Abracadabra Magic Diner

Cute decor, the people working there were nice - but a little bit overbearing. It felt like they were slightly listening to our conversation and would give us stuff we were thinking about asking about, before we asked them directly - I felt like I couldn’t talk about the food candidly because of this lol (and any comments I made about the food, I lowered my voice since it seemed like they were listening). We were sitting near the front of the cafe for reference. My sister and I agreed the food was just OK. The dishes in concept sounded good but the execution was lacking. The pistachio matcha latte was really watery, no pistachio taste, matcha was a dull green - a sign of cheap or old/oxidized matcha. The chicken tikka bowl needed more sauce desperately, there was not enough to go with the rice. Chicken was also dry and overcooked. The dish looked appealing visually, but that’s as far as it went. The burek sandwich was better but still not that great. We wanted to like everything more than we did 🥲 the food just really lacked flavor and the execution level was not there, especially considering the prices (not cheap!). I would take the 5 stars reviews with a grain of salt for this place...

What a lovely place! The food was delicious, the service excellent, and the coffee was tasty as well. I landed here on accident but will be coming back over and over again.

I've absolutely loved every experience I've had here and am so grateful this is within walking distance to me! Truly a magical cafe. My favorite thing to get here as an entree is the wagyu burger and the salmon bowl, both are very high quality and nutrient dense. The various teas and beverages are soo amazing and very clearly made with love & intention. I don't know how exactly to describe it other than saying, I just feel better every time I eat and drink here. The lion's mane dessert balls are also super interesting and quite energizing. I can't wait to come back with a bigger appetite and try more items on the menu! The owner is truly a gem, as are the other individuals who work here. I truly hope this business stays around for decades to come. This goes without saying, though please reconsider bringing your own outside beverages to this cafe. The pricing is incredibly reasonable, and there is so much goodness on the menu to try. It's also a locally owned small business, so let's show some support :) ❤️

Wow. The salmon salad was exquisite. They prepared me a drink with a homemade chaga tincture after I explained that I was looking for a caffeine alternative. I cannot wait to come back. It was also a great place to work from a laptop for about an hour.

What a great addition to the neighborhood! Love that it is super chill and kid friendly (we've come here with our preschooler and baby), as well as a very convenient takeout option. I highly recommend the vegan protein rocket bowl. Fries are delish as well!

Wow is all I can say. The vibe is happy and healing. A great place to unwind and be at peace. There was independent musicians playing to lift our souls even more if that was possible. A very magical place indeed. The food was delicious! I was with a party of 5 and everyone got their order at the same time and everyone loved their choices. I got the organic eggs and a Turkish coffee. Yum!! Smiles everywhere, highly recommend. LOVE.

This place is so cute! The food is great and the owners are awesome. They even gave me a little strawberry, rose lemonade on the house. I will definitely be back and tell all my friends!

Great addition to the neighborhood! Love this place for food and smoothies. They also have a lions mane chocolate in the freezer for grab and go that is amazing! Cool decor inside and outside. Service was quick and friendly!
