If you are looking for authentic, tender BBQ in, A.B.’s Amazing Smokehouse. It’s a must-visit. I recently visited with a group of five, and we left thoroughly impressed by the quality of the meat. The Brisket: The star of the show. It was incredibly tender with a beautiful smoke ring and a robust, peppery bark that fell apart with a fork. It’s clear they take their low-and-slow process seriously. Loaded Potato Skins: These were a crowd-favorite appetizer—crispy, well-portioned, and drizzled perfectly with sauce and crema. The Sandwiches: The cross-section of the brisket sandwich (pictured) shows just how generous they are with the meat. The balance of acidity from the slaw/pickles against the rich meat was spot on. The Sides: The baked beans had that deep, smoky sweetness you want in a BBQ side. The "Paper" Factor (personal preference!!!) The only minor drawback to keep in mind is the presentation. For a meal that costs $250+ for a group, the restaurant uses disposable plates and plastic cutlery. While this fits the "authentic smokehouse" vibe, it might feel a bit casual if you're expecting a more upscale sit-down experience. However, the quality of the food more than makes up for the plastic forks. And that was a Lateef review 🥴

We tried the brisket, smoked beans, smoked chicken wings, and beef ribs — the BBQ was delicious, smoky, and full of authentic flavor! The portions were generous, and the prices were reasonable for the quality. The side dishes were great too and complemented everything nicely. The smoked chicken wings were a bit undercooked for my personal preference, but everything else was excellent. Overall, the food tasted fresh and well-prepared! I’d definitely visit again the next time I’m in Michigan!

OMG! The food was BUSSIN!!! This has hands down been the MOST enjoyable bbq meal that I’ve had in my life. We ordered 2 pounds of brisket (Amazing). A full slab of ribs (OMG, delicious!!). Half a dozen smoked wings (yes, they were whole and heavenly). We added a large Mac & cheese and some bbq baked beans. Insanely good is an understatement. The only sticker shock we had was the $200 we spent on dinner (that included a 20% tip). We most definitely will be back and we encourage everyone to try this joint out. I took pictures of the food, but they didn’t do this place justice. You’ll be sorry if you miss out on this experience.

Finely was able to try this place out. Wow amazing all around. They even have a meat display to purchase. But back to the food. First picture we chose loaded super fries with pile of fries, creamy Mac n cheese, smoke brisket, and crushed Onion fries. Second pic I chose plater for one. Comes with 1 beef rib, 1/3 lbs of smoked brisket, 3 smoke chicken wings, banging cornbread, smoke baked beans, and coleslaw. The rub was sweet and smoky. A true BBQ enthusiast have to try this amazing joint out. 5🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟for sure.

I try bbq EVERYWHERE I go. Love bbq! Beef ribs were fantastic! Tender, great flavor. Perfect! Brisket good, couldn't taste any smoke flavoring but with a little sauce still good. Mac and cheese was one of my favorites of all time. Creamy as hell, great flavor. Picky on corn bread cause its usually dry and flavor can be meh but not here. Really good! Moist, sweet, yummy! Even the slaw was good. I'm neutral on slaw usually but really good here. Overall great and well worth a stop especially for the ribs, mac and cornbread!! 🤤 Only real neutral, not really a negative, was the brisket. Rub could only taste pepper and no really smoke flavor. Hate adding sauce to brisket, like to have the bark and meat shine without adding anything but had to add a splash a sauce (oh yeah sauce was really good too). Cost was as expected. Good bbq costs a little bit and I ordered a meal plus brisket to try that too so cost was more. About 30-40 person/platter is about avg.

The rib and brisket were sooo tender. Cornbread was great with a little bit of sweetness. While the skin of the chicken was seasoned to perfection unfortunately the chicken meat itself was not. Loved the baked beans. They were nice and mesquite. The mac and cheese was not bad 6/10. (Bread crumbs on top are not seasoned) Personally the mac and cheese is much better without the breadcrumbs. The barbecue sauce was very vinegar base. I did not like it. But if you love apple cider vinegar this is your sauce. The burger was a 10/10. So fresh and seasoned to perfection. I love that you can get it cook to your preference. The well done was nice and juicy. There is plenty of seating inside with a bathroom. There is plenty room for parking.

I was very tired today & ordered a half beef brisket instead of beef ribs by mistake. It turned out to be the best tasting brisket I've ever had in my life, so that was a delicious mistake! The meat was so fork tender with a really nice crust. Can't wait to try the ribs next week!

The food tasted hardly seasoned. The chicken was completely undercooked. The worker got annoyed when we asked her for stuff. This place was good when they first opened now it’s just a shell of what it used to be. If you wanna eat here take a time machine back to when they first opened.

It's official we really love AB's! The first time we went; we enjoyed the platter for 2: with 1/2 brisket, 4 Bone Back ribs, 1/2 doz wings, Mac n cheese, French fries & cornbread. Two other times we've enjoyed the chopped brisket. Then on Sunday, 9/8 we took our daughter there because she wanted a burger really bad. She had The AB's Texas Burger and was thoroughly pleased with it!!! She is a Yelp Elite & food snob. I'm sure she will write her own review. My husband had the fish & chips & I had the fish sandwich and both were excellent. My daughter thought we were weird because we ordered fish from a BBQ place but we had NO regrets. The cod was so fresh, battered well & cooked perfectly; we really enjoyed it. The service is impeccable; they are always pleasant & friendly and are quick to take your order & even bring the food to your table when you dine in. Whenever I see people coming in for a pick up, there are never any delays. They show the online info or give their name & it comes right out bagged & ready. They are always courteous when dealing with their customers. The dining & cooking areas are very clean. They have gloves available if you don't want to dirty your hands while eating & sanitizing wipes are available in the dining area as well. I can't wait to go back to try the Loaded Fries and the Brisket Potato Skins.

Walked in with the feeling of a good meal and indeed we enjoyed and took half of it home. We ordered the 4 people mix - sides were sufficient and good - plenty - they even added on additional topping. We were there as 2 adults and 3 kids - the food was delicious but too much. Hence we packed up half the meat. But the brisket was cooked to perfection and the ribs. Would we come back. Definitely

Amazing food! We drive down from Franklin for the cool ambience and great food. This is a family owned restaurant that shows the pride the family takes in serving great bbq This is not fast food but a great bbq spot perfect for a family outing. The Beef ribs are great! Chicken drumsticks and the brisket are good. Cornbread, mac & cheese, and fries are also very good. I suspect that a few of the critical reviews are from competitors. If you guys David G

Love this place -- the flavors are amazing (please try the chicken, the seasoning is unlike other BBQ places). Overall, the location is casual but clean. It's a very serve yourself type of establishment but everyone we have encountered is very friendly. And everything is Halal!

My husband is from Texas and he's always looking for great smoked meats. We looked on Yelp and found this spot. The place is Halal so the Muslim community is able to enjoy as well. The place is small and simple but what it doesn't have in decor they make up in flavor. We ordered a meal for two. We picked brisket, beef, ribs, and smoked wings. We could have picked drumsticks or a half a chicken in place of the wings, but we chose to smoked wings. We made the right choice. The wings are seasoned and a dry rub of brown sugar and paprika and seasoning, which was sweet and savory. They were delicious. They are served with a sauce that's kind of like ranch but with horse radish I would think it's a little kick fabulous sauce. The ribs are excellent too. They are the big beef ribs and the brisket was very good as well when you pulled it seasoning was on the outside of the brisket and from what the waitress told us they smoked their brisket for 14 hours the macaroni and cheese coleslaw and fries were all amazing to the fries are crunchy, the macaroni and cheese just like southern some of the best mac & cheese I've had and coleslaw was fresh and really good. Texan was impressed impressed. It's gotta be very good. He has really not found any place that he has liked as much as this one other spot.In Novi.

Clean restaurant with plenty of seating and parking. Was a little humid inside when we went and the floor was very slippery. The ribs and brisket were our favorite. Chicken was okay. The loaded brisket fries and sides were not the best, but the cornbread is solid. Service was quick and staff was friendly.

Food...fantastic! Service.... Great! Ambiance...good! Outside of the restaurant being on the smaller side when it comes to seating, we had a great experience. The food was on point! Really good smoked meats (only beef and chicken, no pork). Nice people running this place. Lots of room to sit inside and dine. It's not fancy, who cares. It's a bit pricier than a lot of BBQ meat places - but so worth it! The brisket is great. the beef ribs are great. The huge short rib is amazing! One of these days I'll try the chicken, but every time I go I cannot pass up the beef! The side dishes (fries, mac&cheese) are average - I go for the meat, not the sides so much, although the corn bread and baked beans are good.

Tried this place a few times and think it's ok. I appreciate that it's halal and that's what has me coming back, but overall think food is mediocre for the price.

I was hungry after a visit to Greenfield Village and drove the few extra miles to check this place out. I wasn't sure what to expect, and went in with an open mind. Walking in, the place is a decent size with a fair amount of seating. They have a decent menu of items, and prices tend to be on the slightly higher side for BBQ. I went with a brisket sandwich, and the guy at the counter was super friendly and helpful. Brisket sandwich was good, and I got a good amount of food. While it was tasty, I wasn't in love with it but still enjoyed my time here. They do a lot of catering here with their menu items, and give huge portions. Not a bad at all, worth the stop.

This place is unbelievably delicious. Best beef ribs I've ever had in my entire life. The brisket was mind blowing. So good! I can't wait to come back here again. The staff was super sweet. They told me to come back and try their burger. If it's anything like the beef ribs and brisket this might be the most delicious restaurant in Detroit. I didn't get to try their cornbread because I was too full but it looked great.

I seen all the great reviews and figured I would try them out. Not many places in michigan have the sense to make just enough and sell till sold out. But maybe I caught them on bad day. Very busy, normally that means fresh food. The ribs in my platter weren't done so I waited 45min. First the good: Place smells incredible. The cornbread was amazing, almost more like a cake and sweet but kept the good cornbread flavor. The beans were really good. Cooked perfect and had great smoked BBQ taste to them. Maybe a lil over seasoned for my taste but still good. Now the not so good: The chicken wings was well over seasoned and dry. Brisket not terrible but not great by any means. The ribs over cooker and over seasoned. There was parts so over cooked it was crunchy and im not talking about bark. Amazing Mac nCheese??? This was some of the worst Mac and cheese ive had from a BBQ place, and the bread crumbs or whatever is poured on the is terrible, please stop using that. Maybe back it with real bread crumb crust if thats what you're going for. At $32 this is not cheap BBQ, and sure doesn't live up to the price. The brisket burger looked great but I haven't tried it, but at $22 gonna be hard to live up to that price also. Place was busy, seem to be mostly mild eastern folk, so guessing that the 100% Halal is the big draw here. But for me that dont need it to be Halal it was dissaopionting.##

Cannot say enough amazing things about their food! We had them cater my son's birthday party of 100 people, and the food was a huge hit. Brisket, ribs, beans with brisket, Mac and cheese and chicken were all fantastic, arrived on time, hot, and in generous positions. Salad was beautifully presented, slaw was creamy, and the cornbread was sweet and delicious. Their spicy bbq sauce is truly spicy and the OG bbq sauce was smoky and savory. Have them cater your next party and your guests will leave stuffed and happy!

Meh, tried AB's un-amazing ribs today. Huge disappointment. Food looks amazing but does not taste amazing. Ribs were tough and had a sticky sweet bad taste to them. The brisket was mostly fat. The beans were the best thing I had. Prices are expensive for a meal. Don't waste your time this place is not worth the hype.

When two medical students on different days mentioned the ribs here (on two different days), I knew that my husband and I needed to try this place out. And they didn't lie to me - ABs Amazing ribs are...amazing. We opted for the platter for two persons - while the $60 price tag was highly than we usually spend for a "to go" meal - we were completely surprised. Brisket, ribs, drumsticks, with the sides were up to the hype. There was enough in this meal to feed us for 5 meals (which makes the "cost per meal" ratio just as amazing as the ribs). Smoky, tender, flavorful, and all those other superlatives about food are true here. Run, don't walk. And get here early cause when it's gone, it's gone. p.s. It's a crime to call it cornbread. It's more of a corncake texture, light and fluffy. So freaking good.

I have rode past this place so many times and never stopped in until now and I'm so happy that I did. They have a nice menu with ribs, brisket and much more but since my husband doesn't eat pork or red meat I stuck with getting the smoked wings. You can get them wings only or as a meal and that's what I went with mac n cheese and baked beans. The wings were so good and seasoned to perfection! The baked beans were just as good but the mac n cheese was just average. I received my food quick, the man there(maybe the owner or manager) was so nice and apologized that I had to wait 6 minutes for fresh wings. Six minutes is nothing sir in these COVID days but I so appreciated his great customer. Prices are very reasonable and you get a nice servings as well. I will most def being going back for ribs and brisket and more baked beans!

Food: A+ This place is really amazing, the BBQ flavor is unique in flavor and the meats are always high quality. The BBQ sauce is made from scratch, fried fish is worth a mention, they have a Greek salad , just good variety for everyone. The ribs are by far the best.

This was my first time trying halal barbecue, and let me just say my family and I were absolutely blown away. The whole place was really unassuming from the outside, but the ambiance was pretty nice on the inside, good old school Texas BBQ vibes. The food was the real standout though, we ordered the platter for two and it comfortably fed a family of four with a young child. The ribs were amazing and so juicy with the house made bbq sauce. The brisket was melt-in-your-mouth tender and the smoked wings were also pretty great. Even the sides were good, like the mac and cheese and cornbread. The owner's wife was incredibly nice and welcoming, she even came over and spoke to us at our table for a few minutes. This spot has now become a must visit every time we come to Dearborn. Thank you AB's for a great meal!

The brisket!! Tastes just as good as it looks. The wings did not disappoint. I'm not a fan of breadcrumbs on my Mac & Cheese but it was average; seems like I've had it at a couple of other places before. The cornbread is like cake (that's my favorite kind). Will definitely order from here again!

Before I stop eating meat, I went there and got the beef ribs. They were succulent and juicy tender amazing!

We went in and they didn't have chicken sandwiches. They were also really over priced. So we left and went someplace else.

Absolutely delicious. We loved the food so much. And the service was friendly and efficient too. When you glance at the menu you may initially think it's on the pricey side. But don't let the prices fool you. The portions are huge. My daughters and I split the meal titled "platter for up to one person" and we didn't quite finish it. The two ribs were gigantic and a highlight for sure. After all, ribs are in the name. We also loved the moist and flavorful brisket and corn bread. The wings were tasty too. The fries crispy and good. The only not 5 star item was the mac n cheese, which was more of a 3-4 star. It was that creamy Bob Evan's type versus what we prefer (Union or Slows Mac n cheese). But we will definitely be back. Wish it wasn't 35 minutes away.

Incredible beef ribs. Delicious sides. Introduced friends to AB's Amazing Ribs. They had a combination and couldn't believe how delicious everything was. The service was friendly and the ambience is perfect for wonderful comfort food. My absolute favorite for beef ribs!

Husband and I were in town for a Pistons game and decided to stop at ABs as all of the reviews were amazing. Unfortunately it wasn't worth the trip out of the way. We shared the Feast for One. It came with 3 chicken wings, 2 slices of brisket, spare ribs, mac & cheese, fries, coleslaw and corn bread. Quantity wise it was more than enough for one person. The wings were solid. The brisket had good flavor but most of our portion was fat. You'll always have fat on brisket but serving two slices of almost complete fat isn't a good look. The spare ribs were tough and had the membrane on. Unfortunately the mac & cheese, coleslaw and cornbread was uneventful and were similar to what you would purchase from a big box store.

I wouldn't call this place amazing but it was ok at best. We ordered the platter for two so we could sample everything. The brisket was very tender but much like the ribs and chicken, lacked flavor. I was expecting a flavor burst in my mouth! It just didn't happen for me for neither the brisket, chicken or the ribs. Our chicken was under cooked. And I had hoped the skin would be crunchy. Instead it was more like soggy. The beef ribs were pretty tough. I expected the meat to fall off the bone...no such luck. As for the sides, the mac and cheese tasted like 'boxed' and we ate about a spoonful a piece. The cole slaw was was drier than we liked. In fact, there were pieces of slaw in the bowl that was as dry as a bone. The cornbread was more like cake and far too sweet for us. Sadly, the best thing on the plate for us were the fries. We were very underwhelmed. I doubt we will return here. It's important to note that the staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean but the floor was very slippery.

Chicken is some of the most moist I've ever had from a restaurant. Brisket is amazing. Only 4 stars because I prefer the Beef Ribs more tender and sides are mediocre.

I've been to AB's on two occasions so far. My opinion is mixed on all fronts. It's low key, casual all the way. Order at the register and they'll deliver your food. Plates, napkins, plastic ware, etc. are available on a cart at the back of the room. This isn't really obvious at first. Service is minimal, but this is not a cheap place to dine. Sandwiches are over $10 and not exactly larger than other bbq places that charge less. Most entrees are in the upper teens to twenties. There's a combo meal for two that costs $45 and could probably feed more than two. Personally, I enjoyed the sides the most on both visits. The fries are nice and crispy and pretty tasty. The mac n cheese is great, especially the version with brisket (which is one of the better bargains and totally meal worthy). The cornbread is meh - a little dry. The chicken wings were decent. The chili was a little bland for a bbq place and didn't have big chunks of meat like other bbq chili I've had. There are two bbq sauces and while both are good, they could amp up the flavor a little more and add some extra alternative sauces. The brisket is ok, but I personally wasn't blown away (though I'm not a huge brisket aficionado, so don't take my word for it). So do I recommend AB's? Sure! But I also think there are better BBQ places around town that cost a lot less.

I had friends visiting from Tampa florida. They were really excited to try the amazing ribs as we don't have any halal bbq in Tampa. We ordered the brisket the brisket fries and the ribs. The brisket was underwhelming but the ribs were extremely satisfying. I'd highly recommend the ribs and the brisket fries. I would have loved to try some of the other sides as well but maybe next time.

Ab's has been popping up on my Insta feed for a while now and literally all the dishes looked amazing. I'm always down for some brisket and mac & cheese, so I put it on our To-Do list for July 4th weekend. We stumbled in around lunch time on a Saturday looking for some food. I was dead set on the brisket mac & cheese, but I also wanted just plain brisket as well. We ordered a 1/2 pound brisket platter with an order of brisket mac & cheese. This was A LOT of food for 2 people. In retrospect, since the platter came with mac & cheese, I would've gotten a platter too and just put my brisket on top of it... Brisket was excellent - tender and juicy. It's definitely on par with some of the BBQ I had in Austin. The mac & cheese is also really tasty - super cheesy and gooey. I loved it! There was a lot of people buying platters when we were there, so it seems to be a very popular take out spot.

I love this place I had burger last time anytime before I had the brisket. They are amazing and taste good and the service is beautiful. I love this place.

This is the first time I've ordered from ABs and I'm very impressed. The portion sizes are huge and everything was delicious. These are beef ribs so the flavor is different from pork ribs and they are much bigger. The sides, mac&cheese and smoked beans were both very good. I will be able to make two more meals out of the leftovers. Service was very courteous. They even carried my order to my car. Plus now I have a nice aluminum pan that I can use again.

Food was mid, the mac and cheese wasn't the best I could honestly compare it to Kraft mac & cheese, french fries were okay for fries. I got the Ribs and they were mid as well not as juicy as i thought very dry on the inside and out , cornbread was okay. It was pretty quick which doesn't surprise me because of the quality of the food, but I probably will not be back because because they are ridiculously expensive.

Great BBQ. They did an excellent job on the brisket - no sauce needed, which is exactly how it's supposed to be. They asked if I wanted lean or fatty (which right off the bat is a good sign that they know what they're doing). They didn't have short ribs on the menu anymore but the beef back ribs were excellent and a good value for a full slab at $34.

Ab's Awesome ribs, hummm Awesome you say ... The two meat combo 3 Ribs, Brisket and two sides (Mac and cheese and fries) this did not disappoint - the ribs are beef (instant bonus) cooked perfectly and lots of meat on the bone !! The brisket was even better ! Juicy and flavorful. Michigan continue to impress with their BBQ spots. This is another must stop !!

Now ima tell the truth and nothing less. The fool was ok.Three stars for flavor! Pricey $33 don't think it was worth that much. First off I know for a fact they gave me the fatty part of the brisket I feel as on purpose it was flavorful and seasoned but I would've preferred more meat. It was also tender. The ribs wasn't it for me. They tasted old. One thing u can't do is serve old ass ribs! Nasty! I would avoid next time if I decide to give it another try.. the wings were really good. The fries were good. Mac and cheese didn't really have any flavor. For now I think I'll give it another chance but avoid the ribs at all cost!

Tried the Platter for 2 and the meat was delicious but the sides were lackluster. The Meats (ribs, chicken, and brisket) - 5/5 Mac&Cheese - 2/5 tasted like box Mac&Cheese, but it went to 3.5/5 after adding garlic powder. Baked beans - 2.5 Service was great so I will definitely return.

They sell what they have for the day. If you can get there early enough to get what you want you will not be disappointed. Their fish sandwich and chicken was almost the best I've ever had. Everything is tender and well seasoned.

Great food, tender meat. But the price is way expensive. Small area not bad for dining in. I would rather order to go. Also again the way prices are not reasonable.
