Abe's Pagoda Bar

We hosted our wedding “welcome drinks” at Abe’s Pagoda Bar and could not have asked for a better experience!! This is a bar we’ve loved for years, and it meant so much to share it with our guests, many of whom were visiting from out of town and got their first real taste of Brooklyn through this spot. Anne and the team were amazing to work with from the very beginning. She was welcoming, flexible, and made the entire process feel easy. We were able to use the whole space, including the pool tables, and the team even allowed us to bring in some outside food to accommodate guests with specific allergies. They also supplied all the serving materials, which made setup effortless. The food from Abe’s kitchen was absolutely delicious and fresh, and the cocktails were fantastic, crafted to order and a huge hit with everyone! The staff went above and beyond on the night of the event: they helped us decorate, store things behind the bar, and even got us set up with a mic when we wanted to thank everyone for coming. Abe’s is such a gem of a bar!! If you’re looking for a space that feels fun, personal, and full of Brooklyn character, book Abe’s. It was the perfect way to start our wedding celebration!

Decent cocktails and a cool ambiance. The music is far, far too loud for us and made it impossible to talk. We’ve always enjoyed going to this tiki bar, though it’s fallen a little in our estimation recently. Many of the best cocktails have been discontinued and in particular the green hell was not very good this trip. The frozen cocktails are great and probably I’d focus on that in future. Still, this is a place I’ll come again and look forward to it,

Amazing ambiance, decor and music. This place is perfect for any date night or hang out. There are 2 pool tables in the back and plenty of seating. I sat at the bar and had amazing service from the waiter. Don't remember the name but bald headed dude. The food was amazing, I had the Sambal Buffalo Fried Chicken Sandwich and Elote Egg Rolls. The Chicken sandwich was amazing soft bread and crispy breading. Felt like i was eating a Chicken Big Mac with better everything. Not spicy for those that can handle heat. I really enjoyed the Elote Eggroll. Crispy and hot, packed with corn and cheese. I would come here again!

Had a great time. Decent pool tables. $2 games. Good drinks and happy hour.

Abe’s Pagoda is an amazing place nearby that always reminds me of home (Florida) the atmosphere is reminiscent of an Asian inspired genre of tiki, which shows the owners are educated enthusiasts! I’ve never written a review but I feel I have to! I love this place! The staff, is a bit of your run of the mill bushwick bartenders, which isn’t bad! They make good/strong drinks! They just aren’t really interested in much “tiki talk” or really educated on it as much, one time I asked for a zombie and one of the bartenders didn’t know how to make it even though they make a virgin version on their menu haha! They are very nice and very friendly though!! And some do make great conversation regardless! The food genuinely brings me to tears, I get the chicken bowl everytime, it always has amazing presentation! It’s the one thing I can get in NYC that reminds me of the food at home, Id like to see more Polynesian food! I’d also love if they’d put more pasta in and less rice but that’s a personal preference haha! All of their food and drink is top notch! Thanks to the owners for having a tiki bar in Bushwick!

Frequently hang out here and the last time I went it was crowded and no seat (except by the bar).. Granted, it was Saturday and Valentines Day but still.. Anyway, drinks are moderately priced and pretty good but we usually just get House wine, beer and sometimes cocktails. 🍹

We thought we'd hit up every tiki or tiki adjacent bar in NY but just found out about this place and it's become an instant favorite. The space is well decorated with tiki, moody Asian vibes. The drinks are tasty and strong. The food is incredible (and they deliver!). Two pool tables in the back. Gonna be regulars here for sure.

We decided to grab drinks here on a weekday after many, many mentions about how much of a vibe this spot was. Located in Bushwick (close to a station I may add) Abe’s Pagoda is definitely a vibe. Ambient red lighting, a big bar, and enough seating in the front and the back to go with a group this spot seems to check all the boxes for a laid back bar. It also boasts a kitchen that makes a variety of dishes. For this trip we tried the fries and their glazed cauliflower. Five stars all around. Drinks were reasonably priced and staff were very attentive. Come here for a laid night back with friends or that special someone.

We've been coming during covid. Noticed one day thay they serve food. We thought it was just a biker bar. Boy we're we pleasantly wrong. You order food at the bar and grab it from the kitchen. The food is surprisingly good. This isn't your typical bar food wings and nachos. They have this sweet and tangy guochang wings. The wings have some good meat to it. Their chicken yakitori skewers comes with a black sesame dipping sauce. Pairs well with a cold beer. The crab lagoon and burger will always be a crowd pleaser. Their cocktails and drinks are great! Doesn't matter which bartender, they maintain the same standard. We opt to go early as they get pretty packed on the weeekend/ evenings. They have pool in the bar room. This is surprisingly a big space and ghe crowd is always vibes.

Love their wings and dumplings, even though they take a bit long but it's all worth the wait. It gets pretti pack at night with great atmosphere and music. Drinks are 10/10/

I went here for the vibes specifically. It is very cozy especially during cold weather. The servers are very quick. The chicken sandwich is surprisingly amazing.

Great chill bar. As far as tiki bars go in NYC this has been on of my favorites on the chill side. Cocktails are delicious and there are some unique twists on classics. The bar itself has traditional tiki elements but is more relaxed. The playlist was great and service was quick at the bar. Pool table is in the back. I wish I lived a bit closer to this place because I would be here all of the time. It's a great combination of quality and chill enough vibes where you can still have a conversation with friends and not be overwhelmed by having to get on a reservation list.

I wish it was cleaner when we got in. Tables were sticky from the night before and there was an unpleasant stench, perhaps because we were by the bathrooms. The floor itself, especially in the bathroom, is really sticky, which made the whole experience unpleasant. The wings are decent. I wouldn't pay full price for them, but would do the Happy Hour deal. I appreciate they have Happy Hour everyday, even on the weekends. Frozen margarita for Happy Hour was decent, but wish it were bigger and there were more options for Happy Hour, especially for a Tiki Bar.

Relatively low prices as far as NYC bars are concerned, so that is always a plus. The somewhat spacious, stylish (in a glam rock way, not a society way) bar fills up with people on weekend nights especially, but their happy hour deals are worth trying. The food is consistently decent. I've had their fried chicken sandwich several times and just tried the Yakitori Momo (grilled chicken skewers), priced at $10, last night. Is it a lot of food? No, it's more of a snack, but it was good and paired well with the sweet chili sauce they served alongside it. The menu is varied enough that I would think it includes something for most people. They have pool tables in the back as well as more seating. It's always rather dark, which is comfortable. DJs man the helm regularly, and it's a bit loud, but you can still attempt conversation. Overall, I think Abe's is one of the better hangouts in Brooklyn, and, as it's kitty-corner from the L train at Dekalb, it's not hard to find.

My friends and I came here on a Saturday night. It was pretty busy, but the bar is fairly large and there was room on the dance floor! The DJ was good; he mostly played remixes of 80s - 00s hits. Fun place to get a drink and dance; I'd definitely come back.

Solid retro aesthetic. Decent drinks in a dark, moody spot. Loved our bartender. Great stop in our night out.

The best food & vibes!!! Who doesn't love a good tiki bar? I was not expecting the food to be the highlight at a tiki bar in bk! We got the fried chicken with grilled pineapple, Jasmin rice and Hawaiian style macaroni salad and it was delicious. We also got the crab Rangoon's which were home made and one of the best I've ever had in my life. The drinks were good, not my favorite combos but they were very pretty and enjoyable. The vibe was dark and lots of tables to sit at or they have a nice bar right when you walk in. It's self serve service, you go up to the bar to order and pick up your food at the window but I kind of love how casual it is, makes it feel more comfy overall you will not be disappointed with this experience!

Perfect spot for a late night bite and drink. Came after an event near by. This spot is located in a busy street so I was glad to get to a place where we could sit down and eat (outside of the multiple food trucks parked near by). The wings were great, super flavorful. We also got the loaded tots with mushrooms, happy to see they have veg options as well and even salad. There is seating up front, in the back and outside so tons of options. Even tho it was pretty busy was still easily able to order at the bar and get served pretty quick. Their drinks were pretty good as well, had to go for their passion fruit drink and honestly did not regret it.

Well concocted cocktails in typical Brooklyn bar. Price per cocktail was fair ($16) and fairly sweet and easily drinkable. Got the Lychee Marina and Blue Hawaii. Personally enjoyed the lychee marina cocktail but it was present in a different glass than marketing on the menu (which was a bit of a letdown). Three small rooms divided with a small hallway in between the entrance/bar, DJ area/booths, and pool area/booths. The booths by pool tables ($2 a play) were poorly laid out - be mindful that the space is narrow and if you will bump into whomever is playing. My experience docked because of the reason above. Otherwise, cocktails were good and the space was chill - I would say it's a ~4 star bar in the area.

Came here tonight Sunday 10/29 around 5:30pm. They were short staffed with one person working the bar and one in the kitchen. Nobody greeted me or mentioned I had to order at the bar- the two other times I've been they had table service. Other than that, things were just as I remember, cheap, tasty food and strong drinks. The frozen espresso martini was just okay, I didn't personally love it. My friend and I sat in a booth in the back. Love the ambiance here. Being short staffed, they only had tater tots, cheeseburgers, and fries available. The burger and fries were good. More mezcal/tequila drinks would be great. I really enjoy this place and it was so nice to come back after not going for ages.

The sambal wings are some of the best wings I've had in my life. The passion fruit frozen marg is strong and overall, this is a fab local bar

Cheap/Fairly priced beers but surprisingly good wings. Saw a good crowd on a Sunday which is a plus. Good hangout bar. Kitchen open until midnight.

This place doesn't quite qualify as a tiki bar--it's more of a dive bar. It's consistently overcrowded, the cocktails leave much to be desired, and the sticky floors add to the less-than-ideal atmosphere. I've been here a few times and usually stick to straight whiskey, hard seltzer, or beer. I can't speak to the food, as I've never tried it. Be prepared to wait a while to catch the bartender's attention and place your drink order.

Unexpected stop at Abe's for a quick drink before Brooklan. Very cool laid back vibe. So when you sit in a seat like the one I took a picture of below no one comes up to you. That's the only downside to service. You'd have to go up to the bar and order. Drinks were pretty good for happy hour. The food was even better! Buffalo wings were sooo tasty and HUGE, which is so worth it. The chicken sandwich was also very good. I will say that salad blows all of it out the water! Not only was it all so fresh, it was huge! I just never expected Sugar Snap Pea, Edamame, Red Watercress, Pea Tendrils, Horseradish, Black Sesame, & Yuzu Kosho Ranch to be such a mind blowing combo! 10/10 recommend!

First time here was unintentional, March 2022? Had birthday plans elsewhere but that place was eerily empty, so we spontaneously came here instead. Loved the billiards, the open back area for a group of friends, affordable prices. Saw the vegan options and knew we had to come back; our friends ordered the Gochujang wings and they smelled too good to not want to try the vegan cauliflower. Summer 2022 we came back for the wings... they're $6 during HH, so we ordered the real wings and the cauliflower. HOLY HELL. So damn good. Two years later, and these are still my guilty cravings, even though there's nothing guilty about them. They updated their menu to $1 HH wings, and the cauliflower are always abundant. They added sweet thai chili and can't wait to try those. We also come for the most affordable frozens in BK - they used to be $8 on HH but now they're $10, still a good deal and strong. They tend to change the flavors up, every month or so, and love that they're always vegan. Most recently they were pina Colada, lychee rosé and passionfeuit marg. Our favorite was a pistachio frozen and wow. That was a boozy milkshake heaven. They also have $3 HH tecates and $8 beer/shot combos. Both are crowd pleasers. We've also heard great things about their regular menu (elote eggrolls are high on our list) and with the various vegan options, I'm a happy camper. Circling back - I need to talk more about their cauliflower wings. As a longtime veg eater, I've had so many fried cauliflower wings, most being buffalo. But these. Whoa. These BY FAR have the best breading, and it doesn't fall off. It holds the sauce, and doesn't fall apart when you use a fork. The cauliflower is still crisp too - not overly "steamed" to where it's mush. I've (half) joked I want a kitchen job here just to learn the recipe. Best fried cauliflower in all BK. For vegans/vegetarians, come just for these.

Precursor: I don't like dive bars. ... but Abe's didn't give off the same vibes as all the others. There's some tiki themed decor, so a bit of that feeling - but not overwhelming. The bar had a cool deep red light coming from behind the alcohol bottles which was definitely cool. Good variety of beers on tap. The back room has a decent amount of space if you're in a medium group. And yes, the other reviews are right - their fries were just like McDonalds fries. I would go back to Abe's fosho

Amazing bar! Everything top notch from music, drinks, food, vibes, and service. The prices are amazing for the level of establishment this is. Visiting from LA but what a gem!

If you find yourself in Bushwick and are looking for a cool bar, hip vibes, and a good time, I highly suggest Abe's! From the outside, it looks like a bit of a sketchy dive bar, but from the inside, it is it's own little slice of tropical bar paradise. With dim lights, comfy (and dare I say sexy) lounge seating, L-shaped bar, two near regulation size pool tables, great food and reasonable prices, this is the perfect spot for a date or to catch up with friends. Food: - Had the fried chicken sandwich (has a great crunch and quite tasty) - Fries (thin but warm and crispy, addicting) Drinks: - Margarita (awesome presentation, delicious) - Cours Banquet (comes super cold, right in the bottle)

Good vibes, food was delicious, loved their chicken sandwich, and the drinks were delicious too. Pool tables in the back, lots of booth seats, and friendly bartenders. Like our bartender this night. Would go back if I lived in Brooklyn but probably wouldn't make a trip out for no special reason. I'd give this place a 4.7 if I could.

I've been ordering their vegetarian sticky wings for some time now, and every time it's delicious. Honestly, my fav vegetarian wings in NYC. Dumplings were not as great, but when I tried the "mushroom mapo chili cheese tots", I couldn't believe the flavor and texture of the mushrooms. I thought it was meat. Really well done.

Great spot for bites and happy hour! Totally recommend. I came on a friday night around 7 and was able to snag two seats at the bar. The frozen margarita was perfect! Also ordered the hot chicken sandwich and fries and everything was great. Want to go back and try more from the menu. Staff was attentive and food didn't take too long to be done.

I visited Abe's on a Friday for their happy hour and was really impressed! I got the burger ($8!) and a can of Estrella Jalisco ($2!). The burger was a smash burger, with cheese, lettuce and pickles. Just a really solid burger and the buns were soft. We also ordered fries, which were similar to McDonalds fries in a good way. Can't speak to the service, but I really liked the ambiance. Tiki bar vibe, and they really stick to the theme. Highly recommend Abe's for happy hour!

Bored and deserving a nice drink after a long, hard week, with the help of Yelp reviews, Abe's was it! I arrived at the end of happy hour (literally at 7PM), but was able to order a froze at the happy hour price! The place was full, but not overcrowded and I got a nice seat at the end of the looooonnngg bar. Abe's is spacious and has comfortable looking booths throughout. I didn't get to the back room, but it appeared to be even more spacious. The crowd was a good mix of people and everyone seemed to be in good spirits (pun intended). I ordered elote egg rolls and gochujang chicken wings. The wings were heavily garnished with seaweed, which I didn't mind, even though I desperately needed to floss lol. Nevertheless, the food was magnificent, flavorful and crave-worthy. I ordered the first froze for me and the week gone by. The second froze went great with my meal. I actually finished my drink, but not my food. I got a take away box and ordered crab wontons to go. I ate the wontons the following day and can honestly say that they were the best I've had to date. They weren't greasy, but they were crispy, light and had spicy/sweet dipping sauce that made them even more special. I will return, but earlier and with my drinking buddy. I need to try the Painkiller and other menu items.

Awesome tropical bar with great food! Needed a spot before a show at Elsewhere and Abe's is nearby. My boyfriend and I walked in at around 6:30 PM on a Saturday and grabbed bar seats. I tried: + Zombie + Jungle bird + Bambu chute + Oxacan penicillin + Elote egg roll + Abe's house salad + Private island cheeseburger + Fries My favorite cocktail was the Bambu chute, while the best food items were the fries and, unexpectedly, the salad. They have a good happy hour as well. Definitely will be back!

Everything I had here was delicious and they have a great happy hour deal! The wings were good and flavorful, the fries were seasoned perfectly and the frozen drinks were strong but still tasty. The cocktails are a bit expensive ($15) but the happy hour deal from 5-7 is great. You have to go up to the bar to order for food and drinks, the bartenders don't come to your table. You'll have to pick up your food too from a window. The inside is very dark with red lighting but it's definitely a more chill vibe and they have incense going.

Part pub, part Asian hideaway, divey-ish, & with a cosy area in back with a pool table. IDs & bags checked at the door. It's almost like two bars in one with a large bar and surrounding seating area in front, with an open back area that's great to chill and hang out with friends. It has Tiki bar vibes with the layout design, wall paper & plants, with warm red lighting. The crowd is eclectic (look at that dope word, add that to your vernacular...& add vernacular while you're at it). For real, you'll see a little bit of everyone here. Crowded but not overly packed with definite energy in the bar. NOTE: All orders must be made at the bar, & you can pick up when alerted by the number they provide you. The frozen margarita is decent, and we ordered the egg roll and wings. Egg roll is EXCELLENT & unlike any I've ever had. HIGHLY recommended. I didn't get a chance to try the wings immediately since I was whipping ass in pool, but as I looked around I saw some being devoured. *EDIT: FINALLY got to try a wing. Buffalo. Lightly sauced with small pepper slices and crumbled blue cheese, & they are well made & delicious. You should try them too. The vibe is very relaxed and most importantly FUN on a Friday night. The pool table is a very cool feature. Really enjoyed the time, think you will too, & will be back.

This place is so cool and the individuals who work here are super friendly, respectful and accommodating! The Food is life changing! The crispy cauliflower is the best in town and the drinks are fun, strong and extremely tasty. I'd recommend Abe's for a hot date or a fun night out with friends. One of the coolest spots in Brooklyn!

I'm starting to lose faith in yelp reviews. Y'all hype up restaurants / bars that's consistently don't give what y'all said it was going to give! Chicken sandwich - 3/5 I'd eat it again. Not bad. Wasn't as amazing as you all suggested. Egg rolls - 2/5 pretty presentation but lacked flavor. Where is the salt!? The flavor profiles didn't come together well for me. Frozé- 4/5 good flavor and strong. I had ONE and thought I had gotten roofied. I'd come back for a drink. $8 happy hour frozen drinks. Good deal for insanely expensive NY.

Loved everything about this place, really. I thought it would be primarily a bar with some okay food, but man was I wrong. The food was absolutely the highlight. We got two orders of fries (which are a la carte, not included with entrees), a cheeseburger, chicken sandwich, and the elote eggrolls. My boyfriend really liked his cheeseburger, but my chicken sandwich was way superior. It was packed full of flavor and insanely crispy. I would definitely order this thing again and think of it often. The fries were a little spicy and got almost too spicy after continuing to eat more of them. The fry on them was great though. The true food star were the elote eggrolls. This is a must-try item if you go to Abe's. They are incredible. So cheesy and flavorful. Highly recommend. As for drinks, we had the Painkiller and the Bambu Chute. The latter was tangy and delicious but mostly ice. My boyfriend drank half of it in two sips before he realized. The Painkiller was okay, but it needed some sweetness to elevate the drink. Without that, it tasted too watery, which is probably another ice problem. As it was a weekday before 7, there was a happy hour crowd that quickly filtered out after HH was over. So between 7:30-8:30 it was pretty empty. What I didn't realize until we went to the bathrooms was that there are pool tables in the back. The vibe is less tiki more sports bar instead. I will definitely be back for those elote eggrolls.

This place is awesome! Tiki style ambiance with great music and great vibes. Drinks are expertly crafted and bartenders are on it. The only thing better is the food! Menu is a little Asian with elevated traditional bar items. Chicken sandwich is off the hook! Also, can play pool while live DJ gets down. Gotta check this one out!

My friends and I visited this bar before the Nutcracker Rouge show a few blocks down. We chose it for its tiki theme and happy hour specials. Upon arriving, the bar area was relatively empty. Getting a drink was easy and the service was friendly. I got a Mai Tai and my friends got a frozen drink and a wine. The Mai Tai was the weirdest tasting adaptation of a Mai Tai I've ever had in my life (tasted like rum + lime juice + soda water + no sweetener). I had my friends try it too, just to make sure it wasn't my taste buds that were failing me. I mentioned this to the bartender and she said it was a new mix and she would be happy to add some simple syrup or get me a different drink. We were able to dress it up to make the drink, well, drinkable. My next round I tried one of the frozen cocktails. It was definitely a step up from the Mai Tai. The portion size was large and it was one of the more tastier frozen bevs I've had before. We also ordered an assortment of food. We were sad to learn that a lot of the items that piqued our interest on the menu online were not available. They recently swapped over to a new menu and the website hasn't been updated yet. :( We tried the hot dogs, the tots, the mac salad and the chicken sandwich. The food was great. Very filling and unique. Some of the better bar food I've had in a while. My only complaint is that the tots and hot dogs were sauce heavy. Very saucy. All and all, we had a quite enjoyable time here. There's tons of seating available. A pretty cool space in the back with pool tables and more booth seating. The staff was really friendly and accommodating and the food hit the spot. Great happy hour to boot! Oh, and they have a killer playlist.

I've now gone here twice: once for a small birthday surprise and once because I wanted to go back so much. I guess I'm super into tiki bars and I REALLY loved both of my experiences here. Very unassuming facade but a chic bar layout with a cool back room with a pool table. I honestly liked both my times at the bar, the service was great both times and LOVED the drinks. They make a heck of a zombie, painkiller and Miami vice. I haven't had all of their classic cocktails, but their tiki drinks are really good and priced about what you would expect. The food has shades of fusion and honestly I'm a huge fan. The gochujang wings are spectacular, the pork and chive dumplings rock, the corn egg rolls are amazing, the veggie mappo dog was very excellent and the salad is really great too! I definitely know where I'm taking people who want to hang in my neighborhood and love that I can have a choice of great tiki places in Bushwick.

Yummy cocktails, ok food. Egg rolls were hard to bite into and a bit difficult to eat sideways; flavors were aiight. Loved one cocktail too much to diverge from it (mainly because there werent more mezcal drinks or tequila ones I'd like). I had the oxaca and my partners first drink was something phony. It had a very strong vanilla/almond flavor but was supposed to be pistachio forward. Their second drink was a hard pass for us as grapefruit haters; only get the AperolSpritz if u love love love grapefruits. The music was... all over the place but not in a good way. It would go from rap (NWA) to some artsy fatty sounding indie thing (think Bjork). But at least the sound system was on point. The crowd was very quiet from 6-9 while the music continued to increase in volume and spontaneity. I do my best to avoid peeing in bars and this was exactly why. The bathroom I entered, smelled like someone Peed from the ceiling all the way down to the walls and floors. With sticky pee floors and a wobbly toilet I'd hate to be drunk here. Overall not a place to go out of your way for but fun for locals.

Good memories pre-COVID. Remembered waiting almost 1.5 years for this place to open and my excitement when it finally did. Sadly moved out of the neighborhood couple weeks after this place opened :'(. You can tell this place was painstakingly, carefully thought out from the menu to the table lamps. Favorite tiny detail here is that no two lamps are alike. Food was pretty good, happy hour menu had a nice variety with Asian fusion flair. Drinks were solid and fairly priced (2019). Remembered hanging a my least a couple hours here. Plenty of awesome places to check out nearby as well.

This place is amazing. All the food I've tried is just perfection. Pork buns, hot chicken sandwich, the Crunchwrap. All delicious. The fries taste like McDonald's but better. The cocktails are tasty. The ambiance is also chill.

My boyfriend and I have been wanting to try takeout from Abe's for a while and decided to get a to-go drink and appetizer this weekend. When we picked up our food, the staff member was extremely friendly and brought the food promptly to us. To drink, we got a large Oaxacan Penicillin. The drink was packaged securely in a plastic to-go cup, and even had the toothpick with a cute skull head and lemon candy to garnish it with. The drink was strong, not too sweet, and had a lovely mezcal flavor. Would definitely order this again! The large was also big enough to split among 2 people. After reading other reviews we decided to go with the elote eggroll for our app and it did not disappoint. The egg rolls were so crispy and covered in cheese and chives. This was one of the best apps I've had in a long time and it was only $6! The egg rolls are pretty large and the app comes with 2, so this could be a small meal if they're not shared. Overall, we had an amazing experience with Abe's and can't wait to go back (especially once indoor dining reopens). The food and drinks were such high quality and affordable. If you're in the area, definitely check this place out!

Came on a Friday night. Ordered the zombie, frozen margarita, burger, chicken sandwich and elote egg rolls. The food was great, but chicken sandwich was so so good. Wish we got here 30 minutes earlier for the happy hour. Will be back though!

From the street Abe's Pagoda beckons with a high set one way mirrored window and a fun 70s era font on an otherwise curiously basic bland warehouse building. It seemed to have potential, but inside gave not only good AC but a dark well renovated space decorated in a subtle retro Chinese tiki vibe with red lanterns, red vinyl barstools and other fun American Chinese icons. The bartenders were cute and nice and the happy hour offered $2 can beer and $8 frozen drinks like a painkiller and others. I got the happy hour cheeseburger that was tasty and kind of perfect but felt overpriced much less like a happy hour special. Lots of young bright Brooklyn yuppy hipsters without much cynicism or even irony. The space feels kind of new and clean.

Abes is a vibe. The food is a vibe. The drinks are a vibe. The crowd is a vibe. I like Abe's. The cool thing about the food and drinks is that they are typically like an Asian fusion cross between different asian cuisines and Latin. The chicken sandwich is fire. The chicken has such a unique flavor I enjoy it and the fries are good. I just had the elote Eggroll the other day. Every time I had come it was always sold out this time it wasn't and I'm really glad I got it it was delicious, would order again. Bartenders can be pretty slow when it's packed but that's the nature of a bushwick bar I guess. If you have a seat at the bar they're always fast ;)

Drinks & ambiance here are really incredible, you can tell they put a lot of effort into it! We didn't look up this place prior to going in and from the outside, I would've never been able to guess that it would be so pretty inside! Highly, highly recommend the Pinky Ring. Something about the combination of liqueurs in the drink make the aftertaste taste like cotton candy, and it may be one of my favorite drinks ever. May be back just for that! Can't comment on the food here, but everyone I was with seemed to really enjoy it.

Bartender was overwhelmed due to understaffing. food was spicy , lovely spot to spend 4/20!
