is located at 500 circle seven dr, Glendale, CA. The speed limit beyond the guard gate is 10mph. If your entering on a bicycle, be sure not to be standing on the handlebars and as a reminder, wear your safety helmet. -Cheers-

Yelp
Watching the news today local news about 11:45 or so in the story comes on about John Legend learning how to swim you are a news program not Entertainment Tonight will you please stop the crap and start actually putting news on

Xavier M.

Yelp
Dishonest news by dishonest anchors. Obviously bias reporting and disrespectful of certain groups of people.

Yelp
Hello Anabel. Found a demo reel of you on You tube. You HAD such a great voice back then??? Why can't you continue in that same manner and not try so hard to force your voice into someone you're not at ABC7. Shame on whoever decided to re-brand, and/or re-create you into someone else. You have great skills and great looks but unfortunately NOT a great voice (on ABC7 News). Please go back to what 'is real' and got you to where you're at in your career. If channel 7 doesn't like it, there are plenty of other news broadcasters throughout this nation of our that would be proud to have the newscaster I've seen on this demo reel. P.S. You sound great in Spanish as well. Best of luck! and NEVER CHANGE 'what works best (to YOU)'.

Yelp
My favorite news channel...,!!!!!! Love David Ono & Ellen Leyva.... seems like they have a good chemistry... they are very professional, but also show their emotional side at times, they are down to earth people. Love you guys!!!! Also love you too Dallas!!! Congratulations to Dallas Raines on his 35 th year at KABC Channel 7 Eyewitness News in Los Angeles!!!! I always love to watch this station & Dallas always has the best weather report!!! He has a lot of finesse & charm but really knows his stuff!!!! Congrats again Dallas !!! Love ya !!!!

Yelp
I live in Wrightwood and it just started snowing/raining? There's not as much as the weather man makes it sound like!

Yelp
You get a 1 star from me cuz there is no -0- Now Garth is gone your idiots to let that happen. You just lost a tremendous asset !!! Oh the BREAKING NEWS thing!!! omg okay Breaking news now were going to a commercial bull crap sooooo tired of that phrase. Have been looking at other news but now I am gone ! This station is no longer cool has not been for awhile. Now for sure they are not !

Yelp
It's difficult to review TV stations and especially news bureaus in L.A. because they're all so awful. All of them. Without exception. There used to be exceptions, but now the news at every station is basically identical. In case you hadn't noticed this, the fact that the anchors often go from one station to another (rather than going to a completely different market, as usually happens in other cities) drives the point home. I like some of the personalities on Channel 7's news, but that's only because they're familiar to me. The one African-American weekend guy seems pleasant enough, and Dallas Raines is a ridiculous weatherman because he's got a variation of the word "rain" in his name and because he does tanning even though he lives in L.A. And he's always done it. I used to like and sorta trust Paul Moyer, but he reminds me of a bunch of Bay Area anchors, and they're pretty much awful too, so I don't really like him anymore. (Honestly, I used to like how he seemed kind of humble, but now I see that that's an act.) So one star for you, and thanks for being one of the leaders in ruining newsgathering and -reporting in Los Angeles.
google avatar

Ira G.

Yelp
I've never particularly been an Eyewitness News fan, I was more a KNBC person. I wasn't really a Garth Kemp fan either. But the guy pitched pet adoption and filled buses with toys and showed real enthusiasm and sincere dedication to those causes, so he gets a thumbs up from me for that. I'm giving three stars because ALL local news is awful. There isn't any journalism there. Stories are clipped, often misread, and too often, things are stated as fact that are just "old spouse's tales". For instance, often when discussing earthquakes, someone will say they were going to stand under a doorway, and that is outdated advice.
google avatar

Yelp
We are leaving ABC7 news. I just can't take the ridiculous banter between Philip and Leslie in the mornings anymore we will be trying other news channels looking for someone who's actually interested in giving the news and not screeching and goofing off with one another. It's too bad really, we have been loyal viewers for many many years but the constant ridiculous joking between Leslie and Philip is not news. They tend to go down rabbit holes and nobody cares to bring them back to giving the news to the viewers. People don't wake up in the morning and turn on the news to be a viewer of a personal conversation and internal joking, we turn on the news to see valid and accurate details of what's happening locally. Professionalism is what needs to be inserted in this news broadcast. Philip and Leslie should watch good morning America; they will see that while the journalists insert their personalities they are quickly brought back to center by George and the news broadcast continues. That is an excellent example of what a good news broadcast is like. I do not recommend this is program for viewers who are interested in finding out what's going on in the community in the mornings.

Yelp
Local news is fine, but the world nightly news with David Muir should be renamed "nightly news with Tom Yamitz" since David Muir is MIA most of the time. Maybe he should be a Field reporter rather than a news anchor, just my opinion.
google avatar

Emma S.

Yelp
Had the wonderful opportunity to tour ABC7 Eyewitness news this past week. The people there are all very wonderful and kind. Loved getting a chance to see what goes into making news happen!

Yelp
I am riveted to ABC 7 News. I love Micah Ohlman, the exciting, forthright heir apparent to Paul Moyer. And Leo Stallworth, a man's man reporter. The old and venerable Bob Banfield, the Inland Empire reporter. George Penachhio, the dapper entertainment guy. And then there's the beautiful Leslie Miller, Lisa Hernandez and meteorologist Indra Pettersons....all of which I love so much with my heart. But the holiest of holiest is Dallas Raines. He made the salt and pepper hair color cool before Clooney. The suits, the tan, the patented "Dallas" crouch (which Danny Romero copies) and the hair. I swear to the Almightys that I want to be like him. Not in the future but now!!! Other notes: Rob Fukusaki, awesome but try a different hairstyle. Michelle Tuzee, can you put your hair in a ponytail just once. I think you're awesome and so beautiful. You've had the same hairstyle for the longest time. David Ono, always doing something manly, keep it up. Ellen Leyva, always cute...dye your hair red. Try it. Last, my only pet peeve, and stress the word "pet". Garth Kemp, meteorologist. Great voice and very friendly. But when you do the segment about the dog adoption from the pound. And when they wheel the dog out into the studio and in front of the camera. Puleeze stop making out with the dog. We all know you love dogs, especially rescued dogs. Hell I love dogs too! But stop mounting them when you're on camera. Good Lord, love is love....but sometimes there's "wrong love". I love ABC 7!!!
google avatar

Yelp
I like abc news I wish they get more involved locally with the community.the little people need a voice
google avatar

Georgie C.

Yelp
They used to be my favorite news website. Now they are the worst in the world! !! I mean really?? is the station not generating enough revenue without slamming us with not one but 2 adds on a page. Then a 3rd if you want to check a video on the story. Then after enduring the painful wait for it to finish. The ad still picture stays on the screen. You can hear the audio of the video. But not the picture. Poking my eye with a hot poker is more fun than trying to read news on their site!!! ABC straighten out your technical problems. And drop the ads

Larry B.

Yelp
For the last few months I think the whole morning program has gone downhill. No interviewing skills by both anchors makes most interviews very boring. While Alex Chaney does talk a little fast, he has talent and should became great asset. Weather reporting will improve when Lesily returns. Just too much tehe tehe between the two anchors.
google avatar

Cole D.

Yelp
Okay Dallas... Is it Santana or is it Santa Anna because you change the word constantly through out your newscast... In fact we have a drinking game on whether it's Santana or Santa Anna depending on what you're going to say at any given moment. So which is it... Could you please explain on air what you're talking about? And George P. tonight you just said that one of the Academy Award nominees is heading back to Broadway to perform her role as Sally Bowles in Chicago... Just a reminder... Sally Bowles is in The musical Cabaret.

Dan M.

Yelp
Please get rid of that Alex Cheney the weekend weather forecaster. That guy talks like a mile a minute, I have to mute the volume and just watch the temps pop up. It is exhausting trying to listen to this guy. And what is it with ABC and hiring so many Hispanics.
google avatar

Peat B.

Yelp
I've always dug KABC 7 news. My favorite person ever on this was Laura Diaz. Tuzee is wonderful, but Lisa McRee was cool because she was kinda goofy (blond).

Roy W.

Yelp
It was totally inappropriate for Marc Cora-Robles to ask a student from the high school in Santa clarity if she knew who the dead student was! That was unconscionable! She was a child herself reeling and suffering from a horrible situation. You are an adult who should know better! Terrible coverage.
google avatar

Jim T.

Yelp
Certainly enjoy the Eyewitness News. However, I simply give a ride here on occasion.
google avatar

Adriana Q.

Yelp
I have been watching this channel for many years and will continue. Some of the previous remarks are simply ridiculous and mean. You don't like something.. change the channel... duh!

Melissa M.

Yelp
I have always loved ch 7 news during the day to keep me informed. Lately it has gone down hill with Leslie Sykes and Phillip and their ridiculous inappropriate laughing and recent eye rolling, but today during that poor kid who hung on for 49 days at seas article took the cake. Do something about her professionalism or I will have to change news stations for good. Is she drunk? Or on drugs?

Tom W.

Yelp
Chanel 7 evening news stinks. They should change the name to Chanel 7 commercials and weather. there is very little news.how mane times can you watch the weather?

Sheryl S.

Yelp
Jonathan Novak is absolutely the WORST. He hems and haws, and seems so horribly uncomfortable on screen. How does this guy have trouble reading the ever boring California weather, it's not challenging. When he is on screen, I mute the volume. Is this the best KABC can offer?

Jane Marie S.

Yelp
Please stop embarrassing your reputation by letting Chelsea Mcdonald do sports. She clearly reads it out loud. She sounds like a moron. She has no personality at all. She must be a family member of one of the producers, I work in a restaurant/ bar, at least 40 to 70 people a day watch the news at noon or 6. Almost all commment on how bad she is. It's that obvious!and there are different people daily. She sounds like a robot.

Yelp
Dear Channel 7 KABC news, I used to want to spend time with you everyday, but there's something I need to tell you. I'm seeing KCBS -----just for her weather. And I might move in. This may seem trivial, but please let an ABC "suit" with some power fix it because it's driving me nuts and I know I'm not alone. The problem is your so-called "Live MEGA-doppler 7000 HD". The name means nothing to most of your viewers; they have no clue what Doppler is. Nobody watches your weather because they think they are getting superior weather information from your "Live MEGA-doppler 7000 HD" -I promise. And I also promise that nobody gets a rush or brags to their friends because they watch the channel that features "Live MEGA-doppler 7000 HD". Honestly, "Live MEGA-doppler 7000 HD" is an obnoxious name given to unspecial radar. You obviously force all anchors to recite that entire, cumbersome, clumsy eleven-syllable term EVERY SINGLE time they refer to it on air. Sometimes they stumble on it and I want to reach through the TV, pat them on the back and say, "It's okay. I know they make you say it." Is "Live MEGA-doppler 7000 HD" the gaudiest name that you could come up with to spice up your weather segment? See how my repeating the phrase "Live MEGA-doppler 7000 HD" is beginning to grate on your nerves? Do you want to twist lemon reamers into both your ears really hard until I stop saying it? Is "Live MEGA-doppler 7000 HD" an "exclusive" branding gimmick that's really working for you? It is annoying to hear "Live MEGA-doppler 7000 HD" repeated to absurdity during your weather segment -sorry. Fail. Oh, and another thing. The graphics on your "Live MEGA-doppler 7000 HD" are no better than any other station's weather radar imagery. In fact, "Live MEGA-doppler 7000 HD's" clunky green and yellow blotches are worse. The fancy name is full of technologic promise but then delivers mediocre visuals -like a beautiful wrapper with an underwhelming gift inside. And "Live MEGA-doppler 7000 HD's" multiple radar arms do nothing except flash and sweep and make the weather look complicated. In fact, your "Live MEGA-doppler 7000 HD" is so filled with useless movement and flashing that "Live MEGA-doppler 7000 HD" graphics may cause seizures in some of your prone viewers. Why not just call it "our satellite shot", show us some real time-lapse imagery so we can take a guess whether the thicker clouds over the ocean are gonna pass over us or not? You'd have time to fit in another segment if you didn't force your people to say "Live MEGA-doppler 7000 HD" again and again and again.... KCBS is almost unbearable to watch for other reasons. But at least they don't call it "Live MEGA-doppler 7000 HD". They just call it "radar". Say it with me: Radar. See? Easy. Now say "Live MEGA-doppler 7000 HD" Now see that? Aren't you tired? That's what I'm saying. The only reason why I watch your broadcast is because the quality of your hi-def picture in your other segments is superior to CBS, NBC and any local news to date. When their picture technology catches up, I'm watching them so I don't have to hear the asinine term, "Live MEGA-doppler 7000 HD". Here's one more for the road: "Live MEGA-doppler 7000 HD"

Yelp
I have been watching Eyewitness new since Dr. George was on TV and that's a very long time ago. Whatever the problem was the BIG and Powerful Disney should have stepped in and fixed the problem instead of letting Garth walk. No more big elf to stuff a bus or to find homes for all those lonely pets. I feel sorry for the guy who will step in to try to replace him for the stuff a bus campaign he got BIG shoes to fill. I know Garth will land somewhere. I know there is a lot of people who miss him already. Too bad Mickey and his friends let him go. I will be watching my news elsewhere.

Yelp
Update: I just found out Garth Kemp is no longer working for KABC and I was SHOCKED! ABC, shame on yourselves, you couldn't have picked a more sensitive, caring, humanitarian to part ways with. So what he made a comment about West and Kardashian, he's right, he has no talent, West is dog poo poo. He doesn't have any talent. How can you fire a guy that fills buses with toys for underprivileged children, goes to bat for people in need, and goes above and beyond the call for "public service". Come on, the guys worked there for 17 years, even IF he was wrong in his comment, don't fire the guy, what's the matter with you people, is that ALL you care about, your high power cookie cutter jobs and God forbid someone says 1 thing out of line, we're all human, not the corporate robots you would conceive us to be Disney! Just to let you people in on something that happened to me when I met Garth at a Stuff a Bus toy raiser a couple of years ago, I didn't really have the money as I am on a fixed income with my girlfriend, I gave Garth 2 20 dollar bills and told him, "you know we really can't afford $40, but we realize other people are in need of the money more than us" to Garth and you know what he told us, "you know what, take one $20 bill back, I can see you need it too, we'll just take one $20, that's fine" For all of you who knew Garth off camera, he was more than just a weatherman, he was a kind caring gentlemen. Now I have no where to go during the Spark of Love Stuff a Bus toy drive. GARTH, COME BACK, WE MISS YOU :-( I have mixed reviews about this station. Garth Kemp use to work at a station where I lived in NY around my neighborhood (the station at. 103.5 that uplinked the show "Rockline" where people use to call in and request songs). He's THE man when it comes to weather. Professional, yet personal and not "in your face" weathercasting and makes the weather interesting and not boring. Makes his viewers feel welcome at all times. When I watch the news, I feel I'm part of their family. ABC in itself is the branded "sugar coated" company. Being owned by Disney most all programming 90% or more is "candy cane" safe, "except Kimmel, of course". The problem is their sponsors. 7 out of 10 commercials is a car commercial, not only that, but they insult your intelligence. I see the same commercials sometimes as many as 10 times a day! Between that and the pharmaceutical commercials I've practically worn out my mute button! Rubber stamped commercials, and shows like "The Goldberg's" make me ashamed to be Jewish and keep me from watching ABC more than just the news most of the time. All I have to say is thank heaven we have cable!
