"Abdallah’s Bakery only gets a quick feature in Mo, but it’s worth noting that this family-owned Lebanese bakery has been around for more than four decades, serving up shawarma, falafel sandwiches, spinach pies, baklava, and more. Be sure to try the housemade hummus, which is made with the family’s olive oil, and its signature mint tea." - Brittany Britto Garley

Hands down, Best Mediterranean food. If you are familiar with this type of food, it’s the best place to eat and enjoy the authentic taste. It tastes like mom foods back home. If you haven’t tried Mediterranean yet, it’s the best place to go. There is a bakery, where you can enjoy fresh pita bread out of the oven and much more, deli, and full kitchen filled with varieties. On top of that, the owner and his team are nice and welcoming. The owner took his time showing my kids and patiently explained about the food helping them make their choices. They wiped their plates. Highly recommended!!

Google
New place is called Sammy's. They changed from Abdullah Bakery. Lovely food and atmosphere and owners. Made me feel right at home.

Google
Abdullah’s has tons of options and delicious food. The pizza on the hand made bread was the standout for me. Lots of cheese and great flavor. The chicken shawarma was good and the sides were ok too. I came in for a late lunch so I did not get the freshest. The hummus was very good. I wish I had a chance to try the hot sauce, but they forgot it.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Abdallah's Lebanese Restaurant & Bakery and I'm so glad that I did. The food was amazing, so fresh and flavorful. Not only that, they also have a small grocery store where you can buy Middle Eastern ingredients to recreate your favorite dishes. And their coffee was really good too!

Google
Love, love, love this place. The owners are so nice and love the Grandmother's Olive Oil she bottles, tastes delicious. Great specials everyday. Lamp, kibbee, rice, lentils, hummus, cauliflower, babbaganoush, tabouleh, and pita bread are my favorites. Have been patronizing Abdullahs for 15+ years. Their kibbeeh balls are the best!

Google
This is actually a Lebanese restaurant (Sammy's) which also has a bakery. Starting with positives, staff are very courteous and charming. Food portions are big. Need improvement: the atmosphere, variety of food and salads, maybe a little upgrade to the furniture and interior. Salads were not as fresh as they should be and the kids pizza is simply a layer of cheese over bread, coming out of the oven. TBH, I had way more authentic Lebanese and Mediterranean food in the past.

Google
I’m always on the search for a hole in the wall, so let me preface by saying I really wanted to love this place. That said, we had a very mediocre veg platter ($10.99) and what was probably the worst babaganoush I’ve ever had — so sour it was inedible. Everything we had was microwaved after it was scooped from the steamer table, so the cauliflower was sort of soggy and nothing — lentils, fritter, eggplant, cauliflower — tasted fresh. We came at around 3pm, so it wasn’t during the lunch or dinner rush. The pistachio dessert nests looked pretty but places like Aladdin on Montrose or Fadi’s are so much better, imho.

Google
I mostly buy Toogoodtogo but starting to buy them other stuff. Their food is delicious and plenty. Great service. 🌷

Yelp
Recently rebranded as Sammy's, I was greeted by amazing and kind workers, the store is clean and has a large capacity for seating. They serve many different delicious Lebanese dishes and pastries. The vibe was very relaxing and reminds one of the homeland. Truly amazing restaurant, the portions are great the prices are very fair.

Yelp
I hadn't been at Abdallah's in years. I was working in the area and stopped for lunch. The place has many Mediterranean food items for sale and baked good. I went through the buffet line and chose a four item veggie plate. The food is quite tasty and there is fresh baked pita bread. The cubed potatoes are tangy like I like them. The bulgur is ok. What I don't like is that unlike other places where food is warm, they put your plate to heat up your veggie items in the microwave. Of course, the cold items are served separately. The serving is generous. This is a no frills place that's been around for years. I wish they would brighten up the place.

Yelp
Being that I'm Lebanese and always yearning for food that tastes like what my family makes, it is not often that I really praise a Mediterranean restaurant. Houston has a number of good places, but Abdallah's is one of my favorites! The food is delicious no matter what I get. They have some of the best grape leaves in Houston. They have baked kibba as opposed to just fried kibba. Their fresh bread is delicious. I almost always pick up food when I'm in the area and always get grape leaves but then mix it up otherwise and have always liked what I order. Everyone I've taken there has enjoyed it. The workers are kind and efficient. I highly recommend!

Yelp
Best manakeesh I have had in the houston area. Wish they had a woodlands location. Their baba Ghannoij is delicious too. They are very nice and the lady that makes the manakeesh is super nice. The place is small but worth the drive.

Bethanne A.

Yelp
Staff knows you from years and years. Wait staff is cordial and make orders exactly as ordered. Hubs needs Shamarwa and son too. Tabouli, Babaghous, Pita and I needed two Cabbage Rolls. All were delicious except the Cabbage Rolls. Very large rolls, rice not cooked all the way and meat ratio to rice was off. Lacking flavor which was a big disappointment for me. Everything except rolls was eaten so all but me was happy. I will have to make them myself...I guess. Will still me a customer...

Rem G.

Yelp
The jibne and zaatar manoushi was amazing, felt like we were back in lebanon. Customer service was amazing, always made sure we liked our food with a smile on their face. Definitely would recommend coming to this bakery for fresh Lebanese food.

Yelp
Another update: Kibbeh nayeh (raw kibbeh / beef tartare) was perfectly made - and is available only on Saturdays. The olive oil is fantastic as it here comes from the owner's family olive tree farm in Lebanon! Unfiltered and all-natural goodness, and each bottle is numbered. Artisanal olive oil at its best! Highly recommend. Tabbouleh is the only thing I think that could be better - the taste wasn't exactly there but I think it's possibly because sometimes the flavor needs time to meld together if the parsley not fine enough. Hummus, baba ganoush, fatayer (spinach pies), fried cauliflower, za'atar manoushe, cheese manoushe, kibbeh balls, everything else were perfect and it would be hard to get all these better from a single place in Texas.

Yelp
I LOVE THIS RESTAURANT!!!! I've been a customer for more than 30 years. They make authentic, delicious food and serve very generous portions. I'm a huge fan of their spinach pies. They also sell the spices and olive oil they cook with. The spices are in large containers and sold @ unbelievably low prices. The olive oil is a beautiful flavor and isn't not the flavorless grocery store stuff. Be sure to get a bag of spinach pies for home because they are addictive!!! I learned the owner's family has been growing and harvesting olives for multiple generations to make that the most gorgeous, delicious olive oil you'll ever eat.

Yelp
Today my husband brought a Too Good To Go from Abdullah's. Wasn't home and he had no knowledge of my previous visits over the past years. The menu item today was fish and it was deliccious. The fish filet was a thick white fish, perhaps cod or haddock. It was lightly battered and topped with a delicious blend of perhaps spinach, cheese and was topped with fresh tomato slices and onion. It was accompanied with some type of delicious bread and salad which my husband enjoyed before I arrived home. Also thrown in was a bread pudding topped with pistachios. I commented about the sweet family who owned the restaurant. He agreed they are a lovely family. Too bad he didn't bring home thheir cheese stuffed bread! The food was the best I've had in a long time. Thank you Abdullah's for your continued service and always serving delicious food. We'll be back to visit soon. Best regards always!

Patti C.

Yelp
Took this guy to eat Kibbeh Nayyeh , which is an Eastern Mediterranean dish popularized by the Lebanese mezze, the array of small plates you'd experience at a meal there. It consists of minced raw lamb mixed with fine bulgur and exotic spices Kibbeh Nayyeh is often served with mint leaves , olive oil, and green onions , and it is then scooped with fresh pita bread . I prefer mine with a special garlic sauce . Don't forget to ask for that! The reason @BrandonKerne is showing this very dramatic facial expression is because I like my Kibbeh with Jalapeños , but Armando, the sweet gentleman that prepared our plate , only had Serranos It's been a long long time since I've been to Abdallah's and it's just as good as I remember. It's one of Houston's many family-owned treasures . Let me know what you think if you visit! ¿Quieres estar prevenido antes que tu pago suba? Yelp
I ordered Takeout. The food was great and warm. The food portions were good for the price. Very nice people! Thank you!

Jennifer G.

Yelp
The BEST Lebanese food around. The shish tawook is delicious. Their toum/garlic is what dreams are made of. The bread is being made right there as you walk in the door. The zataar bread and cheese bread are out of this world delish! The beans w lamb is fantastic. The cabbage salad is wonderful... never has raw cabbage tasted better. The lentils and rice is amazing. I get that every time. This is where you WANT TO EAT LEBANESE FOOD in that area. Locally owned. Owners are always there.

Letisia Michelle J.

Yelp
Very good food and the desserts are wonderful. I forgot to take a picture of my food but I ordered the chicken Shawarma. The chicken was a little dry but it was so flavorful. My husband ordered the lamb Kabob and loved it. We also had the Turkish coffee. So good. Order eat and then pay. Mint tea was great too.

Judy M.

Yelp
one of my favorite spots in town. you feel the hospitality and pride they have in their food a d culture as soon as you walk through the door. the food is wonderful, especially the bakery items. the spinach pie is a .ust try!

Martha A.

Yelp
Always a pleasure! Love the chicken Shawarma sandwich with garlic paste. The mixed zatar and cheese bread. The salads healthy and delicious!! The service is very mom and pop shop and just culturally fun experience.

Herb Q.

Yelp
Top notch food, top notch service, and tons of options! I loved this place, it's a very established Lebanese restaurant with great staff, inside and outside of the kitchen. I would recommend taking a look at their desserts too, the mamoul and linzner cookies are fantastic!

Carlin T.

Yelp
I haven't been this excited in awhile to find such a gem as this. First bite of basically everything I got left me stunned. Of course I want their business to do well but also kind of wish this would stay a secret place so it wouldn't get crowded! I don't know where to really start because I ended up first getting a slice of their phyllo cream dessert, walked out, but then came back in and get the chicken shwarma platter to go with some hummus and baba ganoush. Everything, and I mean like 99% everything is made from scratch. I have never seen pita look and taste this homemade. You'll be blown just by their garlic sauce too, and as overshadowed as they may be, I highly recommend getting the cabage salad and spinach. Who would have thought that a simple cabage salad with citrus and garlic would be so addictive, and who would have thought that spinach could be eaten by the spoonfuls. My only regret? I wish I found thisnplace sooner! I've had a lot of mediterranean food and this place is the best I've been to yet in CA and TX. Truly a gem, from the people to the food.

Maxwell R.

Yelp
I found the Half-Chicken I ordered to be lacking flavor and it seemed like their entire menu was prepared in the microwave rather than being freshly made. The Kibbeh had an artificial taste, as if they used pre-cooked beef that was microwaved instead of using authentic ingredients. Overall, the food had a dull and distinctly "not fresh" flavor. The customer service was extremely poor as well. I accidentally left an item on their counter and when I returned to retrieve it, they claimed it mysteriously disappeared, insisting they hadn't seen anything. Based on my experience, I have no intention of returning to this establishment.

Samir E.

Yelp
All commercialized does not taste as good as they say the only thing is good there pita bread fresh baked and that it also no customer service

Heidi B.

Yelp
If you are unfamiliar with Lebanese food, or a Lebanese cuisine lover, this is a must try. The staff was very friendly, very eager to explain the different dishes and quick to offer advice about what to order, and how much. They are a bakery, making pita bread right as you watch. The piece you get with your meal is literally "just baked"! It doesn't get any better than that! There is a nice array of other baked dessert items, each with a bit more honey, or walnuts that's the next. Tantalizing, but I got filled up with the food! Each meat item comes with three generous side dishes of your choice. We went for strict tradition and got humus, Baba Ghanoush and tabouli. Each was perfectly prepared, perfectly seasoned and a real treat. Not too oily, but too thick or runny, just perfectly prepared traditional stuff. Great job Abdallah family! We will return again and again! It's cafeteria style, you can see everything. Be sure to ask lots and lots of questions in case you aren't familiar with the foods. It doesn't overwhelm from the exterior, that's OK, the food makes up for whatever they lack in trendy, chic appearances. This is a real place, serving real food and most importantly, I don't know who is cooking, but it tastes like it's made with a lot of love and care!

Shelene L.

Yelp
Based upon a recommendation I received from my boss, I decided to give this place a try. I was very glad I did. Taste 4/5 - combo beef and chicken shawarma, sides of rice, hummus, Greek salad and of course, pita. All was pretty tasty. The meats were a bit on the dry side but well-seasoned. The rice was seasoned with nutmeg which gave it a flavor I was not expecting. Quality 4/5 - everything was super fresh but the salad already had dressing on it which made it a little soggy. I would have preferred it either served on the side or added right before being served. Atmosphere 4/5 - not busy at all. The gentleman who waited on me was very pleasant and gave me recommendations for my meal. All-in-all, I enjoyed my first experience and will probably be back.

Debbie R.

Yelp
One of the best restaurants in Houston! Shawarmas are loaded with meat, pickles, seasonings- the spicy sauce has just the right amount of spice. Extensive delicious buffet with lots of meat and vegetarian options. You haven't lived until you've had their cheese bread!!

Sundus A.

Yelp
If I could give this place a zero star, I would. The restaurant/seating area was dark and poorly lit. The only light was that coming through the windows, and light in the kitchen. There was a strong smell as soon as you walk through the doors. The food looked old and as though it had been sitting out for days. The lady serving me microwaved my food right in front of me and handed me the plate. The chicken and beef shawarma plate is what I got and I could not even finish it. Not good, don't waste your money.

Isabel W.

Yelp
I wish we could do half stars on here because I feel like this place is a solid 3.5/5 Atmosphere: cafeteria style place which is nice because it allows you to see the food you're interested in eating before buying. They have a giant fire oven in the corner near the entrance that they use to make fresh pita and other breads that are just amazing. You order at the counter, and pay at the end of the line like in a cafeteria in middle school Food/price: 3.5/5 being it our first time there, my boyfriend and I wanted to try a lot of things but kind of held back. Each entree comes with 2-3 sides (rice is a side) and also a free fresh pita bread that you can get at the end of the line after you pay. I will say portions are HUGE, so definitely shareable. We got the following: - lamb shank with vermicelli rice, tabbouleh, and hummus ($15): the lamb shank is pretty huge and cooked in this tomato based sauce with giant lima(?) beans. The meat is so tender it literally falls off the bone. The hummus was good, nothing super amazing, but I think the winner was the tabbouleh. It tasted so fresh! It was very acidic from the citrus that they use but it gives your palette I nice refreshing feeling. Overall, the lamb and the rice weren't super seasoned so you just taste the natural ingredients. - beef schwarma with ground beef rice, spinach, and roasted cauliflower: again, the highlight of this entree were the spinach and cauliflower. So well cooked, I could eat it all day. The beef was just okay, it didn't blow me away but they gave you so much. - mixed zatar and cheese bread: YUM. I highly recommend! It looks like a regular pizza when you get it but it's so good. I don't know what zatar is but it almost tastes like crushed olives? It's a bit salty but still so good. - pistachio lady finger (dessert): can't go wrong with pistachio. The outside is so nice and flaky and the inside has a powdery and crunchy texture but the taste is all there. Would recommend! Overall, I really do like this place. I just need to find which entree is the best. Definitely get the zatar and cheese bread, their vegetables are on point, and the dessert won't disappoint

RJ A.

Yelp
Pros: Food quality, portion size, and selection. Cons: Hole-in-the-wall type spot that could use some TLC. Loved their hummus, garlic sauce, and side salads. Came late in the day and had some dry meats. I'm sure it's better to come earlier when they're fresher. My favorite Lebanese food here in Houston above all the other popular places. Beautifully plated and generous portions at great prices. Will be coming back for more.

HD R.

Yelp
Best chicken shawarma every! I had the chicken shawarma with extra garlic sauce, hummus and falafel al of where're !! Delicious!!

Casey P.

Yelp
Food: wonderful. Foul is perfect. Fresh bread oooohhhh so good. Atmosphere: reminds me of being in someone's house, it's nice & homey. Staff: the only lady is the most beautiful person. She's super sweet & you can tell puts her heart into the food.

Juan C.

Yelp
The bread here is absolutely amazing. A true O.G. Arab/Lebanese spot in Houston. Make sure to get the bread fresh out of the oven.

Jose B.

Yelp
Everything is made in house, you can tell the love they put on making their food and bakes . I totally recommend this place if you are in the neighborhood. Just missing a bit of better decor .

Ahma H.

Yelp
So come because it's an inviting, welcoming well visited place. Come and bring your taste buds and your passport, because this is the real deal. Sal-am! What's not to like. Abdallah's is a very good lunch place. My Iraqi friend has kindly brought me here twice. Each time, I would rate this space as warm and inviting. And, I would have no problem coming just myself, but why not share this good food with a friend? Good service. Tasty. Food Prepared Quickly. The manager is a delight and she will guide you to what you might find of interest to eat. Sashay up to the front counter and point to what you would like. Engage the staff. They will show you the way! Outside tables on a sunny cement pad porch. Bring your friends, we did and even had a meeting here with eight people! For the uninitiated American, YES the lighting could be better and the YES the interior could be updated, but hey you are really here for the food, and the conversation. Don't quibble. This is a meeting place, a grocery, a bakery, a lunch place. Very friendly, very cozy. Come!

Kimberly M.

Yelp
This wonderful family owned gem is quite the spot for great good, baked goods, and pressed olive oil from the Old Country. I had the chicken shawarma plate with 3 sides, tabbouleh, hummus, and some kind of feta salad, with bread. So delicious! The restaurant is cafe with an assortment of unique foods for sale. We must have arrived just in time because by the time we left, local patrons were lined up. The owners treated everyone like they knew them personally, very warm, inviting, and engaging. I must take my family back to this spot to share my experience with them. I'm only putting four stars because my lunch partner was hot and I tried several times to use the bathroom (and even asked about it being locked) and couldn't get in. I wish I could only take off 1/2 star though.

Giselle S.

Yelp
Love the lamb shank with yummy lentils, spinach and cauliflower. It's my first time here and I plan to return. Many delicious looking and fresh foods.

Tim H.

Yelp
Very good and healthy. Love the mint ice tea. The Spicy beef Shawarma is to die for. Everything I've had there has been exceptional. Hummus is the best.

Yelp
Abdallah`s offers a variety of Lebanese cuisine. It`s great to have some delicious and flavourful Levantine food in Houston. This location is hit or miss! It`s a small spot, located on the right side of Hilcroft. The parking is small as well, but usually there is always a place to park. This bakery consists of both a deli, as well as having a small goods corner to purchase market items. If you have trouble in deciding what to eat, just ask for recommendations from the Owner. He is very kind and helpful. Being familiar with Lebanese food, I knew just about what I wanted to eat. I have came here a few times during lunch, and have tried the Kibbe, Falafils, and Shawarma. All of the foods are delicious. I suggest trying out any of their wrap sandwiches. They are filling, consisting of grilled meat and vegetables. The desserts and baked breads are wonderful. Baked fresh daily, you can`t go wrong with these delectable items. I suggest trying just about any of the desserts. They are equally sweet and satisfying. Try their spinach savoury pastry. It`s shaped in a triangle. The spinach inside the pastry is lemony with the right touch of olive oil. I believe I have spotted a few of their items at Whole Foods. Although, I usually purchase them at Abdallah`s. Either way, its definately a great way in experiencing a new place. . . . Hmm I believe its just about time to pick up some loaves of baked bread. :)

Ali R.

Yelp
Good place to get authentic Lebanese food and experience. This is where the local Arabs eat. Service could be a bit better but price was right .

Hanaa K.

Yelp
Delicious tea, shakshooka, foul, and pita bread. Quick service and everything is fresh. Generous portions.

Hanan Q.

Yelp
Incredible, authentic delicious food. This is the most authentic Arabic food I ever had in whole USA ..me and my friend are from Arab origins and we are very lucky about tastes ..and we both loved this place. When you get in,the smell is so much like back home Food is seriously delightful and very affordable for what you get, worth every penny. It is great spot for breakfast, lunch or even dinner. But I would just go for breakfast, chicken liver is amazing, baba ghanough or mutabal and the zatar bread oh God can't even describe how good it is. The olive oil they use is top quality. I mean can't say anything negative about food or service. They also have desserts, I've tried couple (osmalieh, mamoul, the best) all are great. Don't expect fancy seats, it is a self service cafeteria/bakery and many might be discouraged by that but trust a native Arab, the food is incredible and clean so who cares about the venue!

Ely A.

Yelp
Yeah buddy... yumm... Such nice people, clean, good prices, good food... over the top customer service. The owner was so nice he told me to take some bread and pay the next time. Haha... of course I didn't. I thought that was so cool. He was being serious.

Yelp
Fantastic food and EXCELLENT VALUE for your dollars. The woman and her husband that own this place are very sweet people and they make consistently satisfying dishes. Menu items suggested: Falafal shwarma sandwich veggie plate Love it!

Michele L.

Yelp
Abdallah's restaurant provided sanctuary for me when my car got stuck in flooding waters on Hillcroft. All electronics stopped. Water started coming into my car. I was on phone with huband who was one mile away at home. In spite of my protests to stay safe at home he walked one mile to find me. By that time 5 incredibly brave Hispanic men walked into the waters up to their chest and surrounded my car. I was told to put it in neutral. They pushed the car out of the water into the Abdallah's parking lot. By the time I got out of car to thank them they had returned to assist other cars. Owner Laurie remembered me from buying pita from her. She brought tea, lentil soup and a falafel sandwich. My husband arrived drenched with blood on his knees but we were safe. A woman from Tunisia gave me a jacket, one from Saudi Arabia gave my husband thongs, the Owner's gave him a shirt and jacket. I am beside myself with tears of appreciation from strangers from different countries helping those in distress. Our city of diversity Houston celebrates this humanitarian kindness. The picture below is Lori, one of the compassionate owners of Abdullahs.

Doug B.

Yelp
Kibbeh, grapeleaves, and pastries are delicious! The staff was friendly and very helpful. I come from Lebanese family and grew up eating Lebanese food, I absolutely would recommend Abdallah's for authentic Lebanese food!

Nick K.

Yelp
Sad to say this but my second time at Abdullah's bakery was very unpleasant. I ordered a plate with potato falafel and hummus. And sadly the flafel was put in the microwave to reheat which made the flafel taste very disgusting. Also it tasted very sour because it was fried in an old oil. Also the place is very pricy for the food you get. I'd say that this family restaurant can do way much better but they probably just got lazy.

Miss Melburnian ..

Yelp
Misleading prices leads to a rather sour experience. My first visit to Abdallah's Bakery as a long time visitor to Houston saw me eager to try Arabic style pastries whether sweet or savoury. The place was a utilitarian mish-mash of warm timber flanked by a large display bain marie showcasing rows of delectable Arabic dishes - I spied plump, grilled chicken kebabs upon mounds of glistening rice and other familiar Arabic dishes, followed by a separate albeit smaller display of assorted Arabic pastries of all varieties - glazed, powdered, crunchy and drenched in sweet syrup. They would have been very tempting if I had dined in that day! A limited variety of assorted Arabic / Mediterranean grocery items lined shelves against the wall, leading up to a humble looking eating area of 70s steel framed chairs and tables. I walked in intending to scope the place out and pick up a few small savoury items. The lady at the front counter was polite and attentive, as was the gentlemen who saw me walking about having a look through the food options and asked if I had been served. I decided upon the zaatar bread and the spinach pie upon viewing what was on display. Perhaps it was because I had arrived close to the end of business hours that the offerings were slim. The prices on the price list clearly listed each item as $2.50. Any normal customer would assume an item constituted a unit price, even if it was in a package. I was charged over $8 for the two items I bought and thought it rather excessive for two small rounds of pita in a packet and a standard spinach pie. I gave them the benefit of a doubt and thought perhaps the gentleman had misunderstood me when I was deciding between taking zaatar or/and the cheese pita, but he explained to me that there were two pitas in the packet, hence it was $2.50 for EACH pita. I felt this to be rather misleading, considering this was not explicitly indicated on their price list, or before I bought it. Similar to when you buy a packet of 4 cheese puffs in a bag at a bakery or a retail shop you are charge on a per unit basis on the price displayed - not the price of EACH cheese puff in the packet, I could not help but feel that they had deliberately done this to make the prices seem more reasonable upon first glance to induce a customer to make a decision to buy the item. As a result of this, if I do come back to try their other foods, my advice would be to clarify the prices with the cashier before paying or leaving. I note another reviewer below me had the same problem. Otherwise, the pie wasn't too bad - when heated up, the crust didn't become soggy, had a great aroma and a pleasant, garlicky taste, speckled with chunks of marinated spinach filling. The zataar I did not touch and gave away because I was not happy that I was essentially tricked in regards to the price. I would have been happy to pay $2.50 for EACH pita if they had just been transparent about this. In my list of to-go places to try there are about 5 other Arabic bakeries I have yet to try including Cedar Bakery, and to potentially lose a repeat customer over a few piddly dollars makes me rather puzzled indeed. Perhaps I am being too harsh, but if they are happy for me to visit again (especially after this rather blunt review) I would love to try their other foods and turn a raw experience ripe again. Ultimately, it is not about the money, it is about the principle which has been fallen short of.

Claudia O.

Yelp
Wow! Beef kabobs was seriously delicious the meat super tender and well seasoned cooked to perfection. I've tried the breakfast before, and everything has been so delicious and fresh. The freshly warm baked pita it's to die for! Susie was such a sweetheart and so very helpful. The fried kibbi, tabouli, jadera(lentils) were soooo good too. Definitely recommend this place and will be back for more!

Yelp
This is probably my favorite Mediterranean place in Houston. The place is authentic and the food is as well. They made me feel like I was back in the Middle East. The portions are perfect with a wide selection of food. You can come here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The bread is freshly baked in a brick oven!

Yelp
This was my first time visiting this wonderful cozy and warm place. I describe it as warm because as soon as you walk in your greeted and welcomed. It did take me a few minutes to make up my mind on what I was going to have. They have a great selection of plates and sides. I ended up getting the beef kabobs with a side of spinach and tabbouleh. For my drink I chose to have some of their mint tea. Very delicious by the way. When my food arrived I was pleasantly surprised. A great portion with plenty of grilled onions and tomatoes to complete the dish. My taste buds could wait no longer, I was savoring each bite and couldn't help but to relax while drinking my hot tea. I have to say... I have had a lot of tabbouleh from all sorts of places and this is by far the best I have ever had. Every place has their perfect dish or side and I have to rave of its perfection. Great hummus as well. I plan to be a regular and cannot wait until I have had every side and dish here. What a great place full of great food. There were moments I forgot I was at a restaurant because of their family oriented feel. Lots of customers that came in have been going there for years as one lady I spoke with said. So I am completely convinced that you should try them too and see that this hidden gem will be your spot too.

Yelp
This place has wonderful Shwarma, lamb shank and fish selections. They have pita baking through out the day and you get a basket of it with your good. You can also purchase spices, oil, grains etc at the restaurant/ store. Parking is never a problem

Yelp
Easily the very best Mediterranean restaurant I've ever eaten in. Abdallah's has a somewhat unique ordering system (almost cafeteria style) that gives you the chance to see an item before ordering it. I had the chicken shawarma, hummus, and baba ganoush. The chicken was out of this world, and both the hummus and baba ganoush were delicious. Be sure to ask for their spicy sauce! I can't wait to return!

Yelp
When I was in college, my best friend was from Lebanon, and she formally introduced me to Lebanese Food--Falafel, Gyros, Hummus, Tabbouleh, & my FAVORITE, Shish Barak (homemade, not from restaurants). --Sorry for digressing, but I am almost done: Now, after we graduated and each moved else where, I went on a search for Shish Barak in restaurants, and was always emphatically told that "You cannot get that in restaurants--it is too time consuming to make!!" (which it is very time consuming, so I completely understood). Well, Abdallah's informed me today that THEY, in fact DO serve Shish Barak on Wednesdays, and some authentic Lebanese soup that I have never had on Sundays!! :-D Now, all of that said, the 2 gentlemen behind the counter were so awesome, friendly and helpful to my many questions-- I ordered the Falafel, Hummus, Tabbouleh, Kibbe (my first time having this) and the Fried squash w/egg (Ijjit ??--First time for this too). Falafel--very good and tasty Kibbe--DELICIOUS Tabbouleh--DELICIOUS Hummus--Very bland, with little to no seasonings (the most disappointing thing on my plate :-( The Fried Squash fritter thingy--VERY tasty Pita Bread--Very fresh Side of Tahini Sauce--Just Tahini w/ nothing added Served with Mint Tea--DELICIOUS I also got a Spinach Pie to go and a dessert with their homemade cream and philo dough on top (it was suggested to me, and it looked delicious, so hell, why not?!?! See pics) I haven't tried either of these yet, as I am still stuffed!! All of the above for 14.00
