Swanky New Flora Rooftop Bar Opens in Corporate-Heavy El Segundo - Eater LA

"The AC Hotel Los Angeles South Bay offers an open air lounging area ideal for corporate types and business travelers. Chef Dustin Taylor, previously at The Anchor in Venice, now heads Flora, the hotel's rooftop garden-inspired restaurant. The menu includes items like bread with herb butter, spot prawn and cod cheek with asparagus, miso butter fondue, and black rice, or beets with greens and goat cheese. Flora features an interior bar with garden-inspired drinks and an outdoor area with views of El Segundo and LAX." - Matthew Kang

All I’m usually looking for in a hotel: clean and safe. The room was immaculate. The lighting was awful. The service was four-star, and the workers were genuinely impressed warm and kind. It’s in a weird industrial location, but it’s only 10 minutes from LAX and the offer a $15 airport shuttle that leaves every 30 minutes. Definitely a great choice if you need to be by the airport. The surprise gem is the rooftop space. More kind people working there, but I didn’t enjoy the food. It’s worth it to go for the vibe though. Very “Instagram-able.” It was an overcast, but not-too-chilly afternoon, so we basically had the space to ourselves.

Facilities were very clean. Room was very comfortable. I only ate at FLORA but the drinks and food were very good. The view was fantastic and it was nice to relax in the sun! The staff were excellent; everyone was very friendly and helpful and had some nice conversations. The check-in texts weren't intrusive which was appreciated. I can't remember where yall purchased the local baked goods, but the chocolate cookie was amazing! Location was perfect as it was near SOFI Stadium and near the airport. The area was quiet and other than the person above me being somewhat loud, the noise level was low.

If you're staying in this area, this hotel is an absolute must. From the moment you arrive, the warmth and hospitality of the staff make you feel right at home. Danny at valet kicks things off with a big personality and even bigger heart—he’s hilarious, engaging, and genuinely interested in how your day is going. He sets the tone with his infectious energy the moment you step out of your car. Inside, Melanie at the front desk is the definition of hospitality. Whether you're returning from an early morning run or a long day at work, she’s always there with a warm smile and a kind word—no matter the hour. And when the day winds down, Ray behind the bar is the perfect nightcap. His cocktails are top-tier, and his conversation is the kind that makes you want to stay for just one more. He effortlessly reminds you why California living is so good—good drinks, good vibes, and even better people. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a stay that feels both luxurious and personal. The team here turns a regular stay into a memorable experience.

I love this hotel and I've now stayed at two other AC Hotel locations. I arrived late in the evening after a month-long trip, and I was greeted by Ashley at the front desk. She was kind and warm and helped me figure out how to handle the Lyft coupon. Yes! They give you a Lyft coupon to cover part of your trip from LAX to their hotel. Very nice!|The rooms are lovely, very comfortable king bed, large vanity in the bathroom (bring your own makeup mirror). It was a quick overnight stay, but I was so impressed I booked my next three trips at AC Hotels, so I clearly give them high marks. Enjoy!

I ate at Flora rooftop restaurant. I did not stay at this hotel. Parked in the parking garage. They validate parking for 2 hours. It was packed when I came in. Sat at the long fire pit table. The atmosphere was really nice! Decent menu options, not a ton to choose from. I ordered a margarita which was really good and the chicken sandwich. The food was good and plentiful. Servers were nice. As the night got later it got packed. Service definitely slowed down. I asked for more water it never came. Took a while for someone to bring me the check. Overall nice rooftop restaurant.

Clean, quiet, incredibly comfortable beds and exceptional linens. My son quipped: “see this is exactly the kind of hotel that I like - elegant and superior without pretension.” (We were discussing luxury vacation hotels in Hawaii; and AC won). The breakfast was classy and abundant. And staff incredibly responsive and professional.

Google
Rooms were decent. Customer service was lacking luster. Be careful if the front desk nickle and dime charging you for little things such as the shuttle to the airport. Amenity fees were over $100 per night. Hotel restaurants were quite expensive with limited offerings. Great location 10 or so min away from airport.

Beds were very comfortable, front desk and valet were very nice. Hotel itself is beautiful, clean, very modern. Didn't get a chance to try the rooftop bar but definitely will next time. Quiet rooms and hallways, used the gym which was very spacious and clean. Will be returning.

Yelp
I stayed at AC Hotels LAX for a night before flying out, wrapping up a business trip. The location is super convenient--just a short 10-minute drive to the rental car return and close to the airport. They offer valet parking for $39, or you can choose the self-park option. Customer service was great! I reached out earlier in the day via the Bonvoy app, requesting a quiet room on the top floor, away from the elevator and ice machine, and they accommodated my request perfectly. The room itself was modern and spacious--I booked a king room, and it felt much bigger than expected. The lighting options throughout the room were a nice touch. The only downsides? There's no elite lounge, and the gym is on the smaller side. But overall, it was a fantastic stay, and I'd definitely return!

Yelp
We needed a hotel close to LAX and this fit the bill. The AC brand offers a modern no-frills room with all you would want- a fridge, plenty of outlets, a safe, and plenty of room for your belongings. (Although I can't stand the noisy, awkward sliding door to the bathroom.) The staff is friendly. You can self park for $34 a day or valet park for $39. If you're needing a ride to LAX they have a shuttle that starts running at 6 a.m. It's $10 a person or $20 per group. The airport is about 10 minutes away. If you are dropping someone off like we were, parking is only $9 an hour at the airport so it was cheaper than taking the shuttle. We found that when needing to go to LAX, staying at the AC was a great choice.

Yelp
Love this Hotel, their CS is so accommodating and friendly. Special Shout Out to Ken, Thiana at the Check In. They go above and beyond to make sure your stay it memorable. The rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet. On site breakfast area, two bars, with outdoor patios. Shaun the Manager is super helpful and accommodating as well. We will return

Yelp
I think AC Hotel by Marriott is underrated for the quality of service and product it offers. Check in was fast, efficient, and fuss-free. I was given the feather-free room away from the elevator and ice machine as I requested. The room was clean and I enjoyed my stay. I just wish the bathroom was cleaner and the curtains provided better room darkening. It would be nice if the room also provided a microwave. Parking is only $15 in the garage which is inexpensive compared to nearby hotels. The location is only about 10 minutes away from LAX and not far from the beach. I wouldn't mind returning just for some quiet me-time in the future or for early morning flights.

Yelp
I booked this hotel as a convient location to park my car for my family first trip to Japan. On te website it says 6-11 for the shuttle. We arrived at 9:04 and we were told the shuttle is every 30 minutes, no where on the website. Then the shuttle arrived over 10 minutes late so we had to take an uber. One of the worst experiences of my life with my baby and I ended up running through the airport. Don't come here, very unprofessional. I spoke to Ernesto who told me he would give a partial refund after the staff told me I would get a full refund. Once I receive my refund I will follow up here. Make sure you don't come here if you need a reliable transportation to the airport.

Yelp
I was thoroughly impressed with the level of care and consideration this hotel staff shows its clients. Everyone is accommodating, helpful, and very efficient. The grounds are upscale and immaculate. Photo ops were everywhere. The hot tub is miraculously soothing. I met some amazing people during g my staycatiin. Room was modern, sleek and gorgeous. Bed is super comfy. I slept like a log. I watched back to back episodes of The Office on the tv. We had dinner on the rooftop. It was lovely. I do wish they had more variety on the food and drinks menu, but I really can't complain! I loved my stay. I love that this hotel is tucked away and private. Will definitely be back as this will become part of my self care routine.

Yelp
Good from far but far from good...initially upon our arrival we thought this was a nice hotel. It has a clean, modern look and we found free street parking close by. Check-in was smooth and the room appeared modern and clean as well. Unfortunately these pleasant aesthetics weren't enough to make up for the annoyances of our stay. First, we left our "please service" indicator on the room when we left for the day, only to return at the end of the day to find the room still a mess, no made beds, no fresh towels, etc. They never serviced the room. Next, we had some major plumbing issues with the toilet. We also visited the rooftop bar, Flora, which was insanely overpriced and is not west-facing so no sunset views from up top. Speaking of insanely overpriced...we purchased 1 bottle of water and 1 regular size bag of M&Ms in the lobby, and it was nearly $14. The real kicker was after we checked out and received our folio via email only to find they charged us $68 for self-park, despite never parking on the hotel property (as previously mentioned, we found off-site free parking on a nearby street). Pretty insane that they made this assumption when we literally NEVER had any contact with parking attendants or structures there. I think they were banking on us not noticing this, and it felt very scammy. Luckily, we thoroughly reviewed our bill and noticed it, but it took multiple phone calls and time on hold to resolve this and get a credit issued....not something someone wants to deal with on vacation. We will not be staying here again and do not recommend it to others.

Yelp
I considered keeping this slightly hidden gem close to the vest, but my Mississippi roots nudged me to share the wealth. So, here's a quick recap of what I loved about my recent stay at this hotel: 1. The AC Hotel Brand - I've been a Marriott rewards member for years, and, honestly, the AC Hotel just wasn't on my radar as a rock solid property to stay at for business and leisure travel. After two great experiences with AC Hotels this year--Barcelona in April and this property during Memorial Day weekend--they are now one of my top choices in the Marriott portfolio! I'm noticing that I usually love their locations, amenities, overall customer service experience, and the guests at these properties seem more approachable and hip. 2. Location - I've stayed all over the LA Metro Area during my visits over the years: Pasadena, Culver City, San Bernardino, Altadena, Highland, and DTLA. This was by far my favorite location. I was literally right by LAX, Venice Beach & Santa Monica was on the other side of the airport, and I was a short drive (15-30 minutes) from minority-owned businesses in Inglewood, Baldwin Hills, Leimert Park, Culver City, Koreatown, West Hollywood, Ladera Heights, and throughout the South Bay. Shortly after checking in at the hotel, I also walked about 3 miles west to the El Segundo Beach, and there was a beachfront trail that went to Manhattan Beach that was full of runners, cyclists, rollerbladers, and people walking. So, lots of physical activity options nearly. Another thing I noticed on that walk is the stark contrast between the east and west sides of El Segundo. The side of El Segundo where the hotel is located is mostly industrial chic and quiet, which I absolutely loved. After I crossed the Pacific Coast Highway, it was a lot more residential and felt like a Norman Rockwell painting. That part of El Segundo was right on brand when a random teenager yelled a racial slur at me (from behind my back) for simply existing and minding my business. Hmmm... I graduated from the #1 high school in my home state, have an Ivy League degree, a graduate degree from a Top 20 school, and I've been accepted to both medical school and a PhD program in the past. So, the math formulas in my brain were unbothered by that level of ignorance, and I took the high road right back to my hotel in East El Segundo. 3. Customer Service - Prior to booking this hotel, I read multiple reviews that mentioned the front desk staff weren't particularly friendly or welcoming. I disagree. The hotel staff here were great and really helpful whenever I needed help, and they were able to meticulously accommodate all my requests when I experienced an unexpected mechanical issue with my vehicle that required two separate tows, coordinating parking with valet, and extending my stay an extra day. 4. The View - While the view from my hotel wasn't magical by any means, I enjoyed seeing trains come by on the elevated train tracks and planes flying in and out of LAX. I also had a direct view of the Air China and Los Angeles Times corporate buildings from my hotel room, which both have special meaning to me personally (my trip to China and Japan in 2018 on Air China) and professionally (encouraging my community partners to work with members of the press to amplify their messages).

Yelp
The roof top and hot wings are the bomb! Easy airport shuttle service. The beds are comfortable and the bath products are surprisingly good.

Yelp
4 1/2 stars Nice and modern hotel nicely situated and decorated. Valet or self parking. There is a 5 story adjacent garage where you must park on the 5th floor for hotel. Self parking is $27 a day Spacious lobby and free coffee. 6th floor restaurant and bar. I heard music coming from there. They have live music some nights. My wife surprised me with a getaway. Well thought of. The room and amenities are good and it's a nice place to stay It was a bit busy at times and it seemed that people liked the place.

Yelp
We only stayed for one night but I have no complaints. Parking is not free, we did our research and went in knowing this. Breakfast was not included but they did have a decent menu or small buffet you can pay for. Front desk staff, bar staff and breakfast staff were all professional. Rooms modern and very clean. So convenient to LAX.

Yelp
Hotel was clean and the area felt safe, exactly what I was looking for. Front desk was friendly. Gas station is pretty close by too. I stayed for a very brief 1 night to be close to LAX. The parking structure is to the immediate left of the hotel. You have to drive up to floor 5 or so....toward the top of the structure. Valet was $5 more than self parking, but I just did self parking for $34. They said valet was 24 hours, but I had an early flight and just did it myself. If doing self park, drive car into the structure and you will get the paper card, then when checking in, tell them you have a car there so they can link your hotel room key to the parking, have the front desk throw away your paper card, your room key will be the way you exit the parking garage gate. I also saw there was very limited 3 hour public parking on the street close to the hotel...?

Yelp
My mother and I booked one night with 2 queen beds before a flight. After checking in, we were assigned to the 3rd floor. Elevator floor appeared stained and sticky. We opened the hotel room and was surprised to see one king bed. We went straight down to get this corrected. We were then assigned to a room on the 1st floor. The room itself was banged up, scratches on the walls and above tables. The bathroom looked untouched and perhaps recently updated? Not sure why the rest of the room wasn't fixed. Amenities left something to be desired. Best part of the hotel is the bar and lounge area. Super fun.

Yelp
This property has a lot of promise but fell short of expectations due to some poor decisions and maintenance practices by management and staff. On the upside, the property is clean from a sanitation standpoint and conveniently located to LAX and SoFi stadium. We loved the vinyl flooring in the rooms and the comfortable mattresses. Water station on every floor is a great idea and should be replicated everywhere- loved that. Here is what fell short: NO HAPPY HOUR AS PROMISED. Happy hour is advertised as DAILY. See their Open Table profile. We were very looking forward to happy hour drinks downstairs but the bar had been bought out for the loudest damn baby shower you have ever seen. We were then told by the bartender that happy hour is only on weekdays, not as advertised. No happy hour offered upstairs in lieu of downstairs being rented out. Portion of elevators broken. Long elevator waits. No effort to fix. Light bulbs out and empty body wash dispenser in the showers. Huge inconvenience to exist the shower wet, throw on clothing, and chase down body wash. Asked for an extra blanket they said they would send up but never arrived. Ripped up wallpaper. I mean, badly. See pic. I'll likely go back to the Hyatt Regency instead next time.

Yelp
Great prices , great staff, and clean hotel! I really enjoyed my stay at this amazing hotel! By far one of the best hotels I've stayed in! The room was very modern and clean! Upon entrance we were greeted by some amazing front office staff! They helped us get settled in, and we paid for parking upon arrival ($27 for self parking)! The only shock I had was that this hotel serves breakfast, but it is not included in your stay so you will have to pay for your meal! My partner did not have a too pleasant experience with a staff member because he was unaware that you had to pay... he stated that he asked, and that he received a not to pleasant comment from the staff member... we brushed it off because we really enjoyed the hotel/our stay! Overall, Thank you to the young lady at the front office ! She truly made me feel welcomed, she made the check-in and check out process easy!

Yelp
Valet damaged my car. Curb rash, gouge taken out of a wheel, scratched rims, and an obvious hit on the bumper. I'm stuck with four figures of damage. I spent hundreds of dollars more than standard LAX parking only to have my car damaged anyways. The manager was supposed to call me back, but they're nowhere to be found. The hotel may be nice, but I wouldn't park here ever again.

Yelp
What a pleasure it was staying here. I was in need of a close to LAX airport before moving my MIL back to the east coast after a car accident. Matt, the manager and Delilah at the front desk were the most courteous and professional staff possible. They helped us with last minute reservations as well as mobility access setup for the MIL. Delilah even came up to our room to drop the MIL keys to her room when they were ready. Above and beyond is certainly how I would describe the service here. 1000% recommend and will stay there again in the future. Thanks Matt & Delilah!

Yelp
We enjoyed our short stay at AC hotel. It's located in a little business/industrial area. Parking is 27/night in the structure next the the hotel. Valet partaking for a few dollars more. Checkin was seamless. There's a little store, gym, bar/lounge. There are 3 restaurants which include a rooftop lounge with live music. We did not eat here, so I can't comment on the food. The room had minimalist décor, but was comfortable and modern looking. Nice size tv, fridge and bath items. We would love to return for a longer stay next time and plan to check out the rooftop lounge.

Yelp
This is actually one of the best hotels I have stayed in. The room is clean and the layout is pretty good. There are good outlets and usb ports for your small electronics and the room is spacious. They have a pullout couch as well if you have a guest. The bathroom is well designed as well but the highlight is that they don't have a fully carpeted floor. This probably eliminates the bad smells you usually have in hotels. They also have a pretty decent gym, restaurant and bar. I had breakfast here and the breakfast burrito was amazing. It is located in an industrial area and they have a self parking garage or valet. Overall a very nice hotel.

Yelp
The reason for the 1 star is due to the rude and disrespectful behavior by "supervisor" Brandon and Julie. Both of these individuals do not belong anywhere in the hospitality industry as they have zero skills! I called to ask a simple question regarding four separate folios I received and credit card charges in a span of 5 minutes. Julie got upset and put me on hold without informing me she was doing so and Brandon.....let's just say he thinks it's ok to put customers on hold without warning! Brandon seems to think AC Hotel is the Four Seasons......but with the attitudes of the staff and leadership they could never hold a candle to the service one would receive at the Four Seasons. The reviews that have complaints about customer service and valet parking are TRUE! The rooms, roof top, restaurant, lounge are stellar! But the staff at the front desk and so called "supervisor" needs to be replaced! Along with the valet parking staff! I put in a call to an executive at Marriott and they will be addressing the matter.

Emily P.

Yelp
Although I didn't stay at the AC Mariott, I did use them for their overnight airport parking. The hotel seemed very clean and staff were nice. However, even though had the lowest rate for airport parking, getting a shuttle back (especially after a long day of travel) was a nightmare. They only have one shuttle and even if you book your ride back to your car, you may not have priority if the shuttle fills up before you can get on. While other hotels have multiple shuttles going back and forth transferring people, we waited around 45 minutes just to get picked up from the airport. As long as you are aware of that part I would say for the price and the covered parking it was a decent experience.

Yelp
So happy with my experience at the AC Hotel! My apartment was getting some maintenance work done, so I had to find a hotel near me to stay the night. I'm so happy I found the AC Hotel! The lobby is bright and modern, and the staff upon arrival was so helpful and made sure I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. My room was spacious and had an office desk so I could get some work done. For dinner I enjoyed the food and live music on the rooftop deck. The vibes were uplifting and my food was fantastic. After dinner I got a drink at the bar downstairs, and enjoyed my time sitting next to the outdoor fireplace. This is a beautiful hotel with a great staff and ambiance, as well as being conveniently located minutes away from LAX. I managed to get seven hours of great sleep, due to the blackout curtains and minimal noise in my room. The gym on first floor exceeded my expectations for a hotel gym. It's equipped with dumbbells, cable machines, battle ropes, pull-up bar, and treadmills. Overall incredible experience. I'm looking forward to my next stay at the AC Hotel!

Yelp
This hotel was very clean and as a Marriot member I got a pretty good deal! It is also in a very nice and safe area! The area was beautiful and had a few good places to eat around! The only reason I give it a 4 star was because you have to pay an extra $34 for parking each day, and we stayed for 4 nights. Ended up parking somewhere else and walked because we did not want to add that extra just to park our car. Also requested extra towels and never got it.

Rob H.

Yelp
Just great all around. We moved to this hotel from a nightmare of a hotel that was a mile closer to the airport. (LAX hotels are commonly pretty painful, but this one is great) Brand new and very clean everything. Very quiet and pretty courtyard and rooftop. Room is so clean. Amazingly nice staff. Everyone from the front desk, to the valet, to the bartender ray, to even the maintenance worker have been sincerely so nice. Everything here just makes sense. Like everything was designed with common sense and comfort in mind. It's worth paying the extra $40-60 a night compared to many of the awful LAX hotel options nearby. Also, no pet fees. We love it here.
google avatar

Yelp
Pretty happy with my stay until the end. Beautiful hotel, room was very clean, cool rooftop bar and everyone seemed very nice but I hate sneaky fees and this one got me pretty upset... Parking is 27dollars a day which is incredibly strange to me that I'm a guest at your hotel and you don't validate my parking. Dumb... I've never stayed at a Hotel where I wasn't offered free parking for my stay. Ps nowhere else to park fyi. No street parking, no other lots etc.. Just remember whatever you're paying for your room you'll have to tack on a extra 30.00 a day. AC Hotel, be upfront and add it into your total bill, don't be sneaky it comes off like a scam

Yelp
Great location convenient to LAX and SoFi stadium. Quick check in. Loved the room layout. Bench across the length of the room that can be used for luggage, seating or a bed for the reject in the party...lol. Comfortable beds. Fridge with adjustable temperature. Rain shower. Very clean and modern. Fairly quiet room even with the trains, planes and automobiles going by. Valet staff took great care of me!

Yelp
I have not actually stayed at this hotel; but have attended a few events here and last time I attended an event I order from the bar a was asked if I'd like to open a tab and I did. The bartender took my credit card and never returned it back to me. The next day I realized I had not received it and called the hotel. I was initially told that it was impossible that the waiter did not return my card to me as they are not to keep customers credit cards. After going back and forth with the manager she finally agreed to check the camera and saw that the bartender had not returned it back to me and he did not return another customers card to her either. She further informed me that my card was misplaced and could not be located. It was at first implied that I was lying. This situation turned into nightmare with having to call my bank and other entities. The hotel staff lacked professionalism and common courtesy.

Emily L.

Yelp
The hotel is just 8 min away from LAX. I was wondering if it would be noisy, but it wasn't. Room and hallway are clean. There is vinyl wood floor in a room which I liked the most. The room was a bit small but sofa and bed are comfortable.

Yelp
A lot of the hotels in the Marina Del Rey area weren't getting good reviews. After researching, I chose this hotel because the reviews were good. Location: near airport about 4 mins Parking: $25/ day valet $30/day Hotel: Nice! Open, bright and modern. Hand sanitizer stations around. They have clorox wipes to use in open area use spaces. They have a snack shop off the front desk. Prices are pretty steep. I suggest bringing your own drinks and snacks. They have an area across from the front desk were you can use the computer and print things. I have T-Mobile and my service was not good inthe hotel. I gather it is due to the hotel being located in an industrial park, I had to connect to the hotel's wifi; glad it was free! Staff: Very pleasant and accommodating. I had an Amazon package delivered and the front desk people made sure I received it. Ricky, Brandon and Lafaye at the front desk were awesome!!! Whenever I called down for something, it arrived to my room within 5 minutes. Good stuff! Room: Clean and bedbug free. I brought bedbug glue traps and no bugs appeared on the trap!!! The rooms have a bell and instead of those paper do not disturb tags that drop off your door handle, they have a button you can push from inside your room that lights up outside your door for privacy and or service. T.V is a smartv so you have options. If you have video gamers who bring their game system, just know that once they connect that HDMI cable, the sound will be either VERY LOUD or no sound at all; there's no in between so don't call the front desk. Due to covid (thought restrictions were lifted), the cleaning people do not throughly clean rooms daily, they change sheets (I believe or make the bed) ask at the front desk and empty trash. I was not happy to find that out because spills occur and things need to be wiped down daily so bring clorox wipes to wipe down after yourself. AC Lounge has indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is very stylish! They offer breakfast ( until 10am) but it's limited and for the price the portion is very small. We ordered the breakfast sampler which included half a scrambled egg (lol ok it looked like an half an egg), 1 piece of bacon, some potatoes and a half a waffle. The lounge offers food 5pm until 10pm. The Flora Roof Top on the 6th floor is a must see. Ambiance is very nice! Drinks are small and pricey; the menu is limited but you will enjoy the view. Their spinach salad and flora fries were delicious. The server Ricky fun and nice. Overall my 5 night stay was great. I would Iike to see better menu options and prices. I definitely added this hotel to my list of hotels P.S they have the best ice machine!!! It has options!! You can get water, peppled ice or ice and water!!! Never saw that before. Loved it!!!

Yelp
The AC hotel South Bay is one of the best boutique hotels i've stayed at. The location is near LAX, low key but in a prime area. The aura upon walking in made me feel so welcomed--it also has a light eucalyptus/zen scent that i loved! All of the employees were so nice and accommodating. The rooms are pretty spacious with higher than normal ceilings and a laminated wood floor which is aesthetically pleasing. Everything was clean and the towels were soft and super white. I didn't make it to Flora, the rooftop bar but it looks like a vibe and I think it's open until 11pm. They have a small fitness center but it got job done. The aesthetic is very sleek and modern--the hotel was built in 2019 and it shows. I would definitely recommend and i'll be staying at AC hotels more.

Yelp
So very nice a place to stay. Room designs are reasonable which is not common even in a lot of 5-star hotels. Good price.

Yelp
I arrived at the AC Hotel, checked in and was on my way to the airport in less than 30 min. However, on my way back I waited over an hour for the shuttle to pick me up. The number I was told to call or text would not pick up or respond, it would go straight to voicemail. After multiple texts, voicemail messages and between 1-2 calls, I finally called the hotel directly they told me to call the number again as dispatch was going to be picking up. Again, multiple calls later no answer. I called the hotel direct again who then made arrangements for my pick up. The shuttle driver picked me up and then proceeded to make 2 more rounds around the airport after picking me up and complaining and cussing the whole way and driving like a maniac. I finally made it to the AC to pick up my car. I did let the hotel staff know how bad the driver was hopefully something will be done. I won't be using the AC for parking again which is a shame because it is a nice place to park and very close but after a long trip home the last thing you want is to wait for over an hour to make it to your parked car.

Yelp
First off LA is trash. The hotel is near the airport so you'll definitely hear the planes but it isn't that bad. The hotel is surrounded by office buildings and due to COVID, there's isn't much traffic within the surrounding area. The noise you might complain about are the guest next door to you because the walls are thin. The parking I think is the big issue with the hotel. You either pay out the ass for valet or drive up to the 5th floor of the parking garage that is next door, take the elevator or stairs back down to the ground floor to walk over to the hotel. By the way, you pay for that as well. Meanwhile the parking spaces below you are for surrounding offices and buildings. Stayed for 4 nights and let me tell you, no one parks on those spaces below. There's no microwave. There's no coffee maker in the room but you have an ice bucket. Oh, there's also no cups. You get one bottled water inside the fridge that's not even on. Bring everything you think you would need because you'll most likely pay for it dow Great looking hotel. Simple rooms with a comfy bed. Just poorly executed.

Yelp
Hotel is very pretty however not accommodating for people literally paying to stay here. The upstairs restaurant doesn't even offer a kids menu, and the lobby restaurant was booked for a private party. The coffee shop downstairs doesn't even open till 6 AM, room service is even open until 4 PM. We are here for business so of course not able to get any sort of coffee or meal for breakfast. We had a horrible experience at the hotel restaurant called Flora with horrible food, and under staffed service. Looks like a Marriott, service of a Days Inn. Especially with it being so close to LAX you'd think it'd be WAY better. As a Good Star Marriott member, we are super dissatisfied in this place

Yelp
Stayed here briefly for a one night stay for a super quick trip to LA. The hotel aesthetically wise is gorgeous, sleek and gives a bit of minimalistic vibes as well. The hotel does has valet because we were given that option when we first arrived but decided to self park since it was not that far from the building. Check in was a breeze. The room is pretty nice and very clean! It was sealed saying it has been sanitized and cleaned before entering which I can totally appreciate. The room itself is pretty narrow and not large. There wasn't a ton of storage space if you do have a lot of baggage. I didn't see this till later but from other reviews it seems like breakfast was complimentary but we missed that because we were not informed about it at check in. That would've been nice. Other than that the stay was pretty smooth and would likely stay here again if I needed to be in the area.

Yelp
As far as I can tell, this place as the best view of the city on the rooftop. It has a wonderful bar with yummy cocktails and I believe they have bites also but I didn't partake. They have cute fireplaces outside and the whole place has a nice modern vibe that I dig. A great place for a first date or to bring an out-of-towner.

Yelp
Very modern and beautiful Marriott hotel near the airport . Disappointed I didn't get a room upgrade or even a mention that I was a Titanium member but was given a choice for points or food credit. I would come back during the week for business not not likely for the weekend as some loud people like to hang out here for fun. People next room were polite enough to lower their TV after I complained to the front desk but wish it were quieter here. They charge $15 to valet and $10 to self park only the the fifth floor of the structure nearby so they make it hard to pass on the valet parking. No cups of any kind in room due to COVID so bring a cup and your own coffee also.

Yelp
I have to say, this is one of the nicest hotels I've every stayed in! Exceptionally clean. Modern amenities. Beautiful patio spaces and rooftop. Staff was very professional and attentive. Paid garage parking available. I have stayed here twice now, and it is the hotel I recommend to friends and family when they visit LA.

Yelp
A hotel worth staying in that's near LAX. +Was able to check in early within minutes. +Room was a decent size and nice. +Their tech guy that fixed the cable box in my room was cool and suggested some places to grab a beer and watch the games. +Rainfall shower head was great. +Slept great for being near an airport. +Nice lounge inside including the patio, and FLORA on the rooftop has nice drinks and a nice view of the area. -The lady that answered my call to fix the cable in the room was annoyed that I called about it. Aside from her all the other staff here were great. -Not much in walking distance. -Pillows could be better I'd stay here again.

Yelp
Beautiful hotel!! My room was very clean and modern. Staff was helpful. Only thing I disliked was that they charge for daily parking. The walk from the lot to the hotel is NOT bad at all though, good way to get your steps in. Would def come back! 10/10 recommend.

Yelp
Newly opened AC in El Segundo. Pros: Convenient to LAX/105 New/Clean property Friendly staff Fitness room (3 treadmills) Minimalist decor in rooms but all the necessities for business travel Reasonably priced (at least on my visit) Cons: Self park is located in parking garage self park on the 5th floor (and I was usually grabbing the last spot in the evening) Self parking-$15 (valet $25) Flora rooftop restaurant hadn't opened Definitely recommend.

Yelp
Staff: Superb, friendly service 5/5 Wifi: High speed was good but not stable in my room 3/5 Room: I had an accessible room which was nice to have but did not work out for my needs, I had a flooded room (they had warned me) but unfortunately I didn't have much options. Bed was decent. I didn't have as many complaints about my room as my colleagues did - just the bathroom flooding and some water seem to come up from under the flooring as well 3.5/5 One of my colleagues had ants in his room. The other colleague complained of water drips. I could hear quite a bit through the walls. Smoked Manhattan 5/5 Superb drink made by Courtney at the bar. I would come back for that drink. Nice live music on a Thursday night as well. Would I use this hotel again - No but I would go back for a drink :) Location is super convenient to the airport and in my case to a work event!

Yelp
Giving stars for the modern look of the lobby and rooms. But the customer experience is not pleasant. My only complaint in the room was that we were provided coffee cups that were not covered in a plastic container. We checked in at 10pm to ensure that we arrived El Segundo the day before my kid's activities, early the next day. We were informed by front desk that we would have breakfast to go at 6am the next day without needing a voucher. The following day, we did not see any bags or breakfast boxes provided at the dining area. At 620am (note:I was waiting for breakfast to come out since 612am), I asked the kitchen staff, in the kitchen, if they were going to bring the boxes out. One of the kitchen staff member, asked me how many boxes. I said 3, even though we're 4. Usually there's a lot in a box and I didn't want to waste the food. Then he asked what group we were in. I told him our team name, but he said he did not recognize it. I told him our room number, but he said he didn't need that info. We go to the front desk, but they didn't have our event associated with our room (nor the name of the group that the kitchen staff member was referencing) only our team name. At that point, I didn't have the capacity to argue nor wait. We had to make it to our game, so I just took off and advised the kitchen staff member that I hope they do better than how they did today. In my mind: * Why promise breakfast and not provide it on time? * Why would you make it so difficult for paying guests to avail of a paid service and have the guest go thru hoops and bounds just to get food? * if there was specific information needed, why were we not informed of the procedure? Front desk merely told us that breakfast would be prepared for us to grab and go. If we had known, we would have allocated more time to leave earlier so we could get food for our kids before heading to their game.

Yelp
I don't often leave reviews, but I had to after this stay. This was truly the worst hotel stay I've ever had all due to poor management. The hotel placed us in a room that would later be directly above a 20 year high school reunion party on a patio below our room. We had our baby and our dog with us and settled in around 4pm. The party started in the evening and was playing loud music, which was fine for a bit. I called the front desk at 9:30pm to ask when the music would go off and the person said at 10pm. I called again at 10:30pm to ask when the music would go off as it was still playing and the person said they would ask the DJ to turn the music down. At 11pm I called and asked for the manager and he shared that the party was actually SCHEDULED to go to 1am and the music would not go off before then. He offered for us to move rooms but our baby was already asleep. The DJ was playing LOUD heavy beats that we could feel as we were laying in bed. We called the manager multiple times to ask him to manage the situation and he said there was nothing he could do and was even a bit rude and defensive. He offered us a free stay and points which didn't even begin to compensate us for starting our vacation on a night of little sleep with a baby. We had driven many hours to get to LA and were ready to relax. We were up until the party stopped around 1am. The party was prioritized over their paying guests' and Marriott members' and experience I'm assuming because of the money the party brought in. He didn't manage the situation well, and whoever did room assignments completely missed the importance of placing all guests away from that side of the hotel due to the party. We received rude treatment from another front desk person the next morning until we talked to their customer experience manager, who was the only professional person we talked to. She was great at customer service and expressed apologies and helped us with refunds and points. The hotel and rooftop are nice, however the experience ruined whatever nice parts there were.

Yelp
