Love a nice fresh from the sea snappers (pink, whole or red). It doesn’t matter I love them all. The owner work very hard and has great customer service. My first time here will definitely return and will make my favorite seafood market.

When we moved here, we were excited about finding a fish market. We stumbled upon this one and 4 years later will not buy our fish anywhere else. The freshest, they cut it like you like it and it's well worth the price. We always have enough for a few meals no matter what we buy. Check it out, you'll be pleasantly surprised.

There is no fresher well taken care of fish in Charleston. Everything is sustainably harvested and treated with respect. Mark and his family are amazing people doing amazing work. If you don't shop for your fish here, you are truly missing out. As a Chef, I can tell you, there is no equal.

We love having Abundant in the neighborhood. Can’t say enough about how many great meals start here. The crew is world class and a big part of the experience. I went early the day before Thanksgiving to see what sides I could pull together and although they hadn’t opened yet Evan talked me through some ideas and decided on a yellow fin ceviche. He said when it came in he could put some aside. When my wife went back later in the day they were cleaned out but Evan had a beautiful piece of yellow fin waiting. Made our day!! The ceviche turned out incredible. Abundant is a landmark gem. Thank you !

I love fresh fish and seafood, so needless to say, I was thrilled when Abundant Seafood opened a stall on Magwood Lane on Shem Creek. Since Abundant sells to most, if not all, of the restaurants around town, you'll often find selections that you can order at restaurants, but not available in Seafood departments at supermarkets or even Whole Foods. The options change, depending on the catch and are usually posted, along with the per lb. price, on their Facebook page. If not, there's a board in front. The store on Montague Avenue usually has a wider selection, but you'll have plenty of options on Shem Creek. Parking is limited. You can purchase a whole fish, or have them filet while you watch. It's that simple. This is the real deal!

We came to this seafood retail place based on friend's recommendation. The owner Mark catches and sells fresh fishes from a facility just steps away from his boat. We went on a Saturday afternoon and he had 5 different kinds of fish. You just pick the ones you like and he will clean and filet them for you. His price is very reasonable and the fishes are very fresh. Be sure to get on his distribution list so you will be notified each time he is back with fresh fishes.

How lucky are we to buy our fresh fish right off the docks at Shem Creek? Always pleased with what is offered and enjoy grilling at home. Excellent service but be patient - Evan will filet to order and that these skill and time!

This place really is a scam when it comes to fresh seafood. They sell Argentina Red shrimp to customers for $13 per pound. These are frozen shrimp which you can buy at your grocery store for $9.00 per pound. DO NOT BUY Shrimp from here. Buy next door where they actually have fresh shrimp.

Great selection of fish. I looked up their Instagram for their post of the day and saw wreck fish which is a lovely grouper. Got a couple lbs and brought it home to cook for the fam. Very helpful staff on preparations. Check their Facebook and Instagram for what is at the dock.

These guys have the best fresh fish in Charleston. I love that they've always got something random or something new that I've not tried cooking before. This week it was Banded Rudderfish. It's a member of the Jack family. I was advised to try it sashimi-style and I'm very glad I did. It was incredibly fresh and delicious. I've been a member of their CSF for about a year and it's been terrific. Off the beaten path, but well worth searching for if you're looking for Charleston's best fresh fish.

I've have purchased my fair share of fish from a variety of markets between the Carolinas. Abundant, in my opinion, has one of if not the cleanest facilities I have ever seen. The fish is always fresh and the customer service is second to none. These boys know there fish. If you are ever in the Charleston area it is worth the trip to check them out. I joined the CSF thinking I would get a good deal on fish prices. They advertise that CSF members get a $10 per pound rate for whole fish but the reality is that they have not had whole fish since I've been going with my CSF membership. I mentioned this to them and they told me it's on a first come first serve basis. The whole point of a Community Supported Agriculture or Fishery is that they set aside your pre-paid share of goods whether it be produce or fish. The idea is that you're allowing that business to plan ahead and grow the produce or fish what they need for the season. Their reality seems to be that they get your money in advance and leave you to deal with having to get there early to get what you think they'll have but the reality is that most of the time their out of stuff. You might as well not prepay and get what you want when you need it. That's the CSF now let me tell you about the owner Mark. Mark from my personal experience is a monster to his employees. I came to this assessment after this encounter. I was asking for a certain fish that they notified me via email. The CSF members get an email on what they'll have for pick up so I asked for a particular fish that was mentioned in the email. I looked at the board and noticed they did not have it listed but the board had the words "and More" after the listed menu choices. I asked the attendant at the register if they had this particular fish in stock. The attendant went to the back to look for it came back to the front and asked a co-worker if they had any in stock. Mark was filleting a fish while this was going on not paying attention so it seemed. At that very moment Mark walked up to the front with big knife in hand, pointed at the board with the knife, and yelled at the employee as loud as humanly possible "IF IT'S NOT ON THE BOARD WE DONT HAVE IT. DO YOU SEE IT ?!?!?!?" . The employee with an embarrassed looked and defeated tone in his voice whimpered the answer "no...". There were a group of customers behind me chatting who were suddenly silenced by the rude loud outburst from this monster. I felt sorry for the attendant and wished him a good day and to take it easy. I don't believe any person should be treated with such disrespect and especially in front of customers. I used to think I was supporting a local business and satisfied employees but that idea has been chattered by this vulgar display of employee abuse. I've never seen anything like that in Charleston or anywhere else. Usually the folks here are friendly and polite but Mark is my first experience of a jerk business owner in this town. I'll never do business again with such a pompous ass again. I feel sorry for his employees having to deal with such a tyrannical boss. I'll be sure to mention this to anyone that brings up Abundant Seafood to me.

Fresh Fish is amazing...been here dozens of times never had a bad batch. Employees always extremely helpful & knowledgeable about every item. Boom Try their smoked fish also

I have been buying shrimp from Geechie for a few years and was never lucky enough to catch the Abundant Seafood crew when they were preparing and smoking fish. Well. Today was my lucky day! Not only did they clean and fillet a whole golden tile fish for me, but I bought some of the smoked mackerel as well. I cannot describe how fresh and delicious and well prepared this seafood was! It is truly a gift and a blessing to enjoy something so fresh and special - truly a gift. And the staff was wonderful - I could have stayed and watched them and talked to them all day! These are pros who are knowledgeable, like what they do and respect the water and the bounty she gives us. I don't know if seafood from anywhere else will ever measure up. Thank you!

I live around the corner from the Geechie dock. I drive a vehicle with VA tags which is probably why I paid a rather inflated price for some triggerfish today. I'm not a tourist, support the local economy and am not a rube. Disappointing.
