The Biggest Los Angeles Restaurant Openings in May 2025 | Eater LA

"Opened May 7 inside Westfield Century City on the rooftop food court deck, this food-court restaurant was launched by actors and comedians Anthony Anderson and Cedric the Entertainer (Cedric Antonio Kyles) and draws on the pair’s upbringings in Compton and St. Louis to inform its smoked-meat flavors and styles. The project was inspired by their A&E show King of BBQ, and they brought on pitmaster Burt Bakman (Slab Barbecue, Trudy’s Underground Barbecue) to develop a menu featuring St. Louis ribs, smoked chicken, chopped brisket, chicken wings, and pulled pork; the location occupies a prime slot toward the front of the mall’s rooftop deck." - Mona Holmes

AC Barbeque - Review - Century City - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"The Century City mall keeps adding new restaurants like it’s trying to win back everyone who’s ever gotten lost in their parking garage. The latest is AC Barbeque, the first restaurant location of Anthony Anderson and Cedric the Entertainer’s barbecue brand. After years of selling their seasonings and rubs, they’re now serving smoked ribs, brisket, pulled pork, wings, and chicken, all doused in their signature sauce. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Cathy Park

Ordered online for delivery and was impressed with the packaging efficiency and the food temperature. Love that they package with a wet wipe. The quality of the meat was spectacular. The brisket was tender and didn't require much chewing, that fall-apart deliciousness. The burger wasn't trying to do too much, minimal toppings but heavy flavor. The mac and cheese was creamy and perfectly textured. Full of bold cheddar flavor but not overwhelming. Delicious meal, reasonable pricing, will be returning. My coworker did say that he wished there was an option for a side of BBQ sauce, because he would have enjoyed being able to dip his sandwich.

Since place just opened, I would like to make some suggestions. Please have someone there for quality control. Change the sandwich package to something more sturdy. I was hoping to add banana pudding but they were already sold out on a Friday afternoon. Definitely, not down home bbq.

Just had a great sandwich at a barbecue Century Center. Everything was fantastic. My only comment is sauce as probably two or three extra spices in it that doesn’t need all in all I will come back.

I came to AC Barbeque on July 1st and had a great experience. The food was amazing, and when I asked about a military discount, the staff kindly honored it (photo attached). I appreciated that, and it left a strong impression on me so much so that I came back just three days later on July 4th. Unfortunately, this second visit was disappointing across the board. They were out of ribs, the brisket sandwich I received was cold, the fries were only filled halfway, and the $7.99 beans didn’t include any brisket like they’re supposed to. I ordered the exact same meal just three days prior, and the quality drop was obvious. To make matters worse, when I asked again about the military discount, the manager told me they don’t offer one even though I had just received it earlier that week. That kind of inconsistency, both in food and customer service, is frustrating and concerning. AC Barbeque has real potential, but they seriously need to work on maintaining consistency: whether it’s food temperature, portion sizes, or how policies like discounts are communicated and honored. I wanted to support this business, and I still hope they can turn it around, but right now, they’ve got some work to do.

I stopped by AC BBQ at Westfield Mall and got the plate with brisket, pulled pork, and chicken — everything was spot on. The brisket was tender with a nice smoky bark, pulled pork juicy and flavorful, and the chicken had great seasoning without being dry. I asked for extra sauces on the side and they hooked it up — the spicy one was my favorite. Also had the homemade lemonade which was super refreshing and not overly sweet. Solid BBQ and fast service — coming back.

As a black person I wanted to love this place so bad BUT that’s not the case. Wings 10/10 Mac & cheese 0/10 it’s giving Kraft / boxed Mac Banana pudding 0/10 literally banana flavored pudding no wafers or bananas Corn bread 1/10 it’s sweet like cake doesn’t give corn bread Overall 1/10 sorry guys it’s just not good for what you’re pricing

Google
I’m a big baked beans fan and these did not disappoint. Rich smoky and just sweet enough with chunks of brisket mixed in. You really can’t have too much brisket! The brisket sandwich was super saucy in the best way with a perfect balance of tangy sweet and a little heat. The meat was tender and smoky not dry or too salty and the pickles and onions gave it a nice crunch. I would for sure order both of these things again, although next time I do want to try the pulled pork I saw someone else get. Grab extra napkins and wash it down with a lemonade. Messy delicious and totally worth it!

Google
Well, I thought I was going to enjoy some good bbq today. I’ve patiently waited for this place to open. I spent $36 on half rack of spare ribs and the world’s smallest portioned size of mac n cheese. The ribs were awful… first of all they were only seasoned with salt and pepper. They lacked any rub on the meat. Then came the taste test… I don’t knows of any bbq joint that doesn’t smoke their ribs… until now. Absolutely zero smoke flavor, no smoke ring, nadda. Huge disappointment

Yelp
I was excited to try this place created by Cedric the Entertainer and Anthony Anderson. It's in the food court of the Westfield Century City Mall. I liked the food! I tried their ribs, in which the meat fell off the bone. The BBQ sauce is good. The mac and cheese was good. I really liked their baked beans. Their cornbread was the sweet kind like I like, but not overly sweet. I'd get their food again!

Yelp
TLDR; Really wanted to like this place buuuuut food fell short. Overall I'd give a 3.5/5 stars. Food: Both ribs and brisket were sooo salty. At first bite, they were really tasty with good smokiness and BBQ- but as you keep eating... it is SO salty. The ribs were not tender/fall off the bone and quite chewy. BBQ Sauce was very generous! Banana pudding was fine. Mac and cheese was very yummy! Service: Got berated for not having my receipt immediately lol and there was only ONE person in front of me on a slow Sunday afternoon... I did pull up my virtual receipt # to verify, but the staff member had chastised me and said "this is why you should always have a receipt" (even when they give you the option to have no receipt + you give them your name upon ordering.. lol weird) Ambiance: fast casual at mall dining court. Order at the counter then pick-up when they call your #. Keep an eye out for the # and not the name haha. Food comes out relatively fast.

Yelp
Hate to do this, but this place is a no-go for me and unfortunately I found this out $35 (lunch for one person) later. The sign says "Welcome to the Cookout" and I think they invited them and their lack of need for flavor to this restaurant. My friend and I purposely drove the hour to come try this new BBQ place but we won't be back. Ordered the AC trio with a brisket sandwich, Mac and cheese and a lemonade, a side a baked beans and the cornbread. The Mac and cheese looked like what I imagine butter noodles look like meaning plain with NO visible cheese. The looks were not deceiving and there was barely any cheese let alone a cheese pull. The cornbread was served room temperature and dry. The honey butter was just okay. The baked beans were actually pretty good and they had brisket in them so if I were rating I'd give them a 9/10. The brisket sandwich was good also. My meat was very tender but my friend's was not and her daughter's was mostly fat (see pics). The brisket sandwich did need more sauce because there was only a splash of it on the sandwich so I did go back to the counter to ask for extra bbq sauce. The BBQ sauce in the condiment cup was OVER seasoned to where you could actually see the seasoning, it was almost like it was more seasoning than sauce. I choked from the excess pepper while tasting it. I want to say that they opened this bbq place up because they were cooking for family and friends and the bbq was so good that everyone encouraged them to open up a restaurant but no way these sides are what people were tasting because they were definitely not it. Can't mess up the Mac and cheese at a bbq!

Yelp
The food and price are both 5 stars!the bbq ribs and brisket is my favorite on the menu along with the baked beans!! I usually get an order of baked beans to eat there and one Togo cause it's that good! The ac platter is also good but I just prefer the Ribs. It's crazy that everything is under $25, even the ac platter with 3 different meats. Even bowl at chipotle is $20 so being able to get slow cooked bbq was def a steal.

Yelp
If you're looking for authentic, flavorful barbecue, this is the place to go! The smoked meats are tender and juicy with that perfect smoky flavor, and the sauces take everything to the next level. The brisket was melt-in-your-mouth good, and the chicken wings were packed with flavor. Sides were just as impressive especially the mac and cheese and baked Beans. On top of all that, the staff was super friendly and made us feel right at home. You can tell they really care about the food and the people. Definitely my new go to BBQ spot.

Yelp
I got the brisket sandwich. It was smaller than I had hoped. The brisket was just okay. I did like the sauce but I've also had better. The fries... I wouldn't bother. Especially since they have to be ordered separately.
google avatar

Yelp
This is not a sit down restaurant. It's fast casual dining near the food court at an outdoor shopping mall. You order and find a table to sit. The seating area was plentiful and kept clean by custodial staff. Service was nice and helpful. Unfortunately, the corn bread had not been prepared when we ordered at 1:30 PM (they open at 10 AM). We tried a variety of items. We enjoyed the pork ribs, baked beans and French fries. The brisket, chicken wings, sauce and banana pudding were just OK. It's worth a visit.

Yelp
I've now been to AC Barbeque 3x and have tried most of the menu and I'm soo sad I can't go higher than 3 stars. I went on opening day excited about Anthony Anderson and Cedric the Entertainer opening a spot! I love both these guys, shiiiiiiiiiii I loved the Steve Harvey show back when I was little~!!!! I was pulling for it, but the flavor just isn't flavoring. Or the mass production of those flavors isn't flavoring. The staff here has been really nice every time we've gone in. Friendly service, of course really cute shop that grabs you eye at the Century City food court, and the items sound great! Sadly, the cornbread was super dry despite being the best flavored item we tried - very corn forward and I mean that in the best way possible. I'm a former Chicagoan and thus a former Illinoisan, I love the husks. It shouldn't be served cold or looking like your five year old cut it with a butter knife, but really cornbread being dry is the biggest offense of the dish. Serving cold cornbread with ice cold butter to put on top is not the way. The mac and cheese was fine but again, a bit dry. It wasn't the amazing level we were expecting though from the guys. We've seen Anthony's mama on his shows and she would not approve. Now the meats made me the saddest. The chicken wings were so dry we couldn't finish them and generally just felt bland. That BBQ Ranch dipping sauce though - OMG so freaking delicious! The Quarter Brisket is the one item I would recommend. I mean brisket would be ghastly if dry and I'm happy to report it was not, but not full of flavor. Not for nothing, I was surprised the lemonade wasn't delicious! At BBQ, that seems like a cardinal sin. Nothing looked like the photos which is to be expected, but it was a bit too off in representation, and production. I can't with dry eats! Bring the moistness and you gonna bring Sarah back to try more. Smaller meat + Side + drink will run you Tried three times though and the dryness between dishes was consistent so I'll give y'all a minute before I head back to try the eats again.

Yelp
The sandwiches were great! The bbq sauce is thick and rich and is also outstanding. The fries were ok. The star here is the sandwiches. I am not used to going to bbq joints that front smell of smoke. This joint has no smoke smell that I noticed. To be honest I think this joint is out of place . A store in hollywood would be busy. The place in century city mall in the food court doesn't have much character or charm it's good for people watching. Oh I like their home made lemon aid.

Yelp
05/07/2025 Grand Opening today with a ribbon cutting. Cedric the Entertainer and Anthony Anderson will be there at noon for the store grand opening. Collaborating with Arby's, they have the meats served with their own BBQ sauce for each sandwich. You do have half a chicken, smoked brisket, chocolate chip cake, and banana pudding on the menu. Long lines to get in today with the two comedians at the register. Channel 7 entertainment news covering the story. If the DJ plays some tunes, it would be a great day for lunch. What did you have for lunch today?

Yelp
Food, Service, and ambiance are amazing here. The food was supremely delicious from the brisket sandwich to the brisket to the beans and the cornbread. But what struck my more than the flavors was the heart and soul of the staff working here. I've never in all my years reviewing for yelp seen a harder working staff and I showered them with as much love and respect as I could while they were preparing everything. Congrats to Anthony and Cedric on what is surely a fantastic place and to the manager and staff. They should be proud of themselves and know that teamwork makes the dream work. I highly recommend going to see it first hand and must say that Westside bbq has a new crown jewel. Thanks AC BBQ!

Yelp
The sweet tea tasted like home. The cashier recommended planks on a pillow and the brisket sandwich. They were both delicious. The brisket was smoky and juicy. While there were a lot of reviews putting this sandwich down, I found nothing wrong with it and being from Texas I can be picky. The planks on a pillow was sweet and tangy, it's what a McRib aspires to be. There are some cartilage bits but there's still plenty of tender pork in there. This was saucier than the brisket sandwich, but it's pretty authentic for brisket *not* to be saucy. The macaroni was decent. If you really have to beat a macaroni craving it will do it, but there's probably better sides. It's somehow both creamy and dry. I'll definitely be back. I can't wait to try the wings and the coleslaw.

Yelp
The previous 1 star reviews are NOT wrong. I'm always careful to put too much on 1 star reviews because people are hard to please these days, but this place, is TRAGIC. Let's get into it: Service: Cashier was nice, service is good. Food: Got the 1/4 brisket (picture is posted) and well...I probably could have done a better job with my crockpot. This meat has no flavor and is super fatty. The pickles and the sauce could only halfway save it. The Hawaiian roll was the best part of this snack box. Price: Here's the best part: It's expensive AF for no reason at all. $15 for this snack box with a sad piece of brisket. You can get an epic plate at Philips or woodys for the same cost or less, and those plates come with sides. We ended up at the Brazilian grill a few stalls over...now that's some great meat! Overall: Absolutely skip this. Such a shame.

Yelp
Finally tried this new barbecue spot in Century City Mall! The pulled pork was tender and more flavorful with the barbecue sauce, which I loved. Pulled pork also came with the softest rolls, pickles, and pickled onions. Sweet potato fries were good with crisp edge and soft middle but had too much salt. The coleslaw was also the perfect side with the pork. I also tried the Arnold Palmer, which unfortunately had a weird medicinal aftertaste, not sure if that was from the lemonade or tea so I barely drank it.

Yelp
First of all I had a hard time finding it so the location is not that greatest, it sits back and hard to see. The prices were reasonable but the food was just average. I didn't taste any smokiness in the ribs. They were very tender but lacked flavor. Taste like they were oven cooked instead of a being cooked on a pit. The sauce was good and it gave the meat the flavor it was lacking. The cornbread was dry, Mac & cheese was average. If you're in the area give it a try but do not go out your way. I live in Gardena and it was not worth the drive.

Yelp
Well I watched the show... had to try the food on the way to a show at the Forum tonight. I feel like everything the guys tried to get right on the show really cam across on the food! It was me and my son... and we got it all! Brisket was awesome. Tender, full of flavor the seasoning and the bark were on point. The chicken melted in your mouth, great skin... great flavor blended well with the sauces! The ribs were the high point for me! I am not a fan of having my ribs sauced before hand... but the way the ribs were sauced on one side and left unsauced(I don't want to say dry because they were anything but that!) on the other side. The seasoning was great! We got the mac and please ya and the cookout cornbread for sides and both were on point!! Bad things(I know I know... but not enough to take away a star!) 1. No pulled pork... understandable... busy day.... but we were not allowed to order the a to the c platter and substitute... not a big deal... we adapted. 2. Wings were very dry.. tough... maybe re-dropped or sitting... don't worry... I don't judge a bbq place on their wings! 3. Lastly! I think you need a "Cedric's nap area... as much as he "rested his eyelids" on the show... if I could have taken a nap I would have had dessert!! Next time... and there will be a next time!! Off to Walmart to find that end cap!!

Yelp
The brisket and chicken were unfortunately on the dry side, and the banana pudding was overly sweet. A more balanced flavor--perhaps mixing in some vanilla pudding like a classic homemade version--could make a big difference. The cornbread was also quite dry. Considering the celebrity names behind the brand, I expected a bit more refinement, and I think they could provide valuable input to the kitchen to elevate the dishes and better reflect their reputation.

Yelp
The bbq is better than bludsoe's. Manager is southern and legit. A word of advice, especially as you are ramping up throw in some free food that you can waste. Will get your reviews up especially as you are starting out. Show us that southern hospitality. Hope this place stays as it is one of the best food options in century city mall.

Yelp
Food court dining (we were concerned) Great BBQ and pricing wasn't bad at all for Los Angeles! We got the brisket (quarter) and pork (quarter) A side of Mac and Cheese and banana pudding All was wonderful .. we will be back! Compared to other LA BBQ we were surprised by the quality /price compared to others in the area

Yelp
Came with 4 friends excited to try this new BBQ spot. Service was great, but overall, the food didn't wow me The chicken wings were good. The ribs were average and needed more seasoning and more smoky flavor. The baked beans had good flavor but were way too peppery, coleslaw was just okay, and the banana pudding tasted generic, not homemade. It's not a bad place--just didn't stand out for me. Hoping they fine-tune the flavors because the potential is there.
google avatar

Yelp
This place was in a Mall food court, one of the nicer food courts I've ever been in. The customer service was excellent, my problem is the price for what I got. I spent $39 for a half slab of ribs ( flavor was just OK. I've had much better for a more reasonable price.) a side of baked beans ( very good) and a side of cornbread ( very good). Definitely not worth $40. I was hoping this was a place I could take my family, but my family of 4 will have to go elsewhere due to the ridiculous prices here. I would recommend this place if you can afford it. Those of us that have college students and private school students, may have to go elsewhere due.

Yelp
Ladies and gentlemen! Boys and girls! Please stop by AC's next time you go the century city mall in the food court. I had the brisket and it was amazing. Big portions! Can't wait to come back! Well done AC sooo goood !!!!

Yelp
I really wanted to like this place, but it fell short. The staff was pleasant and decor was nice. The entry way configuration was weird; with like two entrances, not really guiding you to the cashier. The main menu had only the smoke chicken plate available which was disappointing, it was only 5:39pm. It said half smoke chicken but it had no sides, how do we call that a plate. I ordered that, coupled with cornbread and baked beans. I was hungry so I took a table to eat it in the community seating area. The baked beans were ok, and the cornbread would have been better without the dollop of cream on top of it. The chicken was disappointing. It came out sort of cold and dry. Management, if you are reading this, please offer heavy utensils as the light weighted ones could not cut through the dry chicken. We're at a mall and it's hard to clean up with the little towelettes that are offered. Overall, the experience was ok, but could have been better, with a fuller menu. Hopefully you'll have wings and serve them fresh and warm. I understand that this is your only location. Hopefully time will work out all the kinks.

Yelp
We tried several items from the menu. Very generous servings. The St. Louis ribs were tender and meaty. BBQ chicken yummy! Food is a little spicy, but not "hot". Loved it. And , shout out to our server, Mario! So friendly and helpful! FYI- this is not a sit down, brick and mortar place. It is in the Food Court, but you can sit inside or outside, and the BBQ is worth it. Bravo Anthony and Cedric!

Yelp
I suggest you check your orders before leaving, I didn't realize until I got home that they messed up my sides. Everything was ok, I think I still prefer Wood Ranch for my bbq but nice addition to the Century City Westfield.
google avatar

Theodore C.

Yelp
Food was delicious. Fast food bbq was a great idea most items are like pulled pork, shredded of some sort. Had the "A to the C platter" $24.99 enough for 1 grown @$$ man! It was delicious. The provide Kings Hawaiian rolls and two slices of white bread. I would use 2 kings Hawaiian slices and eliminate the white bread. Mac and cheese was tasty, coleslaw was delicious, cornbread was good although being cold. Sauces should be in despinser. Service was good and the place was cute. Eating in the courtyard so this place is not a first date spot but nowadays it could be. I will return soon.

Yelp
One star for effort, I guess--but y'all, this ain't it. Disclaimer: I'm from Texas. So yes, my BBQ standards are high. But even with adjusted expectations, this place still missed the mark. I've just accepted that California folks really don't know how to BBQ. Let's start with the menu. Please--for the love of smoked meat--note that the brisket is CHOPPED. Had I known, I would've saved us all the disappointment. I asked for my brisket marbled and was met with, "What does that mean?" A BBQ joint. Asked me. What marbled means. You can't make this up. The staff told me it was "mixed in there" which I wanted to believe meant they just didn't want to slice it special for me. Nope. Chopped to oblivion. And flavor? Nonexistent. You'll need a full gallon of BBQ sauce just to give this meat a personality. Real BBQ doesn't need sauce--it complements, not compensates. The sweet potato fries? Salty AF. Still edible once I scraped off the salt like an archeological dig, but not enough to redeem the meal. Bottom line: $23 down the drain. I've had better BBQ at gas stations back home. This was a waste of my money and my lunch break. I'm annoyed, hungry, and still craving real BBQ. Do better.

Yelp
Ok, where to start ...for 3 ppl 100$ 3 brisket 3 mac 3 cornbread 3 lemonade which wasn't bad...but the food was extremely cold and old, brisket was tough as hell, mac was velveta replaced it with microwave heart dissatisfied. They did eat the bill, which was appreciated, But not ever going back

Yelp
I hate to say I was somewhat disappointed today. This was my first time dining in this restaurant and I was so excited. The person that took my order was extremely pleasant, very knowledgeable about the menu and shared information regarding the seasonings for purchase. I ordered the ribs with light barbecue sauce, cornbread, sweet potato fries with the Special seasoning, and the coleslaw. The place was extremely crowded and it seemed very disorganised. I made allowances for that because it is a Sunday in century city so it was very busy however the Restuarant management as far as completing the orders was extremely disorganised. In addition, they ran out of chicken and ribs. Keep in mind we're talking about a Sunday afternoon around 3 o'clock. There's no reason to run out of food that early specially barbecue ribs and this is a barbecue restaurant right?? It took about 25 minutes to get my food. It was packaged up as this is more like a takeout restaurant which I didn't know that initially but that part is okay. I checked my order and my fries were cold so I asked for another order and they accommodated me. The food was pretty good. My only complaint with the food is it was just too salty. The ribs were over seasoned in my opinion and with the sauce it was just too much. There was no special seasoning on my sweet potato fries as indicated on the menu. The coleslaw way too much mayonnaise and it was also very salty. The cornbread was good and my chocolate chip cookies were overcooked slightly burnt but I didn't go back to ask for another order of cookies. There was just too much going on and it seemed like the supervisor or manager didn't have a handle on things at least not today. As for the price of the food I thought it was very reasonable specially in century city. I may go back and try it one more time because again we need to make allowances for a new Resturant as I understand it takes time to work through all of the kinks. I would only ask that the owners - the cook whoever is preparing the food to lighten up on the salt.

Yelp
11/10!!! Had the sandwich, highly recommend. Great bread and meat. I personally loved the corn bread, sweet and savory.

Yelp
If you're looking for small portions, dry meat, and the worst cornbread you've ever had in your life all at through the roof prices look no further than AC Barbeque. You'll have to make the salaries the celebrities that sponsored this place make to afford to eat here. 7 dollar corn bread? 15 bucks for ONE SLICE of dry brisket? Everything is "ala carte" which is French for "a complete screw job". It took 2 years for this place to open and I give it six months before owners consider it a tax write off and shut it down.

Yelp
We ordered the brisket, the ribs, beans and Mac & Cheese. The flavor was Smokey and full of flavor. They have a smoker on site. Amazing!!!! Pickled onions, pickles all on point. Banana pudding great! We went all out. And glad we did! This place was not only completely affordable but portions were great. Make it the only option in the food court. Worth it!

Yelp
I really wanted to get behind AC BBQ and support it with a rave review, however I was very disappointed with the food. I'm giving 3 stars mostly for the service staff. They were friendly, professional and got the food out fast. You could see that they were trying their best to do a good job. The food however wasn't good. For a BBQ joint, you'd expect the smell of BBQ to hit you when you get near the restaurant and certainly when you open the door. This wasn't my experience. My friend and I shared a sample platter and a dripping chicken sandwich. I was surprised that none of the meat was marinated in BBQ sauce. All the meats (chicken, pork & brisket) were cooked plain with salt and pepper seasoning. The four BBQ sauces were served on the side. At the very least they should have been labeled with what flavor they were. I had no idea what dipping sauce went with what meat. If I wanted to order more, there was no name on the container for me to ask for it. Also, I think they can do away with so much bread and add a small side of beans or something instead. After all, this is a platter. Just meat & bread doesn't cut it. The chicken sandwich was okay. What saved it was the coleslaw. It had a spicy kick to it that was pretty good. Otherwise, it was just a chicken sandwich that I could have made at home. All the meats were dry, w/ no smoky taste at all, not even a hint of smoke. That's what BBQ is all about, the smoky taste & juicy meat and cooked with BBQ sauce. We had the banana pudding for dessert and again was disappointed. The tiny vanilla wafer on top was smaller than the sliced banana in the pudding & the light sprinkle of graham cracker at the bottom was a joke. At the end of the meal, my friend was so disgusted that she didn't even want to take home the leftovers. I reheated them the next day and had to add olive oil for moisture, but that didn't work, so I ended up throwing the remaining food away. Unfortunately, I won't be back. I drove all the way from Sherman Oaks and was expecting a lot more from two celebrities who know good and well what good BBQ at a cookout tastes like. Maybe they should stick to cooking in the backyard. They need to step up their game and work on those recipes some more.

Yelp
I went to the front counter and asked the cashier if a certain food item was good. She quickly said no it's nasty. Appreciate the honesty. I'll good to Chipotle

Yelp
This is my second time dining there and the food is great! Both times had the "Backyard Bang N Brisket" sandwich, Mac and cheese and backed beans. If you want some great BBQ and sides, this is the place to go!

Yelp
I most definitely wanted to love this place. Especially because I've been craving bbq. Walking in, the service was great. The gentleman who helped us was lovely! But the food was 1/10. Ribs were slimy, fat wasn't cut off. Chicken wings were disgusting, over cooked, terrible flavor. Coleslaw....? -10/10 The cornbread was good.... Save your money though.

Yelp
Excited for this new place in the food court! I'm writing this review cuz I'm shocked by all the reviews (that realize it's a brand new place) and being all upset stuff is sold out. Jeez give them a minute to get their bearings. I was there for lunch and I didn't have any issues. But if I did, I would most certainly be understanding about it. As the staff is clearly working hard. As for the food...delicious. I wasn't expecting it to be this good. It might be a problem lol

Yelp
My cousin and I have been planning to eat at this new bbq restaurant at the Westfield Century City Mall since it's opening. We were very disappointed with the food. We will not eat here again. I had the pulled pork sandwich, coleslaw, mac and cheese and sweet tea. Cousin had the brisket sandwich with sweet potatoes fries and lemonade. My sandwich was average tasting with no smoky flavor and the mac and cheese was straight out of a carton box. The coleslaw and sweet tea were good. My cousin's sandwich had a lot of fat in the brisket and the Hawaiian Bun was too thin to hold the meat. Sweet potatoes fries and lemonade was good. This food is meant for tourism. The service was friendly and fast. Simon was the manager today and I asked him if the meats are smoked. He responded yes, using an electric smoker. This explains the lack of flavor. My cousin wasn't satisfied with her meal and was still feeling hungry and purchases some food from Chik-Fi-La.

Yelp
We've been looking for a good barbecue place since our favorite Brother's Barbecue closed down. We decided to try AC. They are located in the food court in the Century City Mall and they just opened a few days ago so it was expected to be a wait. The line moved fairly quickly so no issue there but while in line a worker came out with a menu with some scratched off items showing us all of the foods they were out of. They open around 10am or 11am and here it is 6pm and they are out of all the main dishes. Funny thing is I told my husband before we left home...."WATCH THEY ARE GONNA BE OUT OF FOOD" I'm pretty sure Anthony and Cedrick are lending their name to the company and they are not running it but DAMN..... They have one person putting the orders together, one person on the register and 2 people just standing around doing absolutely nothing. The besides out of the main items the food wasn't the good. I'm from the south I know good barbecue and sauce. We ended up getting a brisket sandwich the meat was tough and regular fries and a pork sandwich and sweet potato fries. The sauce on the pork tasted not good. So I would say it's a hard no for us.

Yelp
I'd driven from Glendale to Century City's food court where huddled in a corner space ACBar-Be-Que rested. I ordered the St. Louis Barbecue Six ribs (Cedric is from Saint Louis) sprinkled with a not too bad sauce. This meal, and a can of a beverage cost close to thirty bucks. Unfortunately, the ribs were dry. The sauce didn't help. The ribs tasted like they were re-heated from another time. Whoever prepared these ribs couldn't have any experience in "BARBECUEOLOGY" ! Speaking with two other customers, their assessments were just as troubling. When the "Chef" attempts to prepare his concoction, don't! Go steal from Woody's

Yelp
My experience at AC BBQ was amazing. I was welcomed by a very friendly staff and the look of the restaurant was very cool. The lighting made the store feel all the more welcoming and added to the theme of their restaurant. The staff was hard at work and made sure I had everything correct with my order. The food was incredible. I got their chicken wings and their seasoning had so much flavor. I loved the sauce as well it added to the already flavorful chicken. Their half rack ribs were like no other. It came with great portion sizes and tasted amazing. The entire menu looked extremely appetizing and I wanted to try more. I will definitely be coming back to AC BBQ again.

Yelp
I've been coming to the Century City Mall for years now and was so pumped to find out that a new barbeque spot was getting put in. I finally got to try it and went with the Dripp'N Chicken with a side of their "Mac & Please... You". The chicken on the sandwich was perfectly juicy with tasty barbecue sauce, and complimented well by the coleslaw. The mac & cheese was sooooo good. Had just the right kind of cheese to pasta ratio. Had no issue getting my order in and the food came out quick and fresh. Since it's in the Century City Mall I was able to sit outside and enjoy my meal while getting some sun. Highly recommend if you're looking to scratch that BBQ itch and get some good food.

Yelp
The service was great. I thought it would be a sit-down restaurant but there was enough room in the food court to find a table. As far as the food, it works for the area it's in, because it was a little bland for my taste. Because of that I expected the sauce to deliver more of a "punch" but it it was "ok. It was really thin consistency. The venue is still new so I'll give it time and revisit. I'm happy it's here though.

Yelp
I have been to AC BBQ several times and each time the food was outstanding. Each time I visit Westfield Centruy City, I know I will be enjoying AC BBQ.

Yelp
Service was very good. Everyone smiles and is nice. The BBQ is meh. The chicken was pretty good. Not great. The ribs also. Decent not great. The brisket was bland. I like the bbq sauce it came with. Not sure which sauce. But had a good smokiness to it.
